Lucy was annoyed,
Mira had called out again meaning she was replacing her for tonight's show.
The guild had taken to playing live music which brought in fans from all parts of Magnolia which ment big money for the guild.
Usually Lucy didnt mind, the outfits since they were sponsored by some designers, where cute and you could keep what you liked so her wardrobe had definetly evolved.
Lucy Heartfillia liked schedules, plans, She did not enjoy being thrown onto stage and told she needed to preform. sighing she looked back to the mirror.
Her hair was much longer after the guild disbanded two years ago, reaching her knees, Cancer had curled her hair into gentle beach waves. Mira had applied some light blue eyeshadow to her eyes, the color matched her knee length pale white dress which had cute little blue flowers on it. she was used to the sweat heart neckline, the long sleeves she was definetly not used too. her keys hung off her brown belt across her hips.
She strapped on a pair of white kitty healed shoes, pausing to look at the infinity sign tattoo on her ankle, at the center was a small flame. She couldnt think of that now. She shook her head and stood up, walking to the door she passed by Erza and Mira who were both giving her a knowing look, she smiled in the hope of seeming less depressing and walked onto the large wood stage.
Natsu was hungry,
He had been training for two years with happy. He had cut his hair to his shoulders after realizing it would only get in his way. a small tattoo of a key was gently covering his heart, throwing on his shirt he gently traced the tattoo.
Natsu missed Lucy, he missed Fairytail. A year prior he had been on his way to challenge the Grand Magic games winner when he had caught wind of Fairytails disbanding, He knew he had to be stronger if he would bring everyone together again.
He was too late, the last few months he had run into some towns people who mentioned FairyTails revival, he felt like happy had smacked natsu and called him an idiot. He missed his little buddy.
That's how he got where he was now, standing outside a much larger guild hall, Freeds runes of protection were written around the entire building.
He took a few more minutes to breathe , he was afraid everything would have changed, he knew he stayed away for too long but he needed to get stronger.
He took one last terrified breath before entering.
Lucy had been singing a set for 10 minutes now and she was excited to see her tip jar filled to the brink with precious rent money.
honestly Lucy loved singing the female empowering songs she helped write. She was in love with this song, it was everything she felt, about life, about love and about Natsu.
As the music slowly came on she started to say her hips, she walked out the stage dancing and having fun with her audience.
Lucy felt free,
She thought back to her year of isolation, she was so alone, she had gotten into music through Jason and her modeling and writing career took off after that. She knew that even with the money she wouldnt be happy so she donated a lot of it to several food projects for the kingdom and spent the rest investing in her plan for the guildhall. She tracked down everyone of her friends and finally got them all to agree to reviving Fairytail. It took them a long time to track down Master Makarov but once they did they forced the old geezer to realize what a big mistake he made and they banned him from drinking for a solid month as a punishment.
Lucy felt her eyes search across the guild hall, everyone was back to normal except for one thing.
Natsu and Happy where still missing.
Natsu was startled, the inside of the guildhall was far more spacious than any other. Alot of the people walking around weren't even apart of the guild. He was confused until a familiar head of blonde hair popped on the stage.
She was beautiful, and Dear Mavis he had missed her.
He was waiting for her to start cheering like she did for the Miss Fairytail contest or maybe be calling onto the stage someone, but she didnt.
The music started and he swore not a second late her hips joined in. If that wasnt enough torture, her pretty pink glosses lips opened and he was blown away.
The song was about Love, he could tell she wrote it when the part about stars came up.
He watched her eyes sweep over the crowd and he waited.
as if fate had decided the next lyrics started when their eyes met.
"Bring me a higher love"
Her eyes met his,
Stars she missed those green eyes.
They were just as intense as she remembered.
Lucy took a breath as she continued the song. She was still angry after all, she wasnt going to drop her rent money and money for the guild just because some idiot walks in after two years.
She was hurt, he left her with a note and an equally hurt Happy. The two had grown closer after a year of crying and eating their feelings together.
Happy had learned how to transform into a human form from Carla and the two were sitting in the front. The two had started courting half a year ago and the little blue exceed was beyond thrilled.
Everyone had moved on...
Lisanna had started to date Laxus, much to the surprise of the entire guild. Master Macarov had about had a heart attack while Mira turned into one of her most powerful forms and threatened that she would do worse things than kill him if he hurt her sister.
Mira herself had been dating someone in secret but Lucy and the rest of the guild could tell it was Bixslow. The two weren't very good at hiding their relationship.
Elfman and Evergreen had been engaged for a few months now and would be getting married in the coming Spring. Evergreen had forced most of the girls of fairytail and Freed to agree to wearing fairy wings as her bridesmaids and Freed her maid of honor.
Juvia had moved in with gray, although the ice wizard still insisted there was nothing between the two.
Levy and Gajeel had gotten married the winter before and Levy was currently expecting. Lucy was extremely excited to be an aunt and Godmother and had taken up knitting to make the baby a blanket.
Wendy had started going out with Sherria from Lamia Scale and the two were absolutely adorable. Carla was very over protective of wendy and would severely hurt anyone who said anything negative about Wendy ke her girlfriend.
Cana and Gildarts had gotten closer, and the over protective father would never admit Cana was dating.
Erza and Jellal were currently in a long distance relationship and The blonde would often see The scarlet haired women blushing at the letters he sent.
everyone was happy.
Everyone but lonely Lucy Heartfilia
After the show she had earned enough for the next 3 months of rent and she put away some into her savings for when she could go out and build her own property one day.
she sighed as she heard heavy footsteps walk towards her.
" Natsu, long time no see" she faced him with a slightly bitter smile, she was happy he was back but that didnt mean everything was ok.
He seemed to understand that because the first thing he did was grimace and apoligize.
" I'm so sorry Luce... I never should have left you and happy like that. I was hurt when Igneel died, it was like that last piece of hope had been ripped from my heart..." Natsu gripped spot above his heart, the loose black fabric tighten in his grip before her let go.
Lucy had never seen him cry like this. Not since that battle.
She wrapped her arms around him and in turn her wrapped his around her. He had grown, she mused to herself as he buried his face in the crook of her neck.
" I'm just so sorry Luce" he sobbed out.
He was like a heartbroken child, Lucy realized, he left to save himself from that overwhelming sense of loss and despair and he realized he couldnt alone, that isolation wasnt what he needed to seek.
Lucy swore in her head,
She knew she couldnt be mad at him for that... she did the same thing after what happened to Aquariuses key.
So she forgave him.
The wedding was beautiful,
Even if Lucy was forced into a pair of crystal wings by the bride.
She walked down with one of the groomsmen, Her beloved boyfriend. He kept picking at his green tie the entire wedding and had leaned over to her to tell her that when they got married he wouldnt wear a tie.
Needless to say she ended up blushing throughout the rest if the night.
Among the stars and the fairy lights the party had quieted down.
Natsu and Lucy had found themselves a quiet place on the grass to watch the stars.
Lucy was explaining to Natsu where the constellations were and even if he wouldnt remember them all he promised himself he would remember her tonight. She looked beautiful with her long hair down, Like an angel that fell from the Stary heavens she loved so much.
Now, he really didnt mean to say it like this, they had only been dating for over half a year and he didnt want to freak her out. He had planned on it being extremely romantic like one of her stupid books that made him look bad but honestly, she looked to pretty and he got carried away and it just slipped out.
" Will you marry me?"
She was quiet and he started having a panic attack, he really messed up... what if he messed every-
" Yes"
Natsu felt his jaw dropped as she smiled at him holding out her hand to him.
He felt himself breaking into a grin, He pulled out the small box he had been carrying around with him, the small band was as silver as the starlight and the small crescent shaped rock sparkled as brightly as the moon itself.
" That's my girl"
Lucy broke out giggling and kissed him softly
" That's my Dragon"
