Chapter 1
Harry Potter was a unique child. That was the consensus among everyone in Privet Drive, Little Whinging, Surrey. The boy was said to have been orphaned because of a car crash that killed his parents when he was just a year old. No one knew much about his parents, but Petunia Dursley, the boy's aunt, had told everyone that the boy's father had been a good for nothing drunk and his mother, a whore. She had also warned everyone that the boy was a delinquent. Seeing him in large clothes and looking scruffy all the time just reinforced that image.
This was a major lie, if anything he was intelligent for his age, but the Dursley's always did their best to either discourage, belittle, or torment him. Harry always knew he was different than everyone else, he encountered. The time he spent with his relatives were described as the worst, frequently wishing to either be dead like his parents or saved. Ever since he began living with his relatives, they would discuss his "freakishness", this tended to confuse the boy. The first time he asked them what they were talking about made them angry. That was when he vowed never to bring it up again, his Uncle Vernon had broken his arm and not fed him for four days.
Things became different as Harry began school. Strange things began happening around him and he was able to grasp what was going on around him. Whatever he studied or learned he could remember instantly, and this often-caused issues with his relatives. His cousin, Dudley, who many would consider a baby whale could not even perform the bare minimum in school. This led to them punishing Harry and accusing him of cheating. To his aunt and uncle there was no way he could do better than their "perfect" Dudley.
As he grew up, things only got worse. The boy was given an unending list of chores around the house. He had to cook, clean, weed the gardens, wash the dishes and was essentially a slave to his uncle, aunt, and cousin. He was given little food while his whale of a cousin could eat anything he wanted. The hand-me-down clothes were too big for him and was forced to sleep in a tiny cupboard under the stairs. He was not allowed to express any emotions, because it would make the Dursleys angry, and that usually meant pain and suffering would come his way. Harry mainly, felt anything but happiness and if he ever reveals that he was sad or angry. He knew that Uncle Vernon would be furious; and torment him.
Harry truly hated his relatives. Even as a four-year-old child, he never liked them. As time went on, he realized that strange things happened to him when he was angry or upset. That horrible teacher's hair had turned blue on the first day of school because he had not known his name; not really his fault! How was he supposed to know his name if the Dursleys did not tell him? Freak could hardly be his name; he was smart enough to know that. However, the strange occurrences, just like this one, never stopped.
His Aunt Petunia had shaved him nearly bald one day, his hair had surprisingly grown back the very next morning! Of course, Aunt Petunia had shrieked and shrieked for an hour and he was punished for it, but it made him very curious as there were several other similar instances over the next year. Then, today, during one of Dudley's routine Harry Hunting games, he had wished himself to escape from his tormentors and the next thing he knew, he had appeared on the roof of the school!
That had blown things way out of proportion.
Harry was five years old now. He dreaded to go back home, knowing what was going to happen. He did not know how he had appeared on the school roof, but it had triggered a major scene, bad enough for the Headmistress to get involved. There were no stairs to the roof, so the fire department had to be called to rescue him. Harry knew that he was in trouble. His heart thumped in his chest as he pondered the question. Did he have some strange power like the superheroes on the telly? Is that how he could do such things? His bones had always healed themselves the next day after every beating. Normally, he should have been covered from head to toe in bandages for months, but even after sustaining several injuries, he was still fine the next morning!
Harry took a deep, shaky breath and at once, he calmed down. He had always been able to control his emotions much better than anyone else. There was a focus on which he could draw from that helped him maintain an expressionless facade all the time. He did not know what it was, but perhaps it was his mystery force? He certainly was not going to complain. Maybe he should try to do something, like inflating objects. That would prove his theory about some arcane power.
If he survived tonight's beating, that is. Harry knew that there was no escaping this. Aunt Petunia had been called to the school because of the incident.
As soon as he entered the house, all he wanted to do was finish his chores quietly and get back to his cupboard as soon as possible. He could see Aunt Petunia seething in the background. He wanted to get back to the cupboard before his uncle could come home. Maybe then, he could avoid the beating that would follow, but he was not stupid enough to expect it. Once dinner was cooked, he immediately went to his cupboard. To be alone, relishing in the fact that it was quiet, he closed his eyes for a little while thinking of whatever happy thought he could think of.
As time went on whenever he would sleep, he dreams about a big white tiger, and he often began imagining it. This time his imagination took him to a jungle, a place he felt like he belonged. It was their he saw a group of tigers together laying near the water. As he continued to immerse himself in his imagination, one of the tigers started to go near him. Once it got close enough it did something unexpected!
"Hello little one, the tiger said in a tough male voice. I have been watching you for an awfully long time".
This shocked Harry as he was frozen in fear. This had never happened before as he would only watch them frolic around the jungle. "Are you talking to me"? Harry asked nervously.
"You are the only one here, aren't you? the tiger answered him. I have been trying to talk to you for a while now".
Harry was perplexed his mind desperately going into overdrive, to figure out what was happening.
It seemed like an eternity passed, so Harry asked "who are you and why have you been trying to communicate with me? I am not special?
The tiger looked at him with its green eyes for a moment. Then started explaining what was going on. "My name is Byakko, I am one of the four heavenly beasts that rules over the lands magical creatures. I have been trying to communicate with you because I see greatness in you. And yes, you are special, you are a wizard Harry".
Harry was gaping like a fish. "How can that be I'm not a wizard, I'm just Harry and what greatness have you seen"? he asked
Byakko just stood there completely flabbergasted, before he answered. "Well just Harry have you ever done things that you were afraid to admit, when your angry or scared" ?
Harry simply nodded. "You see Harry for centuries now people have been able to use and harness rare gifts. This is known as magic and it is strong in you" Byakko said happily.
Harry was about to ask what he was talking about when the front door was violently slammed shut and he heard a voice.
"BOY!"
Harry cringed as he knew what was about to come slowly opened the door of the cupboard. He stepped outside and entered the kitchen.
"Yes, Uncle Vernon?" he asked in his usual bland voice that lacked any form of expression or emotion. Harry truly had no love for the walrus sized man and was instantly nonplused at his angry uncle.
But that was the last thing he said before the obese man grabbed him by the throat. "What did I tell you about using your freakishness, boy?" he bellowed. "I won't have your craziness in my house, do you hear me? None of it! How did you end up on the roof?"
Harry tried to get away, but the grip was too tight. Just as he was about to pass out due to of lack of air, Vernon bodily threw him on the floor towards the other side of the room. Gasping and coughing, he wheezed out, "I swear, I don't know. One minute I was running and the next second, I was on the roof. It was like magic!"
That was the dreaded word. Petunia's eyes widened in horror and rage; she gasped. Vernon gave an almighty roar of rage, his face an angry shade of red.
Uncle Vernon came forward and pinned the boy to the ground, face down. Harry whimpered as the man's belt impacted his back. Why couldn't they just leave him alone?
"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS MAGIC!" screamed Uncle Vernon, his face puffed up with rage. He had promised himself that he would beat the freakishness out of the boy when they took him in and that was what he was going to do! He would not have such freaks living in his house. If he could not get rid of the boy, then he would get rid of the nonsense that was in the boy itself! After this punishment, maybe the freak would think twice before using his unnatural powers on good, hardworking people such as themselves.
Vernon grabbed the iron rod which was next to the fireplace. Harry's eyes widened in shock and fear, but the next thing he knew, he was screaming himself hoarse with tears streaming down his face as the rod impacted his legs, breaking them. Petunia shrieked in panic, but Vernon did not stop, his rage driving him over the edge. Harry was crying and screaming, begging his uncle to stop as the rod hit him repeatedly. Harry desperately, wished someone would help as he saw his Uncle aim the rod to his chest. Once it came down and impaled him, he started flicking on between conscious and unconscious.
When Vernon Dursley pulled the rod out of him, he realized that he had just killed the boy. Mr. Dursley being not the sharpest man grabbed the boy and dragged him to the cupboard and locked him in there.
Harry was barely conscious enough to take in what just happened, and with his last moments of breath he muttered, " Someone save me please".
"Hold on little one I'm taking you away from here", the familiar voice of Byakko answered just before he passed out.
The tiger emerged grabbed Hadrian's collar shirt in its teeth and apparated away.

After Byakko apparated Harry out of the cupboard with a silent crack, he took him to Potter Castle. It was there that they were met with some shocked house elves. No, one could apparate into the castle without permission, so how did a child and tiger get in?
The elves in the room recognized the magic that was coming from the tiger and immediately took a knee as a show of respect to the god.
Not wasting time "Someone help now this boy is dying and doesn't have long to live" Byakko ordered. The house elves sprang into action went to go help the boy, only when they got closer to him their eyes widened, they felt a familiar bond between master and servant.
"Master Hadrian", the elves cried and immediately called for the other to help and heal him. Three other elves popped next to them and transported Harry to the medical wing of the castle. While elves were not healers, they could use their brand of magic to heal wounds while they also used potions prepared by wizards to supplement it. Few of the elves used their magic to fix the broken bones and heal the spot where he was stabbed, while the others poured healing potions down Harry's throat. However, there was something else which the elves recognized, and it frightened them.
One of the house elves turned to Byakko and asked, "Do you know what this is my lord?", she asked the tiger as she was pointing to the scar.
"Yes", Byakko answered in a dangerous voice. "It is something extremely dangerous and should never have been created. Remove it from him at once." He ordered.
Because of the bond the elves shared with Harry, they could tell that he was playing host to a possession which resided in his scar. Knowing that such a thing had to be destroyed before it fully controlled their master, the elves surrounded the bed where Harry was sleeping as they chanted in their native tongue.
To them magic was simple, yet complex. It was meant to be infinite and harmonious at the same time. The magic of different species was different, and this was the advantage here. While it was impossible for wizards to destroy a soul piece without destroying the vessel, Elvin magic could do so. Harry started shaking and sweating as his scar heated up. As the chanting grew, the boy started thrashing and screaming in pain; his scar split open. A piercing scream rent the air as the soul piece was destroyed after being ejected from Harry's head. The boy slumped in his bed, exhausted.
The scar on his forehead which had always been red and inflamed began healing as the elves tended to it. It was now only a thin, white line, shaped like a lightning bolt. The Horcrux in Harry's scar was destroyed, but unfortunately, it was not a clean job. The house-elves thought Harry was being possessed, but he had been playing host to a soul piece. The two were slightly different in nature, so the ritual of the house-elves did not work as they had expected. There was an unexpected side effect that went unnoticed.
Byakko went over to them, assuming they were done, "will he be alright"? the god asked them all worriedly.
One of the elves nodded it's head and replied "He will need time to recover but young master will live. Byakko nodded and let out a breath. "My lord, my name is Daisy, I am the head house elf, she gave a respective bow.

Harry Potter opened his eyes, groaning softly. His body ached all over and he felt like he had been run over by a train. His eyes widened in panic when he saw that he was not at the Dursleys. He was in an unknown place. It was filled with several simple beds and the walls were painted white. Was he in a hospital?
"Good morning, little one," said a familiar voice.
Harry turned to see who was with him and noticed that it was Byakko.
"W-Where am I?" Harry whispered as he tried to get his volatile emotions under control. His hands and legs trembled as a feeling of dread overwhelmed him. Where was he? Memories of the encounter with Uncle Vernon flooded into his mind. He swallowed and asked hesitantly, "Am I dead?"
Byakko went to the young boy and answered, "No. Calm down, and I will explain what is going on. You are very much alive, though you were injured when you got here." Harry looked around to take in his surroundings.
"Where is here then?", he asked barely registering what was going on.
"This is the Potter family's ancestral home, your home", Byakko said looking at him. "How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, if a little sore, " said Harry but winced slightly; his body ached. Byakko nodded in understanding as he called out, "Daisy!"
Harry was startled when he saw a small creature appear in front of him. It had large ears and tennis-ball shaped eyes. "What can Daisy do for the white monarch?"
"Give young Hadrian here a pain relief potion, would you?"
The elf nodded as it popped away and brought a phial which contained a blue liquid.
"Drink this," Byakko instructed. "It will make the pain go away."
Harry had a thousand questions in his mind but decided to do as instructed. Just as he swallowed the concoction, he sighed in contentment as the pain receded.
"Good now come with us, it's time you met your true family", Byakko said soft but firmly. "Will you lead us to where his family portraits are at?" Byakko asked the elf.
"Yes, right away please follow me", Daisy led them out of the room proceeded to take them to the drawing room.
While they were walking down the hall, they were met by the rest of the house elves, upon seeing Hadrian and Byakko coming, they all immediately bowed and cried, "Welcome Home Master Hadrian", they all said happily.
To say that Hadrian was surprised would be an understatement as he did not how to make heads or tails of the situation, he was in. When he got over, he shocked he turned to one of the house elves.
"Um what are you guys and why did you call me master"? Harry asked them.
The house-elves were surprised, but it was Daisy who answered him "We are house elves and we have served the Potter family for generations." Harry nodded his understanding and let the elf continue explaining. "We serve in many magical households all around the world. As to why we call Master Hadrian master it is because he is the son of Master James and Mistress Lily."
When they arrived at the door of the drawing room, Daisy spoke "This is where your parents are at master Hadrian."
"Ok thank you and please stop calling me master, just call me Hadrian please." He told the house elf
"Yes, young Hadrian and I will tell the others the same", Daisy nodded and popped away.
"That's going to take some getting use too", he said as him in Byakko opened the door to enter the room, when they got inside, he was mesmerized by what he saw. Two gold portraits with two sets of people in each of them.
Harry slowly made his way to them as they were awestruck when seeing him. A woman who had the same green eyes as him and red hair was covering her mouth with her hand and silently crying. She stood next to a man that Hadrian noticed look exactly like him, but his eyes were brown, and he gave him a smile.
Finding his voiced he said "Mom? Dad? To which the two figures nodded.
His mom broke the silence and asked, "Hadrian is it you", she asked through her sobbing and with a glint of hope, to which Hadrian nodded. "My son! Oh, my precious son I never thought I see you again."
The man next to her put a comfortable arm around her shoulder and was equally happy to see his son once more. "I told you we would see him again Lily and my oh my he looks just like me, but he has your beautiful eyes." The man spoke.
"I've seen the both of you in my dreams and I cannot believe it's really you guys. I missed you both so much." Hadrian said with a few tears in his eyes.
James was about to say more when he heard someone clear his throat, looking to his right he noticed that his mother was glaring daggers at her husband, the elderly man shrinked a bit when he saw the look his wife and son were giving him, but spoke "You can ask the boy questions later, priorities first we need to lockdown the castle. Bucky!" The man called
With a pop the elf appeared, "What can Bucky do for master Charlus?", the elf asked
"Take my grandson to the Lord's study immediately," Charlus ordered the house elf. "and the rest of you come with me and I mean right now!" Once the occupants of the portrait were gone Bucky grabbed Hadrian's arm and placed a hand on Byakko and apparated directly to the study.

Once they were all in the study Hadrian was amazed by how amazing it looked. It was richly decorated in crimson, cream, and gold, with gold-framed paintings hanging on the walls. Even the marble flooring was gleaming under the lighting charms. He was led through a door and gasped when they entered the study. Several shelves filled with books were present, along with a large mahogany desk. Rich trinkets were placed all over; the fireplace was lit and the floor to ceiling windows on one side gave an outstanding view of the grounds outside the castle. A leather swirl chair was behind the desk.
"Come here and place your hand on this desk", Charlus said
Harry did as he was told. Just as he placed his hand there, he felt it stick to the wood. There was a tiny prick on his palm as it took a blood sample. When he removed his hand, a metallic disc appeared with several weird symbols on it.
"Now listen to my instructions very carefully, Harry. Do as I tell you and exactly as I tell you, understood?"
"Yes sir," Harry muttered nervously. For the next twenty minutes, Harry tapped the necessary runes on the plate, carefully following the directions of his ancestor. It would have taken much less time for an adult, but Harry was just a child. He did as instruct.
"Now, I want you to press your hand on the rune plate, close your eyes and feel the wards; when you are ready, say 'Lockdown'."
Harry pressed his hand to the rune plate as ordered and closed his eyes. He could suddenly feel something in his mind. The castle seemed to hum with him. It was sensations he had never felt before and he was excited.
"LOCKDOWN!"
Suddenly, the windows and doors of the castle all shut at once. Heavy shutters slammed down, locking the castle into a fortress. Ancient wards activated as they absorbed magic from the ley lines present underground. The castle hummed as the surrounding property around the structure too came under the wards. The water in the moat surrounding the castle began churning as it glowed, various enchantments taking effect.
"There," said Charlus in satisfaction. "Unless they are resorting to blood magic, no one would be able to track you. The wards will give you the best protection possible now. For now, this is enough."

In the dungeons of Hogwarts, a lone figure (Severus Snape) sat in his quarters near the fire drinking a glass of Old Ogden's Finest, while looking at two separate photos on the table. One was him when he was younger alongside him was a red headed girl named (Lily Evan) his first and only friend while growing up albeit before Hogwarts. Severus saw her as the sister he never had as she was one of the few people, he could be safe around. They were sitting near a pond laughing and talking about magic from what Severus remembered.
(Flashback)
A young Severus Snape was sitting next to a tree looking off into the distance trying to find some peace of mind and to get away from his parents who were arguing. The boy was in mismatch clothes as his parents did not have or bother to get him any real clothes that fit him properly! His father Tobias Snape was a muggle who was very bitter and abusive towards both his wife Eileen Snape (néeprince) a witch. Thus, making him a half-blood, she kept the truth from her husband, but told her son everything about the magical world, especially her family. Eileen was born to the wealthy Prince family and became the younger sister of Octavius Prince. Her Parents were strict purebloods who saw anything else as inferior, her brother Octavius was the only one that genuinely cared anything for her. Even after her time at Hogwarts she fell in love and married a muggle against her parents' wishes and was disowned for it. Octavius was beside himself being the older child he was forced to act a certain way or risk upsetting his parents.
Even after his sister was disowned by her parents and was told to stay away from her, he kept in contact with her and often visited her and Severus without his parent's knowledge. It did not matter that she married a muggle or had a half blood child he loved them both very dearly and swore he protect them both.
Severus often looked up to his Uncle as he taught him many things about the art of magic! The boy was enamored and incredibly happy to learn about magic even when he showed an aptitude for potions and defense against the dark arts.
While his Uncle could not always be around Severus would often sit alone near a tree to try and forget his parents arguing, when he was not lost in thought or taking in the fresh air he would often see two girls one with black hair and a neck like a giraffe and another with auburn hair. One day while at the park Lily the young red head was trying to show her older sister Petunia what she could do with a flower by making it bloom. Petunia was not to happy and started slapped the flower out of her hand and began insulting her making her cry and began walk away from her sister. Petunia screamed for little sister to comeback telling her she was going to tell mom that you are a 'freak'. As lily was heading toward a tree Severus emerged from behind it and told the older girl to 'leave' giving her an angry look and she began running away. Severus looked back at Lily with a soft smile and picked a flower and made it float towards her shocking the young girl.
"You're not the only one who can do that you know", a young Severus said softly
From that day they immediately got along and became the best of friends and often supported each other.
(Flashback end)
Putting down the picture Severus turned his head to the next picture it was an older version of himself with a woman with long brown hair and silver eyes. The young lady was his wife Selena Witherspoon a pureblood and was a member of Ravenclaw he loved her dearly. He loved her very dearly and they started dating each other during the second half of their sixth year and by the time they were twenty they got married. By then Severus had two masteries one in Potions and in DADA and was named the youngest Potions Master in the history of Magical Britain.
(Flashback)
The day of his wedding stood an adult Severus Snape wearing a three-piece tuxedo with his vest being green and a black robe made of silk over them. Severus could not be happier even if he tried; his best man was his best male friend Cyrus Greengrass a tall man with deep blue eyes and black hair who had come with his wife Ophelia Greengrass who was one of the bridesmaids. She had brown eyes and golden blond hair that reached the middle of her back but not today it was styled correctly and held in place her dress was white like the others and gave him a nod. In the crowd he noticed his Uncle Octavius wiping his eyes, a younger Lucius Malfoy and Narcissa Malfoy (née black) smiling comfortably at him. The one that got him the most was Lily Potter his childhood friend who had married James Potter his rival at school luckily, he or his entourage did not come. At the end of their fifth year an "Incident" occurred with him and the marauders, which ended up ruining their friendship, he tried to apologize but she would never accept. During their last year Selena had a talk with Lily and explained to her everything that what was going on and after much convincing and negotiating she managed to convince Lily to give Severus a second chance. While they would never be as close as they once were, they could be friends in secret if no one knew, and Severus quickly agreed. The next moment was probably the best moment of his life, the orchestra started and that was when he saw the women, he loved more than anything in the world being escorted by her father smiling at him. Once at the alter the ceremony began and after they were declared husband and wife everything felt right.
10 months later
However, every happy thing must come to an end and in Severus case it would start with his wife after a long day he returned home and found that it was destroyed in the inside he looked around saw that there has been a battle between his Uncle Octavius and a group of death eaters. The death eaters were dead and so was his beloved uncle Octavius, Severus knelt and prayed that it was not true try as though he could not find any signs of life in his uncle. Then he suddenly remembered that his wife was home as well and searched the whole house for her only to find her in their bedroom on the floor severely injured, she was laying in pool of blood, her left arm cut off and right gouged. Severus wasted no time in getting to her and picked up her form and started to cry his heart out praying that she was still alive to his surprise she started coughing and upon seeing him reached her remaining arm to his face.
With tears in his eyes he said, "stay with me Selena, you're going to be alright." Severus tried desperately.
"Severus we both know that I'll be dead soon, Selena told him softly. "Remember Severus I will love you always and thank you for being part of my life" Those were her last words before she closed her remaining eye and fell lifeless in his arms.
"No Selena stay with me please, please you can't leave me", it was at that moment that he realized he had just lost her and cradled her while sobbing his heart out.
July 31, 1981
While Severus was at Prince Manor, he became concerned as a sense of dread washed over telling him that something was wrong. He immediately went to go check on the Potters at Godric's Hallow to see if everything was alright. When he got to the house Severus was shaken as the house was in ruins and he knew what that meant. He immediately went into the house to search for any survivors, mentally cursing both the Headmaster and Dark lord with every fiber of his being when he made it to the staircase, he saw the form of a dead James Potter. While he hated Potter, Severus was careful to step around him and proceed upstairs only to see splinters of a door blasted off its hinges. There he saw the dead body of his sister in all but blood dead, and he broke down sobbing while holding onto her close to his chest. He sobbed for a few minutes and when he stopped closed her eyes and put her back down, then crying was heard, there he saw her son Hadrian crying in his crib trying to reach for his mommy. Severus went to the crib and picked up the small child but saw there was a lightning scar on his forehead.
"I am so sorry little one" Severus managed to get out, trying to soothe the 15-month year old
"Mommy? Daddy?" baby Harry spoke
"They're gone and I am so sorry child." Severus emotionally told him.
"Sev' 'rus", harry managed to get out. To which the man nodded
Severus was about to speak when he heard a pop not thinking properly, he placed Harry back in the crib "I'm sorry" was all he said before he apparated back home
(Flashback end)
Severus Snape a man who had been the Head of Slytherin House and Potions Master at Hogwarts for the last few years had made quite a reputation for himself most people would consider him to be either a cold cynical bat or greasy git! The only House that liked and respected him were the Slytherins. However, the truth was that he had only been doing what Albus had instructed him to do. To him he saw the old Headmaster as a manipulative old man, who only did what he wanted no matter who got hurt.
Speaking of the old, decrypted headmaster, his head appeared in the fireplace, "Severus please come to my office immediately", Albus ordered before leaving. "Mother bitch, what does he want now", Severus muttered before getting up and going to the headmaster's office.
