3rd Person POV:
For a while both girls just stared at each other, not uttering any sound.
Tiffany was intrigued by this girl, her eyes were blue and almost identical to her own eye color, Her hair was short and black, she wore dark clothing and wore *Gasp* red shoes! But the most interesting thing about her was her skin! It was so pale! "Damn, and people say my skin is pale," Tiffany thought. While it was true she had pale skin, but it was nowhere near to the point of looking like a sheet of paper!
The silence up to this point was getting unbearably awkward so Tiffany decided to say something. "Uh ... Hi," Tiffany said at last breaking the unbearable silence. The girl was caught off guard as she continued looking at her.
"...Hi," she said back softly "Are you really human?"
'What?' Tiffany thought 'what kind of stupid question is that?'
"Well duh of course I am"
"Are you going to steal my candy?"
Tiffany cocked an eyebrow "Do you have Reese's Pieces?" she challenged
"N-No"
"Then no" she deadpanned
"Are you gonna force-feed my garlic bread?"
"Ok let me ask you a question now, why are you asking me really weird questions?"
"Because my dad said those are things humans do to us" What type of father tells their own daughter that? Must be the over-protective type.
"Why are you saying that like you're not human?"
"Because I'm not" the girl then bared her teeth showing off a sharp pair of canines. Tiffany's eyes widened as she put the pieces together the dark clothing, her gothic vibe, her very pale skin, and her teeth …
"Are you a ... Vampire?"
"Yes"
Tiffany was in complete shock, no way! All the legends are true then! She started the motion of pacing back and forth only to once again feel pain on her hip." Oww!" she moaned as she started to fall thankfully the vampire caught her before that happened. She then lifted her up in a bridal fashion and laid her back down on the bed before taking a step back.
"You need to rest human," she said with concern in her eyes "That wound was quite severe, you can't risk it reopening". Tiffany very slowly sat up with her back on the headboard and nodded, then she realized she had not introduced herself yet.
"Well my name is Tiffany Allison, you can call me Ally for short," she said with a small smile.
The vampire smiled back "Well nice to meet you, Tiffany, my name is Mavis, I've never met a human before."
"Hey you know all those things you asked me, I would never actually do to you, so don't worry"
The vamp- "Mavis" grabbed a nearby chair and sat by her bedside. "How are you feeling?" she asked
"I'm much better now thanks, how long was I out?"
"Around 12 hours give or take"
"Not that I'm not grateful that you saved me. But why? If you thought humans are … weird"
"Because when I saw you lying there in pain I didn't see what my dad described to me, you just looked like any other monster who needed help. Who were those humans anyway?"
Tiffany winced at the mention of her "Friends", although she knew she needed to answer that question at some point. "Well we were just traveling around Europe and we were about to leave back to the United States" Tiffany took a shaky breath before continuing "Then they drove me out to that forest then sh- she ..." Tiffany then felt a gentle embrace from the young vampire.
"Shh you don't need to say anymore" Mavis felt her blood boil, what kind of ... friends do that? Lure their own out to kill them. Her rage dialed down after she felt Tiffany return her embrace. After a short while, they broke the light embrace.
"It's alright, I'm alive so technically I got the last laugh" Ally said trying to lighten the mood. "Can I ask you something?"
Mavis pulled away and sat back in her chair "sure anything"
"What is this place?"
"This place is Hotel Transylvania, my dad had it built centuries ago in order for us monsters to have a place to relax and be ourselves away from dangers of humankind." Mavis spread her arms out as she explained.
'A hotel for monsters huh?' Tiffany thought 'sounds like the plot of a movie or tv show or something'
"However, I don't think I can show you around you see this place has a ban on any human guests. So sorry I need to keep you in here until you get better."
Damn, that's not what she wanted to hear. But then again it is quite a small price to pay for survival. Tiffany let out a huff "Fine" and then realized she had no clothes on "Uhh, Where are my clothes?"
A deep blush falls over Mavis's face as she had to explain why she was only in her underwear "Oh uh they were covered in blood so they need to be washed, I didn't want you to wear them, so in the meantime, since you're just about as tall as me you can borrow some of mine"
"Oh, uh only if you're okay with it"
"Of course! I've got some spares. Oh before I forget, I found this in your pocket figured you would want it back" Mavis then pulled out her phone. Tiffany took it and turned it on, the battery was at 92% and there was no signal. She quickly turned on Airplane Mode and battery saver mode in order to extend the battery life as much as possible. She may not be able to call or text with it, but she still did have Spotify Premium and a metric ton of songs.
"I'll go get some clothes for you, is there anything else you need?" Mavis asked with a smile
"A glass of water would be nice, thanks" Tiffany answered. Mavis nodded as she exited the room. Ally just fell back down on the bed and laughed a little. She was in a hotel for monsters, humans are banned from entering the hotel and she's made friends with a flipping vampire. She just shook her head "My life is suddenly more interesting, but for now Hotel Transylvania is my little Hideaway"
