You Did It
He did it. He actually did it. Shinsou felt like he could scream his pure, utter happiness to the world. He had made it into the hero course after getting a surprise exam during a joint training session between the two hero course classes. Their quirks were amazing and Shinsou somehow managed to keep up with them. He would never know how he managed to do that.
He had to make one stop before he went home and told the news to his parents. The one person who believed in him more than anyone else on the planet.
His sensei, Shouta Aizawa.
Shinsou practically bounced on his feet as he started for the location that him and Aizawa usually do their training sessions. He had a gut feeling that Aizawa would be there. When he had arrived, he had been right. Aizawa was there, already prepping for his normal workout.
"Sensei?" Shinsou said, catching his mentor's attention.
Aizawa turned his head and straightened up. A smile came to his face as Shinsou walked up to him. Tears came to Shinsou's eyes and he had found himself for a loss of words. The Erasure hero didn't say anything as he took a step forward and wrapped his arms around the purple haired boy. "You did it, Shinsou. You are in the hero course." Aizawa muttered, his hand on the back of Shinsou's head as the boy started to cry into his shoulder. "I am so proud of you."
Shinsou sniffled as he pulled back, using the sleeves of his jacket to wipe off the tears. "I wouldn't of made it if it wasn't for you. Thank you." The teenager muttered.
Aizawa shook his head. "I only guided you. This was all you." The man replied. "Shinsou, that was not me out there. You put all the work in, you believed in yourself. You will be a hero."
Shinsou felt his face break out into a grin. "I can't believe I actually did that good."
"I knew you would. Now, get out of here and go celebrate with your parents and tell them the news." Aizawa stated.
Shinsou nodded. "Thank you, sensei." He said a quick goodbye to his teacher and started off towards the entrance. His parents were going to be so happy. He had never seen that big of a smile on Aizawa's face. He had done his mentor proud and that meant the world to him.
Aizawa never stopped believing in him. He never stopped believing in himself. He was going to be a hero.
