In your eyes…

"Oh?" Emi just stared between Maou and Chiho, as they were holding hands together, which made it clear they were together.

"I am really happy for you both"

Hurt, that's what he could see in her eyes as she says those words, shes trying to be strong, putting a brave face, Maou could see that, he knows shes lying, shes smiling through the pain, trying to be happy, like she always does it but he looks the other way, he ignores it, he pretended to be completely oblivious, as if he was in the dark, why? Well he loves Emilia too much, he cant see her like this, he pretends because his heart cant take looking at her like this, she loves him and he loves her; whats stopping them? Well, its Emi and her choice, she always sacrifices herself for others happiness, in this case, its Chiho.

Emi spoke to Maou way ahead all of this, they confessed to each-other but Emi looked told him, its wrong, their feelings for each-other, she said he should be with Chiho, as shes always held feelings for Maou, much longer and its not fair to Chiho. Maou just looked at Emi, he didn't like what she was saying but no matter how much he denies it, he knows its true but its always one sided. With this conversation they went their separate ways, both sacrificing their happiness for Chiho.

Now that he's actually together with Chiho, Emi is still on his mind, where ever he goes, what ever he does, shes on his mind. Its been months since he's been with Chiho, he thought that he'd develop a bond with her, but no, he just isn't feeling it, the feeling when he's with Emi, that feeling is genuine, he feels complete but right now he feels nothing, he doesn't want that, he'd honestly rather be with Emi.

As he's walking, busy in his thoughts, he bumped into someone;

"I am sorry, I-" he looked up to see who he bumped in to, turns out its the person whose captivated his mind and heart; Emi. Their eyes met, Maou was lost and mesmerized, he could feel all those things, the joy, the warmth, the satisfaction, feelings he hasn't felt in a very long time and most of all he felt complete. He wasn't about to let them go, not now not ever!

Before Emi could say anything, Maou grabbed her hand and took her somewhere where they can talk properly but obviously she was showing him some resistant.

"Maou! What on earth, Let go of my hand!"

But he kept walking with her, and bought her to a secluded place.

He turned to her and said, "Emi, I cant take it!"

"What are you talking about?!" She was confused, what was he on about?

He kept is hands on her shoulders, and looked at her to show how serious he was, how he meant every word he was going to say; " I cant take it! I cant be together with Chiho, I don't love her, I love you! I hate it, i'd rather be with you, I don't want to be with her, she doesn't make me feel anything, but when I am with you, I cant explain but I feel happy and just right!"

"I honestly tried to keep up the relationship witj Chiho, I tried really tried, but its fake to me, all of it, I cant take it! I want to be with you!"

"That day, when Chiho and me got together, and you said you are happy for us, I knew how much in pain you were, when you said it, your eyes said it all. You did it for her, I understand that, and at that time I knew you were hurting and I didn't say anything, I am ashamed of it! I should've put a stop to this the minute I saw that but I don't know the part of me went along with it and I thought I would develop feelings for her but I couldn't! You were always on my mind"

Emi was quietly listening to him, her eyes widen at Maou being so- she has no words, to be honest, she was really happy, she felt same, she couldn't move on, she loved him too much.

"Emi are you listening?! I love you! I am sorry I didn't do this sooner- coming to you I-"

He didn't get to finish that sentence, as Emi kissed him.

This took Maou by surprise but he started to respond, and that kiss felt so right, he hasn't felt like that in months, sure He and Chiho used to kiss but he felt empty, with this kiss he knew, Emi is definitely the one he wanted to be with.

Emi pulled out slowly, she felt happy and maou could see it in her eyes, how she felt.

"But what about Chiho? This is wro-"

"Emi, ill speak to her, and what are you talking about? this is by far the most right thing we have probably done!"
