"God you're stupid!" Theo declares as his eyes dart at Mason with a disgusted glare. A look that the human is used to by now.

"I'm stupid for trying to save your life?"

"Shut up! Let me think!"

"You're the one that marched on here alone, and got yourself trapped in an Eight foot freezer chest!"

"This was a supernatural mission only! Keeping pressing at the walls, the slit's gotta be here somewhere!" Theo lightly starts pressing each part of the panels, turning his back on him.

"Thee, calm down okay, I texted Scott. He should be here soon. Let's settle down and keep our oxygen levels up" Mason advised as Theo roughly shook his head, the action dissolving all the colour from his cheeks.

"What did I tell you?" Theo growls. "I told you to go home and stay put! Watch a horror film? Iron Corey's barista apron. You knew this was dangerous!"

"I didn't want you going alone!"

"I told you Kali's gang was deadly! You can't turn up like superman Mase. I told you they shoot to kill!"

"It's part of the job, Thee" Mason licks his lips and starts rubbing his palms together before banging his hand against a panel. A slit breaks open, in shock both of them work together to pound the slit into a larger hole.

"Come on!" Theo whines pounding it with his fist. He motions the human to cover his hands with his sleeves. "When this finally gets bigger, you crawl out and buzz again for help"

"Hey, Thee you've gotta go out first"

"Why?"

"Cause you can kick everyone's ass and make the coast clear for me!"

"I'd love to, but you've gotta go out first"

"I'm not going anywhere while Kali is out there waiting-"

"Cause we don't have much time left in this freezer Mase. I can sense your blood pressure getting low, and your hands are getting numb. You better pray Scott finds us in a hour, tops. Keep banging this with me" Theo runs a shaky hand through his hair as he starts kicking the slit instead. When it's the size of a science textbook, Mason finally stops and leans on the side of the wall.

"Mase?"

"I'm...tired..."

"I'm not Corey, I'm not buying that shit tonight!"

"It's the name of the game" Mason starts rubbing his knees. His fingers getting stiffer with each stroke. "HR all make agents sign fatality clause papers. Going out on...on the field, there's always a chance you won't come back..."

"Mase, hey! Don't close your eyes! You're a tough son of a bitch! Stay with me!"

"I'm here, it's just the live fast get injured young, it's the agent life right... It's what I signed up for"

"Newsflash, you're not an agent, you're a field tech. And I sure as hell didn't sign up to watch you freeze to fucking death! Think of Liam! Think of Corey burning Sunday dinner or something..."

"I'd rather not" Mason slowly crawls back towards the hole with new found energy. Kicking at the hole until it slowly but surely got wider.

"I get it, you don't wanna think of loverboy while you're..."

"No...Thee remember when you made a joke about Josh giving out blows in the Sinema toilets? You were half right, except it was with Corey and they preferred our apartment!" Mason said now banging the hole with anger.

"Oh? No shit!"

"Yeah, so when you told me to go home I really couldn't. I'm now crashing at Li''s! I now, don't have a home to go to...wow you're loving this!" Mason scowls at Theo's blossoming smile.

"You can...you can get through it now, get out..."

"I'm just gonna check..."

"You don't have the fucking time!" Theo slowly begins to push Mase through the metal hole only to instantly regret it when an arrow strikes Mason in the shoulder. He falls back onto the cold frozen floor, the pressure piercing the arrow further into him.

"Wakey wakey human!"

"EAT SHIT KALI!" Theo roars.

"Thee...arrrhhh...go, go..." Mason is whining.

"Are you fucking nuts? I'm not leaving you! Shit this is what I wanted but didn't fucking want!"

"Hmmm?"

"God Mase. Scott's coming, and I'm sorry! I just wanted you away from all this shit! I was smiling, not because I'm a sadist, well you know, I kinda am but...Corey dumped your ass?...Like really?"

"Really..."

"I warned you away because I just wanna save you, from this! You idiot! I wanted to wrap you up in cotton wool and protect you properly. Instead of just trucking by your house like a weirdo at night!"

"Whh..."

"I'd wish I'd known sooner. Shit! I'm horse shit at stuff like this! I'm so used to every girl or guy making the moves and making this fucking easy. Years ago, in the tunnels I knew then. I couldn't get over how beautiful you are. But you had Corey and...you seemed happy" He cradles the silent tech in his arms ignoring the blood that was dripping on his hoodie.

"The main reason I hated Corey was because of you. Because he had you and didn't know that he'd hit the jackpot. He'd party all the time, flirt with every dick going I and just hated him for it. I didn't even want to hear his name in passing you know? Because I'd turn and go nuts. Scott even pointed out that Corey wasn't evil or anything. I just despised him because he woke up to you everyday. I just wanted to throw him off the nearest roof, jealousy's a bitch!" Theo revealed kissing his forehead. "Mase?"

No response, just the eager sound of hurried footsteps...

"Mase! I need you alive asshole! Don't fucking leave me..."

"Theo! We're here!" Scott ever the alpha, peels the whole panel open, like it's a plastic bag. He lets all the paramedics in. They take Mason put him on the stretcher and a breathing mask over his face. Theo's about to go with them when Scott blocks him with lightening speed.

"He followed me here! I didn't ask the nosey fucker to come!"

"Always passing the buck eh Theo? You are the agent. He was your responsibility!" The were scolds.

"I tried to send him home, but YOU...you know what he's like! He jumped into the freezer and the next thing I know..."

"You selfish brat! You haven't even asked if he's going to make it!"

"He's gonna make it McCall, I'd bet my life on it!"

"What the hell were you doing here alone anyway? I told you to stay away from Kali's until you'd assigned at least Ten supernatural agents" Scott said.

"I can handle Kali. That bitch is all bark and no bite!"

"If you can handle alpha gangs you can also handle being suspended!"

"Wait a fucking minute..." Theo waves him off.

"Field techs are forbidden from combat. Do you realise how much deep shit you put this department in?" Scott clenches his fists, eyes now glowing.

"You mean how much I put you in"

"Same difference. Field tech's look up to agents. You knew that Mason was going to go full throttle. After the Corey thing..."

"So the whole squad knew Corey was chasing dick all over town? No-one told me jack shit!"

"For good reason. You're banned from the office, and from Mason's bedside"

"Piss off! You can't control who..."

"Yes the fuck I can. One step into Beacon hills hospital and I will be waiting for you, do you understand?" Scott snaps.

"Sure"

"Sure...what? Look at me and answer me appropriately!"

"Sure thing Mr McCall!" Theo responds politely as Scott steps out of the freezer and goes back to the ambulance.
