Rose Cottage was a pandemonium.
It was bustling with activity, even more than the Burrow, which is saying something.
The furniture was being moved to a Muggle van, and some electronics were lugged along by Ron and Hermione. Ron and Hermione had decided that they needed to live closer to their kids' families; closer to the Burrow, where the elderly Weasleys lived, and the Woodlands, where Harry and Ginny lived, with their sons James and Albus, and their daughter Lily. The thing is, with a 7-year-old magical kid and a husband who doesn't know anything about Muggles or Muggle things, moving from a Muggle neighborhood is pretty hard.
"No, Ron, DON'T LEVITATE THE-" Hermione started.
Boom
Scratch that. A LOT harder.
"-Television" She finished lamely. Ron looked sheepish. Hermione pinched the bridge of her nose.
"How many times do I have to say, Ronald? You don't handle Muggle appliances with magic." She explained patiently.
"Mum!"
"I'm coming, Rose, I'm coming," She said and hurried to the kitchen to whip up something for Rose. Handing 3-year-old Hugo to Ron, she went to get some pie.
Ron eyed Hugo fondly and began to baby talk him. Rose was on the floor reading a Muggle book 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid'. Hermione had insisted she and Ron follow at least some of the Muggle cultures and traditions so that their kids won't be as clueless as Ron was. "Do you really want Rose and Hugo to behave like a dunderhead when talking to Muggles?" Hermione had asked. So Rose grew up in the Muggle neighborhood most of her life and Hugo was born there. But then, after the kids' accidental magic became more and more frequent, They decided to move back into more wizard-inhabited areas.
Hermione got Rose a slice of apple pie and then got back to the movers. Most of the things are already out, leaving the heavy-duty stuff.
That's when things started to go wrong.
One of the movers had a slightly malfunctioning wand. He tried to vanish a pile of waste papers, but they flew in all directions with a huge bang. Rose and Hugo got startled. Their accidental magic acted up.
Rose's magic vanished one of the boxes Hermione was moving. She dropped the other one in surprise. The box was full of utensils. They fell and shattered into a million pieces.
On the other hand, Ron got the brunt of Hugo's magic. He simply got blasted backward and crashed into the wall. The papers disappeared as well. All of them looked at each other, shell shocked. Hugo started giggling. The ice was broken. Everyone started laughing. The mover who tried to vanish the papers started apologizing profusely. Hermione laughed it off.
"No harm done, right?"
Hermione waved her wand and the almost-demolished house went back to normal. Hermione never let Ron handle Muggle things, though. Much to the amusement of Rose.
Aaaaand that finished! I lost ideas to the end, so you'll have to make do. Please review!
