fallendemon248: He got it earlier in the story.
900: That gave off a very Charles Boyle vibe.
DeathLock: So far all I've got is sassy, lol.
Dayside: That's because I post for other stories as well in-between my own hectic life. I've currently got 8 stories up at the moment.
Chapter 76 -
"Hi," Harry said casually as he arrived on Asgard with Hela walking in just behind him, the portal closed behind him as everyone turned to face him. They all stared at him and Hela, some even with open mouths. "so...what's up?" Harry asked as if the very woman that he fought in this place wasn't behind him.
"Harry," Thor spoke, a pained look on his face. "what is happening right now?" He asked with forced calmness.
"I honestly do not have an answer that you'd like." Harry openly admitted.
"Why is she back?!" Brunnhilde demanded, adopting a fighting stance.
"Peace, peace, can I just have a bit of peace for five minutes?" Harry sighed. "I'm too tired for this shit. I just fought the goddess of death before being dragged with her back to what was apparently her home for Merlin knows how long, and let me tell you all, it was terribly horrible."
"Try staying there as long as I have." Hela snorted.
"Thanks but no," Harry politely refused. "my grip on sanity is spider-web thin as it is."
"Harry, you mind explaining why you brought her back to Asgard?!" Thor blurted out.
"I made a deal with her," Harry began. "and I..."
"And you expect her to honor your deal?!" Loki's exasperated voice cut Harry off.
"You can't trust her!" Brunnhilde agreed. "She's evil and cruel and..."
"And everything I was once considered to be," Harry interrupted. "let me tell you all a fact that you should remember. Monsters are not born, they are created. I'm not making excuses for her, but let's be honest, Odin messed up with her."
"Are you kidding me?!" Thor hissed. "You bring her back and now you're blaming my father and..."
"Thor," Harry cut him off, rolling his eyes as he did so. "your father, as far as I am aware, has been responsible for three different children. Let's see, first, we have Loki, the 'god of mischief' who has parental issues that are at least ten miles high when stacked and he tried to enslave an entire planet. Then we have you, a guy who was pretty much a massive, chaotic dickhead before Jane got to you. Oh, and let's not forget the fact that Odin banished you to another planet which is not something a parent should do, good reason or not."
"He banished me to another realm." Hela pointed out in a sour voice.
"Yeah, I'm getting to you, wait a sec." Harry continued. "I should also point out that he was purposefully willing to let Jane die because he didn't believe that her life held the same value as any Asgardian, which is funny given that the guy preaches peace and companionship."
"You know, I'm starting to like you," Hela commented, staring at Harry.
"Thanks," Harry nodded to her before continuing. "and then we have Hela," Harry paused to gesture to Hela. "one of the few people that I've met that are as fucked up as I am, though the jury is still open on that one."
"Harry," Thor sighed. "I admit that my father was far from perfect but..."
"Far from perfect? Far from perfect?!" Hela roared, not even noticing the other Asgaridan's tensing up. "He was as close to perfect as he was to me! He demanded excellence from me! Trained me as early as possible and told me my purpose was to be his weapon! I aimed myself where he told me to! All your wealth, all your gold, power, and strength, none of it would be possible without me! And what did he do?! As soon as I was no longer perfectly in his control he sent her and her companions after me!" Hela shouted, pointing to Brunnhilde. "Do you think you needed to fight me?! On whose orders did you fight me?!"
"You killed all of us!" Brunnhilde shouted angrily.
"And why do you think that was?!" Hela shouted back. "I was Odin's most powerful fighter and he knew it, yet he sent you after me. Either he overestimated you and underestimated me or you were meant to be nothing more than a distraction or a decoy!" She paused and took a deep breath, silently delighting in the shocked look that the Asgardians appeared to be sharing. "And after all of that, once he was ready, I was banished to Hel, I've spent so long in there. I tried every trick I could think of to get out, but I couldn't. And then, when I come back, I find out that Odin had wiped me from history. ME! Erased my very existence, as if I was nothing, as If all I had ever done was a dark history that he wanted to hide. Perhaps he had since then become a great king and ruler, but that doesn't change what he's done any more than it changes what I've done. You all want to accuse me of being a monster, and perhaps I am, but who turned me into one? Who told me what to do and when to do it before aiming me where he wanted?"
"I..." Thor began but trailed off as Frigga gently laid a hand on his arm.
"Let it rest, son," Frigga said, silently shaking her head. "she's right."
"Mother?!" Thor gasped, a shocked look on his face.
"Your father was far from a perfect man," Frigga said, a lone tear dripping from her eye. "he got better, definitely, but he was far from perfect. It was only when he improved that I had agreed to marry him." She turned to Hela, an apologetic look on her face. "I know this might not mean much, if anything, to you, but I apologize to you for what my late husband did."
"And that's a good place to start!" Harry quickly spoke up before Hela could reply. "Now, I..." Whatever Harry was about to say was cut off as Hela suddenly let out a cry of pain before dropping to her knees. "Damn!" Harry quickly kneeled alongside her. "The spell, it won't let you stay on Asgard for much longer."
"Well," Hela grunted and climbed back up to her feet with Harry's help. "it's not like I will be staying here much longer anyway."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Thor asked.
"I'm taking her with me to Earth," Harry answered on Hela's behalf.
"Harry!" Thor gaped at him. "You can't be serious!"
"I'm deadly serious, mate, she's coming with me," Harry responded, he spoke again when he noticed that they were about to protest. "and that's final." His voice was quite firm, making it clear that there would be no more arguing about this particular subject.
"Well, in that case, you can come with me," Loki said with a deep sigh. "I could use the added protection."
"What?" Harry blinked.
"I'm not staying here," Loki admitted, sending an apologetic look to Frigga as he took her hand in his own. "I'm sorry, Mother, but I found a new home, on a new planet. A place that needs a ruler, and...well...I volunteered." He finished with a small shrug. He and Frigga stared at each other for several moments, tears built up in Frigga's eyes before she pulled him into a hug that Loki quickly and gladly returned.
"My boy," She said with a watery smile as she pulled back, "I am so proud of you."
"Thank you, Mother," Loki said in a soft voice before turning to Harry. "I could use some added muscle in case we get attacked on the way, I also believe that we will be passing your planet on the way there."
"Thanks, but no thanks," Harry said, holding out his sling ring. "I've got to get back home as soon as possible, I have two women, one child, and possibly a partridge in a pear tree waiting for me. Besides, it's better if I get Hela off here as soon as possible."
"I second that," Hela quietly agreed, looking extremely uncomfortable.
"Thor, good luck with being a king and all," Harry said to Thor. "Oh, and make sure you come and visit occasionally, my daughter would love you. Oh, and Frigga, you can come as well." Harry raised his hands and used the sling ring to create a portal to Earth. "Bye guys." Harry waved before he gently guided Hela through the portal.
"Sup Fury?" Those very words caused Nick Fury to turn around at lightning speed, pulling a gun out as he did so and aiming it at the voice he had just heard. Fortunately, the fact that he recognized the voice and had the required amount of self-control needed for someone in his position had stopped him from firing. He blinked when he saw a pale woman with dark hair and a ripped-up black outfit standing next to Harry Potter who was giving him a small but very cheeky wave.
"Damn it, Potter!" Fury hissed. "Stop teleporting everywhere! I nearly blew your motherfucking head off!"
"Yeah, it's cute that you think I would have let you." Harry rolled his eyes before continuing. "Anyway, Fury, I need your help with something."
"Of course you do," This time it was Fury who rolled his eyes, he lowered his gun but didn't put it away. "you never visit otherwise."
"I'm sorry if that hurts your feelings, Fury, if you want then we can see up a weekly lunch date? I'd love that," Harry said sarcastically. "or we can go to the movies every month?"
"Just shut up and tell me what you want, and while you're at it, you can tell me who she is. Not in that order." Fury sat down behind his desk and gave Harry an expectant look.
"This woman is Hela," Harry introduced her. "she is the half-sister of Thor and daughter of Odin, she goes by 'The Goddess of Death'." Harry's words caused Fury's eyebrows to rise so high that it looked like they were about to jump off his head, he quickly brought them back under control and stared at Hela who was still looking quite sickly and pained.
"Truly?" He asked, only the smallest amount of doubt in his voice. He knew that his relationship with Harry was not as strong as his relationship with Coulson or Hill, but he still trusted Harry enough to believe what he was saying, even if that very thing was extremely hard to believe. But after spending years dealing with aliens, gods, robots, magical people, and everything in-between, there was very little that he believed to be impossible.
"Truly," Hela spoke up before letting out a violent cough.
"She's had a bad experience with some magic," Harry explained before he took out his phone. "I need you to help me set up a home for her, Fury."
"I beg your pardon?" Fury blinked and looked at Harry like he had suddenly decided to stop speaking English. "You want me to set up a home for the goddess of death?!"
"Yeah, that's pretty much what I said," Harry nodded as he put the phone next to his head as he started calling someone. "give me a sec."
"No! No, I am not giving you a sec! Explain this!" Fury ordered. "Now!"
"I will, but if you'll excuse me for a minute, I need to answer to a much higher authority than you."
"Who?!" Fury demanded to know.
"My wife," Harry answered just before his call was accepted. "hey, hi Honey," Harry said into his phone. "yeah, it's me. Yes, yes, I know, there was just a shit storm of problems that I had to deal with involving Thor and his whole family's inability to not fuck shit up. I swear, his mother is like the only stable one there." Harry paused and looked towards Hela. "No offense."
"You pulled me out of Hel, I'm not going to be upset over what is honestly an understatement." She waved him off before moving to the nearest seat she could find and sitting down.
"I'm sorry, but he pulled you out of hell?" Fury asked, leaning forwards as he stared at her with disbelief.
"Yes," Hela growled. "my father had sent me there. Stupid old man!" Hela began letting out a flowing stream of curses, under her breath, all aimed at her father. Fury stared at her for several minutes before he turned his focus back to Harry who was still talking on his phone.
"Yes, yeah, he actually did that," Harry said, scratching the back of his head as he did so. "yeah, no, she's cool. Yeah, that hurt, but let's be honest, she's not the first-ever woman to stab me."
Fury looked back and forth between the two for several minutes before placing his face in his hands and letting out a small sigh as he rubbed his forehead. All the while, one thought popped into his head and played over and over.
'I am far too old and underpaid for this shit.'
A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. I have some important news regarding the story (no, it's not canceled or on hold). Before I get to that I'd like to apologize for my upload speed on this story, it's rather slow partly because of my own real life that I have to live along, which includes house extensions, work, planned holidays, family problems, and so on. Plus the fact that I am currently writing a few other stories as well.
In my original plan, I had intended to take this story all the way to Endgame but upon thinking about it I realized that there's not much point in doing that, firstly because this Harry could probably kill Thanos within a minute if he actively tried to. I mean, if the killing curse doesn't do the job then fiendfyre would, and if that's not possible then just anything else that the actual army killer could think of. I mean, sure the infinity stones would probably be the game changer but you get my meaning.
Plus, I have to be honest, I no longer feel like taking this story all the way to endgame. Sorry if that disappoints anyone but it is what it is. I'm just not writing this with the same passion as when I started it, which is another reason why my upload speed has decreased. Fellow writers on this website will probably understand, it feels great to start a story but there are times when they can drag. It's why I want to start writing another story. This is why I will, unfortunately, announce that there will only be a few more chapters in this story. I can't say for sure how many there will be, perhaps two or three long chapters or maybe four or five short ones, I'm not sure yet.
But it's not just bad news, I do have some good news. When this story finishes I will be putting up a poll on my pat-reon channel to decide what story I will do next, basically I'll be putting up a few story options and people to get to vote on what I will do. Included in these options would be a Harry Potter/Venom crossover and a story where Harry gets reborn in another universe as Harry Osborn. If anyone is interested in joining and supporting me on pat-reon then my name on the channel is JB21Q.
But if you don't want to then that's fine because you'll still be able to read everything that my patrons read, the only difference being that they get to vote on some stuff and they get it earlier than everyone else.
Thanks, for reading and feel free to level a review, also enjoy the omakes.
Harry arrives with Hela at home and finds Natasha and Sif staring at him with their arms crossed. They stare at each other for several long minutes before Harry breaks the silence.
"Can I keep her?" He asked hopefully.
"Your farm is nice," Harry told Clint as Clint and Clint's wife, Laura, gave him a tour.
"Oh, thanks." Clint smiled. "Oh, here are the goats. That one is called Dax, the other is called Chase, that's Rhino, oh and that's chompy, be careful with her. Oh, and here are the chickens."
"Did you name those as well?" Harry asked in an amused voice.
"Oh, he names them after the Avengers." Laura told them.
"Oh that's nice."
"Yeah, except he eats them whenever you guys make him angry. Our oldest one is Natasha, and last week we got a new Harry."
Harry gaped at her for a minute before looking towards Clint who had just picked up a chicken.
"Hello Tony," Clint grinned as he stared at the kitchen. "let's talk."
"Yeah, listen up, I'm going to need that infinity gauntlet and all of the stones on it," Harry told Thanos, holding his wand up threateningly.
"And why would I give them to you?" Thanos scoffed.
"Because it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow and I need her a present, so give it here."
