Chapter 47 – League of Villains Raid
In Kamino Ward, night had fallen just an hour or so ago. Salarymen were enjoying time after work at local bars before heading home (some having a bit too much and relying on their coworkers to help them stumble along), young adults were out on the town for the night with friends; it was a perfectly normal evening.
"Is everyone in position?" Nezu asked Mandalay, who stood beside him.
"Just one more minute." Mandalay replied after seemingly listening to nothing.
-Abandoned Factory ~ Edge of Kamino Ward-
"Rules set." Zone activated his Quirk, though the only sign of it was a very faint glow around his body. "Domain Expansion." The faint glow spread from his body and faded out of sight as it became too dim for the human eye to notice. A moment later and -unseen to the eyes of anyone- the sphere that represented Zone's Domain Rule Quirk was encompassing an area six-hundred meters in diameter and wouldn't move unless Zone allowed it to. "The domain is set and the evacuation area has been cleared."
The perimeter of this section of Kamino Ward was rapidly encircled by police officers in full riot gear. All roads and alleyways were blocked off quickly as police lights turned on and police cars moved into intersections to redirect traffic. The people that had been within the evacuation zone were quickly and safely ushered out by the police and the perimeter was secured.
Dozens of Pro Heroes were also forming a perimeter directly around the old factory and ready to act in seconds.
Among the Heroes, Mandalay waited for the order to begin the operation.
-Jaku Hospital-
At the same time that the factory was being surrounded, and unnoticed by everyone within the hospital, police and Pro Heroes had set up a lockdown leading to the hospital. Every road and street was closed, guarded by fully armed and armored police officers. All traffic was redirected away from the hospital and other nearby hospitals and clinics were given the call from the Chief of Police to prepare for any emergencies within the area that was normally covered by Jaku Hospital.
"I can begin at any time." Law said to Mandalay as he held up his left hand, palm up, and fingers lightly curled as if he was grasping something large. A small, translucent blue sphere appeared above his palm with an odd noise and expanded to the size of a softball faster than most people could blink.
"Just waiting on confirmation." Mandalay replied, as she waited for the order to begin.
Mirko, standing close by, had a wild grin on her face. "Let's get the civilians evacuated and start beating these villains down!" The Rabbit Hero was fired up, knowing that this place most likely contained Nomu hidden somewhere on the premises.
-Kamino Ward ~ Bar: Sakegiri-
"So, what's the plan now? Do you even have one?!" Twice asked, first in a curious tone, and then in a harsh and criticizing one.
Shigaraki looked at Twice with annoyance. "If some people hadn't failed their first mission, then we'd still be working on the original plan." He pointed out, currently controlling his anger at the loss of the majority of the Vanguard Action Squad.
Dabi, staying silent, looked between Twice and Shigaraki, before his eyes looked over to Kurogiri who was behind the bar. It didn't show on his face at all, but the young man was thinking of whether or not to stay and if he could slip away should he decide to drop the League. 'Though with only four people, it's not much of a League, is it?' Dabi thought to himself with a silent scoff.
Outside the bar, police in full riot gear were stationed with a group of Pro Heroes, including All Might himself. Among the group were several big names: Kamui Woods, Edgeshot, and even Endeavor.
"Has the evacuation been completed?" Tsukauchi asked into his radio.
With a crackle, the voice of Tsukauchi's partner, Sansa, was heard. "All clear! We can proceed at any time!"
Tsukauchi looked at Mandalay seriously. "We're ready to begin the operation."
Mandalay nodded and used her Quirk to relay the information. 'We're ready to commence the operation at the first location!'
At the back of the perimeter, Nezu, along with Izuku, watched over the gathered police and the small crowd of people that was slowly growing as more and more people wondered what was going on. "Are you ready, Synthesis?" Nezu asked Izuku.
"Yes, sir." Izuku activated a collection of Quirks and compiled them together. 'Warp Gate, Search, Mental Boost, Enhance Function, Amplification, Efficiency.' With his compiled Quirks activated and working in sync, Izuku's awareness vastly expanded. He could feel the various people in the 'active targets' of Search and was getting more detailed information on their current physical state. With his Mental Boost, parsing through that information was much easier and Izuku basically shunted aside everything that didn't have to do with Twice and Dabi. "Targets have resting heart rates, neither appear to be in a heightened state of readiness." Izuku said to Nezu.
Nezu nodded once. "Excellent. Thank you, Synthesis." With confirmation that neither Dabi nor Twice were aware of anything going on, it made for an ideal time to begin the operation. "Begin." The hyper-intelligent animal said.
Mandalay quickly used Telepath to contact the clones that Izuku had made of her to go to each location. It was proof of concept that Mandalay's Quirk would make an excellent pair with Double. Nezu, upon hearing about the idea, had quickly factored it into his plans for the simultaneous raid on all three locations. It was a non-technological method of instant communication that a Technopath Quirk couldn't interfere with. Needless to say, but the Wild, Wild Pussy Cats would definitely be offering Izuku internships and work studies over his years at U.A. in hopes of tempting him to partner up with them often. 'Begin the operation!'
-Jaku Hospital-
"Begin the operation!" Mandalay announced loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Room!" Law wasted no time, the softball-sized sphere in his hand rapidly expanding faster than the eye could see until it had surrounded the entire hospital and everything within a kilometer in diameter. "Shambles!"
-Abandoned Factory-
"Begin the operation!" Mandalay called out to the gathered Heroes and policemen.
"Hup!" Mt. Lady, currently in her giant form, raised her right leg straight up, a small truck on her giant foot like a shoe, before she brought her leg down in a perfect axe kick.
BOOM
The truck-clad foot smashed straight through the old building, creating a huge gust of wind from the force. The concrete and steel crumbled under the attack and left the front of the building a gaping hole.
The Pro Heroes wasted no time in launching themselves into the building, straight through the dust cloud, to quickly apprehend anyone (or anything in the case of the Nomu) that was inside.
-Bar: Sakegiri-
Knock Knock Knock
"Kamino Pizza delivery!" A man's voice said through the door to the bar.
Dabi's eyes widened a little in surprise.
Twice looked between Shigaraki, Kurogiri, and Dabi, clearly confused.
"What?" Kurogiri's confusion was clear as day in his voice.
Shigaraki's anger quickly got out of his control as he violently turned to glare at Twice and Dabi. "Which one of you dumbasses actually ordered a-!"
BAM
Shigaraki's violent tirade was cut off as All Might punched through the brick wall behind the table where Twice and Dabi were sitting. The two men both scrambled away from the falling bricks and the Number One Hero.
"What the?!" Twice cried out in shock. "You broke our wall!" He shouted angrily a half-second later.
"Kurogiri! Warp us!" Shigaraki ordered.
Kurogiri's black and purple mist began to spread to do just that, but not before someone swung into the bar from the gaping hole in the wall.
"Preemptive Binding: Lacquered Chain Prison!" Kamui Woods punched his wooden gauntlet forward and it burst into rapid growth, thick limbs of wood snagging Twice, Kurogiri, Dabi, and Shigaraki before they could even move.
Dabi saw what was wrapped around him and scoffed. "Wood, huh?" Blue flames appeared along his skin. "Like this could hold…"
"Not so fast!" A blur zipped through the air and a yellow boot slammed into the back of Dabi's head. The blur revealed itself to be an old man in a white, full-body, Hero costume with yellow gloves, boots, belt, and cape, with a black mask over his eyes. "You're gonna want to take it easy…for your own sake."
Dabi couldn't hear him as the kick to the back of the head had knocked him unconscious, his eyes still open, but his pupils rolled up as he slumped forward as much as the thick wooden bindings around him would allow.
"One must never neglect defense. Especially when attacking…" Edgeshot slipped through the gap in the door frame as a thin string that quickly reformed into the Ninja Hero's body. He easily unlocked the door now that he was inside. "Kamino Pizza is more than just us here."
The door was thrown open and a dozen of the armored and armed policemen entered the bar, guns trained on the villains.
"After all our scheming and planning…" Shigaraki nearly growled as he glared hatefully at All Might. "…the final boss goes and shows up on our doorstep." He struggled futilely against the thick branches that held him tightly. "No use, then…" Shigaraki stopped struggling. "We're not the only ones you gotta worry about… Kurogiri! Bring them all over to play!"
Kurogiri's body swirled only for another Warp Gate to open at the same time and in the same space. The two distortions in space reacted violently with each other, imploding before a burst of air was released as the two swirling black mists disappeared.
"Gah!" Kurogiri rocked backwards as much as his body could while bound by Kamui Woods. "K-Kickback…again?" He wheezed out as his entire head felt a sharp pain throughout, as if a spike had been driven straight through his forehead and into the center of his brain.
-Outside-
"Ngh!" Izuku grimaced, feeling the same thing as Kurogiri as his Warp Gate forcibly collapsed.
Nezu looked over at his student with sharp eyes, but didn't see any signs of bleeding like what had been reported before.
"Warp Gate…successfully blocked." Izuku reported his success to Nezu after a second to push the mental pain aside.
"Very good, Synthesis." Nezu nodded before focusing on the bar in the distance. Already a dozen different scenarios were playing in his mind on how this situation could proceed. He had to have a plan to respond to each and every one of them or this raid might still fail.
-Bar-
"I'm sorry…Shigaraki Tomura…my Quirk is being blocked…" Kurogiri would've kept trying, but Edgeshot had a different idea.
A thin black string passed straight through Kurogiri faster than the eye could see. Edgeshot reformed behind Kurogiri as the man slumped forward unmoving. "Ninpo: Thousand Sheet Pierce." The Ninja Hero looked dispassionately at the unconscious Kurogiri.
"Holy crap! I didn't even see him move!" Twice said in awe. "Is that Kurogiri bastard dead?!" The angry tone demanded a second later.
Edgeshot glanced at Twice, making the villain flinch slightly. "He's not dead, just unconscious. I messed with his insides a bit. This one was the most problematic, so he's going to take a nap for a while."
"Like I just said. You'll all be better off if you take it easy." Gran Torino said as he looked at Twice. "Bubaigawara Jin…" Twice flinched at his real name being spoken. "The police have already investigated you; we know who you are, there's nowhere left for you to run." His sharp eyes locked onto Shigaraki. "So, Shigaraki, let me ask you: Where's your boss?"
"You gotta be kidding… This can't… This can't…" Shigaraki began to mutter, his eyes wide behind the hand covering his face. "Defeated… Just like that?" His entire body began to shake. "No freaking way… Get outta here and go to hell!"
All Might took a powerful step forward, the floor of the bar cracking beneath his foot. "Where is he, Shigaraki?!" The Number One Hero's voice was like thunder.
"I HATE YOU!" Shigaraki roared at All Might.
-Abandoned Factory-
"Seems they're here." All for One said casually as he heard the loud crash from above. His hidden location was below this inconspicuous old factory, but now it appeared to be compromised. He watched the screen with his Electric Imaging Quirk, seeing Tomura caught, Kurogiri dealt with, and the remaining two members of the League also restrained, he activated one of his Quirks to send a few of the Nomu above to help 'correct' this situation.
When nothing happened, All for One's train of thought briefly stalled.
"What?" All for One tried again to activate his Warping Quirk, but still nothing happened. "How?" There was nothing wrong with the Quirk. It wasn't being 'erased' by a Quirk like Eraserhead's either. It just wasn't working. In his almost two centuries of life, he'd never once experienced such a thing.
Thinking quickly, All for One switched the monitor in front of him over to the feed that connected him to Garaki.
-Above-
"Ewww… Are these things really alive?" Mt. Lady asked as she held two Nomu in each of her giant hands. Their limp, pale bodies were way too 'corpse-like' for her.
Gang Orca had blasted the Nomu in the storage tanks on the side of the abandoned factory with his sonic attack, meant to overwhelm an opponent's ears and disrupt their balance, making it hard for them to move. But as the Hero lifted another Nomu out of its tank, it seemed like he hadn't needed to. "These things don't react at all." He tossed the Nomu towards Best Jeanist and the Number Four Hero quickly had it tied up and secured with his Fiber Master Quirk.
"Isn't it strange for a job to be this easy, Jeanist?" Mt. Lady asked the much more experienced Hero. "Guess I should've gone with All Might's team." She sighed at how little this operation would go towards her improvement as a Hero. It was basically a cleanup job at this point. "The grand entrance was fun though." She mumbled under her breath.
Best Jeanist glanced over at Mt. Lady. "You must learn to distinguish between difficult and important, you novice." He lightly chastised Mt. Lady before looking over towards the armored policemen. "Riot squad, bring the iron maidens quickly! We want these things secured in case they start moving."
"Yes, sir!" The policemen were quick in their response as the specialized restraints were being brought in just a few moments later.
-Jaku Hospital ~ First Floor-
"Hm, hm, hm…" Dr. Garaki hummed as he went about his normal rounds at the hospital. He nodded to a nurse that greeted him and continued on his way towards the elevators. 'The patient in room 374 will most likely pass in the next few days. I'll have to make sure that their Quirk can be collected while the corpse is in the morgue.' The fact that the patient would be able to be saved if more treatment was given didn't even pass through the twisted man's mind. All of the patients here were nothing more than Quirks, specimens, and 'spare parts' as far as Garaki was concerned.
A faint, almost unnoticed, blue sheen filled the air, passing through the hallway that Garaki had been walking down.
"What?" Garaki wondered if this was a patient's Quirk for a brief moment.
With an odd sound Garaki saw the orderly walking further ahead of him vanish. The sound was gone and to Garaki's shock, so was everyone else in the hallway. He quickly moved to the room closest to him, but no one was there, even the hospital bed that the patient had been lying in was gone, along with their IV drip.
"How?!" Garaki rushed to the next room and found the same thing. "This… This can't be…" The old man ran as fast as he could only to come to a dead stop when he saw that even the nurse station was completely empty, not a single person to be seen anywhere. The sudden silence of the hospital was instantly unnerving.
Garaki heard the odd sound again, this time coming from behind him, and he turned around quickly. What he saw was a slim younger man that was rather tall, standing somewhere around 191cm, if his eyes were still as accurate as they once were. The man had faint shadows right under his grey eyes. He wore a northern-style fur hat, which was white and had a spotted pattern along the bottom and the bill. He had very short dark black hair, a majority of which was obscured by his hat, except for his sideburns and his small goatee. He wore a long black coat with a yellow design that looked like a stylized heart crossed with a skull on both shoulders and the long sleeves covered down to just past his wrists. Hidden beneath the long sleeves were multiple tribal-style tattoos. Held against the right side of his chest and slightly resting on his shoulder was a longsword with a simple blue-grey scabbard and white fur around the guard, similar to a Japanese Ōdachi if not outright based on the type of sword.
"Dr. Garaki, I take it?" Law nearly spat the word 'doctor' at the old man.
"Y-Yes…" Garaki confirmed as he took a step back from the foreigner. "Who are you?" The old man asked, hoping to distract the younger man as he reached into his pocket.
"Law." Law's answer was short and to the point. He saw Garaki's eyes widen as recognition filled them. "I'm stopping your sick experiments. You're a disgrace to doctors everywhere."
Garaki pressed the button on a small device in his pocket, similar to a car remote by design to look inconspicuous. It didn't do anything by itself, but it did send an emergency panic signal to All For One that Garaki needed immediate extraction. Said panic signal also had a secondary effect, but Garaki was hopeful that once he was safely secured in one of All for One's safehouses, he'd be able to disengage it before his most prized 'works in progress' were forcibly awakened before they were ready. "I d-don't know what you mean, sir." Garaki said, feigning innocence.
"Scan." Law said as his sheathed sword glowed faintly and the man moved it from right to left across his field of vision. "Shambles."
The strange sound was heard again and everything in Garaki's pockets, both interior and exterior, suddenly appeared on the ground at Law's feet. Most of the items were simple things like a few pens, a prescription pad, some hard candies, and a packet of tissues. The item that caught Law's attention was the car remote, simply for the fact that, according to Nezu's thorough investigation, Garaki didn't own a car.
'Why haven't I been warped yet?!' Garaki wondered as sweat started to form on his face and brow. Usually, though it had only been needed once before, the warping happened a few seconds after he pushed the button. 'There's no way that I've been abandoned… The master knows how valuable I am! Only both of us together can make his vision a reality!'
Law unsheathed his sword in a fluid motion.
Garaki bolted in the opposite direction as panic overtook him. 'I need to get to the lab! Just getting the door open will be enough! Johnny is always waiting for me! I'll have him use his Warping Quirk so that I can escape!'
The sound of displaced air filled Garaki's ears as Law suddenly appeared a few meters in front of him. The old doctor, though mad scientist might be a more apt description, stumbled as he tried to stop suddenly. Law's blade didn't even touch Garaki, but the hidden villain split into pieces all the same…though there was not a drop of blood spilt.
"Wh-What have you done to me…?" Garaki's head asked from where it lay on the floor. All over the hallway were his various parts. His right arm was next to the wall, his left arm was a bit further in front of him, his torso was flat on the ground in the middle of the hallway, and so were both of his legs, though each was about a meter behind his torso.
"You'll live." Law said coldly as he lifted his left index finger and Garaki's head floated off the floor, only to be grabbed by the foreign Pro Hero. "You're coming with me."
Law was about to switch places with a small stone he could sense through his Room that was close to where the other Heroes were waiting, but he stopped as several other things caught his attention. "What in the world?" All of the strange things were moving about in the hidden basement lab that he 'saw' through his Quirk. "What did you do?!" He demanded of Garaki's head.
BAM
The floor of the hospital exploded upwards as a large, black Nomu punched its way through the floor.
"GREEEAAHH!" The monstrous bioweapon screeched as it heeded its ingrained behavior to protect Garaki.
"Takt!" Law moved his hand and without warning, several hospital beds shot straight through the walls and slammed into the Nomu with a loud crash. "There are five Nomu active within the hospital, first floor!" Law said with his mouth partially hidden by his high collar. A tiny radio transmitted his words to the other Pro Heroes.
The crushed Nomu threw the hospital beds aside as its body rapidly regenerated and it rushed towards Law. The fat bioweapon opened its mouth wide as its body expanded to nearly fill the entire hallway. The teeth in the mouth of the Nomu took on a metal sheen as it snapped at Law who vanished and reappeared behind the creature. The fat Nomu fell to pieces as Law quickly moved his sword, never once having to actually touch the Nomu to slice it apart.
"Chubs!" Garaki's head cried out as his creation fell apart. The various pieces twitched a bit, but as there was no cellular damage done, the Hyper Regeneration didn't kick in to restore the Nomu.
"BRRRAAAUUUHHH!" The trumpeting of an elephant was loud in the empty hospital as a second Nomu charged towards Law from the hole that had been smashed through the floor. The new Nomu had an elephant-like trunk on its face and two protrusions on its back that let out what appeared to be steam or smoke. The hulking creature's charge left shattered imprints of its feet in the tile floor of the hospital.
A blur slammed into the Nomu and its charge stalled.
"About time!" Mirko said with a wild smile as she looked at the Nomu in front of her. "I've been waiting to take on one of you!"
"Really not the time for battle junkie tendencies." Law said to Mirko as he watched three more Nomu emerge from the hole.
One was clearly feminine, with visible breasts and womanly curves. A bit of semi-long hair was on the back of the Nomu's head, along with flayed skin that had been left after it had been pulled back to remove the skull and expose the brain. The next one was odd with a long tentacle or antenna on its head that whipped around in a prehensile fashion. The final Nomu was the strangest as its head was encased by metal, giving it a robot-like appearance, and its legs looked mechanical as well.
The female Nomu raised her arm and aimed at the two Heroes, the tips of her fingers turned into liquid before shooting forward like bullets.
Law vanished with his Quirk, easily avoiding the attack.
Mirko hopped over it, her feet on the ceiling in a blur before she used her powerful legs to kick off and slam her knee into the elephant Nomu's exposed brain. "Fucking gross!" She cursed, even as a nearly feral smile was on her face. The elephant Nomu's entire body spasmed as its brain was splattered, before it fell forward and didn't move again.
The robot Nomu's eyes glowed yellow before twin beams fired from them straight at Mirko. The Rabbit Hero vanished in midair and the beams hit the wall.
BOOM
The wall exploded while the remaining three Nomu looked around for either of the Heroes.
"Hey! Don't get in the way!" Mirko yelled out as she launched herself back towards the Nomu.
"Hah…" Law exhaled once before sending Garaki's head away with 'Shambles' and tossing the rock he'd switched it with at the female Nomu. As he expected, the female Nomu easily dodged the rock and launched herself at him. "Shambles." Law vanished, switching places with the thrown rock as his sword sparked with electricity. "Radio Knife!" He stabbed the tentacle Nomu in the chest, only to grimace as he noticed that it had sprouted thick rib bones from its chest to block his sword.
"Kill…" The almost shriveled Nomu (in comparison to the muscular and large Nomu it had appeared with) said, making Law's eyes widen. He vanished with another 'Shambles' as the tentacle on the Nomu's head speared through the air where he'd just been.
Law wasn't given any reprieve as the female Nomu came at him the second he reappeared. Both of her hands became liquid and she blasted thin streams of high pressure at Law.
"I've got it!" A man called out as he leapt between Law and the blast of liquid. A large hexagon made of what appeared to be rock formed from the man's body and blocked the powerful liquid blast, getting two lines cut into the material.
The Pro Hero was currently Number Seven in Japan, Shield Hero: Crust. He was a well-built man with black hair combed backward, with a streak of grayish-white hair running down from the center of his hairline. The back of his right hand had a layer of rock-like material on it, probably due to his Quirk. His hero costume consisted of a black mask over his eyes, and attire similar to the armor Spartans wore, including a green hooded cape and a black shirt that appeared to be stitched down the middle with a red pattern.
"Shambles!" Law switched the female Nomu's position with the skinny tentacle Nomu's, confusing the two bioweapons for a moment.
"HAH!" Crust only needed that single moment to spin his large shield and use the sharp edges to cut off the long tentacle from the Nomu.
The tentacle Nomu staggered back two steps before its Hyper Regeneration kicked in and the tentacle regrew in mere seconds.
"We can do this!" Crust shouted encouragement as the fight was clearly going to continue and be drawn out if the Nomu could all regenerate.
Mirko was bouncing around the hall as the robot Nomu and the female Nomu both chased after her with lethal intent. A fist through a wall, a laser blast destroyed another hospital room, pressurized liquid cut through the floor, walls, and ceiling like paper. Yet all the while Mirko only got more and more pumped up. "I think I've got your numbers now!" She launched herself off the ground, shattering the tiled floor in the process.
Crack
The female Nomu's head was facing the wrong direction, Mirko's speed blitz kick had broken the neck and forcefully turned the Nomu's head one-hundred-eighty degrees.
"Won't sit still." The robot Nomu held out its hand and made a gripping motion before twisting its hand slowly towards the right.
Mirko's eyes widened as her left arm twisted and she felt the bones crack instantly as her muscles screamed in agony. "That fucking hurts!" She ignored the distortion that was trying to spin her arm around like a towel and launched herself straight at the robot Nomu. She wrapped her thighs around the robot-like head as she looked into the bioweapon's eyes. "Guys that're good at long-range attacks usually aren't so hot when it comes to close range!" Mirko's nearly feral smile would've scared any normal villain.
"Die." The yellow eyes glowed as the Nomu prepared to use its laser Quirk.
"Sure!" Mirko twisted her hips and the torque generated by her powerful body tore through the thick flesh and muscle of the Nomu's neck. "But only when it's my time!" She continued her roll, completing a full three-hundred-sixty degree rotation as she tore the Nomu's head off and then brought her foot down on it in a devastating kick. "Luna Tijeras!" The robot Nomu's head was splattered into paste as the floor was reduced to rubble beneath Mirko's foot.
"Liquification…plus Rupture…" The female Nomu muttered before her legs swelled up to massive proportions and then exploded like bombs, sending bullets of water in every direction that tore through everything in their path.
Mirko had already leapt straight up the instant she saw the massive, swelled up legs of the Nomu, but it wasn't fast enough. A water bullet tore a hole into her side, one grazed her right leg tearing part of her flesh out in a spray of blood, another clipped her left ear, cutting out a section of the fluffy rabbit ear, and one last bullet managed to cut a line across her forehead and coat the Rabbit Hero's face in her own blood.
Crack
Mirko's feet cratered the ceiling where she landed from her jump. With a wild, bloody grin on her face she kicked off the ceiling of the lobby and rocketed three stories straight down while spinning at blurring speeds.
The female Nomu turned her body into water with her Liquification Quirk to make any physical blow invalid against her.
"Shambles."
The female Nomu and the tentacle Nomu switched places instantly.
"Huh?" The tentacle Nomu uttered out just as Mirko's foot slammed into its misshapen head and drove it straight into the concrete floor.
"Luna Fall!" Mirko roared out in her battle high.
BOOM
It was like a bomb had gone off as the floor shattered and shrapnel flew in every direction.
The tentacle Nomu proved to have dozens of layers of strong bones beneath its skin to protect its head. The fragments and shattered bones stabbed through Mirko's foot even as the tentacle Nomu's head splattered into mush from the force of her attack.
"That's gonna hurt like hell when the adrenaline wears off!" Mirko exclaimed as she saw the damage to her foot, but couldn't feel it as her brain was currently filled with a cocktail of dopamine, endorphins, and adrenaline.
"Radio Knife!" Law stabbed his sparking sword straight into the liquid body of the female Nomu the same instant that he'd switched the positions of the two Nomu.
"GrAhAgHaGhA!" The Nomu cried out as the electricity overloaded her body and fried her brain, the one part that she couldn't turn into water. The female Nomu's body solidified back into muscle before dropping to the ground, steaming from the overload of electricity.
With a swing of his sword, Law separated the brain from the body and then stomped in underfoot, finishing off the female Nomu for good. He sheathed his sword, knowing that his Gear's battery was drained now, and looked towards Mirko. "Shit…" He cursed lowly while jogging towards the Rabbit Hero. "Lay down and stop moving!" He didn't wait for Mirko to comply, simply using 'Shambles' to change her position twice until she was lying on the ground near the front doors of the hospital. "I'm going to give you an anesthetic for the pain and then stop your bleeding."
"I can't feel any pain right now." Mirko smirked up at the Pro Hero and doctor.
"Keep talking so you don't pass out." Law instructed as he opened his long coat and then opened up a pouch on one side to reveal medical supplies. He pulled out a small syringe, took off the cap, and then injected the anesthetic into Mirko's arm that didn't look like a twisted up towel. Not waiting for anything else, even as other Pro Heroes moved to secure the hidden underground lab and the riot police moved into the hospital to secure it for evidence gathering, Law began to sanitize and bandage as many of Mirko's wounds as possible. "This is why I said it wasn't a good time for battle junkie tendencies."
Mirko closed one eye as Law cleaned the blood off her face. "I live everyday to the fullest. That way, when my time's up, I can check out without regrets!"
Law said nothing to that, focusing on taking care of the injuries that he could. He briefly glanced at Mirko's mangled arm and knew he couldn't do anything to save it. 'Unless Japan has a miraculous Healing Quirk that I don't know about, she's going to lose that arm.'
-Abandoned Factory-
"I must admit…you've managed to surprise me, Heroes." A rough voice said from the darkness at the back of the abandoned factory.
All of the Heroes turned their attention to the spot where the voice had come from, but it was too dark to see.
"Stop. Not another step." Gang Orca held out his hand to the unseen person.
"We need a light over here!" Tiger called out to the policemen.
The silhouette of a person was barely able to be made out in the gloom.
Gang Orca narrowed his eyes as the person kept approaching. "Is he with the League of Villains?"
"Ever since I was reduced to this I haven't been able to be as active anymore." The voice continued. A dress shoe appeared at the edge of the light that was now being shone into the old factory from outside.
Best Jeanist clenched his hands and the person's clothing tightened instantly, snapping their arms to their sides and their legs together to prevent them from moving.
"Jeanist! What if he's just a civilian?!" Mt. Lady asked in concern that the Number Four Hero had overreacted and harmed an innocent bystander. Given that her Quirk often ended up causing some collateral damage when she resolved cases, it wasn't unexpected that Mt. Lady of all Heroes would be concerned about accidentally hurting civilians.
"Use your head. A moment's hesitation could allow the enemy to turn the tables on us." Best Jeanist said as he clenched his fist tightly to completely restrict the suspicious person's movement. "We mustn't allow a villain to pull any tricks."
BOOOOOOOOMMMMM
The entire area shook as multiple buildings collapsed from the force that had been unleashed. A massive gust of wind shattered windows outside the direct impact zone and civilians outside the perimeter cried out in terror and panic.
The Pro Heroes were laid out in the crater that had been gouged in the earth. The policemen were at the very edges, having just escaped the blast zone and managed to keep their lives, though many were injured by the flying debris. In the single second that the man had used his power, he'd instilled a fear of death in everyone present that was stronger than anything they'd ever felt in their lives.
"Tomura's only just started to think for himself. To carve his own path forward." All for One rose into the air, floating more than flying, but it let him look down on the devastation that he'd just unleashed and all of the Heroes that were on the ground in various states of injury. "If possible, I'd like to keep anyone from interfering with that." Seeing that all of the Pro Heroes were actually still alive made All for One grin beneath the black helmet and mask that he wore at the moment. The device was of Garaki's invention and acted as his life support system for a time in the unlikely case that All for One ever needed to fight before his plans reached fruition. All for One clapped slowly for the one that had managed to keep everyone alive. "That's the Number Four Pro Hero for you! Best Jeanist!" The slow clap continued mockingly. "I intended to kill them all with that blast, but you grabbed them by their clothes and threw them to the side in the nick of time! Such quick decision making! Such technique…such incredible reflexes!"
"Y-You're…" Best Jeanist coughed, feeling pain all over his body from the attack that he'd barely been able to react to at all. 'We had absolutely no idea… But this must be the one that All Might mentioned…the one that left him on death's door…" Best Jeanist used the denim threads from his own costume to start pushing himself into a sitting position. 'But so what?! A first class Hero would never use that as an excuse for fail-'
A horrible pain piercing straight through him ended Best Jeanist's thought as well as his attempt to get up. The Number Four Hero's back hit the ground again, his eyes wide with agony at the severe injury.
All for One held his right hand aloft, his index finger pointed at Best Jeanist from his attack. "Your strength is the product of endless training and a wealth of experience. But I don't need it." All for One said nonchalantly as he clenched his hand into a fist. "Because your Quirk isn't one that would suit Tomura."
Anything that required complex thinking or extensive training wouldn't be of use to Tomura and All for One knew it. That was part of his plan, after all.
'I'll mop up here first, then retrieve the good doctor. Tomura can wait for a short time; I should be able to retrieve him before the police can get him into a secure facility.' All for One quickly made a plan based on the priorities of his overall plan that he'd been working on for the better part of his life. "Well…shall we begin?" He asked the injured Heroes rhetorically.
Outside of the perimeter, Zone bit out a curse. "Fuck… I'd say that's your big bad, yeah?" He said it in English, but Mandalay, who was currently the closest to him, was fairly fluent in the language herself.
"HE'S AT THE FACTORY! THE LEAGUE OF VILLAINS MASTERMIND IS AT THE FACTORY!" Mandalay did the mental equivalent of yelling through her Quirk.
-Sakegiri Bar-
"What?!" All Might's head turned in the general direction of where the factory was.
"I'LL KILL YOU, ALL MIGHT!" Shigaraki roared as he tried to bend his arm and wrist enough to place all five fingers on wooden restraints around him.
A thin black string pierced Shigaraki from behind and his eye rolled up into his head a second later.
"That's enough out of you." Edgeshot said as his index finger reformed to normal.
"Let's go!" Gran Torino shot a look at All Might before the old man blasted off with his Quirk into the night air.
All Might looked at Edgeshot and Kamui Woods. "Will you two take care of this scene?"
"We'll handle it, All Might." Edgeshot assured the Number One Hero.
All Might launched himself after his mentor, only for both of them to be called out before they could get far away.
"Stop!" Nezu's voice made both Heroes stop atop the nearest rooftop. "Might I suggest a faster way?" He pointed at Izuku. "Synthesis, we need a portal to Raid Location Two!"
"Yes, sir!" Izuku had that location saved and a swirling gate of black and purple mist was formed a second later. "Ready!"
"Excellent work, Synthesis!" All Might smiled at Izuku (nearly making Izuku nerd out in pure joy right then and there) and in a blur the Number One Hero was through the Warp Gate.
"You did good kid!" Gran Torino said as he shot through the portal right behind All Might.
Izuku looked to Nezu for further instruction. "Should I close the gate, sir?"
"One moment, Synthesis." Nezu looked at the real Mandalay that was with them. "Mandalay, can you confirm injuries at Raid Location Two?"
Mandalay nodded a few seconds later. "Judging by the blast alone, the policemen are all injured and the Hero Team at the location are in need of evac as well!"
Nezu nodded and thought for a brief moment. "Synthesis, keep the Warp gate open, we'll provide reinforcement with it and evacuate the injured at Location Two as well!"
"No problem!" Izuku nodded and lifted his left hand, helping him focus as he made a second Warp gate with a different location than the first. "I've connected to Location Three, sir!"
"Excellent." Nezu gave Izuku a quick nod as his mind quickly parsed through all relevant information. "Mandalay, confirm the location situation at Location Three and see if they have anyone available to send to Location Two as backup."
Mandalay was already doing so without saying a word. Coordinating with the Doubles of herself was easy and fast.
"I'll go." Endeavor had approached the group at the back of the perimeter now that everyone in the bar had been captured and were being arrested and detained by the police. "We need all the firepower we can muster to face off against a villain that nearly killed All Might, right?"
Nezu nodded, having already been planning on sending Endeavor. "Go ahead. We'll send more as soon as we can."
Endeavor nodded to Izuku once before he went through the first Warp Gate that took him to Location Two.
"We have more Heroes from Jaku…I mean Location Three available! The raid was a complete success with only a few serious injuries but most of the Pro Heroes are fine and ready to go!" Mandalay informed Nezu as soon as she got the information.
"Tell them to enter the Warp Gate at their location immediately." Nezu wasn't going to give All for One any chances of escaping this situation. He'd made plans for each scenario of the man being here at the bar, or at the Jaku Hospital, or at the factory. The factory was simply the most likely given the anonymity of its location and its outward appearance. 'I'm cutting off all of your avenues of escape. You have no allies left. Your legend ends tonight, All for One.'
Izuku blinked in surprise when a line of Pro Heroes exited his second Warp gate and disappeared into his first one in quick succession. "Hadō-senpai?" Izuku saw the Third Year student right behind Ryukyu as they left the second Warp Gate and entered the first. He hadn't known all of the Pro Heroes that were on this Team Up, but it surprised him to see another student here, even if Nejire had her Provisional License and was a work study protégé of the Dragoon Hero: Ryukyu.
-Abandoned Factory-
"What's this?" All for One saw the Warp Gate form, and for just an instant thought that Kurogiri had managed to get Tomura to him. But his faint hope was dashed as All Might blitzed towards him straight away with a powerful punch.
Bam
Bam
All for One caught both of All Might's punches as the two powerhouses struggled against each other.
"All for One!" All Might nearly spat the villain's moniker.
"All Might… Are you here to kill me again?" All for One mocked the Number One Hero's failure to end him five years ago.
Seeing Gran Torino jet out of the Warp Gate and then Endeavor appear annoyed All for One as more and more backup arrived for All Might.
"This ends now!" All Might declared fiercely, his blue eyes glowing powerfully with his remaining embers of One for All.
All for One was able to 'look' through his helmet to see the injured policemen and Heroes had been carried back through the Warp Gate in the time that he and All Might had been clashing, their combined strength shaking the air around them and preventing others from getting close. The fact that almost a dozen more Heroes were now here and spreading out to encircle him or help with further evacuation of civilians only further soured his mood. "Enough of that!" he blasted All Might point blank with a powerful Air Cannon that sent the Number One here straight through a damaged building a block away. "Let's have the young man join us!" He reached out with a Quirk he very rarely used because of the strain it placed on his weakened body. "Quirk Reversal!"
-Back Perimeter ~ Sakegiri Bar-
"Huh?" Izuku felt his first Warp Gate fluctuate wildly. "Nezu, sir, something is wrong!" The Warp Gate flashed white and yellow, the mist-like particles even spinning in the opposite direction suddenly before Izuku was yanked forward and through the Quirk.
"Synthesis!" Nezu yelled, leaping right after his student, but missing the gate as it vanished before he could reach it. "NOOOOO!" That was NOT in his plans and broke his promise to Midoriya's parents that their son not be dragged to the front lines. "Mandalay! Contact your Double at Location Two immediately, relay my instructions for Synthesis to fall back, immediately!"
"Yes, sir!" Mandalay didn't waste even a fraction of a second, not wanting Izuku, someone that the Pussycats (and her family specifically) felt indebted to after the Summer Camp incident, to be put in such danger.
-Abandoned Factory-
"Oof!" Izuku hit the ground hard after being forcefully pulled through his own Warp Gate. There was a heavy pressure in the air and Izuku quickly looked up, only to see a floating man, wearing a black suit and a black mechanical mask that was clearly the source of the horrid feeling.
"Ah, Midoriya Izuku, how nice of you to join us." All for One said with a hidden grin behind his mask. "You've caused me quite a bit of trouble, bringing all of these Heroes to gang up on me." The small, mocking chuckle that All for One said that with made more than a few of the Pro Heroes glare at him. "I've decided to deal with all of them since you've been so kind as to gather them all in one place for me."
Izuku got to his feet and tried to activate Warp Gate to flee, only for the Quirk to not work. "Oh…that's right."
-Zone and Mandalay-
"What do you mean he got inside?!" Zone looked at Mandalay like she was crazy. "He can't use Warping Quirks while he's inside my domain! The only reason it worked to get the others inside was because he, the source, was outside of the effect of my rules!"
"No…" Mandalay's eyes widened in horror as she quickly relayed the information to Nezu through her Quirk.
Unnoticed by either Pro Hero due to the situation they now found themselves in, multiple news helicopters were now flying above the sight of the devastated area of Kamino, recording the confrontation between dozens of Heroes and what appeared to be a single villain.

Plans never survive contact with the enemy.
Nezu's plan for a triple raid has cut the legs out from under the League of Villains!
Tomura is captured, Dabi is captured, Twice is captured, Kurogiri is captured, Garaki is captured! There's no one left!
But the falling apart of plans goes both ways and All for One has dragged Izuku onto the front lines to end his use of Warp Gate!
Zone either has to end his current domain (which would allow All for One to use Warping to escape) or he has to hold the domain and hope that Izuku can get out of harm's way!
The three rules currently in effect are: No Warping Quirks. Nothing can physically leave the domain. No stealing Quirks.
That means Izuku can't physically run away either!
How will this final showdown with the 'Demon King' of the criminal underworld play out?
