Goku was wiping down the counter when he heard the front door's bell ring. He looked up and grinned when he recognized who it was.
Chi Chi looked around at all of the awards on the walls of the lobby. "This is amazing…"
"Hey Chi Chi!" Goku waved. "Welcome to my grandpa's dojo!"
Chi Chi smiled and approached the counter. "This is so cool! I didn't know this place was a dojo! Do you help train people here?"
"Yeah, I train the kids' classes. I just got done with my last class right before you got here, so all I have to do now is close up. Do you want the tour while I check on things?" Goku offered.
Chi Chi nodded enthusiastically. Goku showed her around the dojo as he cleaned things up and put them back. He noticed that Chi Chi helped clean off counters.
"Oh, you don't have to do that, really!" he insisted. "After all, it's my job…"
"Well, I figured it was something I could do to help. You're taking time to show me around. Do you work alone all the time?"
Goku paused, hesitating. He didn't know how much he should share. "Well…lately, yeah. My grandpa's health has been failing, so I do pretty much everything here now so he doesn't have to worry about it."
"Oh…" Chi Chi didn't know how to respond to that. Would anyone really know? "Maybe I can help out when I get done with my classes."
Goku's head jerked up so he could see Chi Chi. "Really? You'd spend your time here just to help out?"
"Why not?" she countered. "It will be great for me to get to know the people around here, and you seem like you need a break. Let me help out."
Goku slowly grinned, then hugged Chi Chi tightly. "Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Holy shit, your muscles are huge," Chi Chi muttered under her breath.
"I said, it's not a problem at all."
