Chapter 0: Prologue
The first thing Emiya Shirou thought as he came to was how bright it was, in fact it was too bright. That was unusual to him as he was certain he had gone to sleep in his room or rather the apartment room that he and Tohsaka shared. He would often wake up early in the morning, often during sunrise where there was scarcely any light at all.
The second thought that came to Shirou's mind was the fact that he was uncomfortable, he was lying down on what felt like a wooden bench, his suspicions of his surroundings were further vindicated when he felt an unmistakeable breeze that one could only get if they were outside.
"-ir?"
As he slowly forced his eyes open he was greeted by a clear blue sky with scarcely any clouds in sight.
"Sir?"
Further musings were broken when he finally registered a voice addressing him, slowly he sat himself up and confirmed that, yes he had in fact been lying down on a bench. Turning his head to address the one who had been trying to get his attention he realised that they had been speaking Japanese to him, that further threw him out of the loop as he was fairly certain that English was the main Language spoken in London and yet here was a person speaking to him in Japanese.
"Sir I'm afraid you can't sleep here."
Shirou still pondering his rather unusual circumstances dumbly replied "Huh?" to the individual. It was only after he got a look at the man did Shirou truly confirm that something was very, very wrong here.
The individual in question was a fairly average man but that was not his most distinguishing feature, no it was the fact they were wearing a Police Uniform. A Japanese police uniform.
"Sir? Are you alright?"
Finally Shirou's brain caught up with him enough to actually respond in an intelligent manner to the person.
"Ah. Yes, I'm fine" he said that but internally he was still panicking on how he went from England to Japan seemingly overnight.
The officer in front of him replied with a simple 'Hmm' before speaking further "In that case I will have to remind you sir that the park is an inappropriate place to sleep."
Shirou took that information in and scanned his surroundings and confirmed to himself that yes, he was in fact in a park, a rather small park designed for children if the play area off to the left of him was anything to go buy and he then realised that he had in fact been sleeping here. He could only thank the fact that he was dressed in his clothes rather than in his pyjamas.
"Sorry about that" Shirou began "I mustn't have realised how tired I was and simply dosed off"
Once again the officer responded with a simple hum before replying "Well, as long as you understand Sir, have a pleasant day." to which Shirou replied with a 'You as well' before the officer began walking off to continue their patrol of the area.
Now left alone with his thoughts Shirou could officially start panicking at his rather sudden situation and quickly took stock of what he had on him, which was admittedly very little. He was wearing his white shirt with blue sleeves, dark navy trousers, black socks and his trainers.
'Weird' he thought 'Whoever took me went through the effort of clothing me as well'
It was then he felt something in his pocket, sticking his hand in there to retrieve said items he became perplexed by what he found. A wallet with an identity card with his name on it and a bank card, also filled out to him, a map of the area a place called 'Koshigaya'.
'Well at least I know where I am.'
Finally there appeared to be a note addressed to him, opening it he found his questions were answered.
Dear Emiya
I needed to provide my Apprentice with a little task to further her development with the Kaleidoscope so I have sent you off and told her to try and find you.
Don't worry too much. I've already taken care of your finances for the first couple days and have marked out a little apartment complex you can started to live in right away although I would suggest finding a job.
I have sent you pretty far off so I wouldn't expect a rescue anytime soon but the danger to your life should be minimal. Besides this is one of my favourite worlds to check up on and I'm certain you'll come to appreciate too.
Regards,
Zelretch
Shirou sat there staring at the note for what felt like years as he started to register what was written there. Scrunching up the note and then depositing it into the nearest bin he already started to set up a simply plan to live while he waited for Tohsaka to rescue him, whenever that would be, in his head he planned out a 4 step plan for his temporary life here.
Step 1: Find the Apartment complex Zelretch recommended.
Step 2: Find a Job
Step 3: Avoid whatever made this place one of the Wizard Marshall's favourite viewings
Step 4: Wait for rescue.
He quickly scanned the map that had been provided before setting out for the apartment and if all went well his temporary living conditions.
'A fairly simple plan. What could go wrong?' Shirou though bitterly to himself while also cursing himself for sounding like a certain red dressed bowman.
AN: Well, the adventure begins. Don't expect anything too serious as this is simply a light hearted comedy bit. The chapters will also be pretty short so as to write them out at a fairly decent pace. Probably. Maybe. We'll see.
Anyway It is my first fic and first time writing something like this so I would suggest you try a keep your expectations from being too high.
I'll try and upload the next chapter fairly soon as we are just getting into it but I will have to re-familiarise myself with the source materials and characters to get a better understanding.
