Kensi and the others were already seated at their desks when Deeks entered the bullpen, wearing a brand new shirt the others hadn't seen before.
"Hello, all!" Deeks proclaimed loudly as he walked between the desks to sit down after depositing his bag on the floor. Kensi glanced up and smiled at him.
"Hi...what in the world? Where did that come from?" Kensi asked with a cock of her eyebrow, gesturing at his t-shirt.
"I found it at Goodwill," Deeks replied, glancing down at his tee with a grin. A black cat holding a bone was plastered on the front, beside text that read 'I found this humerus.' "What's wrong with it?"
"Nothing, it's just ridiculous," Callen said with a grin, glancing up from his computer screen. Sam glanced Deeks up and down.
"You look like you just got out of bed," he remarked with a smirk. Kensi snorted.
"He always looks like that."
Deeks ignored her comment and glanced down at his board short covered thighs, and his flip-flop clad feet.
"You guys know I surf on Saturdays. And regardless of what you guys think, this shirt is fantastic, I love it, Monty loves it, and that's what matters," Deeks said with a quick nod of his head.
"Oh, great, he's taking fashion tips from a dog," Callen muttered with an exasperated laugh, tapping away at a few keys.
"Oh, no, guys, Monty has great taste," Kensi said, mock sincerely.
The sound of a bad kazoo interrupted their banter as Eric descended the stairs. The foursome covered their ears at the bad squawking. Eric pocketed his kazoo with a grin. "That's my new hobby! Learning to play the kazoo!" Sam rolled his eyes.
"Wonderful," he muttered. Eric jabbed a thumb behind him
"Got a case. Let's move." The team jumped to their feet and filed out of the bullpen and up the stairs.
"Deeks," Eric said with an impressed grin. "Nice shirt!" He held up his hand for a fist bump, which Deeks gladly obliged.
"Hey, thanks, man!" He replied with a wide smile. He gave Kensi a smug grin when she turned around with an unimpressed look.
"Monty does have good taste," Deeks said, satisfied.
