chapter 2: Quidditch trials

"I'm sorry!" cried Harry. "I'm sorry, Angelina, okay! Oh, by the way, this is Rainbow Dash. She'd like to try out for the Quidditch team. Reserve."

Angelina Johnson smiled at Rainbow Dash. "So you're the new kid. Nice to meet you."

I grinned. "I've been looking forward to playing Quidditch since the age of 7."

"Why didn't you start at 11?" asked Katie Bell.

"Because I am from America," I confessed. "I have 6 great friends."

"Better head off to my detention," said Harry. "Tell me how it goes, will you guys?"

"Sure," said Ron.

Ron and I walked to the Quidditch pitch together.

"So, Dash." said Ron. "Why are you here?"

I sighed. "It's a long story, but basically, my friends and I were involved in a car accident and... and we got separated into different multiverses."

"You and Harry seem to get along," said Ron. "I think he likes you."

I snorted. "Likes, me? I'm gay."

I looked out of the window of Dolores Umbridge's window. I saw my best friends having fun, I wished I was there. I put my head down and carried on writing, I must not tell lies.

"Mr Potter, same time tomorrow." said a sickly sweet voice.

I jumped up and grabbed my bag and ran to the Gryffindor common room.

I was greeted with noise. "HARRY!" yelled Ron. "I'M KEEPER AND DASHIE IS RESERVE! LET'S PARTY!"

I grinned and plonked myself next to Hermione, who passed me some butterbeer. "Cheers," said Hermione.

"Cheers," I said.
