A/N: I have a few scenarios in mind. While we have seen Humanity attack the Eliksni of House Light, we have yet to see the acts of kindness that have been rare in the Lore, Chroma Rush excluded seeing as how we all know what happened to Ramen Boy. So, why not show some of the Eliksni having the luck to encounter more open minded individuals?
The soft clatter of rocks occasionally drew the eyes of passing humans above the underpass as Krida and her fellow younglings darted along the waterways, their forms cloaked in the darkness of the simulated night. Out of the corner of her eyes, she noticed a human above spit into the water, his eyes locked onto them as they ran.
Krida ignored the insult as the group jumped a small water outlet and turned down an alleyway. The youngling at the head of their troop screeched to a halt at the end and the four others ran into him, their forms tumbling into a field. A scramble of harsh Eliksni flew from Krida's mouth as she pushed her way out of the pile and looked into the field.
Several dozen pairs of small eyes stared back at them as the humans they belonged to stood frozen in surprise. Many of them narrowed in anger as they turned away and herded some of the children away.
"What? What is going on?!" A voice boomed from the far side of the field.
Krida and the other younglings shrunk when the horned head of Lord Shaxx poked above the parents moving away. She moved one of her shorter brothers behind her and tried her best to look brave as the Titan pushed through the crowd and tilted his head down to look at them.
The faint hum of the Vex simulation filled the air as Shaxx examined them. "What are you younglings doing here?" His voice was paradoxically soft as he knelt to their level.
Krida straightened and looked where she thought his eyes would be. "Were bored at district-home." She gestured to her brothers, most of whom peeked over her shoulders. "Wanted to explore-seek."
Shaxx threw back his head and laughed.
One of Krida's brothers jumped at the sound.
"You seek excitement then? I dare say, you found it." He turned back to the group of remaining children, most of whom watched the interaction with bated breath. "Runa! Lunwabo! Come make our new friends feel welcome!" he boomed.
A pair of Awoken and Human children shoved their way through the crowd and stood beside the Titan. The girl's face was unreadable as she stared at the group of Eliksni while the boy clutched his book to his chest.
Shaxx pointed to the girl. "This is Runa," his hand clapped onto the boy's shoulder and the boy fumbled to catch his book, "and this is Lunwabo." He straightened and stood proud of the two. "They'll teach you how to play the game I've been teaching them."
Krida looked at the two children, then at the field where two buckets and a ball lay forgotten in the grass, then back to Shaxx. "What is the game?"
Shaxx planted his fists on his hips and one could hear the joy in his voice. "Rift."
