Vengeance Granted

Chapter 10: Avenger

A/N: Alright guys here's the last chapter, so firstly thanks for reading my story up to this point and I really appreciate that you stuck with it until the finish here!

I'll leave my final thoughts for the end, so for now enjoy Chapter 10!

The tense stand-off between the two fighters dragged on for what seemed like minutes, Frieza glaring at his opponent with a nervous grimace whilst Vegeta maintained a cocky smirk.

Then without so much as a sound Vegeta instantly appeared before Frieza, his fist embedded in the tyrant's stomach as a thunderous shock-wave booms out a second later.

Frieza just keels over in shock before he is suddenly grabbed by the throat, and Vegeta proceeds to lift him up off the ground and then swiftly driving him face first into the dirt at his feet.

As Frieza struggles to push himself up Vegeta grips the flailing tail of his adversary, and he then swings Frieza to smash him into the ground once again.

Vegeta continues to slam Frieza back and forth as if beating the dust out of an old rug, the evil emperor being turned into a mere rag doll as he is helpless to stop the violent bashing.

Frieza's beat-down comes to a stop when Vegeta swings him round in the air a few more times before hurling him into the distance, where he crashes into a pile of rubble with an explosion of debris.

After a few moments Frieza staggers to his feet and wipes some purple blood that was dripping from his mouth, before scowling back in the direction of Vegeta.

"That rotten Saiyan bastard! This new transformation of his is considerably more powerful than their previous red one!" he thought bitterly, seeing that Vegeta was still giving off an air of confidence as he came to land a short distance away from him.

"Next thing you know his hair will turn green and then he'll start rambling on about some legendary Saiyan nonsense!" he continued with an angered expression, feeling quite fed up with Saiyans and their habit of inexplicably gaining ridiculous new levels of power.

"What's the matter Frieza? Is my ascension into the realms of legend too much for you to handle?" Vegeta said arrogantly, enjoying the feeling of absolute power combined with his clear dominance over his former overlord.

Frieza narrows his eyes at that before chuckling slightly, unable to contain his amusement at seeing the irony of Vegeta's words considering his thoughts from just a moment ago.

"What's so funny? Do tell me the joke will you?" Vegeta sneered with a somewhat confused look, not taking kindly to his power being seemingly made a mockery of.

"Oh nothing really, I was merely thinking of how long it would take for you to go stroking your own ego is all!" Frieza said with an obnoxious grin, hoping to goad the Saiyan into anger with a jab at his pride.

Vegeta does not disappoint as he lunges in a fury, landing a vicious uppercut to Frieza and sending him flying upwards with the power of the blow.

Frieza sails through the air into the dark clouds above, with Vegeta swiftly chasing after his seemingly helpless prey.

As he approaches his opponent to land another ruthless attack, he is caught off guard when Frieza suddenly springs to life and twists in mid-air to unleash a gout of searing golden flames in his direction.

Vegeta doesn't have time to evade so he instead decides to power on through, the heat briefly being uncomfortable for him before he bursts through the attack to backhand a surprised Frieza.

As Frieza plummets to the ground Vegeta scowls down at his opponent for a brief moment, before he then readies himself to land a decisive blow.

Pulling his arms into a stance next to the left side of his head, Vegeta then grunts in exertion as he summons a purple ball of energy in his hands that rapidly expands in size, the power of the technique causing the clouds to shift and swirl around him.

Frieza manages to halt himself before he smashes into the ground yet again, and he then warily looks upwards whilst breathing heavily, his eyes going wide as he sees Vegeta gathering energy for a devastating attack.

"What is that insane monkey doing? Aiming an attack like that could blow up the whole planet!" Frieza thought in a slight panic, before the reality of what he had thought hits him.

"Wait, since when do I care if this mud ball gets obliterated? In fact this could be the advantage I need..." he mused whilst adopting a smirk, waiting to see if Vegeta will actually go through with his risky move.

Vegeta stares down at Frieza with a determined look of anger, knowing that he had to time this just right for his attack to work.

"GALIC GUN FIRE!" he then shouted out, the purple energy wave rocketing towards the ground where Frieza was still standing unwaveringly.

Frieza remains where he was until the last possible second before he suddenly sends his own energy wave off to the side, boosting his momentum and allowing him to narrowly dodge the oncoming attack.

As he continues to shoot away he glances over his shoulder smugly, fully expecting to see Vegeta's attack smashing into the Earth's surface and sealing the fate of this wretched world.

He is completely surprised however when he instead sees the energy wave curving round to chase after him, and Frieza notes with concern that it was rapidly gaining on him.

Frieza starts haphazardly dodging and weaving wildly through the air, hoping to outmaneuver the large, unwieldy attack with his speed.

Finally it blasts past him narrowly, knocking him back from its power as it careens off into the distance.

Frieza lets out a brief sigh of relief before to his shock he sees the wave once again curving around to make another attack run at him.

"Just what the hell does he think he'll achieve with that? It's clearly too large to actually hit me!" Frieza thought with disdain as he readied himself to once again dodge the clunky move.

Up in the air above Vegeta is maintaining his attack with steely concentration, the strain clear as he grits his teeth whilst channeling his willpower to maneuver the Galic Gun effectively.

He smirks however when he notices Frieza arrogantly readying himself for his oncoming attack, and he manages out a slight chuckle as he goes to deploy his surprise technique.

Frieza confidently watches as the Galic Gun closes in, but unlike last time something completely unexpected happens when it comes hurtling at him.

The attack suddenly splits into multiple smaller streams of energy, each one shooting out from the central wave in a star-like formation before all of them converge on Frieza from a multitude of angles.

Frieza is forced to dodge for his life as each beam shoots past with substantially increased speed, their previous limitations erased as they easily move to assault him again and again repeatedly.

Frieza begins to panic as the attacks just seem to get faster and faster, their speed increasing and not allowing him any room to escape as they practically trap him in a perpetual state of evasion.

"Come on Frieza, how long can you keep this up?" Vegeta muttered to himself in a mocking tone, though he was panting a bit as his attack continued to exact a substantial toll on him.

Eventually the Saiyan's eyes light up with excitement as he sees the opening he had been waiting for, and with an almighty yell he pushes his attacks to finish the evil tyrant once and for all.

Frieza stares with wide eyes as all of the beams come at him all at once, and from his constant dodging he is too tired to even attempt to evade as they simultaneously crash into him, causing a massive explosion to light up the sky with a bright purple glow.

Vegeta lets his arms fall to his sides in exhaustion, and he grins at the success of his attack before scowling slightly as he feels the strain on his body from that move.

"What's wrong with me? I shouldn't be this drained from an attack like that! I've performed it dozens of times in a row as mere practice!" he thought in confusion as he breathed heavily, taking the lull in the battle to regather himself.

As he wipes the sweat from his forehead he notices something strange about the appearance of his hand, and he gives it a closer look as he sees an almost opaque coloring to it.

He frowns at that in concern before he is brought out of his thoughts when his senses suddenly alert him to an attack from behind, and he swiftly dodges at the last second as a flame enveloped arm swipes right where his head had been a moment before.

The Saiyan prince then quickly boosts backwards as he turns to face a very badly wounded Frieza, who was in a truly sorry state.

The once fearsome emperor was now covered in purple blood with a gashes all over his body, his tail having been slightly blown off along with his left arm now hanging limply by his side at an awkward angle, being clearly broken.

Overall he looked on the verge of defeat and Vegeta snorts in amusement at how pathetic his former overlord now looked.

"Well Frieza I'm surprised, it looks like you survived that attack after all!" Vegeta said with an arrogant smirk, enjoying every moment of his inevitable victory over his hated adversary.

Frieza just gives him a deranged look of fury, seeming not quite coherent as he glares at the Saiyan with death written all over his face.

"You may have bested me once Vegeta, but I'll have the last laugh I swear it!" Frieza cried out with a crazed look, before he lunges at Vegeta with his Golden Flame Blade once again.

Vegeta manages to dodge his blows with ease, barely having to move much from his original position as Frieza swings wildly at him.

Vegeta just stares in disappointment as he grabs a hold of Frieza's arm with one hand, completely stopping the tyrant's attacks with little effort as he proceeds to smash Frieza in the face with his other fist, causing his opponent's head to snap backwards.

"It's over Frieza! You won't be laughing once I've sent you back to hell!" Vegeta said sternly as he charged a powerful energy attack at Frieza's chest, aiming it at point blank range with his free hand.

Frieza slowly pulls his head back to face Vegeta, and with a glance at his opponents chuckles a bit as he goes to relay an important revelation.

"Well then Vegeta, I suppose I'll be seeing you down there from how you look currently!" he said with a confident grin, nodding his head towards Vegeta who looks at him in confusion before he glances down curiously.

He is shocked when he sees the same odd opaqueness over the rest of his body that he had noticed on his hand, and Vegeta's eyes go wide as he looks up at the halo he hadn't noticed before, the realization dawning on him that he was in fact dead.

"Shit, I've only got a short amount of time left before I'm forced back into the other world!" Vegeta muttered in a concerned tone, as all of the drawbacks of being in the living world becoming clear to him now.

Using the brief distraction to his advantage Frieza wrenched his hand out of Vegeta's grasp, and the Saiyan quickly tries to rectify his mistake by unleashing the energy attack he had been charging at the tyrant.

Unfortunately Frieza was expecting this, and combined with the hasty deployment of the ki ball he dodges it just in the nick of time as it sails off to explode in the distance.

Vegeta growls as he readies to charge his opponent once again before his body is suddenly wracked by a painful tremor, forcing him to keel over as a feeling of numbness comes over him.

"What the hell? It feels as if my body has become sluggish all of a sudden!" Vegeta thought as a wave of dizziness hit him.

"No, this is not how it ends! I will not let Frieza win because of some stupid time limit placed on my presence here!" he continued determinedly as he shrugged off his growing feeling of weakness, rapidly launching himself at Frieza who looked quite shocked that he had recovered so quickly.

He then slams into the tyrant with a shoulder charge, bowling Frieza over with ease before he then follows up with a series of devastating strikes to his head and torso, aiming to batter the alien into submission so that there was little chance of him avoiding a finishing attack again.

Vegeta finishes off by grabbing Frieza on both sides of the head and pulling him into a brutal knee to the stomach, causing him to slump over before Vegeta violently throws him to the ground.

Frieza lies motionless for a few moments before his golden aura fades, the tyrant finally being unable to maintain his ultimate form for any longer as his body reverts back to the white and purple of his final form.

Smirking at seeing his opponent's now weakened state, Vegeta takes a few steps forward before he is reminded of his own condition as another tremor hits him, this one being much worse than the previous bout as he quickly drops to a knee from the strain.

"Come on, I have to push through this! It's nothing for a Super Saiyan like me, especially since I've reached godhood!" Vegeta growled to himself as he staggered back up, the blue aura surrounding him flickering slightly.

Frieza manages to gather himself at the same time as he sits back, and he glances over at the Saiyan with an angry grimace before he adopts a thrilled expression at what he sees.

The blue aura surrounding Vegeta quickly disperses right in front of him, the red Super Saiyan God replacing it before that too flickers down to a golden hue.

"Oh dear Vegeta, it seems you've almost run out of time haven't you?" Frieza said with a chuckle as he stood back up, watching as Vegeta was focusing intensely on maintaining his form.

"Give it up, you're through! You barely have enough energy to maintain your Super Saiyan state!" Frieza said confidently, readying himself to finish this battle as he forms an energy ball in his hand.

Vegeta just glares at Frieza with his fists clenched at his sides, the utter hatred in his look being all too obvious as he remains steadfast in a slightly crouched position.

After a few tense moments however he relaxes his stance, dropping back down to base form as he stands back up, the fierce look in his eyes fading as he lets his hands drop to his sides.

"You're right Frieza, my time is nearly up and I can't retain my full power for much longer," Vegeta said in an almost defeated tone as he glanced down at his practically see-through lower body.

Frieza's grin just gets even wider as he walks up closer to the Saiyan, his glee at his opponent's submission palpable in his reaction.

"My, what is this Vegeta? Have you finally come to accept your fate?" Frieza asked smugly, "That no matter how powerful you become I will always be superior?"

Vegeta just stares down at the ground before he closes his eyes, taking several deep breaths in as he seems to ignore Frieza's mocking.

Frieza raises his eyebrows at that before he shrugs and aims the ball of energy at the Saiyan Prince, Vegeta not reacting in the slightest as the light of the attack is barely inches from his face.

"Well I'll give you this at least Vegeta, you were much better than Goku in this fight," Frieza said in an almost complimentary tone, "Though in the end you will die just the same as him!"

Then with an evil smirk he unleashes the burst of deadly purple energy, the light obscuring Vegeta fully as the beam engulfs him as it blasts a trail into the distance.

When the attack finally ends Frieza is left panting from the attack, having put practically all of his remaining power into that final move as he then kneels down to stop his head spinning.

He looks up however at the trench that his attack had left and he chuckles at where Vegeta had met his end, the relief of finally being rid of the last proper opponent being music to his ears.

"I've done it, I've won! All those years of suffering and my vengeance is finally complete!" Frieza exclaimed with a mad laugh, the elation of his accomplishment hitting him all at once as he revels in his victory.

"Not yet Frieza! You have to get through me first!" came a voice from nearby, and Frieza's eyes widen in shock as he turns to see a very battered Goku staggering up to him.

"You! You should be dead, I gave you the beat down of a lifetime! I'm surprised you didn't bleed out from it!" Frieza snarled, infuriated that Goku was somehow still standing.

"You should know that a Saiyan wouldn't go down so easily!" Goku said with a small grin, one of his hands clutched to his side where his ribs had been shattered.

"Fine then I'll dispose of you and then leave this hellhole! I'm done with you and I'm most certainly done with this damned planet!" Frieza roared out as he went to form an energy attack, before seeing how little power he could actually gather.

Growling in frustration he then stalks towards Goku, thinking of all the ways he was going to beat and maim the stubborn Saiyan to death.

Goku just stares down the tyrant with an unfazed look, the smirk he was wearing never leaving him as he mentally counted how much time he needed before making his move.

As Frieza comes up to a short distance away Goku suddenly holds out his hand for Frieza to stop, and the emperor slows slightly as he narrows his eyes suspiciously at the Saiyan.

"If you're attempting to beg for mercy or something, I won't hear it! You're death is the last point on the to do list for me!" Frieza yelled as he took several more steps towards Goku.

"No, I was more wanting to ask you a question Frieza," Goku said calmly as Frieza halts properly this time, raising his eyebrows in confusion at that statement.

"So from what I gathered in our fight you could sense our energy now, correct?" Goku asked curiously, to which Frieza frowns before nodding cautiously.

"Okay then, so if you can sense energy then what are you sensing from me right now?" Goku asked again in a steady tone, as if he was discussing the weather or some other mundane topic.

Frieza's eyes widen from the bizarreness of the question, before he realizes that he hadn't been bothering to maintain his energy sensing since he had been lowered to his final form.

When he does so now however, to his shock he senses a massive power emanating from Goku's direction, and he gapes in shock as he notices the golden light seemingly illuminating from the Saiyan.

"How have you regained so much power? You're only in your base form, this is impossible!" Frieza cried out in a panic, assuming that Goku had somehow been holding out on his true power the entire time.

He is further bewildered when Goku lets out a chuckle as he scratches the back of his head nonchalantly.

"Oh no I'm completely beat! But there is someone else who has something to say to you..." Goku said with a grin, "Remember what I said about not beating Saiyan's so easily?"

Frieza stares in complete disbelief as he watches Goku place two fingers to his head before vanishing, and to his horror he sees that the massive power he had detected was not Goku at all, instead being the person who had been standing a short distance behind him the whole time.

With golden light emanating from his being, Vegeta charges a huge attack in his hands as bolts of electricity shoot off his body, his golden Super Saiyan aura illuminating the night sky above.

"I've been tricked! Played for a fool by these wretched monkeys again!" Frieza thought to himself desperately, as he realized that he lacked enough energy to even dodge the devastating blow.

Despite this he still attempts to fly away in the opposite direction as fast as he could manage, though from the panicked look on his face it was clear that he knew he was finished.

Vegeta growls in determination as he channels everything he had left into his finishing blow, his hands held outspread to his sides before he then pulls them together in front of his chest, the sheer power of the attack causing the ground around him to tremble violently.

"SAY GOODBYE FRIEZA... FINAL FLASH!" Vegeta then roars out as the immense beam of brilliant energy rockets out towards the tyrant, and he is only able to scream in a mixture of anger and despair before the attack completely engulfs his fleeing form.

"Curse you Vegeta!" was all Frieza could think as his body began burning up around him, the searing pain lasting a second or two before he is abruptly erased from existence in the burning force of ki.

The massive energy wave then skims off of the Earth's surface before it then flies off into outer space, blazing a meteor-like trail as it leaves the upper atmosphere.

Vegeta smiles briefly at his effort before he drops back down to his base from and promptly collapses to lie prone on the ground, clearly having used all of his remaining energy.

He is barely able to glance over as he sees Goku walking up to him, a big smile on his face as he crouches down to pat him on the back.

"That was awesome Vegeta, Frieza is history after that I just know it!" Goku said cheerfully as Vegeta just rolls his eyes in response.

"Shut up... you idiot... he'll come back otherwise..." Vegeta muttered with a half-hearted scowl, before giving up and relaxing his face again.

"Hmm, well if you say so! But man we did some real amazing teamwork out there don't you think?" Goku continued with excitement as Vegeta watched with an unimpressed look.

"Yeah, like when I used my instant transmission to pull you out of the way of Frieza's attack! And then when I distracted him, so you could gather enough energy to fire the Final Flash! That training we did together on Beerus's world really-"

"Kakarot that's enough!" Vegeta said sternly, causing Goku to quickly halt his rambling as he looked back down to his fellow Saiyan with concern.

"Kakarot... Frieza has taken everything from us... our family, our allies... everyone on this planet!" Vegeta said between heavy breaths, to which Goku's expression goes completely serious as he listens intently to Vegeta's words.

"You have to... promise me that you'll make this right... that everyone's sacrifice... will not be in vain!" Vegeta struggled to get out as he closed his eyes briefly, the toll on his other world form becoming too much.

Goku frowns at his ailing comrade, and he nods resolutely before standing up with a determined look on his face.

"Don't worry Vegeta, I'll bring them all back! In fact I already have an idea on how to do that!" Goku said reassuringly as he glanced over in the direction of the Dragon Balls.

He then looks back to see that Vegeta had disappeared, and Goku then looks up to the sky as if trying to get a view into the afterlife itself.

"I promise you Vegeta, you and everyone else will be back home in no time," Goku said resolutely as he then started hobbling over to the place where he had last seen the magical orbs.

As he stumbles from behind some ruins, he sees to his surprise that Jaco was sitting down next to both sets of Dragon Balls, and the purple alien jumps in fright as he draws his blaster.

"Oh, it's you Goku! So did you and Vegeta manage to nail that Frieza punk!" Jaco asked as he lowered his gun, to which Goku chuckles whilst giving him a thumbs up.

"Yep, Frieza is back where he belongs in hell! So now all we need to do is fix everything and put it all back to normal!" Goku said reassuringly as he then walked up to the Dragon Balls.

"Hmm, I wonder what would happen if I tried to summon both dragons at once?" Goku thought curiously as he rubbed his chin.

"Well only one way to find out!" he exclaimed as he then raised his hands into the air, "Shenron, Porunga, I summon you to make a wish!"

As he spoke the two sets of Dragon Balls began glowing in unison, the already dark night sky seemingly going darker as bolts of lightning began suddenly striking all around them.

Jaco backs away slightly in fear as Goku holds in place whilst waiting for the Dragons to awaken, the wind picking up and buffeting them with powerful gusts.

Suddenly two bolts of lightning shoot out from the twin sets of orange orbs, the forms of the immense beasts quickly appearing in the darkened sky above, though one was considerably larger than the other.

Porunga, the Dragon of Namek was enormous, his size being triple that of his younger counterpart Shenron, who could only stare up in curiosity at his older sibling.

"Porunga, at last we meet face to face. I am Shenron, though I suppose you already know that do you not?" Shenron said in his loud thunderous voice, leaving Goku scratching his head in confusion at being ignored whilst Jaco hid behind some rubble.

"Yes brother, I know of your name. I am glad that I can finally meet you myself," Porunga answered with an even more booming voice, but before he could continue he was interrupted by a call from below.

"Hey Porunga, Shenron! Sorry to interrupt your talk but I really need you guys to wish some of my friends back to life!" Goku shouted whilst cupping his hands around his mouth, to which Shenron and Porunga both glance down briefly before they share unimpressed looks

"You'd think they'd be more careful considering how many times we've brought them back by now," Porunga said in an exasperated tone, silently wondering how many times he'd have to revive these mortals until they'd just stay dead.

Shenron nods in understanding before he and Porunga both look back down at Goku.

"Very well, state your wishes and if it is within our power, we shall grant them!" the two Dragons said in unison, the absolute power of their commanding voices sending tremors through the Earth on which Goku was standing.

"Alright, now how to word this..." Goku said as he thought about what he should wish for first, before an idea came to him.

"Actually I was wondering, could you just fix everything in one go? Say if you combine your powers and reverse all of the damage that Frieza has done!" Goku curiously asked, catching both of the giant beasts off guard as they looked at each other dumbfounded.

"Hmm... an interesting request. It may be within our power to grant this wish with our combined strength... what do you say brother?" Porunga stated questioningly to Shenron, who thinks for a moment before looking back down at Goku.

"We should be capable of this... but you'll have to be specific. What is it that you want us to do?" Shenron asked, wanting nothing left to chance like last time.

"Okay well first bring back to life all of those sent to the afterlife by Frieza and his men!" Goku said as he counted the several requests on his fingers.

"And then fix all of the damage that was caused, like the buildings and other things that were caught up in the battle against them!" he continued with a thoughtful look.

"And if any people out in the universe suffered from Frieza's return, let their lives be restored to normal as well!" he finished, pausing as he wracked his brain for anything else.

"These are all things that we can do. If that is all then we will make it so!" Porunga said before his and Shenron's eyes start glowing red.

"Wait, one more thing! Can you make sure that whatever power Frieza wished for is taken away?" Goku adds hastily, hoping that it was one wish they wouldn't mind reversing.

"That can be done! I assure you that from now on, neither of us will grant such a powerful wish to those with evil in their hearts again!" Shenron replied determinedly before both Dragons exert their will upon the wishes of Goku, a burst of golden energy blasting out in all directions and restoring everything that had been destroyed by Frieza's most recent reign of terror.

All over the Earth and in several places in the universe, mysterious events and miracles happened as if by magic, causing alarm for some while pure elation for others.

"Where the hell did he go?" the alien said to his comrade, both wearing the Frieza force uniform as they stand in front of an empty jail cell.

"I don't know... one second he was there... and the next he was gone," the other alien replied with a confused look, not seeming to be the brightest of individuals.

"That can't be right he was just an old Namekian! He shouldn't have the power to escape our prison!" the first alien screeched out in panic, thinking of how Lord Frieza himself had tasked them with keeping him alive and locked up.

"Lord Frieza's going to murder us both, I just know it!" he continued shouting, turning to flee and leaving the other soldier scratching his head with a moronic expression.

Far away on a green planet of many trees and plateaus, a group of familiar beings stood around their newly restored village, all of them appearing surprised before they soon adopt joyful expressions at seeing their brethren having all been returned to their home.

"Grand Elder Moori, you have returned to us safe and sound!" a Namekian warrior cried out as he caught sight of their revered elder, who was looking around in surprise at being suddenly transported back to Namek out of nowhere.

The village soon crowds around him whilst cheering, the young Namekian children jumping happily at the arrival of their cherished kinsman.

"It seems so, and you have all been brought back to life as well. This is truly joyful news!" Moori said with a warm smile, seeing that all the people he had watched be killed by Frieza were surrounding him alive and well.

"No doubt this is the work of the Dragon Balls! Our friends from Earth have saved us once again!" one of the others cried out, and the Namekian's all raised their eyes to the sky as they rejoiced at the efforts of their allies from across the stars.

Back on Earth in North City, a man of the same appearance sat up in the middle of the street, his eyes darting around in shock at all of the buildings that he recalled had been nothing but rubble when he had seen them last.

"I've been revived! Goku and Vegeta must have pulled through for us after all!" Piccolo thought as he stood up, flexing his arms as he felt his strength now back at full.

He quickly frowns however as he remembers who had sent him to the other world in the first place, and he growls in anger at being tricked by the cunning alien officer.

"I was a fool to let my guard down around him! I'll have to do much better from now on, no more mistakes!" he continued with a determined look, ignoring the humans who were pointing at him with cries of panic.

Piccolo then boosts off into the sky as the people watch in fear, wondering if he was another alien here to kill them before they promptly run in terror just to be safe.

Elsewhere in Satan City, a large man with an afro was bawling his eyes out as he held a rather bewildered young woman in a big hug.

"Videl! I thought you were a goner, I really thought you weren't coming back!" Hercule cried out as tears flew out like a sprinkler as he tightly held onto his daughter.

"Come on dad it's okay! I'm fine now so there's no need to be sad about it," Videl said with a somewhat awkward smile, patting her father on the back comfortingly as she found his actions a little bit overdramatic.

And in Central city, just a block or so from where the Dragons were currently summoned Tien and Yamcha were looking at each other with wide grins.

"Oh yeah, we won! Frieza shouldn't have messed with us!" Yamcha exclaimed with a cocky expression as he punched the air, whilst Tien nodded in agreement.

As his friends were celebrating however, Krillin was nervously looking around for Eighteen, feeling worried at not seeing her next to him when he had come back.

As he heads in the direction where the Dragons are currently he comes across Gohan, Goten and Trunks walking over as well, the latter two bickering over who's fault it was for them getting beaten again.

"Hey Krillin, if you're looking for Eighteen she's back over that way," Gohan said to Krillin as he notes his friend's concerned look, correctly guessing what had him so worried as he pointed behind him.

"And you might need to talk to her a bit, she seemed quite upset when I tried to ask her what happened from before," Gohan added with a frown, to which Krillin nods in thanks as he then hurries off in the direction that was motioned to.

He soon finds his wife sitting alone on a park bench, her head turned downwards with slumped shoulders, obscuring her face and giving off a truly miserable appearance.

Krillin slowly walks up before sitting next to her, placing an arm around Eighteen's shoulders as she subconsciously leans into him, though she still doesn't look up from where her eyes were fixed on the ground.

Krillin soon notices that she was trembling slightly, and when he pulls his head down to her level he sees the pain and sadness clear in her expression.

He quickly responds by pulling her into a comforting hug, allowing her to rest her head against his shoulder as he feels her hands wrap around his waist firmly before she begins to speak quietly.

"I was completely useless Krillin, I couldn't protect you like I promised and all I could do was watch as you died right in front of me," Eighteen said shakily, her voice choking up from the emotions that she had bottled up in response to that awful experience.

"Look, it's not your fault Eighteen, you did the best that you could and all that matters is that we're both here now, okay?" Krillin replied reassuringly, knowing how much something like this would be affecting her and that she desperately needed his support right now.

Eighteen doesn't respond as she instead lets her pent up emotions out fully, her muffled sobs being barely audible over Krillin's continued words of comfort.

Back over by the two enormous Dragons, Goku and Jaco stare around in awe at the newly rebuilt Central City all around them, as many people who had died in the initial attacks walk around with looks of disbelief at being alive once again.

Goku grins as he sees Vegeta walk out from around a corner nearby, and he waves at his fellow Saiyan who just nods in response with a smirk.

"Hey Goku! Jaco, over here!" came a voice from nearby, and the two in question look over to see Bulma leaping out from Jaco's ship to come running towards them.

"Oh my gosh Goku you're really badly hurt! We'll have to get you to Dende for some healing right away!" Bulma said in a concerned tone before she spots Vegeta coming over.

"And here's my big hero! Did you give Frieza a good beat-down for me?" she said as she ran up to give her husband a hug, smiling happily as she planted a kiss on his cheek.

"Dammit woman, don't make a scene in front of all these people!" Vegeta growled, though Bulma could tell he was pleased to see her after everything they had just been through.

"We have granted your wish. It is time for us to bid you farewell!" Porunga stated, everyone looking back up at the twin Dragons that were still hovering in the sky above.

"Thanks for your help guys! You really are lifesavers!" Goku shouted cheerfully as the Dragon Balls finally dispersed, the Earth set spreading out and shooting across the planet whilst the Namekian ones moved as a group into space back to New Namek.

Goku then looked around to his friends with a grin as he enjoys their hard earned victory, feeling immense relief that things were being restored.

Vegeta catches on to Goku's joy at their accomplishment, and the Saiyan Prince couldn't help but throw a jab at his rival for his part in their win.

"What are you smiling at clown? After all, I am the one who beat Frieza this time!" Vegeta then stated with a cocky smirk, showing his pride at getting the one up on Goku for once.

"Yeah no kidding! You really surprised me with that Super Saiyan Blue form, I had no idea we could reach another level like that!" Goku responded excitedly, looking like a kid who was about to get a new toy.

"And what, you think I'm going to teach you or something? Reach it on your own fool!" Vegeta said sternly whilst folding his arms, earning him a disappointed pout from his fellow Saiyan.

"Alright you two enough of that, we need to get Goku to Dende so that he can be healed!" Bulma said as she grabbed a hold of her close friend and began guiding him off to the side.

Jaco and Vegeta watch them go for a bit before the Galactic Patrolman lets out a sigh, wiping his forehead and thanking his lucky stars that this ordeal was over.

"Well then, I suppose I'll have to call my superiors and get some help to round up the remaining Frieza force hooligans!" Jaco said as he began to march off stoically, before wincing in pain from his injuries that he had forgotten about.

"Oww... that was a bit painful. Uh, hey Bulma, could I get a bit of healing too please?" he continued as he limped over to where Bulma and Goku were.

Vegeta remains in place however as he quietly stares up into the sky, seemingly deep in thought as the full weight of what had just transpired hits him.

"I finally did it! I beat that bastard after all of this time!" he thought to himself with a satisfied smirk, thinking of all of the years he had spent under the rule of Frieza.

"I've avenged the death of my father, my home world and my race, as a Saiyan who has ascended into godhood no less!" he continued, the pride he felt swelling within him.

Chuckling to himself Vegeta stands there for a few more moments to savor his victory, before he then makes his way over to where his wife was now helping Goku into Jaco's ship, as Gohan and the others were walking up to them with a wave of greeting.

In another place far from anybody in the living world, three strange looking individuals were all hanging from strange cocoon looking objects that were attached to a large tree surrounded by fields of bright flowers.

"It's so awesome to see you back Frieza! And you've brought some friends to join in on the fun!" a cheerful looking fairy cried in excitement, staring happily at the middle alien amongst the three.

Frieza just growls in bitter frustration as Tagoma and Shisami share bewildered looks at the fate they now find themselves in.

"Alright then guys, it's time for today's round of awesome activities! Don't forget to smile when you're having fun!" the fairy continued in a joyful tone, blissfully unaware of the trio of murderous aliens who would like nothing better than to slaughter everything in this plane of the afterlife.

As the many fairies and stuffed animals pranced around with merry laughter, Frieza's glare follows them as they play all sorts of games he was unfortunately all too familiar with.

"DAMN YOU ALL!" he then abruptly yelled out, his cry of utter hatred echoing throughout the dimension as he thrashes around in his bonds out of sheer fury.

A/N: So there you have it, Vengeance Granted is finished! And I have to say it's a relief to finally get it done, as I was honestly really struggling at the end there to wrap things up!

For my final thoughts on the story, I really liked how it turned out and I think I've done the Resurrection F plot line some justice by fixing the travesty that it was originally, as well as adding some cool new things into the mix as well.

I think my goal of involving all of the characters worked out quite well, and even though Goku and Vegeta didn't feature as prominently as I would have liked, due to the plot there was only so much I could do with them at Beerus's place anyway. In saying that though, this story was about Frieza first and foremost, and I like to think that I gave him the vengeance arc that he deserved, and it was very fun to write him as the intelligent, ruthless villain he is well known for.

Overall I'm quite pleased with the story, and although it didn't do as well as I thought it would in terms of statistics, I appreciate each of your reviews, favorites and follows all the same, so thank you to all of those who lent me their support and feedback!

For now though I think that I'll take a little break from writing, but I do have plans for other stories in the future, so if you're interested you can check out my profile for a list of each one that's in the works!

Anyway that's all from me, so good reading, thanks Literal.
