Hi! How'd you like the prologue? You want some more? Here you go! By the way, if you don't know any of the lore in Pokémon Sun, then you won't get this at ALL. So if you don't know any of the lore, and you don't want to look it up, then GO. SHOO. You have no business reading this. However, if you know all of the lore in Pokemon Sun, then go right ahead. Read on, fellow fan. :D

They had done it. Plumenaria and Blue had gone through the portal, zipped past Grimmel, and towards freedom. Third time's the charm, she thought grinning. "Blue…" she whispered. "We…We did it."

"Where do you think we are Ria?" asked Blue (Ria was his nickname for her). Ria thought for a moment. Wherever they were, it certainly wasn't ordinary. There were scattered portals everywhere, and the rocks were…floating? "I've read about this place…I think it's called the inbetween."

"You realize how many books have used that term before, right?"

"Yeah, I know. But it's not like I can undo their lack of creativity."

"…"

"…"

"Ria…"

"Yeah?"

"What do you think Grimmel was training us for?"

"Hm…I don't know, but I heard him talking to someone, and there were lots of 'domination of all worlds' involved."

"What if we were just the start? What if he was trying to start a giant army of soldiers like you and me in order to take over all the known worlds?"

"Well, we took that away from him didn't we?"

"I guess…"

They flew I silence for a while, and then something terrible happened. An enormous tentacle threw itself out at Plumenaria and grabbed her. "Ria!" Blue tried to lunge for her, but got knocked to the side by another tentacle. "BLUE!" Ria cried. "NO!"

Apparently Plumenaria had fainted, because she came to in the strangest place she had ever seen. It looked as if she was under water… but somehow, she wasn't. There were also these flying white things flying everywhere…They looked oddly familiar… Then she remembered. Of course, she thought. Ria had remembered them from a video game she played before Grimmel kidnapped her. What was it called…? Pokémon Sun, she thought. This is Ultra Deep Sea. And these must be nihilego. But why are they here? They aren't supposed to be real… Ria looked around and saw the thing that had grabbed her. It looked very similar to Lusamine's final form, except with no creepy lady in it. It said, "Are you okay?" Ria was extremely upset at this. "Am I okay? AM I OKAY?! You grab me, knock my friend off to the side, and you have the audacity to ask me if I'm OKAY?!" Ria stopped to catch her breath. "I'm sorry…" It said. "I was trying to help you. I saw that scary human chasing you, and I knew you wouldn't be able survive by yourselves in the Inbetween, so I tried to bring you here. Although in retrospect, I should have talked to you first. I'm sorry…" Plumenaria sighed. She really couldn't be mad at it for trying to help them. "Okay… Sorry for yelling at you."

"It's alright." Ria looked at the…thing. "What are you anyway?" she asked. "Why, I'm a nihilego." Ria paused for a moment. "I noticed you look a lot different from the rest of them. Has it always been this way?"

"OhHeavens, no. I used to be an ordinary nihilego, like everyone else. Well, not exactly. I was a bit stronger than normal. Legends say that if a nihilego is strong enough, they can get to this form permanently, without having to get a host." Suddenly, all the nihilego shuddered. "Let me guess. You guys don't really like controlling people's minds, do you?" "No," said a smaller nihilego. "You have to poison them and then they get all weird and loopy and on top of that it looks like you're EATING THEIR HEAD."

"Nyla, I told you to stay home when these things happen."

"Aww, but Mama, I wanted to see the human," It whined. Can I still call myself a human? Plumenaria thought. With all the experiments Grimmel did on her, she didn't know anymore. "I won't hurt her," Ria promised. The abnormally large nihilego paused. "Alright," it said. BIG MISTAKE. The little nihilego named Nyla bombarded her with questions like, "Is the sky blue where you come from?" and "What's the best thing you've ever eaten?" also "Can you float upside down?" "Actually, I can." Nyla gasped. It was adorable. "You can fly?!" Ria then demonstrated a complicated series of tricks (Well, complicated when you're flying). She did a barrel roll, a few twists and turns, and things like that. After she was done Ria said, "Sooo… I didn't catch your name…" "Oh! I'm sorry. I'm Adeleine. You already met Nyla. This is Francine, Luna, Kierra, Abigail, and Delia." "Hi!" they all said."Does this sort of thing happen a lot?" Ria asked. "Err…no. only once," said Adeleine. The rest of the nihilego gathered near her. "What happened?" "Well…" Adeleine began. "Long ago, all nihilego decided to agree that we didn't want to live our lives trying to find something to control. Everyone agreed that it wasn't right, even if it did mean that we would get to our final form. On top of that, once we did get there, it was temporary. We could only remain in that form until the host-"

"Forgive me, but don't you think calling it host is kind of creepy?"Ria asked. "WELL DUH, IT'S CREEPY," shouted the nihilego named Kierra. WHY DO YOU THINK WE ALL SHUDDERED AT THE THOUGHT OF IT?! IF IT WERE UP TO ME, I WOULD HAVE CALLED THEM 'THE SUPER HAPPY PEOPLE WHO TOTALLY AREN'T BEING MIND CONTROLLED."

Everyone paused. "You know, for some reason that seems even creepier than calling it a host," said Luna. "Yeah," said Abigail. "Imagine if someone came up to you and said, 'Hey, you wanna be apart of The Super Happy People Who Are Totally Not Being Mind Controlled?"

"It isn't exactly mind control, "Adeleine explained. "The poison we inject effects the frontal lobe of their brain, making it easier to... influence them."

"Okay, that is SUPER CREEPY," Plumenaria pointed out. "Yeah lady, we are WELL AWARE OF THAT," said Kierra. "Exactly how do you "influence them?" Ria said. "We can transmit our thoughts," said Adeleine. "Like Sophie Foster!" Nyla said excitedly. "Wait a sec, you guys know about Sophie Foster?" Ria said, surprised that they knew about the character from her favorite book series. "Actually, we met her," Adeleine said. NO WAY, Ria thought. "Really?"

"Yeah!" said Nyla. "She intra..intru-"

"Introduced," Adeleine said helpfully. "Thank you. She introduced us to soooo much stuff! Like butterblasts and custurd bursts and blitzenberry muffins and prattles and fluffcreams and-"

"I think she gets it Nyla," Francine said patiently. "She taught about a LOT of desserts."

"Anyway, as I was saying," Adeleine said. "We could only stay in that form until the... The Super Happy Person Who Totally Wasn't Being Mind Controlled ran out of energy and fell unconsious. And since we used quite a lot of it, they ran out of energy rather quickly. We all decided that it wasn't worth it. However, there was one nihilego by the name of Gisela...It's funny, Sophie had an enemy named Gisela as well...Anyway, Gisela was obsessed with tradition, and wanted to keep all of them. Including the creepy one. So she struck out on her own to find a Super Happy Person Who Totally Wasn't Being Mind Controlled of her own. And then-

"She did!" Nyla burst out. "And then she came back with this really creepy blonde lady-"

"Wait wait wait, did you say creepy blonde lady?" Ria asked. "Did her name happen to be Lusamine?"

"Yes, how did you know?" Adeleine asked. Aw jeez, Plumenaria thought. How am I supposed to tell them that their fictional? "Uh…You might want to sit down."

Later…

"WE'RE FICTIONAL?!"

"W-wait… I'm not sure. Only in that world. Or maybe not. Now that I'm actually seeing you, I'm kind of doubting it."

"So… It depends?" Adeleine asked.

"Pretty much," Ria replied. "To be honest, I really don't think you guys are fictional. I mean, I'm seeing you in person."

"But what if you have one of those weird VS thingies you told us about?" Nyla asked."VR," Ria corrected. "You have to put those on, and I don't remember doing that."

"So… we might not be fictional?" Asked Adeleine. "Yeah,"Said Ria. All the nihilego sighed in relief. "So, what happened to the nihilego?" "We don't know," Adeleine admitted. "After she was defeated by that trainer, she fled, and we never saw her again." "Actually, I think I might know what happened to her," Ria said. "After the you-know-what happened, the police officers in that dimension ask you to capture all the runaway ultra beasts-" 'Wait, so there are more like Gisela?" Adeleine said alarmed. "Um, no not exactly," Plumenaria said. "These guys were just lost. They got out of their dimension somehow, and started running around that dimension trying to find their way back home. They didn't have any diabolical plans or anything."

Nyla tugged at Adeleine's tentacle and whispered something into her ear. "What?!" she said. "No, it's too dangerous. We should do that though. Plumenaria-"

"You can just call me Ria."

"Oh. Alright. Ria, Nyla was saying that we should help you find your friend."

"That would be really helpful, thanks."

"I wanna come help," said Nyla. "No," said Adeleine. "I told you, it's too dangerous."

"Mother…You can't keep her here forever," said a voice unexpectedly. "Francine-" Adeleine started.

"Oh, come now. She's going to leave at some point. Just give her a chance."

"…"

"…"

"Fine. Do you mind Ria?"

"Not at all."

"Alright then, it's settled. Francine and Nyla will go with you. The three of you will leave tomorrow morning."

"How do you guys know whether it's day or night?"

"We have clocks."

"Ah."

..

Later that day…

"Nyla, why don't you give our new friend a tour?" said Adeleine "Okay!" Nyla said happily. "Make sure you're back here by eight o' clock!" Adeleine called after them.

..

"Wow," Plumenaria breathed. "I was NOT expecting this." This was so much more complex than the game. They were in a city of intricate buildings that looked like they were made of the coral-like trees that she saw before. There was a mall, a restaurant, A hotel, a bakery, apartment buildings…Basically everything that would go into a city. There were nihiligo everywhere. Almost all of them were a different color. Then again, Nyla looked more purple than blue (Which, in the game, was the common color of all nihilego) when she first saw her, but she really didn't think anything of it until now. "Did you guys build all of this?" Ria asked in awe. "Our ancestors did," Nyla replied. "These buildings are thousands of years old. Most of the ancestors are still alive so you can probably ask them about anything you want to know."

"Whoa, Whoa, back up a little. You said most of them are still ALIVE?"

"Um…Yes…?"

"How old do nihilego get?'

"…I don't really know. The oldest out of all of us is named Willow, and she's 100,000 years old"

"Does she really want you telling people that?"

"Oh yes, definitely. Her birthday was just last week, so she wants everyone to know she finally hit 100,000."

"Man, that must have been painstaking. I mean being stuck at 99,999 for an entire year? Yikes."

"That's why she wants everyone to know."

They finished the tour, and went back to Adeleine. "Did you have a good time?"Adeleineasked. "Definitely!" Ria said smiling. She was remembering the bakery. They had something that was sort of like cake, but better. What was it called again…? Mallowmelt, she thought. Best thing she had ever eaten. Nyla said that mallowmelt was one of the things that Sophie had introduced to them. Ria couldn't help but grin at the little scene Abigail and Kierra had made. Kierra was staring longingly Abigail's mallowmelt when Abigail said, "GIT YER LITTLE SMACKERS OFFA MY MALLOWMELT." What made it even funnier was the fact that Kierra the outgoing boiterous type, while Abigail was usually shy and calm... for the most part. They also went to the mall. It was almost like a human mall, but it didn't have any clothing stores. Instead, it had dye stores. Different nihilego would come in, pick out a color, and then went into a machine to get their color changed. Well, sort of. They were still mostly white, but with an accent color of their choice.

Later, Adeleine took her to a room. "This is my guest bedroom. You can sleep here."

"Thank you so much!" Ria said. "Wait, you actually use beds?"

"You think we like having to sleep in the air? A bit of advice: Floating and sleeping don't go together, no matter how nice it sounds. You're always bumping into things."

Plumenaria fell asleep almost immediately. The bed felt how a cloud looked. In fact, it looked kind of like a cloud. It was so light and fluffy…

….

The next day…

"Are you ready to leave?" Adeleine asked Ria, Nyla, and Francine. The three of them nodded. "Alright," said Adeleine. Then she took them to the Inbetween.

"I saw Your friend Blue fall through that portal," Adeleine said when they got there, pointing to a pink and yellow portal. After that there were lots of sappy hugs and tears coming from the three nihilego (Or what Ria assumed were tears. You couldn't really tell). Then they all gathered for one big hug. Adeleine even squashed Plumenaria in there. After they were all done, Ria said, "Alright. Let's go find Blue."
