"Rip, what is going on?" Miranda asked her husband as he tried to get her and Jonas to go with him to the Vanishing Point.

"Here this will be faster." Sara said as, before Rip could stop her, she pressed the memory ring to Miranda's arm.

When she recovered, the first thing she did was punch her husband.

"While there are several reasons I deserve that, which one did you pick?" Rip asked, since Sara had always threatened to restore Miranda's memories and let her know what he'd done since her death and now she'd followed through on it.

"How about how you treated Gideon when you formed your little Time Bureau. How could you turn her into a training simulator. She's not just an AI, she is a member of your team and our family." Miranda said.

"Thank you Ms. Coburn. That is truly the highest praise I can be given." Gideon said and Miranda smiled.

"I only did it because I knew that Gideon would never work with another team besides the Legends. Her loyalty was to them, not the Bureau." Rip said.

"That is correct Mr. Hunter. I'd rather time scatter anyone else you tried to assign to me." Gideon said.

"Mr. Hunter. That's new." Miranda said, looking at her husband.

"Yes well, I am no longer the captain of the Waverider." Rip said.

"You actually gave up your ship?" Miranda asked.

"To be fair, it stopped being his ship the moment he turned into a simulator." Sara said.

"I'm sorry, I still didn't catch your name." Miranda said.

"Sara Lance. The new captain of the Waverider and the Legends." Sara said.

"And she is far better at it than I ever was. When I was missing in action, Sara proved herself to be a much more competent and capable leader than I ever was." Rip said.

"You know you're still a part of the team." Sara said.

"Of course, but you also know that my time will not be spent with it, at least not as much once we defeat Savage." Rip said and Sara nodded.

"Considering the fact that the Legends are going to be helping you with it, I know." Sara said.

"Why, what's going on?" Miranda asked.

"Instead of just blowing up the Time Masters like we did before, this time we actually managed to expose them as the crooks they were and initiated a coup. Once we take out Savage, we're going to be returning to the Vanishing Point to help reorganize the Time Masters back to their true purpose." Sara said.

"Not that it will stop you from making a mess of the timeline anyways." Rip said.

"Sometimes you have to break the timeline to save it." Sara said and Rip chuckled.

"Well I have to admit, this team certainly lives up to it's motto of screwing things up for the better." Rip said.

"Yes we do. And we're proud of it." Sara said.

"As you should be. And I am proud to be one of you, but my place is at the Vanishing Point, restoring dignity to the Time Masters, since the only reason I formed the Bureau is because the Time Masters were destroyed beyond repair. But now they're not." Rip said and Sara nodded.

"Get Miranda and Jonas to the Vanishing Point where they'll be safe and then come straight back. We need to hit Savage now before he discovers that the Time Council is no longer backing him and that will cause him to start trying to destroy time itself." Sara said and Rip nodded.

"Any word from the away team?" Rip asked.

"Nothing yet. Ray, Snart, Mick, Nate and Behrad went back to 1943 to acquire the meteorite Ray needs to give us an edge against Savage, but honestly, even with that, I won't truly feel comfortable with this mission until we're sure it will kill him, since honestly, we have no idea how much radiation is needed to kill Savage and since we not only don't have the Hawks here, but we're also not risking detonating three meteorites and putting all of time at risk, this is basically a hell mary." Sara said.

"I'll do some research while I'm at the Vanishing Point, since now we're actually able to take advantage of their resources." Rip said and Sara nodded as Rip opened a portal back to the vanishing point and took Miranda and Jonas with him, right as Constantine entered the bridge.

"You need something John?" Sara asked.

"More like I have an idea about how to deal with Savage." Constantine said.

"I'm listening." Sara said, since at this point, she was open to any idea, since this was one fight where her team's usual strategy of throwing out their strategy and making things up as they go was not going to work. Not this time. She wanted to have a real plan.

"Remember the spell I used on Charlie when we first met her?" Constantine asked.

"Yeah." Sara asked as she quickly realized where he was going with this and she liked it.

"Well, if it could depower a magical creature like her and render her mortal, even after her powers started to return, I'm sure it could render Savage mortal as well. Granted a still very dangerous mortal, but." Constantine said.

"But at least he can be killed. And hopefully stay dead." Sara said and Constantine nodded.

"I'll call the team back immediately so we can start working out a plan." Sara said, though Constantine could tell that there was something eating at her.

"Something wrong, love?" Constantine asked.

"It's nothing." Sara said.

"You know, as a professional liar, I can tell when other people are lying." Constantine said.

"John, I don't want to talk about it." Sara said.

"And yet it's clearly distracting you and since I'm planning on trusting you with my life, I'd like to know why I might regret it." Constantine said and Sara sighed.

"I don't know. I guess that the risk of this mission hit me a bit harder than I thought they would." Sara said.

"Sara, we've never exactly shied away from taking risks that don't guarantee we come back. So what's changed?" Constantine asked.

"What's changed is that I lived through the end of the world. I lived that reality. A reality where I lost everyone I loved." Sara said.

"And now it's hitting you a bit too closely again. Or it's not so much the fear of losing all of us, more just one of us and I think I know who." Constantine said and Sara didn't deny it.

"Ava is the first person I've ever seen myself ever settling down with and building a future with. And I lost her. And I don't know if I can go through that again." Sara said.

"You know that Ava will never stop being a soldier. Hell, that's one of the reasons you love her." Constantine said.

"I know. What I'm afraid of is that I won't be strong enough to protect her." Sara said.

"Sara, that's crazy and you know it." Constantine said.

"Is it though. As captain, my job is to protect my team and I already failed epically on that scale once." Sara said.

"Sara, that wasn't your fault. You did everything you could stop the anti monitor from wiping us out and it all worked out in the end." Constantine said.

"Maybe, but I can't shake that feeling." Sara said.

"Then maybe you should do something about it. Give both yourself and Ava a reason to come back alive." Constantine said with a grin.

"What do you mean?" Sara asked.

"You know exactly what I mean." Constantine said and Sara had to admit she did and for the first time in her life, the idea didn't scare her. In fact, it felt a bit overdue.

"I will keep that in mind. Who knew you were a romantic deep down." Sara asked him and Constantine chuckled, seeing that she was back to normal.

"Don't tell anyone. I don't want Raymond to get any ideas." Constantine said.

"My lips are sealed. As long as you don't tell anyone about what I said." Sara said.

"Agreed." Constantine said as he watched Sara walk away.

Ava was surprised when Sara asked her to meet her in their shared quarters, since while she did like the idea of what she thought Sara wanted her there for, now didn't seem like the time for that. However, she was surprised when she entered their cabin to find Sara fully clothed.

"Okay, so this is not what I thought you wanted me here for." Ava said and Sara smiled.

"Tempting, but that will have to wait until after we kill Savage." Sara said.

"So what's up?" Ava asked.

"There's something I need to talk to you about. Something important." Sara said and Ava nodded.

"Okay and that would be?" Ava asked as Sara took a deep breath.

"I want to take the next step between us." Sara said.

"Next step. We're already living together. The next step for that would be." Ava said, only to realize what Sara meant and she was so stunned that she didn't even notice Sara dropping down on one knee with a ring in hand.

"Yeah, Ava Sharpe, will you marry me?" Sara asked as Ava's hands covered her mouth as she tried her best to get ahold of herself before finally nodding.

"Yes Sara. Yes I will marry you, I have honestly been waiting for you to ask me and also wondering if maybe I should ask you myself, but decided that you'd never allow that to happen, so decided to wait on you. But I have to ask, why did you pick now, right before we're about to go to war with Vandal Savage to propose to me?" Ava asked as Sara got back on her feet and slid the ring onto Ava's finger.

"Because I needed to be sure that we both had enough reason to come back. I lost you once. I couldn't risk doing it again without putting this on your finger." Sara said, referring to the ring.

"Well I wish that you'd waited until after we'd defeated Savage, since then we'd be able to celebrate." Ava said and Sara smiled.

"Just another reason to make sure both come back alive. When we have all the time in the world." Sara said and Ava smiled as they kissed, though they managed to keep it at that before heading back to the bridge to prep for the mission.
