Hey guys! I'm still working on Forever, but I had this idea stuck in my head all day, so here goes nothing! I hope you guys enjoy!

"Welcome, freshperson!" A woman yells on the stage of Barden University, and the freshmen all cheer as I walk in. I quickly squeeze into a seat, apologizing to the person next to me.

"You have made a smart decision, and a cheap one too!" The woman says again, and some T-shirts fly off stage. I settle into my seat, watching intently. "Now we have a special performance for you... the Treblamekers!"

A college boy in jeans and a red shirt walks up, grabbing the microphone. "We are the Treblemakers." He clarifies, and the rest of the guys behind him get into formation. "I'm Jesse, and this is a capella."

Hey yo, Trebles!

Aww yeah!

Da da da da da dada...

I lean forward in my seat, watching the performance happily and my foot tapping to the beat. They're really good, maybe even as good as the Bellas. Speaking of which, I can't wait to be a Barden Bella. I'm most excited to meet Beca Mitchell, the woman who single-handedly created the Bella sound. I'm just worried I won't get in... but then my mom's words come back to me. You're a Legacy. Thanks to me, you were born into it. They really can't deny me, apparently. I have a hard time believing that though...

Before I know it, the performance is over. Jesse's standing in the middle of the center, his arms crossed, and the rest of the guys are laying on the floor around him. I cheer loudly with the rest of the crowd.

"Great job Trebles. You guys killed it!" I exclaim later when I see Jesse standing outside, handing out flyers for a party.

"Thank you." He replies, looking me up and down quickly as he takes in my appearance. "You like a cappella?"

"Oh yeah. I've got my heart set on being a Bella." I give him a smile. "It's actually at the top of all my dream boards."

"Did I hear the mention of dreams? Hi, Benjamin Applebaum at your service." Another one of the Trebles walks over and holds his hand out to me. "Hello. I just have to say, you are so spirited. I just want to put you in a box and saw you in half." My smile falls off my face, and Jesse quickly intervenes.

"For magic. As a part of a trick. He does magic."

"Right..." I trail off, and he grabs Benjamin's arm and starts to push him away.

"It's only weird if you don't embrace it." He states before they disappear. I watch for a minute, then shake my head and decide to go to my dorm.

Auditions roll around, and I walk into the auditorium, feeling super nervous. I cling onto my bag tightly as I look around. I scan the room three times before I sigh in defeat and confusion. The Bellas aren't even here. I do see the Trebles though, so I walk over to Jesse and give him a tentative smile.

"Hey. You're the girl from earlier." He says, and I nod. His smile grows a little stronger. "What's up?"

"Uh, do you know where the Bellas are?" I ask, and his smile falters a little. Immediately, my heart stops.

"Yeah, I do actually. Beca told me they're not allowed to take in new members." He looks apologetic as my face falls. "Sorry."

"No, it's fine. Do you know where they live?" He nods, then grabs a pen and paper. He writes the address, then hands it to me. I look at it for a second before looking back up and smiling. "Thanks."

"You're welcome. And good luck." He returns my smile. I turn and walk out of the auditorium, looking around the lake for the address written on the paper. It takes me about 20 minutes to find it, and when I do, I feel a little stupid. It should have been obvious, with the toilet paper hanging from the trees. I try my best to avoid it as I advance to the front door. I quickly shake my arms out nervously, then take a deep breath and ring the doorbell. I hear some thumping, then the door opens, revealing the woman I immediately recognize as Fat Amy.

"Oh, sorry my boobs are all crazy, I was just jumping." She says, adjusting her breasts as she looks at me.

"I, um, I uh, I just came from auditions, and you guys weren't there. I was hoping for the chance to sing for you."

She gives me a crazy look. "No can't help you. We're not allowed to take anyone else new." She starts to close the door, but I quickly stop it.

"No no no no, wait wait wait wait. I'm a, I'm a Junk." I manage to stutter, sticking my head in the door after her.

"What you say about your junk?" Another woman opens the door. She motions me in with her head, and I gratefully follow her into the living room. I see a group of girls sitting around, including some I recognize, like Fat Amy and Chloe. My heart drops a little when I don't see Beca.

Chloe and some other girls stand, and I look at her as I speak. "I'm Emily. Junk. I know it's weird, my dad's last name was Hardon, so."

Chloe opens her mouth to speak, but just stares at me. "Um..." I trail off, then sigh. "I'm a Legacy. Junk, Junk." Chloe's face starts to turn into one of recognition. "My mom was a Bella."

"Your mother is Katherine Junk?" She asks in astonishment, and I feel myself smiling.

"Who?" A girl from behind her asks, and when my eyes find her face, I intake a deep breath. She's easily the most beautiful woman I've ever seen, with her light brown hair and deep green eyes. The blue shirt she's wearing fits her frame perfectly... what am I thinking right now?

"Only the top pitch of the 1981 Bellas" Chloe responds, her expression still one of shock as she turns the face her. "She pioneered the syncopated booty-shake. And word is, she has a five-octave vocal range." She finishes, smiling at me.

"Yup, still does. You do not want to hear the woman doing it with my dad. Whoo." I reply. Wait, what? That's not what I was planning on saying. Like, at all.

"What an odd thing to say." Fat Amy says, her brow furrowing in confusion.

"True. If a Legacy wants to audition, we have to let her." Chloe says, still smiling at me. "Ok, um... show us what you got." She sits down next to her, and she shrugs, smiling at me.

"Right now? Right here, right here right now." I stutter again, my nerves getting the better of me. "Oh, yeah." I add in a measly attempt to cover it up, taking my bag off my shoulder and setting it on the floor in front of me. "Ok, um, I'd like to perform an original song I've been working on. I'm not, I'm not quite finished with it though, so..." I shrug, "Let's not be dicks about it." I deadpan. The girls give me a crazy look, so I add, "Sorry, that was crass, wasn't it? Fat Amy, you have a lovely vagina." I end up rambling, looking over at the Australian as I do so.

"Thank you. Proceed."

I sigh, closing my eyes for a second, then start singing.

When tomorrow comes, I'll be on my own

Feeling frightened of the things that I don't know

When tomorrow comes, when tomorrow comes, when tomorrow comes

I close my eyes, and I feel my voice becoming less shaky as the nerves start to fade away.

And though the road is long, I look up to the sky

I risk opening my eyes again, completely confident at this point.

Darkness all around, no hope- "that one I'm still kind of tinkering with, that verse, so it's, nothing's really completely set." Chloe just blinks, so I continue.

I got all I need when I got you and I

I look around me and see a sweet life

I allow my eyes to fall shut again, this time just getting lost into the music.

I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight

My eyes open again

You're getting me, getting me through the night

I do a small guitar/drum solo, trying to ignore the smile on her face as I do so.

You are my flashlight.

I throw a major riff at the end for good measure, ending with an ecstatic smile. Chloe looks at me, then says, "Would you excuse us for just one second?" I nod, and they all turn into a circle, whispering. I do my best not to seem like I'm intently watching as they discuss my fate.

Chloe whispers something I can't hear, then Amy says, "Well, what do you expect us to say, she's standing right there." They all look up at me, so I give an awkward wave and giggle. She smiles and waves back before turning back to the girls, and I feel my heart skip a beat. What is happening? They go back to whispering, and she responds to something Chloe says.

"Did anyone else think it was creepy that she never really opened her eyes the whole time?" I hear her whisper, and I quickly look away and pretend to be fascinated by the ceiling when her eyes find mine.

"Again, we're talking about her, and she's standing right there!" Fat Amy exclaims, and they all giggle and chuckle, looking at me again. "But if we're gonna talk negative, let's start with the giraffe legs." I do my best not to be offended by that.

Chloe says something I can't hear, then suddenly, all the girls are singing. I just stare in utter confusion as they come up to me. Chloe, the girl that let me in earlier, and she all stand directly in front of me.

"I like, I like your shirt." I mutter to the other woman as I attempt not to stare at the tall, gorgeous Bella in front of me.

Suddenly, Chloe grins. "Welcome to the Bellas!" Everyone laughs and smiles with her, but I can't help but stare at her perfect, beautiful smile... I wonder what her lips feel like... wait. I'm straight... right?

"O-M-ACA-GEE!" I scream out, "WHOOO!" I wave my hands in the air in excitement, until the woman whose shirt I complement grabs my arms.

"Stop it girl, stop it. Oh, girl stop." I immediately calm down as everyone gives me confusion- and probably worried for my sanity- looks.

"Sorry. So when does Initiation start? Tell you what, I'll go back to my dorm, and pretend to be surprised when you throw the hood over my head and make me solve a Rubix cube while sucking vodka from a maxi pad." They give me confused looks again, so I add, "That's what my mom said happened." I smile.

"Mmm, no can do." Chloe states.

"Look around, we don't exactly have a maxi pad to spare, sooo..." Fat Amy deadpans. "Alright, grab your guts ladies, it's party time!" She suddenly exclaims, throwing her hands in the air. "We got tickets to Copenhagen and a brand new Bella!" She suddenly turns and gives me a hug, and I'm so shocked from it and the Copenhagen statement that I don't react.

"Should I just, um?" I hear Chloe yell something, then sigh. "I'll just leave my bag here." I follow them out the door, closing it behind me.

As I'm walking around the party and just observing, I finally see the woman I've been looking forward to meeting.

"Beca, hi! I can't believe I'm meeting the woman who single-handedly created the Bella sound!" I exclaim excitedly, and she lowers the cup from her face to truly look at me. It's shocking how small she is in person.

"Oh, you must be Emily. Chloe texted me and said we added a Legacy. I didn't even know that was a thing!" She responds, smiling warmly at me. I open my mouth to respond, but suddenly I feel a hand on my arm. I turn around to see who it is, and my breath catches in my throat when I see it's her.

"Emily. Hi. I don't think I've properly introduced myself." She releases my arm and holds her hand out. "I'm Stacie. Stacie Conrad."

I take my hand in hers, immediately noticing how soft it is. "Hi, Stacie. Nice to finally meet you." Suddenly, she leans in, and I let out a squeak of surprise.

"How about I show you around?" She whispers, and from this close proximity, I can smell the alcohol on her breath.

"Uh, sure." I say, and she grabs my hand and immediately pulls me away from Beca. I turn to give her a confused look, but she just laughs. Jesse walks up to her, and he steals her attention as he kisses her. I notice Chloe glaring from a distance.

"Chloe has a thing for Beca?"

"Oh yeah, they're in love with each other." Stacie responds, handing me a cup. "Drink this."

"I, uh, I don't drink." I state, pushing the cup away.

She sighs, "Fine, I'll just drink it." Before I even have the chance to change my mind (because her sigh made me want to drink the whole damn keg), she downs it and chucks the cup behind her. Suddenly, she takes my hand again, dragging my to the dance floor. "I hope you dance!"

"That I can do!" I respond, and she suddenly presses her back against me, grinding into my hips. I stand there awkwardly, not sure how to process the onslaughter of thoughts running through my head. What the heck? Why does this feel so good? Why am I suddenly turned on by this? Why do I just want to push her against a wall and kiss her right now? Ohmygosh... am I gay?

"Legacy!" She groans, pulling me off my thought train of confusion. Her hands find mine, and she places them on her hips. I cling on as she grinds into me even faster. "You have to dance with me!"

"Fine!" I shout back, and I awkwardly move my hips in time with hers. Quickly though, we find a rhythm we're both comfortable with, and I find myself relaxing and actually enjoying myself. "Hey, so tell me more about Beca and Chloe?"

She laughs again, turning to face me but never breaking the contact. Her face is mere millimeters away from mine, and I find myself wrapping my hands tighter around her waist, pulling her closer. "They've been in love with each other since they met. Neither one of them will confirm it, but rumor has it Chloe barged into Beca's shower in our freshman year and made Beca sing with her while they were both naked."

"That must have been awkward."

"Or sexy." She winks at me, and I feel the blood rush to my cheeks. "Hey, wanna get out of here?"

Despite every thought telling me to stay, I find myself nodding. She grabs my arm again and pulls me away from the crows, expertly avoiding the Bellas as we make our escape. Once we're a safe distance from the party, I burst out laughing. Stacie does the same, grabbing my arm as she doubles over.

"That was amazing." I wheeze, and she grins.

"I know." She suddenly advances on me, smiling. I gulp and look into her green eyes, trying to see if I can decipher a motive. Sadly, there's nothing there I recognize. There's a fire in her eyes I've never seen before, and it makes me gulp again, this time trying to ignore the heat coursing through my veins. "I'm going to kiss you."

"W-what?" I stutter, and she suddenly freezes.

"I thought you wanted me to." She quickly says, backing up. Without thinking, I grab my hand and pull her closer to me.

"I do, I really do. I just wasn't expecting you to." My response surprises both of us, but she recovers before I do. Next thing I know, her lips are on mine, and her hands are wrapped around my waist. A million questions resurface to the front of my brain, but I push them back as I wrap my arms around Stacie's neck and kiss her back.

Huh. Maybe I am gay after all...
