Chapter 93- Fusion's New Ingredient
"Skye. Bianca…" Kendall hurried back into the bathroom. "Come on, they're calling us soon. We decided all of will go in togeth—are you okay?"
Bianca dabbed at her wet eyes and Skye clenched onto the sink and turned to Bianca. "Let's do this."
Bianca nodded. "This is our night, no one else's."
"Are you sure?" Kendall asked. "I can ask Ryan to stall."
Skye held her head high and fluffed up her hair. "No stalling."
"Okay."

"Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome." Ryan grinned and held the microphone to his mouth.
"We're very pleased to see such a great turnout!" Jax beamed.
Hayley turned when JR walked up beside her white in the face and grabbing her arm.
"Hayley… I need to talk to you."
She frowned. "Are you okay? Can this wait until after? They're about to announce Skye."
JR swallowed hard. "I don't know… I guess it can wait."
"Everyone, please put your hands together for the ladies of Fusion!" AJ started clapping and everyone else followed suit. Reporters flashed photos and so did Alan and Stuart.
The six ladies of Fusion walked out (Skye a little slower than the rest) all in short white dresses and took Ryan, Jax, and AJ's places at the front.
"Wooo!" Greenlee cheered and took the microphone. "Okay, thank you! Welcome to Fusion's fabulous opening bash! There were times we didn't think we'd make it, but we did. AND WE'RE HERE TO STAY!"
The crowd applauded even louder.
Greenlee beamed. "Now, I'm going to hand it to our leaders—Kendall Hart and Skye Chandler!"
"Thank you so much—thank you so much!" Kendall shouted. "Thank you so much for joining us!"
Skye scanned the crowd and the heaviness in her chest lifted when there was no sign of Michael, but she smiled when she saw her parents—including Adam—and her grandmother and Hayley, JR, and Emily in the crowd. "It all started as a thought when Kendall and I were you know… kidnapped together. Well… really it was Kendall's thought initially."
"We thought, we both come from wealthy, powerful families," Kendall continued. "Why don't Erica Kane's daughter and Adam Chandler's daughter come together and make something bigger and better than their parents ever did."
Adam and Erica exchanged annoyed looks.
"So, we put our heads together, gathered up a team, and came up with our very first lip colour," Skye explained.
"It took quite a few tries," Kendall said. "And Skye even got her lips glued together with too much beeswax…"
Everyone laughed except Skye who just rolled her eyes.
"But we eventually got it right and tested it on one of Skye's mother's patients," Kendall added.
Rae placed a hand over her face and shook her head.
"Who is here tonight," Skye said in a slightly annoyed tone.
"Put your hands together for Starr Manning." Kendall began to clap again
Everyone turned as Viki walked in with Starr, but only Starr came forward and sat on a stool between the Fusion ladies. Starr puckered her scarlet lips.
"This is Fusion's first lip colour," Kendall said.
"Scarlet Starr!" Skye announced.
Viki walked over to Rae, Myrtle, Erica, and the others and clapped.
"But now, we're proud to present for the very first time a new ingredient," Skye said.
"It just shipped in today," Kendall said. "And we want to test it in front of you."
Erica inched closer to Rae and whispered, "Have they tested this ahead of time?"
"Your guess is as good as mine," Rae said.
"It's called ceramide and was put together today." Skye lifted a lip gloss stick from a box next to them and pulled off the lid.
Kendall helped Starr down and took her seat. She puckered her lips and Skye brought the stick close and applied it to Kendall's lips.
Kendall pressed her lips together and then licked them.
Everyone applauded again.
"As you can see it looks the same as Starr's," Skye said. "Except the ceramide locks to your skin and prevents dryness. Something that will particularly come in handy in the wint—"
Kendall suddenly dropped from stool and began convulsing on the floor.
Gasps filled the air. Skye's mouth dropped slightly when Erica and Bianca were suddenly at Kendall's side.
Alan rushed over and joined them, and Monica followed. "Someone call 911!" He removed his suit jacket and tucked it under Kendall's head and turned her on her side.
"What's happening to her?" Erica asked.
Ryan pulled out his phone and called 911.
"She's having some sort of seizure," Alan said.
Skye looked up when Michael Cambias walked in, blood dripping from the top of his head and a shiver went up her spine. JR's mouth dropped slightly.
