Hey. Me again, this time with a fanfic based on Warcraft III. The keyword is Warcraft III as I never played World of Warcraft. I only kept track of the main story, so a lot of details are gonna be missing. In fact, this fanfic won't even contain most of the stuff from WoW as I'm gonna drastically change the ending of Warcraft III. Basically, this story is about one of the biggest what ifs of Warcaft III. So, if you're a hardcore WoW fan with a keen eye to detail, you're probably gonna hate me. I'm gonna do my research but I'm not sure if I'll get the details right a hundred percent
Wait, this is a fanfic, I can do whatever the hell I want but nah, I'm gonna keep what made the characters so iconic, well mostly anyway
To avoid confusion, I will do what I did in my Bleach fanfic and explain how the texts will work. There will be no bold texts related to the story. This means all bold texts will be author's notes. All Italicized texts will be in a setting not in the same time and place as the current part of the chapter. An example of this is in this chapter
Edit: As the story progressed, it became clear that it was no longer about the storyline of WC3. It is for that reason that I changed this fanfic from WC3 to WoW. However, as mentioned earlier, I don't know too much about WoW so a lot of the details will be horribly wrong. This fanfic will adapt various parts of WoW's storyline but will mostly focus on characters that were very prominent in WC3 such as Arthas, Sylvanas and of course, Illidan. That also means that characters who only became known in WoW or thru novels will not have that much of an impact and these include Lor'themar and Varian among others
There will also be some parts later in the chapter that might seem weird so I will tell you to keep a close eye on the numbers on the timeskips as when you reach that part, the time between each events will explain it. If you don't notice it, don't worry since I also mentioned that in the notes part at the end of the chapter
Also, don't put too much thought about the layouts of temples or anything like that. Just about every location is not that close to the canon and I really don't want to spend half a day watching youtube videos on raids just to get the details right
Finally, i made a change to chapter six of the story. If you want to know what I changed, refer to the notes at the very end of chapter twenty nine
These introduction notes are the only thing that is edited. Everything else, including the notes at the end of the chapter, remains the same as they originally were

Uther the Lightbringer stormed from the outskirts of Stratholme. His student and the prince of Lordaeron, Arthas Menethil, just wanted to raze an entire city without even trying to help its citizens. He had believed that his student had gone mad and disobeyed a direct order
As Uther was walking on the road, he ordered his other knights to go on back to the capital city. He wanted to stay behind and hope for the best that Arthas didn't go through with his so called 'mad plan'. He wanted to go back to Stratholme in a few hours, hoping that Arthas didn't purge it
"The prince isn't wrong about this." a soft voice spoke from behind the paladin. Uther turned around but was not alerted as there was no hostility in the man's voice. He saw a man that had a staff, a mask covering his face with a hood covering the rest of his head. There was no way for him to know who this man is
"This is madess. A paladin exists to protect the innocent, not to commit genocide." Uther argued back as he had his horse just eat the nearby grass
"That is true but this is not an ordinary problem." the man said as he stepped closer to the paladin. "What is happening right now is merely one part of a much bigger plan. Your prince is assuming that this is the worst but nothing could be further from the truth." he said before looking at Stratholme's direction. "This is nothing but a trap for the young prince, meant to drive him to insanity, playing on the fact that despite everything he has been taught, he is powerless to change anything and in his desperation to save his kingdom, he will end up being its greatest enemy."
Uther was shocked beyond comprehension. What he thought was a simple plague is just a 'mere part' and that his prized student was going to end up being the kingdom's greatest enemy. He hoped it was not true, that this man was just speaking rambling nonsense just like when King Terenas spoke about him but the way this man was speaking, it wasn't just nonsense rambling. "You are the one that appeared in front of the king some time ago, aren't you?" Uther asked and the man simply nodded. The paladin didn't know if he could trust him but he could sense the mystery man's power. His power was great, far greater than his own, even greater than most if not all of the mages in Dalaran. "And how do you know this?" he asked suspiciously. "Have you seen the future or something similar?"
"No, I have not, not exactly in those words at least. I am just someone trying to save as many lives as I can, which is why I came to you, as you might be one that could save more lives. Make no mistake, you will not be able to save them all but many more will live if the young prince isn't stopped." the man said before raising his staff. "I may not have seen the future, but I was given visions on what might happen and I spread what I have been given to those who would listen." magic then emanated from the staff and the surroundings were distorted, revealing a different location. They were inside Lordaeron's throne room but they could not interfere on what was heppening. Uther in particular watched with absolute horror on the scene happening in front of him
Throne room
"What is this? What are you doing, my son?" King Terenas asked as Arthas held him by his throat, sword at the ready
"Succeeding you, father." Arthas said coldly before running his father through and kicking him off the blade. "This kingdom shall fall, and from the ashes shall arise a new order, that will shake the foundations of this world." he declared
The vision then ended there and they were back on the road. "What was that?!" Uther demanded to know
"That is what will happen if Prince Arthas isn't stopped. As I said earlier, his desperation to save his kingdom will turn him into its greatest enemy. I have no way to make you believe me and I will not reveal my identity to you, at least not now." the man said before turning around and began walking away before stopping. "At this point, Prince Arthas is doing what is necessary. It is not what a paladin believes in but at the moment, it is the right call. However, if you wish to save the prince from what I have shown you, then you must ensure that he stays in Lordaeron. After his purge, he will travel to Northrend to hunt Mal'ganis and that is where all of this begins. Whatever action you choose is up to you but just know this, the true enemy, the one responsible for all of this, have yet to reveal themselves and their power is far greater than what you would dare to imagine." the man said before turning into a raven and flying away
Uther looked as he flew away, in deep thought, completely troubled by what he just saw. He didn't trust the man, there was no evidence that what he said was true but what he saw greatly unnerved him. While he didn't trust the man at all, Uther knew that he couldn't live with himself if he simply disregarded all of this. There was simply too much risk and the man he spoke to had great power. He did wonder why he didn't do to stop this but there was no time for that. Whether the mystery man was right or not, Uther could not let his student fall into the hands of their unknown enemy. Stratholme was large, the second largest city in Lordaeron and it was a port city on top of that. It hadn't been an hour since he left so that should give him enough time. He was interrupted when one of his knights came to check up on him
"Are you alright, sir?" the knight asked
"Knight, listen." Uther said before looking at his subordinate. "I need you to go to the Capital City and tell King Terenas to withdraw Prince Arthas at once. This is an emergency." he said in a very urgent tone. The knight didn't need to hear anything else. He gave an affirmative and rode as quickly as he could
As the knight got out of sight, the paladin then got on his horse and headed straight for Stratholme. He didn't bother to go through the city and risk running into Arthas so he decided to go around it. It still required him to be inside the city but he could see where the carnage was happening and he sneaked his way past everyone. Fortunately, all of Arthas' forces were engaged in heavy combat against the undead, giving Uther the distraction he needed to get to the port
When he arrived at the port, Uther was surprised. Most of the ships that were stationed in Stratholme were still there, intact and in pristine condition. The crews of the ship were dead, killed by the Scourge but they didn't bother to burn the ships. This can only mean that they either needed the ships to retreat back to wherever they came from or it was for Arthas, as the mystery man had stated. Wasting no time in killing the undead guards, Uther quickly killed all of them, ensuring that nobody would ever be able to use the ships. While there was probably a more elegant way of doing this, he was running out of time and this was the best solution in the event Arthas manages to leave before King Terenas recalled him
Meanwhile, Arthas was in the middle of his purge. Five minutes after he began, Mal'ganis appeared and turned the townspeople into mindless zombies. Jaina had elected to remain with him as before she left Hearthglen, she witnessed the citizens turn into zombies and decided that, as difficult as what she and Arthas were doing, it was for the best. Eventually, she and Arthas were able to corner Mal'ganis
"We're going to finish this right now, Mal'ganas. Just you and me." Arthas said in a very venomous tone, gripping his hammer
Mal'ganis merely laughed at the bold declaration. "Afraid not. You're journey has merely begun young prince. Gather your forces and meet me in the arctic land of Northrend. It is there that we shall settle the score between us. It is there where you're true destiny will unfold." he responded before green light appeared around him
Arthas, Jaina, and the rest of their forces tensed at what the dreadlord was up to but suddenly, he was trapped in bindings made out of light. Everyone turned their heads to where it came from and were surprised to see Uther standing near a destroyed house
"You're not going anywhere, demon. You will answer for your crimes against the citizens of Lordaeron." Uther said, hand held up channeling the power of the light
Again, Mal'ganis merely laughed this off as suddenly, green flames consumed the light bindings and he was able to break free, completely surprising Uther at how effortlessly the dreadlord broke free. "That is rather hypocritical, paladin, for one who abandoned his own student." he said mockingly before looking at Arthas. "As I said earlier, Northrend is where we shall settle this. Meet me there, if you dare, Prince Arthas Menethil." Mal'ganis said before green light appeared once more, this time turning into flames and he disappeared
"Damn it!" Arthas said in frustration and threw his hammer at where the dreadlord stood. "I will hunt you down to the ends of the earths if I have to. Do you hear me?! To the ends of the earth!" he yelled to the wind before looking at those that joined him in his culling, completely ignoring Uther. "Falric, gather everyone. We're chasing that bloody demon." he ordered
Before Falric could respond, other words were spoken. "Arthas! You're not serious about this?" Jaina said in a horrified and reprimanding tone
"Lad, she's right. Can't you see that this is a trap?" Uther said as he approached the group
Arthas quickly tilted his head and glared at his mentor. "That's very hypocritical of you to say that, Uther." he said, repeating what the dreadlord has said earlier. "It doesn't matter if it's a trap or not. Lordaeron is never gonna be safe with that damned demon around. I'm going, with or without you." he said, glaring at Uther and glancing at Jaina
Those two, along with the others, were somewhat surprised at that declaration. It was clear that Arthas finally reached his breaking point by the fact that not only was he helpless to stop this but he also had to kill his own people
Uther was glad that he listened to that mystery man earlier. Taking a deep sigh, knowing what would come next. "I'm sorry, Arthas, but I burned all the ships in the port."
"WHAT?!" Arthas yelled out, completely furious at his mentor. "First you disobey my orders and now this!" he yelled out once more
Uther prepared for the worst, seeing how desperate Arthas had become, and was about to begin doing something unthinkable before a gryphon suddenly arrived
Everyone turned their heads to the new arrival who was dismounting from his ride. "Prince Arthas, Lady Jaina, Lord Uther, by royal edict, King Terenas has summoned you all to appear before him in the Capital City immediately." he said
This did not do anything to lift Arthas' mood. "I don't have time for this."
"Regardless, you have been summoned. As such, you are to appear before your father." the emissary said once more
Arthas was about to yell out but Jaina put a hand on his shoulder. "He's right, Arthas. We need time to rest and think about this."
"Jaina, I thought you were with me on this?" Arthas said in a disappointing tone
"I am, but not like this. With the culling, we had no choice. We were too late and everyone was infected. I was with you when those people in Hearthglen turned into zombies before you sent me back but now, we have a choice. We cannot go after Mal'ganis blindly. We need an actual plan if we are to actually stop him." Jaina reasoned with and surprisingly, calmed Arthas down
Arthas muttered a few curses before giving in. "Fine. Let's go. I don't want to keep the dreadlord waiting." he said before leaving
The rest of his men were glad that Jaina managed to reason with him. They were all afraid of blindly chasing after a demon, especially one that made Uther's bindings seem like nothing. As such, all of them went back to the Capital City for some much needed rest
As soon as they arrived in the Capital, Jaina gave a full report on what happened thus far. Uther, Falric and Jaina all convinced Arthas that she should be the one to give the report as Arthas wasn't in the best state of mind, something he reluctantly agreed and something that even his father had said
As such, Jaina gave the full report, from their encounter with Kel'thuzad, to the attack on Hearthglen and the culling. Among those who listened to the report were other paladins such as Saiden Dathrohan and Alexandrous Mograine. Even Antonidas was present as he was also summoned to hear the report on what his apprentice had discovered. Needless to say they were all shocked, especially Antonidas. Before anyone could ask questions or clarifications, King Terenas had ordered that to be dealt with later. He wanted Arthas to be present when the discussions take place. Everyone had agreed to this as they all had questions for the prince for any details that may not have been said, which no one further question given how tired Arthas' group was
When the report was over, the high elves that were with Arthas requested Antonidas to send them back to Quel'thalas to report to King Anasterian
"I thought you elves left the Alliance?" Mograine asked out of curiosity after hearing the request
"That is true but not all of us have agreed. There are people of influence that still wish to remain with the Alliance, Prince Kael'thas, Ranger General Sylvanas Windrunner and her sister, Vereesa, to name a few. At the very least, they might be able to convince High King Anasterian to attend, or find some loopholes to exploit so that we can still aid you." the high elf priest argued
"Very well then. I shall send you to Quel'thalas. I will inform Prince Kael'thas of this matter personally. The both of us shall attend later." Antonidas said
"Very well then. Also, call in Daelin and Katherine Proudmoore." Terenas said which shocked Jaina. He then looked at her. "Your parents need to be aware of what you're dealing with. As a parent myself, I would rather know what my child is fighting rather than being kept in the dark." he said and received a thankful nod
The doors were then opened when another human with the insignia of Stormwind came through along with a mage that was with him, requesting an immediate audience with King Terenas. The king immediately realized what this person was here for
"I apologize for intruding but I need to speak with King Terenas immediately." the man said
"How exactly may I help you?" King Terenas asked
"Recently, King Varian has heard troubling rumors about a plague in Lordaeron. He wanted to know if there is anything he can do to help. Stormwind has somewhat recovered from the second war and while we are not back to our full strength, we now have the capability to help those who helped us." the man replied
A thankful nod was then thrown around the room. At least some members of the Alliance still uphold their words
"As of right now, we are taking not yet taking actions. My son has been the one to encounter the undead and later, we will have a major discussion on how we will approach this. He is resting at the moment so if possible, maybe Varian could personally attend the meeting and see where he can help." King Terenas said
The man looked around the room and saw that nobody had any disagreements with that. "Very well, I shall get your message to King Varian at once." he said before giving a respectful bow and leaving
Everyone soon left after that, leaving Uther and Terenas alone as Arthas was in his room, sulking about this
"Uther, Jaina said that you destroyed all the ships in the harbor, why is that?" Terenas asked his old friend
"Do you remember that man you told me about? The one that was rambling some nonsense?" Uther asked and received a nod. "That same man came to me and has said that this was just the beginning. He showed me a vision of what would happen if Arthas had actually gone to Northrend. He would fall under the undead's control and run you through, completely turning this kingdom into ruins." he finished, shocking Terenas
"And you believed him?" Terenas asked out of curiosity
"Not at first but the vision was too risky not to consider. When I arrived at the harbor, I saw all of the ships completely intact, which can only mean..." Uther trailed off
"That either the undead needed it or wanted Arthas to have it." Terenas finished
"There was issue of the so called 'dreadlord'." Uther said and got Terenas' attention. "As he was about to leave, I was able to bind him with my light powers and he was able to effortlessly break free. These enemies are not to be underestimated and they seem to be more powerful than even the orcs."
"Do you think that whoever sent the orcs is also the one who sent the undead?" Terenas asked, noticing the connection
"It is possible but that man gave me no further information." Uther said and silence took over. It wasn't long before he too left the room
Nearly five hours later, everyone has gather in one of Lordaeron's meeting rooms. The Proudmoores were the first to arrive, which was understandable given that their daughter was personally involved. The other paladins soon arrived short after and soon, Prince Kael'thas had arrived along with Antonidas. Nearly an hour later, much to everyone's surprise, High King Anasterian had arrived along with Sylvanas Windrunner. The last one to arrive was Varian, who Antonidas had personally picked up. He was given a quick rundown of the situation and like the others, he was shocked as hell
"Is that everyone?" Terenas said and everyone had agreed. Terenas then looked at the paladins to begin the meeting. Normally, Uther would be the one to begin the questioning but since he had taken part, it was best that someone else do it instead
"First off, Prince Arthas, how do you justify killing an entire city of innocents? Have you forgotten your duty as a paladin?" Mograine began
This lit up all fuses with Arthas once more. "Don't you dare talk to me like that, Mograine." he said in a very angry tone, completely surprising everyone with the way he was speaking. "You weren't there and you are in no position to judge what I did. Five minutes after I began killing the townspeople, Mal'ganis appeared and began turning them into zombies. You say that I was wrong to kill them, that it was not what a paladin does? Well, guess what, this plague had spread under your watch." he said before glaring at Antonidas. "Have you discovered a cure for the plague? And more importantly, have you mass produced it?"
Antonidas narrowed his eyes. The prince had a very good point and had every right to be angry. "No, we have not." he said eventually
"There. If I hadn't burned down Stratholme, we would be facing an entire city of undead right now and most of our army were not nearby to contain the situation. The undead have snuck into our kingdom under your watch, gentlemen. You haven't even discovered anything useful about the plague." Arthas said to the paladins
"Jaina, is this true? I heard you took part in the culling but this..." Daelin asked with worry
"He is right, father, which is why I agreed to help him. Mal'ganis not only had the ability to command the undead but for those who have eaten the plagued grain, he seemed to be able to speed up the process by which they turn into zombies by his mere presence. From what I was able to gather, it seems that he was merely toying with Arthas." Jaina replied while looking down, ashamed that she had to kill innocents
The paladins couldn't really argue with that. Arthas had a very good point, the plague caught them off guard and they lost one of their largest cities because of it. Containing it would be one thing but in the time since Arthas was dispatched to investigate, none of them have ever bothered to find a cure, or even consider it
"This brings us to the next point." Saiden said as everyone was silently contemplating what was said. "Lord Uther, what led you to burning down the ships at Stratholme?" he asked, looking at said person
Uther then explained about the mystery man, what he was shown, his discovery at the port and his encounter with Mal'ganis
"Wait, hold up. This man who told you all this, does he have a staff, hood and a mask?" Sylvanas asked in surprise
"Yes, why? He also appeared before King Terenas. Have you heard about him?" Uther asked
Sylvanas leaned into the table and put her hands in front of her head. "This man also came to me right before I heard the rumors about the plague. He has said that sooner or later, something big was coming and that we had to flee to the west if we are to survive." she explained
"West? What is in the west? And what about the dreadlord? Are we really just gonna leave him out there?" Arthas asked in a surprised tone
Anasterian, who was absent minded during the whole meeting, suddenly got his attention when he heard that word. "Prince Arthas, did you just say 'dreadlord'?" he asked in complete surprise
"Yes, that's what Kel'thuzad called him at least." Arthas replied uncertainty
"If it really is a dreadlord, then the undead is the least of our worries." Anastarian said grimly. Kael'thas also had a worried look on his face as he too was aware of what a dreadlord was
"What do you mean by that?" Varian asked, joining in
Anastarian looked at his son and Sylvanas and they both gave him a nod. While he had a great distaste for humans, he was well aware that he would need their help. "Ten thousand years ago, our world was one great landmass. Many of the details were not recorded in elven history but around that time, a massive demonic army named 'The Burning Legion' came into our world. I will not bother with the recorded details of the war but the most significant event of all this is that while we elves were victorious, the price was high. The Legion was banished to wherever they came from but most of the world was sunk beneath the oceans as a result."
"Wait, so it's not the orcs that commands the demons?" Varian asked in surprise
"I'm afraid not. We have long suspected the orcs to be under the demons' control but we never had sufficient evidence to draw a connection. The presence of this dreadlord is our only lead thus far and it is logical to conclude that the Burning Legion wants to invade our world again." Kael'thas responded
"That still doesn't answer what lies to the west." Arthas pointed out
"To the west is the continent named 'Kalimdor'. It is where we high elves came from before our ancestors had disagreements with the other elves, which are known as 'night elves'. They have remained there ever since the war ended." Anasterian answered
"Then that means that this 'prophet' wants us to ally with the night elves to fight against the Legion." Sylvanas concluded
"Even if that's the case and we agree to it, would the night elves even be willing to ally with us?" Katherine pointed out
"If it really took that much to defeat the Burning Legion, they might not have a choice. Not to mention that we would be fighting them as well." Jaina answered
"The Legion's power is far greater than what we know. There were even some highly classified records in Quel'thalas that the demon lords had enough power to rival, if not, surpass the dragon aspects and it was also said that the demon lords were able to kill one of the demigods in battle." Kael'thas pointed out. Everyone looked at him like he was crazy for believing in demigods but given how serious he was, they realized he was not joking
"That still leaves us with the question, what do we do?" Sylvanas asked eventually. She was not delusional enough to believe that the high elves, even with the humans' help, would be able to ward off the Legion
"I think we should heed the prophet's words." Jaina said and attracted everyone's attention
"Come on, Jaina. You're not seriously believing that madman do you?" Arthas asked in irritation as he was not letting go of his business with Mal'ganis that easily
"I think she's right, Prince Arthas." Antonidas came to his apprentice's aid. "This prophet has also told me about needing to travel to the west and given what has happened so far has been in line with what he said."
"He does have a point. We also don't have enough information about where the dreadlord's forces are, how many they have and what their goal is. If we try to find out, it may be already too late. At the very least, we should prepare that in the event we fail, we will be able to flee and put some distance between us and the Legion in a short amount of time." Sylvanas suggested
There were murmurs going around, discussing among themselves. The ranger had a very good point and the Legion was mentioned were that powerful. There were reports about the dragon aspects during the end of the second war but to think that the demons could surpass that power was unnerving. What Sylvanas was suggesting was that they all play this safe. Eventually, King Terenas called the room to order
"Very well, we shall be ready to depart at once. As much as I hate to leave our lands, we must do what is necessary to survive." King Terenas announced and got no objections
"There might be a problem with that." Mograine said as he realized something. "Lord Uther has destroyed the ships in Stratholme. We might not have enough ships to get everyone out of here, even with Kul'tiras' help."
"Perhaps I can be of assistance." Varian said, getting everyone's attention. "Stormwind hasn't been compromised ever since the war against the orcs ended. We would be happy to house Lordaeron's citizens until this is over."
"Kul'tiras will aid you as well. We will have our marines to defend Lordaeron until everyone is safe." Daelin agreed
"Jaina, you will go with them to Kalimdor and with you, take some of our people to help you." Katherine said and Jaina looked at her mother in surprise, surprised that her mother would trust her with something like that
Everyone then looked to Anasterian as only the high elves have yet to make a decision. He was not happy about this as he still distasted humans but there was no other choice. He doubted that even if the Alliance banded once more, they would last that long against the Burning Legion especially since they do not know enough about the Legion and how to combat them
"Kael'thas, Sylvanas, you two will go with the rest of Lordaeron with our citizens." Anasterian said and surprised them both. "I will remain here and try to destroy the Sunwell. If we are to abandon our lands, then I would rather not leave the Sunwell for them to use however they want."
"But father..." Kael attempted to object but was cut off
"Someone has to stay behind, my son. The Legion would only get more dangerous if the Sunwell is under their control and you will need Sylvanas' expertise in this endeavor. I will catch up with you once I am sure that the Legion cannot use the Sunwell." Anasterian said. Deep inside, he was not confident with this at all. He didn't know the secrets of the Sunwell and he wasn't even sure if it could be destroyed
"Very well then. If nobody has any objections, we should begin preparations." King Terenas said and the meeting was over soon after. Eventually, it was decided that Uther and Terenas would go with Varian and the Proudmoores to Stormwind and Kul'tiras, bringing some of the Citizens while Arthas, Jaina, Kael and Sylvanas would lead the expedition to the west. The only concern on their minds is if they have enough time. Preparing for the Legion is one thing but they also wanted to learn as much of their plans as they can, if they can even figure that out
Don't get too much from this part of the fanfic. I'll give a little spoilers, the real story will begin after the battle of Mount Hyjal. The first few chapters will be some sort of a prologue so they'll mostly be a summary of what had happened and what I changed from the original story. Since they're mostly gonna be summaries or changes, they will be kind of rushed as I wanna get this prologue arc finished as soon as I can so I can start with what I have in mind
I'm not sure about Sylvanas' position on the alliance but I believe that Vereesa was supporting the alliance since her husband is a human. I also gave Medivh a mask to further his disgusie in the event someone might recognize him. It's just a mask so no big deal. Lastly, I changed Jaina's role in RoC. In the original, Arthas sent her to retrieve Uther as soon as they arrived in Hearthglen. Here, she witnesses the Hearthglen citizens turn into zombies before she is sent back, which would be the reason she supported Arthas in the culling
As said, this will be based on Warcraft III's story so you can probably guess which one its gonna be and who knows. Maybe it will be about Arthas, or Sylvanas. Maybe not. Although the title should be a dead giveaway
Again, don't hate me if I get the details wrong. I'm not sure if Stratholme had a port but I put that there since I read somewhere that it was a port city
One last thing, if you came here from my Bleach fanfic in its mid days, you will remember me being able to update it on a consistent basis. I'm not sure I will be able to do that with this one as I am a lot busier. I should be able to update it regularly until the battle of Mount Hyjal since I've already written those but after that, probably nah
