71So I'm back with a new chapter for you guys but before I begin, I would like to say something regarding my story. So the thing about this story is that it will follow the storyline of the One Piece anime but will be different from it. My story is meant to explore what will happen if Luffy hates the marines, so he will have no one to tie him to the marines like Coby. I don't hate the guy but I want my story to be different from the anime. If you read this story, you would understand why I said my story will follow the anime story line but will be different from it. Remember, this is also a LuffyxNami romance fanfiction, so expect a lot of Luffy and Nami's moments in this story. Finally, there will be some OC characters in this story but there won't make an appearance till Luffy and his crew enters the grand line. And with that, enjoy the story.
MEETING HIS NAVIGATOR
XXXXTIME SKIP TEN YEARSXXXX
We see a boy who was wearing a sleeveless red shirt with a straw hat on his head and a baggy short in a small boat sailing on the ocean. He is wearing a back pack and he seems to be deep in thought as he was looking ahead.
"So that's Alvida's ship up ahead. I head she has been terrorizing this part of the ocean. Let's go pay a visit then" he said to himself before jumping straight ahead at a speed that was almost light speed. He was in the air for some seconds before landing perfectly on the deck of a pink ship.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Alvida's crews were having the time of their life raiding a cruise ship that was filled with reach men and women. Things were going great for them because the people on the cruise ship were all stinking rich.
A fat lady that is holding a giant iron mace over her shoulder with freckles all over her face is standing at the deck of the pink ship. That's right, these is lady Alvida herself and she is barking out order "gather all their gold and valuable and make sure not to drop a single one".
In the cruise ship, a girl with orange hair was seen sneaking to the back of the ship before she connected a rope that she was holding to Alvidas ship and swinging herself to the ship. She silently made her way into the ship in other to steal their gold.
Alvida unaware of the girl presence was still laughing and barking out order. But all of a sudden, an explosion happened right behind her in the deck of her ship. She looked in alarm to know what happened because the area of her ship that the explosion happened is still covered in dust. By this point, all of Alvida crew have taken notice of the explosion and are gathering around the explosion.
"Are you Alvida?" a voice asked her from the smoke
She looked at the dust and readied her iron mace in her hand "depends on who is asking?"
A boy stepped out from the wreckage he caused and looked at her "my name is Monkey D Luffy and I am the one who stands at the pinnacle of all human"
Alvida and her crew looked at the boy for some second before they burst out laughing
"Ha ha ha he said he stands at the pinnacle of all human. Men this kid is funny" one of the crew said still laughing
"Kid you are going to wish you did not step into our ship because you won't be leaving here alive" another said while drawing his sword
Alvida stopped laughing and looked at the boy with anger "you are not pirate hunter Roronora Zoro, so who are you to say that you stand at the pinnacle?"
Luffy look at her with a surprised look "who is Roronora Zoro?"
"He is a bounty hunter who hunts down pirate like it was nothing in the east blue. No one has been able to stop him, not the marine, not the pirate and not even bounty hunters. There say he is a demon that once he sets his sight on you then you are as good as gone" she said to him
Luffy put his hand on his chine and nod his head "I see! Then where is this Zoro now?"
Alvida grew annoyed and raised her mace high "why should I tell a soon to be dead guy? Men cut him to pieces"
Immediately all the men drew their sword and charged the boy who had his hand in his pocket. There brought the sword down on the boy who still have not moved but something happened which left them all speechless. Their entire sword broke when it made contact with the boy's body. There all stood there with their jaws hanging from shock
MEANWHILE
The orange hair girl was just about to get off the ship with the gold that she stole when she heard the commotion that was happening on the deck of the ship. Curiously, she leaned at a wall and peeped to see what was happening. She saw a boy that was surrounded by Alvida and her crew and by the looks of it, there were about to kill the boy. She didn't know who the boy is but she couldn't just let him be killed but what can she do against Alvida and her entire crew.
"I have to do something or he will be killed but what can I do against that many men? No! I should just mind my business and leave before I am cut but his death will be on my conscience if I don't do something to help him" she gulped before reaching for her staff and was about to charge to the boy to try and save him but before she could move, she heard the sound of metal breaking and to her surprise, it was the sword of all the men who tried to cut the boy that broke when it made contact with the boy's body. Just like everyone there, she had her jaw to the floor

Luffy was looking and the men who's sword broke on his body with a bored look. He brought his hand out cocked it back before throwing a single punch to the men who were now in front of him. The moment his fist torched one of the men who were now in front of him, all of Alvida's men that once surrounded him but were now in front of him after their sword broke blew up into pieces from the shock wave of his punch.
Alvida screamed in terror and fear as she saw all her men blew up in to piece from the shock wave of this boy's punch. She drop her mace and fell to her knees in fear as she backed away from the boy "Please don't kill me…" she was crying "I will do anything"
The boy walked up to the trembling Alvida and squatted down to her level. He looked at her with a cold gaze "I will ask again; where is Roronora Zoro? Answer me now!"
Alvida was peeing her pants in fear by this point. Not only because her ship was covered in the blood of her crew but because of his cold gaze that was staring into her soul "of cause sir; Roronora Zoro was last sported in a village not far from hear in the east"
Luffy looked at her for some minute before smiling and standing up and moving away from the terrified woman. He gazed into the distance and saw three marine ships shooting at the ship with their cannon. This annoyed him greatly before he cocked his fist back "special move normal series; normal punch" he said as he punched the direction of the marine ship that was still firing at him. The result of his punch was a huge shock waves that traveled all the way to the three marine ships and instantly destroyed them with a huge BOOM spreading ocean water all over the place. The marine ship never stood a chance against the force of Luffy's punch.
Alvida felt like she could die at any moment because of how terrified she was. Never in her life has she seen this kind of power that is being casually displayed in front of her. She wanted to run but her legs won't move.
"Hey!" she looked at the boy who was now facing her "get off this ship immediately if you don't want to die"
Alvida didn't need to be told twice before she ran to one of her boat and released it into the ocean. She jumped inside and began paddling like her life depended on it. She needs to hurry before the boy changes his mind.
Luffy watched her leave before he casually tapped his leg on the floor of the ship which resulted in the ship breaking in half before it began to sink. Once that was done, he found a boat that was quite far in the ocean with his observation haki. By the looks of it, the person in the boat seems to be in a hurry because of the speed the boat was moving. He jumped into the air from the destroyed ship to the boat and as he was nearing the boat, he could see that the person paddling the boat was a girl.

Nami has never been as terrified as she is now. Just moment ago; a boy was about to be killed and she tried to save him but the boy turned out to be really strong. He killed every men on that ship with a single punch and if that is not enough, he destroyed three marine ships with a single punch. AND THIS WAS THREE MARINE SHIPS. Luck was on her side as he seems to be interested in Alvida and she used that time to escape before he finds her.
She was so far in the ocean before her luck ran out because the same boy that she was trying to get away from just landed on her boat. Once she saw the boy again, she resigned herself to her fate because she is going to die here…."Hey! Am Luffy, what's your name?" or she could answer his question and buy for herself a little more time.
"I- I-I-It's Na-Na-Na-Nami s-s-s-sir" she was praying to any god out there to save her
Luffy looked at her and smiled "that's a nice name. So what were you doing on Alvida's ship?" he asked her
Nami gulped and waved her options "will he kill me if I tell him that I am a thief who steals from pirate. I have to be smart in this situation" she thought to herself
"I was captured by Alvida and her crew and was forced to be her carbine girl in her ship" yes I was lying but can you blame me in this situation.
Luffy looked at her for several seconds which felt like an eternity before he relaxed in the boat "that's good! I almost killed you just now thinking that you were part of Alvida crew"
Nami thanked whatever god out there because her lie just saved her life "so where are you going?" she asked him in other to change the topic about herself being killed by him.
"Am going to the next island in the east. There is someone I would like to see there" Luffy told her while leaning on the edge of the boat "what about you, where are you going?"
Nami was still shaking slightly from his presence "I am going to the same place as you"
Luffy looked at her again with a surprised look "are you a navigator because I can't navigate"
"Well I am the best navigator in the east blue if I do say so myself" Nami told him with pride. She was starting to lose the fear that she has of him
"Really! Then be my navigator. Join my pirate crew" Luffy asked her
"Wait you are a pirate?" Nami asked him surprised
Luffy straitened himself "sure am. What do you say?"
"No!" Nami looked at him with anger "I will never join a pirate, I'd rather die" she said it with venom
Luffy looked at her for a few seconds "did a pirate do something to hurt you in the past?"
"Pirates took everything from me. I will never be one of them" Nami shouted at him with anger.
Luffy looked down in sadness "I get it, pirate took everything from you and you hate them but I am not like other pirate who would go into people home and destroy them. I have a dream that I must complete no matter what stands in my way but to complete that dream, I will need a navigator"
Nami was surprised by how sad he looked. She thought he was just a cold blooded killer but here he is looking very sad. The least she could do is hear him out "can you tell me what this dream of yours is?"
Luffy looked at her and then smiled a small smile "well it's complicated but to understand my dream you would have to hear my story. Would you like to hear it?"
"Well we won't be to the next island till tomorrow. So I am all ears" Nami told him
Luffy sighed and looked up "where to begin. I guess I could start from when I was captured ten years ago"
"Wait you were captured? Someone as strong as you. Who could capture a guy like you?" Nami asked him with a surprised look
"Well I wasn't always this strong just so you know. Before I was captured, I ate the gum gum fruit and became a rubber man" Luffy explained to her
Nami was left speechless "isn't devil fruit a mint?"
"Well you are looking at a devil fruit eater. So back to my story, I was captured by the marines because there were curious about how a devil fruit works in the human body" Luffy's faced changed from happy to angry in seconds.
Nami gulped as she watched his face "but you didn't do anything so why would there capture you?"
Luffy face changed to sad look "I was only seven at the time with my naive notion that marine are the good guys. So when there captured me and experimented on me for seven months, my view of the world changed"
"Seven months! How could there do something like that to a kid?" Nami asked him with sadness
"Like I said, my view changed because of it. Once there where done using me as there pleased, I was tossed into the ocean when there thought I was dead. I was lucky to have been washed up on a random island. When I woke up, I desperately wanted to die because the pain was unbearable but death will not grant me his sweet embraced" Luffy told her in sadness
Nami was crying now while trying to imagine what he must have gone through and comparing his story with hers. She felt a soft hand rest in her shoulder and she looked up to see Luffy looking at her with a small smile
"Hey don't cry for me now. You shouldn't shed your tears because that experience made me stronger. So dry your eyes okay" Luffy told her with a gentle voice.
Nami nodded head and was slowly calming down "so what happened next?"
Luffy looked at her to make sure that she was calm before he continued "well I was in that island for a while because I couldn't move. Before you ask, those doctors cut of my leg when there were experimenting on me. So back to the story, I heard a voice calling me in to the forest and when I got there, I found a fruit. The voice told me to eat the fruit so I ate it"
"What! How could you do something so reckless? What if it was poison or a trap?" Nami shouted at him
"Well I considered that option but I had nothing to lose at the time. After I ate the fruit, my body shook with an unimaginable pain. I could not endure this pain and I desperately wished for death" Luffy told her
"My god! How much have you endured in the past" Nami was very sad because of what she was hearing
Luffy touched his straw hat and smiled "well it wasn't easy that for sure but I did get this power in that island"
"Yeah, how did you get this powerful?" Nami asked him with a curious gaze
"After the pain, I passed out. I didn't know how long has passed since I passed out but when I woke up, I was fine" Luffy explained to her
"What do mean fine, how can anybody be fine after what you went through?" Nami didn't mean to shout but she just couldn't take it
"Well I didn't understand it at first but when I woke up, all my injuries where cured. My leg was restored; my fingers were back and my left eye that was destroyed where fine. I was back to full strength but I didn't have my devil fruit powers" Luffy told her
"What happened to it?" Nami asked him
"It seems that the fruit that I ate was a devil fruit and it changed my body by removing anything that will be a weakness to me. In my case was my gum gum fruit. I found my gum gum fruit where I was lying before so I took it for safe keeping" Luffy told her
"Do you still have it?" Nami is curious by nature. Don't judge her
"Of cause, it's in my back pack right now" Luffy told her.
Nami wanted to see it but she didn't want to push her luck "so, what is your devil fruit?"
Luffy looked at her with pride "the limit limit fruit. It is a devil fruit which removes every human limitation from me and also lets me remove others limitation"
Nami is surprised by his power. She wanted to know what he could do "what kind of limit did it remove"
"It removes every limit the human body has. Strength limit, speed limit, durability limit, sight limit, hearing limit and just about every limit. My strength has no limit, my speed has no limit, my sight has no limit and everything my body uses has no limit" Luffy explained to her
"That would explain how all those sword broke in his body and how he destroyed those three marines ship. He really is a monster but I can't blame him after what he has been through" Nami thought to herself
"With this power, I can now accomplish my dream with a strong crew" Luffy told her
"And what is this dream of your? You never mentioned it" Nami told him
Luffy stood up on the boat and looked at her in the eye "my dream is to destroy every world noble, marines and every pirate who would harm the innocent. I am going to change this world for the better with my own powers until I stand at the very top of power in the world. That's right, I am going to crush all the marines with their self imposed justice and law. As for the pirate who would harm the innocent, I will kill every last one of them. To accomplish this, I will need a strong crew to back me up on my quest"
Nami was left speechless once again. She did not expect this to be his answer. He wants to change the world for the better and he was determined to do it with his power. What resolve this boy, no! This man has to move even her. Even though she has locked her heart, she can't help but believe that this boy is the answer that she has been praying for. She began to cry silently "then! What about the entire pirate that is terrorizing the easts blue, what will you do about them?"
Luffy looked at her with such compassion that moved her so much that just staring at him was getting difficult "I know all of them and there are all my target. Buggy the clown, Don Krieg and Arlong the saw tooth. I will hunt them one by one and eliminate them but first…" Luffy brought out his hand to Nami and smiled "I will need my crew mate with me. So join me Nami as my navigator?"
Nami looked at his hand for a few minute before she looked back at him with resolve "I will join you if you promise me one thing"
"Which is…?"
"I want you to kill Arlong for me. If you can do that then I will join you where ever you may go as your navigator" Nami told him with a serious voice
Luffy was shocked for a second before he composed himself "not that I wasn't going to but any reason why you want him gone?"
Nami looked at her feet in sadness "he took everything from me. My home, my village, my freedom and my mom. Everything I loved was taken by that monster and everybody is afraid to fight him. The marines were bribed by him, so there turn a blind eye to his evil. My only hope is to buy my village back from him for one hundred million beri but as things stand, I don't think he will ever let us free. So please…" she got down on her knees and bowed before him "I don't care what I have to do. If you want me as your navigator then I am yours, if it's money that you want then I will pay you any amount, if it is sex then I will gladly accept. Just please, save my village by killing Arlong for me" she didn't care about the promises that she made because at this point, she is very desperate.
Luffy was surprised by her action and promise before he frowned. He moved to her side and helped her to sit down on the boat. He helped her wipe her tears with his hand and then he smiled to her "be careful on what you promise because I just might make due on the sex part" he laughed as he said that
Nami blushed before she looked away from him in embarrassment. She can't believe that she made that kind of promise to him out of desperation but she didn't have any other option left.
Luffy stopped laughing and looked at her worried look before he took her hand "Nami, you don't need to worry because I will never take advantage of you. I want you to join my crew as my navigator and my friend. As for Arlong, you don't need to worry about him anymore because I will take care of him. But it won't be now because I will need more crewmates and a ship first but after that, I will kill him for you"
"Just having your word is enough for me" she brings his hand to her chin and nuzzled into it. This brought a blush to Luffy's face but he didn't take his hand away. After some minute, she finally let go of his hand "so what's your plan captain?"
Luffy looked his hand for a few minute before he turned around to hide his blush "our next stop is the next island to know if the pirate hunter Zoro is there"
"Why! Do you have business with him?" Nami asked him
"Yeah! I'm thinking of recruiting him to join my crew" Luffy told her with a serious look
"You do realized that he is a pirate hunter right! Well you are the captain" Nami sighed
Luffy smiled at her before he looked out into the ocean "Soon I will have the strongest crew there is and together we will take down the navy and the world noble. Just you wait you marines, soon you will be the once hiding from me" he thought to himself.

At the area where those three marine ships were destroyed by Luffy, a single marine with his left leg missing was making a call
"Are you sure of this?" a voice on the other line asked
"Yes sir am sure. The boy with the straw hat destroyed all three of our ships with just a punch" the marine told him with a slight weak voice
"Are there any survivors?" the voice asked him with an urgent tone
"No sir! Everyone was wiped out in an instant" the marine said
"Very well then. We will send a medical unit at your location so don't worry" the voice said to him before the call ended

At the marine HQ, the marine who just ended the call brought out another transponder snail and made a distress call
"To all marine branch in the east blue, this is vice admiral Vito. There is a powerful boy wearing astraw hat in the east blue. He is to be caught by any means necessary. Be warned for he destroyed three navy ships with just a single punch. He's a criminal whose identity is unknown but he does wear a straw hat and has a back pack on his back. He must be brought to justice no matter what" he ended the call after that.
