Days since Ruby had gone missing: Two

BGM:Mario's Home (Paper Mario)

"Mother, have you found a spot yet?" Whitley asked as they were staying at Mario's home until they had found a home. Willow was drinking some tea that Klein had given her.

"Trying to find the exact spot takes time, hon." Willow said with a smile. "We'll find a spot where we can build and live our new lives together."

It was then that Winter walked into the living room while having a towel over her hair. "You still trying to find a spot?"

"Yes." Willow nodded. "There are many places in Toad Town… we just need to find the right one."

"Hmm… I think I might have an idea. I did find this one spot yesterday that may work." Winter suggested.

"Oh?" Willow looked intrigued. "What do you have in mind?"

Winter smiled. "Come on, I'll show you." She said, helping her mother up as they walked off as Whitley and Klein walked off after them.

BGM: Toad Town (Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story)

Winter walked into Toad Town and walked into the square, making a right turn from the fountain and kept going until she reached an empty spot a few blocks away. "Here we go." She said as the space in question was big enough to hold a house, it had a fire hydrant at the corner and had two Toad houses next to it.

"Why is there an empty spot here? Why isn't there a house?" Willow wondered.

"From what I've learned, it was destroyed from one of Bowser's invasions and was burned to the ground. It was never rebuilt, but the other homes were." Winter explained.

"Hmm…" Willow rubbed her chin in thought. "Fascinating…"

"Huh, apparently this is on the corner of… Miyamoto Street and…" Whitley tilted his head. "I… eye… wott… a… Ave.? Is that how you pronounce it?"

"Something tells me these streets were named after good people." Klein said as a Toad walked by.

"Oh, you don't know the half of it." The Toad quietly said.

"Hmm…" Willow folded her arms. "Yes, this will do nicely. Now we just gotta figure out how to get this built." She mused.

"Well, we'll just have to tell Mario we found the perfect spot then." Winter said as they walked back to Mario's house.

Back at Mario's house…

"You found a spot already?" Mario asked in surprise.

"Yup." Willow nodded.

"Wow! Usually it takes a little longer than that." Mario chuckled. "So, find anyone who'd help you build the home?"

"We're in the process of finding one." Winter said and turned to Klein. "How's it going?"

"Mmph… these prices are ridiculous!" Klein grumbled. "Wrecking Crew Inc is a thousand coins an hour, Sumo Bro Housing is 980 coins an hour, Chargin' Chuck Builders are 1500 Coins an hour, Hammer Bro Construction are 2000 coins per hour… aaaargh! None of these are cheap!"

"Hmm…" Mario rubbed his chin in thought. "I might know a few people who might help with your situation." He said. "Meet me at the spot tomorrow morning."

"Tomorrow? Why tomorrow?" Whitley asked.

"It takes a while to get everything organized and prepped." Mario explained.

"Well, alright then. We'll look forward to it." Willow said.

The next morning

The Schnees were at the same spot, but Mario was nowhere to be seen. "Shouldn't Mario be here?" Whitley wondered.

"Maybe he overslept… I knew I should've knocked on his door." Winter mused.

"Wait, I see a truck!" Klein said as a moving truck pulled up in front of them.

"The… Super Mario Makers…?" Willow wondered aloud as the truck's engine stopped as Luigi peeked out of the window, wearing a builder's outfit.

"You need a house built?" He asked as he opened the door and hopped out, as did Mario, Blue Toad and Toadette, and even Parfait flew out.

"Ah, on the corner of Miyamoto and Iwata, nice pick!" Toadette smiled.

So that's how you pronounce it? Whitley thought.

"So uh… how much is this going to cost?" Winter asked.

"Don't you guys own a lot of money in the bank?" Blue Toad asked.

"Well, we do, but it's a bit tight considering we were robbed after my now ex-husband is sitting in jail." Willow explained.

"Ooooh, that makes sense."

"Wow, jailed and divorced. That's a double whammy for that old fart…" Toadette said with a chuckle. "Anyway, with us, it's free." She said while pulling out a table and some blue prints out. "So what are you looking at? An apartment? A house? Two story? Three story? A mansion?"

"I'd rather not have a mansion." Willow shook her head.

"Fair enough!" Toadette said. "How about a two story?"

"Yes, a two story will be perfect." Willow nodded.

"Allllrighty then!" Toadette grinned.

Mario let out a chuckle. "Well now, let's get to building!"

"Toge Toge!" Parfait smiled.

BGM: Title Theme - Super Mario Maker (Super Smash Bros for Wii U/3DS/Ultimate)

The Mario Bros pulled out a large wagon from the moving truck as they uncovered the items that they needed as they pulled out shovels and started digging the base of the house while Blue Toad came driving over with a Cement Mixer and poured the concrete just as Luigi finished digging. "Ack!" He yelped as he jumped out in time. "Phew…" He sighed in relief as the foundation was made, and then when it was fully set, the Bros and Toadette went right to work on building the exterior of the home, as the Schnees pitched in to help.

Blue Toad came back after putting the cement mixer away as he went into the truck, pulling out Fire and Ice Flowers from it, including a few Superball Flowers as he started planting them on the ground while Toadette made the sidewalk. Blue Toad then came out with a mailbox and planted it on the ground, but noticed it was a bit crooked as he adjusted it… only to have it fall on his head. "Ow!" He winced as Luigi and Parfait put it back up as Luigi hammered it to stick it in place.

Mario finished digging some holes in the front yard as Winter and Whitley came walking over while carrying a tree in their arms as they put the first tree down, then Willow and Klein put the other tree on the other side. The Mario Bros then hauled a tree over to the backyard while Toadette went to work on the fenceline. Mario hummed to himself as he went inside the house and started putting boards up. Blue Toad walked inside the house and pulled out tiles, quickly throwing them like shurikens as they were somehow placed neatly on the ground. He then walked back and came back with metal tiles as he walked over to the middle of the house.

"One spiral staircase coming up!" He said as he proceeded to build it while Klein and Willow helped him with putting down support beams on the spiral staircase. They then put up floorboards on the second floor and then put up more boards on top to start working on the second floor while outside, Winter pulled out a lawnmower and started mowing the lawn to make it look even nicer as she went to the backyard and saw that the Mario Bros were building a patio for the backyard.

"Hmm… something's missing…" Willow mused as she was looking at the exterior of the house as she looked at an Ice Flower as she picked it up and aimed it at the house, where it started shooting an icy blizzard at the house, where it gave it a nice icy blue color. "Perfect!" She smiled, as she noticed Blue Toad was frozen in ice. "Oops!" She said with a blush as she put the Ice Flower back as she picked up a hammer and hammered Blue Toad's icy prison.

"Brrr! Achoo!" Blue Toad sneezed. "Th-thanks! Ne-ne-next time, warn a guy!" He shivered.

"Sorry." Willow said in embarrassment as they walked off to the truck as Klein and Whitley started placing furniture in the house once the walls were put up. It was then that Weiss walked up after Toadette went to go find her.

"What's going on here?" Weiss asked.

"Building a home, sweetheart!" Willow responded. "You wanna help? It'll take your mind off of finding Ruby for a bit!"

Weiss smiled. "Sure!" She said as she went into the truck and then pulled out vases and flower pots as she went inside and placed them on some small tables while Luigi activated his Thunder Hand and welded the wiring together, turning on the lights in the house that were turned on.

"Nailed it!" Luigi grinned as he walked off while Toadette took Willow downstairs.

"Built a basement for ya! We even put a vault inside if you ever feel the need to store money!"

"Oh, you didn't have to go that far…" Willow said before smiling and hugging Toadette as she walked back upstairs while Toadette went to work on a closet that'll contain non-perishable food items and even a boiler that would heat the house up.

Once the interior was decorated and the walls were painted blue, the group was just finishing putting tiles on the roof as Weiss and Winter placed windows down… while Blue Toad came out with different items. "Let's test out the durability!" He said.

"The what?" Weiss turned her head as Blue Toad pulled out a cannon and shot at the house. "ACK!" Weiss jumped away as the cannonball hit the house, but it bounced off. "ARE YOU CRAZY?!"

"It's how we do things!" Blue Toad grinned as he then pulled out a Bill Blaster as several Bullet Bills hit the house, but the exterior held strong… no signs of damage! He then pulled out a Super Mushroom and threw it at a Bullet Bill, turning it into a Banzai Bill where it slammed into the house and exploded, but the house still stood strong.

"Hmm, I think I gave it extra protection with that Ice Flower…" Willow mused.

"I believe you did." Whitley nodded as Blue Toad threw down a trampoline as he took a running start and jumped up, landing on the roof right as Mario finished putting the last tile down. He then pulled out a Thwomp and tossed it up in the air as he jumped down right as the Thwomp slammed into the roof, but it didn't go crashing in. Instead, it slipped off and landed on the ground.

"One more test!" Blue Toad grinned, before noticing the Thwomp glaring at him. "Why are you-… uh oh." He said as he took off running as the Thwomp, now a sideways Thwomp, started chasing him. "AAAAAAH!"

"Is the durability test necessary?" Weiss asked.

"According to him, yes." Mario nodded as Luigi and Parfait started building the chimney while Winter and Whitley placed a grill on the patio, then they noticed Toadette putting the finishing touches on a hot tub and a swimming pool in the backyard while Klein put the finishing touches on the garden.

"You guys want me to do what?" Bowser asked as he was brought over by Blue Toad.

"Test the durability of the house!" Blue Toad grinned as Bowser looked at the Schnees who simply shrugged.

"Well, okay… if you say so." Bowser walked over and pulled back his fist, punching the house as hard as he could, but the walls refused to break. He then jumped back and breathed fire, but the house didn't even burn. He then took off and came back in his Koopa Clown Car, firing a massive cannonball at it, but the cannonball bounced off and landed on the ground, making a giant crater in the ground.

"Ooooh! I can put a fountain there!" Toadette grinned as she took off running as Bowser picked up the cannonball and put it away.

"Yay! It's Bowser-proof! Now you don't have to worry about it being destroyed by Bowser!" Blue Toad grinned.

"Yeah, well, your neighborhood isn't. I might go ahead and destroy it the next time I invade!" He said and then took off in his Clown Car. "See you chumps later!" He said and took off.

Blue Toad sweatdropped. "We really gotta update the housing in Toad Town…" He sighed while Toadette placed the fountain down with some help from Luigi, Weiss and Whitley. The fountain in question had a snowflake pouring water into the base of the fountain, then Weiss and Whitley high fived each other.

Sometime later

"Ta-dah! Your new home!" Toadette said as they saw the new house as Willow let out a smile.

"Yes, it's beautiful!" Willow smiled as they walked inside and took a look around. "I love it!" She smiled and pulled the Bros and Toads into a hug. "Thank you…"

"You're welcome!" Mario smiled.

"Hey! How about a celebratory barbecue? We have the grill out and everything!" Luigi suggested.

"That sounds delicious." Winter smiled as they walked to the patio.

One barbecue later

Willow was out on the balcony, just outside of her room as she was drinking out of a bottle. "Drinking again, mom?" Weiss asked as she walked over to her.

"No, this time it's Chuckola Cola." Willow responded. "Honestly, it tastes a little weird… but then again, after tasting alcohol for so long, soda and other beverages taste weird to you." She said. "Oh, I'll get used to it."

"Well, it's better than the alternative." Weiss chuckled and looked up at the stars. "The house is beautiful."

"It sure is." Willow smiled, looking out into the stars. "I think I can get used to a place like this. Better than Atlas."

"Yeah." Weiss smiled before letting out a sigh. "You think we'll ever find Ruby?"

"Oh, I have a feeling you will." Willow smiled. "She might be in the last place you looked. Who knows, she might be closer than you think."

"I hope so." Weiss said. "Once I find that dolt, I'm gonna tell her off… well, I might let Yang take the first crack."

"Weiss, mind if I make a request?"

BGM: Family (Super Mario Galaxy)

"I know your new home is Beacon, but… could you do your mother a favor and come visit often? I wouldn't mind if you slept here every once in a while."

"Are you sure?" Weiss asked.

"Honey… your father isn't here to tear us apart. There's no way I'm going to make the same mistakes as your father did." She said and then hugged her tightly. "I want us to be a whole family again… just please… don't shut us out like you did last time."

Weiss hugged her back, a tear rolling down her cheek. "I will, mom… I'll come visit you all the time."

"Thank you." Willow smiled, gently kissing her on the forehead. "This is our new lives, and I'm going to make sure I'm going to enjoy every last second of it."

"Ahem." A voice cleared their throat as they turned to see Klein peeking out of the door. "I hate to interrupt this moment, but I made cookies and milkshakes for you all."

"Oh, thank you Klein. We'll be downstairs shortly." Willow said as Klein nodded and walked away. "Just between you and me, Weiss… I wouldn't mind if your team had a few slumber parties here." She said, winking at her and then walking off.

Weiss giggled. "She's definitely looking a lot better." She said to herself as she looked up at the sky once more. "Ruby… I know you're out there. Just don't die on us until we find you…" She said before walking back in the house.

Helloooo! So, you might be wondering what this is about. Basically, it's a collection of stories and one-shots in the Super RWBY Universe. Side stories, if you will. It'll kinda be like Chibi... but not exactly like Chibi. This was suggested to be by Dragonknight SR on Discord. He first named the story "Super RWBY Anthology" but as we worked it out and thought of the many side stories, Yoshi came up with a better idea. Super RWBY Gaiden.

I think this is gonna be a lot of fun!
