A/N: Happy late birthday, Percy!
Annabeth P.O.V.
Annabeth shut the door, failing to hide her yawn. Izzie and James had just left. Annabeth was exhausted, but happy. Ultimately, the evening had been a success. The last of their friends had started to head out around midnight. Now it was about 10 minutes after midnight.
Annabeth let out another yawn as she blearily made her way towards the sitting room. She was met with the sight of an exhausted Percy, sprawled out on the floor. She looked down at him, resisting the urge to sigh. "Do I even want to know how this happened?"
Percy, never too tired for sass, smirked, "I don't know, do you?"
Annabeth half-heartedly kicked his arm. "Get up. We should start cleaning up."
"Please, Annabeth? Can't we clean this up in the morning?"
Deciding to give him a taste of his own medicine, Annabeth smirked, "It is morning, Percy."
Percy pouted, "Are you saying you actually want to clean up?".
Annabeth opened her mouth to object, but Percy interrupted her. "Please,Annabeth?" Now the puppy-dog-eyes were on in full force.
Annabeth was usually able to hold her ground against the infamous puppy-dog-eyes. But the truth was, she didn't want to clean up. How was she supposed to say to no Percy when he was looking at her like that?
Cursing her lack of responsibility and her stupid boyfriend, Annabeth let out a conceding sigh.
Grinning victoriously, Percy sat up. Annabeth was expecting him to get up, so they could go to their bedroom.
Taking her by surprise, Percy wrapped his arm around Annabeth's waist, pulling her on top of him.
Annabeth let out a little shriek. " Percy! What the hell?!" Percy just grinned mischievously, wrapping both of his arms around her. Annabeth half-heartedly protested, but the truth was, she really didn't care where they slept as long as they slept.
Percy tucked her into his chest and buried his nose in her hair. Annabeth, who had been about ready to pass out earlier, wasted no time in falling asleep. Enveloped in the scent of her boyfriend, Annabeth drifted off in a matter of minutes.
One Miraculously Dreamless Nap Later...
Annabeth was pulled out of her peaceful sleep by the ringing of her phone. Annabeth blinked the sleep out of her eyes, looking for her phone. In a couple of seconds, Annabeth located it. She answered the call, trying not to sound too sleepy. She was met with Rachel's voice:
Hey, Annabeth!
"Hey. What do you want?"
Wait, did I wake you up?
"Maybe…"
It's like noon already!
"It's 11:15, Rachel"
Whatever
"I can hear you rolling your eyes."
Anyways, I have the perfect idea!
"Is it for what I think it is?"
If you're thinking of this weekend, then yes.
"That's great, Rachel!"
I know, I'm amazing.
"Yeah, yeah. But can we discuss this later? We had a late night, and now we have to clean up."
And why wasn't I invited to this "late night"?
"That's a good question, O Holy Oracle. It's not like you're across the country or something…"
Shut up, Chase. We can IM later.
"Sounds good. Bye."
Annabeth hung up and put her phone on the floor next to her. She sat up, stretching her slightly sore back. Sleeping on the floor probably wasn't the smartest idea. Next to her, Percy groaned, rolling over. "How is it time to wake up already?"
Annabeth sighed. "It's 11:17, Seaweed Brain."
He yawned and tried to pull her back on top of him. Annabeth batted his hands away. "None of that! We have to clean up, now."
Percy flipped over to face her. "I would rather kill the Minotaur again!"
Annabeth sighed. "I know, but let's just get this done. Whining won't do anything."
Percy sat up, looking around the room in dismay. There were empty refreshment glasses everywhere, and even some water spills on the floor. Percy snapped his fingers and dried up the water. Unfortunately, there was still a lot more to clean.
Annabeth turned to Percy. "Why don't you start on the dishes, and I'll start in here?"
Percy saluted, and headed towards the kitchen. Annabeth sighed, and started picking up the empty cups.
She finished fairly efficiently, and she went into the kitchen to help Percy out. He was just finishing up the last couple of dishes.
The dishes were almost washing themselves. It was a sight to behold. Percy would squirt soap on different plates, then he would line all of the soaped plates up on the counter. The stream of water coming from the faucet would go from plate to plate, washing off the soap. To be honest, Annabeth was a little impressed.
Once Percy finished the dishes, he helped her wipe off the countertops and sweep the floors.
One Hour of Painful Cleaning Later...
"That wasn't too bad."
Percy frowned, "It took us like an hour!"
"It could've been worse…"
Percy's lips twitched upwards. "True."
They plopped onto the couch in the living room. Annabeth put her head in Percy's lap as Percy scrolled through Netflix.
"What do you wanna watch?"
"Whatever you want. I always end up choosing."
Percy grinned, choosing one of the shows. Annabeth sighed contentedly as she felt Percy twirling her hair around his fingers.
"I love you."
"I love you too. And Percy?"
"Yeah?"
"You still drool in your sleep!" She gestured to a small puddle of drool on the carpet right where they had slept.
"Hey!"
Annabeth smiled, thinking to herself, some things never change.
A/N: So, I actually have a fanfic recommendation. You see, I usually hate Modern AUs. But this one? This is PERFECTION. It's Percabeth, and it's adorable. I HIGHLY recommend it! :)
