A/N: Happy Mothers Day to those celebrating it!

This chapter, like the last is written a bit differently, and I apologize for any confusion.

Once again, a heartfelt thanks to everyone out there for their heartfelt support in these trying times.

As ever, we own no references, themes or memes and certainly no quotes. They're tributes made for the sake of entertainment, nothing more.

So here we go. The fate of this story depends on you, the reader. Your feedback determines the fate of this tale, and many others.

I'm just a humble author trying to make his way in this wild world, one word at a time.

Time and feedback will determine if this remains a story. Simple as that.

In other words...its up to YOU, the reader. Do let me know~!

And yes, this is set in the "Take the Girl" universe.

"Alright, that was clever, I'll give you that."

Happy Mother's Day

...what is this?"

Raven considered the card before her.

Yang held it out to her with eager eyes, all but hopping on her feet.

.

..

...was she supposed to do something?

Naruto elbowed her and whispered in her ear. "Just take it."

"Fine." She reached down, took it from her daughter; only to sputter as a blast of confetti hit her in the face.

Gasping, she flailed at it and brushed the colorful shards of paper away from her good eye. In the moment it took her to blink, she realized they weren't alone; because when she looked down, all the other brats were there, no doubt having emerged from hiding while she was distracted.

Each of them held a colorful card of their own.

Even little Neo had a cream colored card, grinning like the imp she was.

Raven looked down, somewhat confused, nonplussed even. "What is this?"

Vanessa stepped out beside her, snagging her arm before she could think to bolt. Ann seized her left arm, even as Willow embraced her from behind.

Raven made confused Raven noises.

Naruto rolled his eyes. "You were never big on holidays, were you? Read Yang's card."

Someone had written something within. Three little words."Love you, mom...

Her good eye watered. Someone must be cutting onions.

She wasn't crying. Nope. Nuh-uh. No way.

Yang whistled sharply. "Quick, before she runs! Get her!"

Everyone absolutely tackled her to the floor.

Just this once, she let them.

"Happy Mother's Day!"

A/N: *We'll cut it here. Don't wanna spoil too much.

Would you like an update next week? Do let me know! We'll be picking up the pace soon, but with the notifications down, I really need to hear from you here.

RWBY may have been canned by Warner Bros. but we fanfiction writers are out here trying to keep the light alive, as it were. So here we go. The fate of this story depends on you, the reader. Your feedback determines the fate of this tale, and many others.

So by all means, speak up! Raise your voice! Make yourself heard! Your reviews matter!

That's no joke! I can't write without feedback. Guess that makes me weak...T_T
