I got an idea from the story The Founder's Blood by Nesley. The story's amazing and highly recommend reading it! Anyway, I got this after reading it. I have changed a little bit about the Harry Potter series, but you'll just have to read to find out!
Harry and his little sister, Sirena Potter live with their Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and cousin Dudley. Until one day they decide to leave. When the two siblings run away; they meet two strangers. Two men, that could help them or hurt them?

I woke with a start. Next to me on the small mattress is my older brother, Harry. Almost every night, I have the same nightmare. Dad, yelling for our mum to take us and run, our mum sacrificing herself for our safety, our lives. I looked around the cupboard that Harry and I shared. There was a small mattress on the floor, which I'm currently half-on half-off. Green toy army soldiers that Harry stole from our cousin, Dudley, it's not like he'll miss them though, broken crayons, and a couple of spiders in the corner. Ew, I hate spiders! This house has four bedrooms; Vernon and Petunia's, a guest room for when Aunt Marge visits, urgh, Dudley's bedroom, and finally a room for all of Dudley's broken toys. Yeah, you heard me. DUDLEY HAS A ROOM FOR HIS BROKEN TOYS!

Anyway, I finally convinced Harry that we needed to get out two weeks ago, we've been planning ever since. Today was August 19th, 1988; we're going to leave today. No one else will come to help us, so we help ourselves. We can't survive like this; we won't. Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia despise Harry, but only Petunia likes me for some reason. But she's only amiable to me when Vernon's not around. Uncle Vernon used to beat up Harry and me, but Petunia quickly stopped him. Now he only slaps us when he's angry and when he is, he looks like a purple walrus. They encourage Dudley to chase and beat us up. We've been practicing this thing we have, well mostly Harry, but he's been helping me. It's exhausting. Harry figured out that it only works with intense emotions like fear and anger. It's like magic! Vernon and Petunia don't like it when we do it, so we do it in secret. Anyways, we've been practicing for almost a year now, but we both know how to make a ball of light and lock and unlock the cupboard door, even though it's more exhausting for me.

Since I'm closest to the door, I listened for any signs if our relatives were awake or not. Nothing. Perfect! Since I couldn't see any slivers of light through the tiny gap between the floor and the door, I focused on my fear to unlock the door. Everything I'm afraid of in this house. Vernon hitting us when he's furious, Dudley and his gang chasing after us to beat us up, getting yelled at for nothing, being constantly punished with starvation. I felt a warmth in my chest. I focused the warm feeling to flow through my arms, into my hands and imagined the cupboard door unlocking.

I opened my eyes and pushed the door open a smidge. Yes, I did it! I did a happy dance inside but quickly pushed the pride down; we don't have time to celebrate. I quietly crawled out of the cupboard and walked into the living room towards the clock. It was 3:47 A.M. Vernon and Petunia don't get up till 6 A.M. So, we have a little over two hours to get what we need and get out of here. I quickly and quietly ran back to the cupboard and stuck my head inside.

"Harry. Harry. Harry!" I whispered, shaking him. Harry finally stirred awake. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, then grabbed his poorly taped glasses from the shelf above him, shoving them on his face.

"Is it time?" He asked. I nodded, smiling. He smiled back and grabbed our backpacks, handing me mine. I moved out of the way so Harry could get out and stuck my head back in, looking to see if there was anything to keep. Almost everything in here we had to steal. The only thing we didn't snatch was the mattress, thanks Petunia, note my sarcasm. The only thing we should bring is our clothes but we had already put them in our bags last night. Petunia always told us not to go into the attic. Well, we're leaving, so might as well. I quietly walked up the stairs, careful not to make any noise. I opened the attic door and closed it behind me and walked up more stairs. I flicked the light on and saw boxes. Christmas decorations, Dudley's baby clothes, Lily's things, Vernon and Petunia's Wedding- wait, what! Lily? Who's Lily? I walked towards the box, putting my bag on the floor beside me, I opened the box. Whatever I expected, it wasn't this. There were books. I picked up the first one I could see. On the front, it said Lily's School Years. I opened it and saw pictures. And they moved! It's a photo album. On the bottom of each photograph, it said who was in it, where it was, and the date. There was a little girl in the picture older than us, sitting on a bench, next to her were a boy with pale skin, black greasy hair, and dark eyes. Below it read; Lily Evans and Severus Snape on the Hogwarts Express, September 1st, 1971. Lily looks almost exactly like me; we could've been sisters. She must've been our mum. We shared the same red hair and all three of us shared the emerald green eyes. I closed the book and put it in my backpack.

I grabbed another album this one smaller, on the front of it said James and Lily's Wedding. I opened it and saw a tall man knelt in front of an older version of mum. The man had a ring in his hand and looked like Harry. That must be our dad! I guess Harry inherited dad's messy black hair. I looked at the bottom and read; James Potter proposes to Lily Evans, Godric's Hollow, September 7th, 1979. I closed the album as well and put it in my backpack. I then grabbed the rest of the books in the box and put them in my bag, I'd look at them later. I saw another box out of the corner of my eye. It read; Harry's and Sirena's things. I slid the taped box in front of me and opened it. Inside were two blankets, one a light pink and another a light blue. I grabbed them and put them next to me. There was also a letter to Petunia, might as well take that, and lastly three stuffed animals. A stag, a black dog, and a white fox. I grabbed them and put them in my bag. I zipped up my backpack and grabbed the two blankets and looked around one last time before turning off the light, leaving the room, and walking back downstairs towards the kitchen.

"Where have you been, it's already 4:50, we have to go! We can't get caught!" Harry whisper shouted.

"Sorry, I got distracted. But here." I handed Harry the blue blanket, "I found it in the attic with a lot of other things. I'll tell you later." I whispered back.

"Alright, let's go. Sun will be up soon." He whispered again before we both walked towards the door. Harry unlocked the front door and opened it, letting me out first, then closing it behind him. We then began walking out of Privet Drive to who knows where.

"Harry? Where are we going to go?" I asked in a small voice, looking up at my brother beside me.

"I don't know, but we'll find somewhere to stay. Let's just keep walking." Harry answered. He took my hand and squeezed, "Don't worry. We'll be okay. As long as we don't go back, we'll be fine. We have each other."

"Okay, thanks, Harry," I answered and looked ahead.

We've been walking for over an hour when I heard something behind us. I looked behind my shoulder but didn't see anything. I looked up at Harry and saw he was looking in the same direction as I was.

"You heard that too?" I asked him. Harry nodded and gripped my hand tighter. The sun was already rising; no one would kidnap us in broad daylight, right? Right?

"Come on, let's keep moving. Maybe we can get somewhere public." Harry said. That scared me even more. What if someone really will hurt us? "Why don't you show me those pictures you found."

"Okay," I said, brightening up a bit. I took my bag off my shoulders, unzipped it, and took out the big photo album that said Lily's School Years. I gave it to Harry so I could zip my bag back up and slipped it back on my shoulders. Harry then handed me the photo album back to me. I opened it and showed Harry the first picture. It was a big castle.

"Look, Harry! The pictures moved, it's so cool! That's the school mum and dad went to; it's called Hogwarts. Do you think we'll go there too? Mum and dad did." I asked him.

"I don't know, maybe," Harry answered. Soon we found a playground and decided to stay there until nightfall. We ate a bit of food that Harry brought and continued looking through the album. There were a lot of pictures; it seemed endless. We later decided to take turns sleeping so we wouldn't be tired tonight.

It was getting dark again. We'd already eaten our dinner and were already on the move once more. We were talking about the pictures we saw in mum's photo album when we heard someone walking behind us. Harry stopped and turned around and moved to stand protectively in front of me. In front of us were two men. They were both tall but looked very different. The man on the left was taller by a few inches and looked like he worked out a lot. He had tan skin, short, wavy, red hair, and matching beard, and green eyes. He wore a short-sleeved dark red Henley t-shirt, light blue jeans, and black trainers. The man on the right was slightly tan but much paler than the man on the left. He also wasn't as muscular either. He had short black hair and blue eyes and wore a short-sleeved green Henley t-shirt, blue jeans, and black trainers.

"Hello, what are you two doing out here so late?" The man in green asked. It was silent for a moment before Harry answered, "We're just on a late-night walk."

"Really? Well, it's just after midnight. Where are your parents; I bet they're worried about you?" The man in red asked this time.

"They're dead," I said quietly.

"What about your relatives? I bet they're worried." The man in red asked again. They're going to take us back to them! I don't want to back! I quickly stepped back, trying to pull Harry with me. The man in green saw this and put his hands up as if surrendering.

"Hey, it's okay. We're aren't going to hurt you. We can just talk. What are your names?" He asked. I stopped moving in fear of what would happen. Taking control of the situation and asked, "I'm Harry, this is my sister, Sirena. Who are you?"

"My name is Salazar, and this is my friend Godric," introduced the man now known as Salazar introduced.

"How old are you two?" Godric asked.

"I'm seven, Harry's eight," I answered. I then asked the question I'm afraid of, "Are you going to make us go back?"

"Go back to where? Your relatives?" Salazar asked I nodded fearfully. "No, we won't. Why did you run away?"

"They're mean, they don't like us doing magic," I answered but quickly covered my mouth with my hand. No one's supposed to know about magic, Vernon and Petunia say that's it freakish. Both Godric and Salazar have small smiles on their faces.

"You can do magic?" Godric asked, "It's okay we won't tell anybody, we can do magic too."

"Really?" Harry and I asked simultaneously. Godric took out a stick from his pocket and flicked it. Suddenly a bright white light illuminated from the intricately-designed stick.

"Woah," I whispered.

"This is a wand. You get one when you turn eleven, so you can practice magic better. It tires you out pretty quickly without one." Godric explained, "So mind telling us why you ran away, besides them being mean? Couldn't you have told someone?"

"We tried, but every time we do, they make promises that they'd help us, and then the next thing you know, they give up on you. They forget about us and leave. Everyone does. So, we lost hope and ran," Harry explained. The two men looked at each other, then back at us, back at each other.

"Could this be magical? I mean, a lot of muggles don't give up that easy, especially with children nowadays?" Godric asked Salazar, who nodded.

"I think so. Muggles within the government doesn't forget easily. Possibly a memory charm." Salazar answered. He then turned towards us and asked, "Can you tell us where you live, someone might be interfering. "Harry and I looked at each other. Maybe they can help. We have no one else, what do we have to lose? It looked like Harry was thinking the same thing. We both nodded and turned back towards the two men.

"We'll take you back there. But Harry and I WILL NOT stay there, no matter what you say. Deal?" I said, extending my hand towards the two men. The two looked amused and concerned at the same time. Weird, that never happened before. Salazar then took my hand and shook it, finalizing the deal.

"We used to live at #4 Privet Drive," Harry answered.

"Alright, to get there quickly, we're going to apparate. It's what muggles call teleporting. Although you may feel sick the first few times, you'll get used to it." Godric explained and took Harry's hand while Salazar took mine. Suddenly, I felt like I was getting forced through a very tight rubber tube. As suddenly as it started, it was over. I nearly threw up, but thankfully I didn't eat much for dinner.

"That was extremely uncomfortable." I told no one, in particular, Salazar chuckled and answered, "Don't worry, you'll get used to it. Come along," I walked beside Salazar with Harry and Godric behind us, suddenly we stopped. I looked up at Salazar, who looked at the house.

"Godric, do you see the wards as well?"

"Yes, I do. What kinds are these, and why are they here?"

"I don't know, but I'm going to find out." Salazar then took out his wand and was muttering something under his breath. After a few minutes, he lowered his wand and turned towards the three of us. "There is a blood ward, it keeps you safe from those who want to do you harm, and a surveillance ward, I'm guessing to make sure neither of you is taken."

"Not from the inside," I muttered.

"Unfortunately, not." Salazar sighed, "But I'm also not leaving you both somewhere that could put you in danger. We'll take you with us." Harry grabs my hand and pulls me away until we're a few feet away from Godric and Salazar.

"Should we trust them? I mean, what if they're murderers or kidnappers or something?!" Harry whisper shouted to me.

"Maybe or maybe they're just good people who want to do the right thing?"

"That sounded like a question. You're not sure yourself!"

"Twenty questions?"

"How do we know they'll tell the truth?!"

"I don't know! Maybe there's a spell or something that'll make them tell the truth?!" I sighed, "Harry, we have three choices here. One, we trust them. Two, we don't trust them and possibly get kidnapped by someone else, and three, we go back to live with Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia and die for sure. I think we should trust them but I won't if you don't. We're in this together, like you said, all we have is each other."

We're both quiet for a moment. Harry had to grow up faster so he could protect me from Uncle Vernon, Aunt Petunia, and Dudley, but we would always stand together. Harry closed his eyes for a moment then looked back at Salazar and Godric then to me. Harry nodded.

"They're giving us a way out; this looks like our only chance to have a somewhat normal life, even if we lost most of our childhoods." I smiled and hugged my brother. If they want to take us in then that must mean we'll get a real family. We separated from our hug and turned towards the two men talking to each other.

"Okay. We decided we'll go with you." I answered. Godric and Salazar both smiled then reached their hands towards us.

"We're going to apparate to our home," Godric answered as he grabbed my hand while Salazar grabbed Harry's.

The next thing I knew was that we were now standing outside a white two-story manor. The gate before us was locked and had a large menacing looking gargoyle on either side. I shifted slightly behind Godric as the gargoyles' eyes penetrated mine as if looking straight into my soul. I knew from a book at the library in Surrey that gargoyles were often thought to ward off evil.

"Don't worry about them; they help protect our estate. They're probably searching for any reason not to allow you in." Godric answered.

Surely, after the words left his mouth, the gates unlocked, and the gargoyles looked onwards and proceeded to guard Godric's and Salazar's estate as they were previously. Harry and I then followed Salazar and Godric through the gates. As we walked through the front yard, Harry and I saw two fountains, one on each side of the yard. Surrounding the fountains were several flowers, from roses, lilies, hydrangea, etc. to flowers I've never even seen or heard of, and they moved!

All too soon, we arrived at the front doors and into the manor. Once inside, Godric and Salazar led us into a room on our left. The room looked lively and warm. Two deep blue couches with ivory pillows were facing each other, in between the sofas was a dark brown wooden coffee table. Two deep blue chairs with ivory cushions sat beside the two couches. The walls were colored a warm grey, and on the light wood floor was a fluffy white area rug that lay under the coffee table. There was a big bookshelf against one of the walls and an unlit fireplace against another. I heard footsteps coming towards us and panicked before I remembered they weren't the Dursley's. We ran away; we're safe. ' For now, ' a voice in my mind said. I hadn't noticed Godric and Salazar had left.

"Harry, Sirena, this is Rowena and Helga. Ro, Hel, this is Harry and Sirena Potter. Godric and I found them just outside Little Whinging, Surrey. They'll be staying with us." Salazar explained. The two women looked young. The woman on the left was taller by a few inches and had long black hair, brown eyes, and had pale skin. She wore a blue blouse, black jeans, and brown wedges. The woman next to her had long braided blonde hair, blue eyes, and light skin. She wore a yellow knee-length dress and grey heels.

"Hello, dears." Helga greeted.

"Hello, little ones. How old are you two?" Rowena asked

"Hello, I'm eight and Sirena's seven," Harry answered, stepping in front of me slightly.

"How about we sit and talk about why you two were out and about so late at night?" Helga asked to which Harry and I nodded. Harry and I took one couch, while Godric and Salazar took the chairs, and Helga and Rowena took the sofa across from us. "Since we know your names, we should tell you our names. I'm Helga Hufflepuff; this is Rowena Ravenclaw, that's my husband Salazar Slytherin, and Ro's husband, Godric Gryffindor."

'Gryffindor? Ravenclaw? Hufflepuff and Slytherin? Those names sound familiar. Where did I hear it before?' I thought, 'The photo albums!' Just to make sure I was right; I took out my mother's photo album from her years at Hogwarts. I opened it and looked at the first page. The fourth picture had shown our mother and another girl smiling and laughing at the camera. They were wearing the same uniform except my mother's was red and gold and had a lion badge, the other girl's attire was blue and bronze and had a crest of some kind of bird- an eagle, I think. Below the picture, it read; Lily Evans in Gryffindor House and Celina Claire in Ravenclaw House, September 2nd, 1971. 'That's Gryffindor and Ravenclaw. But what about Hufflepuff and Slytherin?' I flipped a couple and saw the picture I was looking for; it showed a pitch- but people were flying on brooms! Students and professors were sitting in the stands, cheering. Below it read; Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff quidditch match, November 6th, 1971. I looked up from the album and saw everyone looking at me. I looked down at the book and back at them.

"Are you related to the founders of Hogwarts?" I asked curiously. Rowena and Salazar grinned, Helga smiled, and Godric laughed.

"No, we are the founders. How did you find out about Hogwarts?" Rowena questioned.

"My mother's photo album, I found it in our aunt's attic. How is it possible? Is it magic?" I asked back.

"A few years after Hogwarts was built, we got word that a small village was being attacked by mundanes, while we were looking for more magical students. Since we were nearby, we helped fight them off and protect them. Unfortunately, by the time we got there, half the village people had already been slaughtered. After all the mundanes had perished, a man who turned out to be a powerful wizard thanked us for helping him and his children by blessing us with immortality. Now you must never tell anyone what we've told you," Godric explained to us.

"I promise," Harry and I said simultaneously.

"Now that you know our big secret, why did you run away from home?" Helga worried. Harry sighed and repeated to the women what we had told the men earlier that night.

"Well, how about we get you two showered and into bed," Helga said and led us upstairs. "Now, Harry, you can take this bedroom, and Sirena, you can take this one. There are bathrooms in each room."

I nodded and walked into the room across from Harry's. The room was a pale blue with light wooden floors, a large blush pink bed with a nightstand on each side, and two large windows. A dresser was across the bed, next to it was a door I suspected led to the bathroom that Helga was talking about; next to me was a desk, a chair, and beside them a bookshelf. I put my bag on the desk chair and took out a pair of shorts, a t-shirt, and underwear, along with other bathroom essentials, and went into the bathroom. I placed my clothes on the bathroom counter and started the shower while I undressed. I then hesitantly stepped into the shower and sighed in content. The Dursley's never allowed us showers, only baths, which were always cold. I then started to scrub myself with a bar of floral-scented body soap and cleaned my hair with the same floral-scented shampoo and conditioner.

Once I clean, I changed into the clothes I left on the counter and brushed my long, wavy red hair. ' So glad I don't have the Potter hair like Harry, that'd be a nightmare. ' I thought as I finished brushing my hair and continued to brush my teeth. After that was complete, I exited the bathroom; crawled onto the bed, falling asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.

I want to know if you want me to continue with this. I got an idea from this really good fanfic and I love Harry Potter founders fanfics and I know there aren't many, so I started my own. Let me know if you want me to continue.
