2After Ren instructing them to take a break from infiltraiting Futaba's Palace, Ken decided to study at the diner Ren reccomended to him once. It was sort of nice having a piece of steak while doing some homework. After getting a good chunk of it done, Ken felt his phone going off, it was Ren. Ken quickly decided to take the call.
"Ren, is something wrong?" Ken asked.
"Not really, I'm in Kichijoji right now, there's this Bar called Sniper Penguin where you can play Darts Billiards, and I was wondering if you'd like to play a game of Darts." Ren explained.
Ken thought about it for a bit, it might do him some good to relax once in a while.
"Uh sure, give me a few minutes."
"Cool, thanks."
Finding the bar was easy enough, Ren was waiting outside of it for him. When they entered, Ren payed 800 Yen for the entrance fee.
"Ryuji explained the rules to me. Basically, we need to get our score to 0 within five turns. And, you get three dart throws" Ren explained.
Ken nodded to that, it sounded simple enough.
"So, what kind of game do you want?" Ren asked
"You know, i'm feeling adventurous, let's go with 501." Ken decided
"501? That's a bit higher than what Lady Ann went with." Morgana said
Ren nodded to Ken's request, and called the remaining members of the Phantom Thieves to Kichijoji, within minutes, Ann, Ryuji, Yusuke and Makoto were there to watch. Ren then set the machine to 501, and took the first turn, scoring a Bulls-eye, Triple 19, and a 1 all at once, droping the score to 433. Ren then high-fived Ken...just like the baton passing he saw in Kaneshiro's Palace and experienced in Futaba's Palace.
Ken took aim himself, scoring two Bulls-Eyes a triple 13, droping the score to 297, then Ken high-fived back to Ren.
Ren took aim this time, scoring three Bulls-Eyes, droping the score to 147, Ren then high-fived back to Ken. This was his last turn.
"Okay, last turn. Why are my hands sweating?" Ken asked to no one in particular.
"Ken, just relax, you got this." Ren said calmly. Ken could feel himself calming down, then he thanked Ren for that, he threw the darts, scoring two Bulls-Eyes a triple 15, bringing the score down to 2, and then High-fived Ren once more, Ren took aim at the single 2, it hit, ending the game at a score of
Ken felt something was different, as if the power he could pass with Baton Passing grew much higher
