-August 2004-

After Horatio and Marisol spent a night together following the engagement, Marisol and Carmen went into full planning mode. They decided on a complete Catholic wedding, which Horatio had no qualms about since it was all about making Marisol happy. Well, that and the in-laws. Over the next few weeks, Horatio and Marisol went through all the necessary steps to get married at the Catholic church including, the Pre-Marital Inventory and Pre-Nuptial Questionnaire.

It was a whirlwind planning marathon, but they made it. Horatio was standing with his best man Eric, Frank, and Speed as his groomsmen. He looked at his side of the church. While many Marisol's families had voluntarily decided to sit on his side (to even everyone out), he had only his co-workers Alexx, Yelina, and Susie and Madison Keaton (for whom Horatio had promised to watch out for) were there as guests.

Even with arrangement Marisol still had a big family there; it was more of a Delko family reunion, but this time to see Marisol finally get married. Horatio had been looking around and made eye contact with who he invited and Alexx. They all looked happy, and he saw Alexx mouth, "Congrats."

Horatio smiled and turned to face the doors to the church. Right as Calleigh, Isabel and Luisa had taken their places at the church's front, Horatio looked over at the closed sanctuary door as the Bridal Chorus began to play on the organ, and the guests all stood up. The door opened, and there was Marisol on her father's arm. He was totally floored. She was like a vision in the strapless all beaded lace A-line ballgown and a veil covering her face. While her face was covered, he could see the beaming smile on her beautiful face. He was one lucky guy.

Shortly after Marisol reached the front of the altar, Pavel shook hands with Horatio and then placed Marisol's hand into his, joining them together. After handing her bouquet to, Calleigh, she joined both hands with Horatio.

The father began, "You may be seated."

With a pregnant pause, the father said, "Dearly beloved, we gathered here today in the joining of Horatio Caine and Marisol Delko in holy matrimony…"

After they briefly tuned out what the father was saying and went into their own little world. Horatio smiled and mouthed, "You look beautiful."

Marisol smiled and mouthed back, "Thank you, handsome."

Then the father asked, "Horatio and Marisol, have you come here to enter into Marriage without coercion, freely and wholeheartedly?"

Both Horatio and Marisol both said, "I have."

The Father queried, "Are you prepared, as you follow the path of Marriage, to love and honor each other for as long as you both shall live?"

Horatio and Marisol answered, "I have."

The Father asked, "Are you prepared to accept children lovingly from God and to bring them up according to the law of Christ and his Church?"

Horatio and Marisol answered, "We do."

The father then looked at Horatio the father asked, "Do you Horatio Caine take, Marisol Delko to be you lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold in good times and bad, in sickness, and health, to forsake all others for as long as you both shall live?"

Horatio answered confidently, "I do."

Marisol smiled as the tears of happiness ran down her face. Horatio brought his hand up and wiped the tears away with his thumbs.

The father turned to Marisol and asked, "Do you Marisol Delko take, Horatio Caine, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold in good times and bad, in sickness, and health, to forsake all others for as long as you both shall live?"

With a beautiful smile, Marisol replied, "I do."

After the father blessed the rings, Horatio took her wedding band, and as he slowly slid it on to her, he said, "Marisol, receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Marisol did the same, "Horatio, receive this ring as a sign of my love and fidelity. In the name of the father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit."

Following the father's final blessing, "Horatio, you may now kiss your bride."

Horatio and Marisol smiled. Horatio stepped closer, opened the veil, and once he had it smoothed, he leaned in, placed his hands on her face, pulled her in, and gave a sweet kiss in which she briefly reciprocated. If Carmen hadn't been crying earlier, she indeed was crying now. Her eldest baby girl was now a married woman.

After a loving kiss when the father announced, "Now it is with great honor to present to you, "Mr. and Mrs. Horatio Caine."

Thus the recessional began their new lives as husband and wife.

A few hours later, the party was in full swing in the ballroom at the W Miami. Horatio and Marisol alternated between talking with guests, dancing, and getting a bite to eat or drink. During one of the dances, he had twirled her around and dipped her as he kissed her. He was ready for their wedding night and honeymoon. He had her back on two feet but had to catch her to steady her. He loved the gown she was wearing now, a long matte mesh dress with lace cap sleeves. It hugged her in all the right places. Horatio pulled her in and whispered, "I love how you looked beautiful in your ball gown wedding dress. But now I love how you look so sexy in this dress."

Marisol sensually whispered into his ear, "This way, you can help me get out of the dress easier. You know for our special night ahead. I can't wait to show the surprise I have in store for you, handsome."

Horatio instantly got the meaning. He had to do to fight the urge and prevent himself to just whisk his wife away from the venue to the honeymoon suite at the hotel and forget about the rest of the wedding reception.

They looked comfortable to the guests watching them if only they knew they were really talking about. While there had been a few of Marisol's relatives who had their doubts about her marrying Horatio once a few of them had chatted with him at the rehearsal dinner, and now they had witnessed their vows, their love for each other, and their closeness, they have no doubt left.

Horatio managed to keep his desires in check so that he and Marisol could fulfill the rest of the wedding traditions, including throwing of the garter and the bouquet in which Eric and Calleigh respectively caught. Then Horatio and Marisol were showered with birdseed as they made their way out of the ballroom and their honeymoon suite. They would be spending it in a luxurious room with all the trimmings champagne included just for tonight. As the elevator (empty the whole way up thankfully) to the twenty-fifth floor, Horatio and Marisol engaged in PDA unabashedly. He was filled with so much love for his beautiful wife when they reached their suite. All bets were off. He was going for it. Their kisses grew in intensity, and Marisol couldn't keep her hands off her amazingly handsome husband.

Before it got too hot and heavy to a point where they would shed their clothing prematurely, the elevator pinged as it arrived on the 25th floor. As soon as the elevator opened, Horatio took his wife by her hand and led her to a night that she would never soon forget.
