So this story is based on a comic I saw a while ago on Pinterest. I don't remember the name of the comic or who made it. If you know the person or know which comic that I'm writing about, please let me know so I can give them the credit they deserve. I, in know way, own the comic, but I do love the concept of it which inspired me to write this short story.

Cedric was easily frightened by King Roland. So much so, that he didn't even want to proclaim his love for Sofia in fear that King Roland might chop off his head. Sofia, herself, was a little worried about her father too. Not because King Roland was a terrible person, far from it. He was just incredibly protective and there would no doubt be people who didn't approve of the relationship between Sofia (19) and Cedric (44). In the end, they both agreed to keep their relationship a secret, minus Sofia's animal friends who of course knew the situation. Clover and the birds couldn't talk to anyone anyway, but Sofia still asked that they didn't announce the work of her and Cedric's relationship. There are animals after all that can talk, and if word got out Sofia might not hear the end of it from her family.

Regardless, the two did spend a lot of time together both in a friendly manner (when they were in the presents of the royal family) and in a slightly more intimate manner in private (i.e. Cuddling, holding hands, kisses on the cheek, etc.) They would often rondeau in secret areas to enjoy themselves and whisper sweet nothing in each other's ear.

This time they choose the castle garden. It wasn't the most private place, but given that the castle had a maze, it was easy to sneak in when no one was looking to steal a kiss or two.

Cedric arrived first, giddy as a schoolboy. He tried to act like he was off getting ingredients for some unnamed potion, but there was no denying he had a cheeky grin on his face. The thought of being caught by someone was both frightening and exciting as well. It left his heart pounding and made him a little more desperate to steal some sweet kisses from his dear princess. He would be lying if he said the thrill wasn't addictive. It most certainly was and he's more than sure that Sofia liked it too. There was something thrilling about it that neither could understand, almost like a game they were playing with each other.

"You're late," he whispered upon seeing Sofia step in from behind a large bush. The princess giggled quietly, eagerly grabbing his hands and pressing a quick kiss to the tip of his nose. "Sorry," she said, "Amber wanted me to decide which dress she should wear for the upcoming ball this evening."

Cedric groaned at the thought. Balls weren't his thing. He wasn't a social person by any means, and normally he would gladly stay behind, but since a lot of neighboring princes were going to attend, many of whom liked Sofia in a romantic way, he felt it was his duty, as her (boy)friend, to keep her safe from their advances. They could be ruthless at times and didn't give his poor love a break.

Sofia nodded in empathy, she didn't like these kinds of balls either and for the same reason as Cedric. She already knew that a few of her old Royal Prep friends would be attending and some would undoubtedly try to dance with her. She didn't mind dancing, of course, but when they tried to earn her favor with their shameless flirting she felt uncomfortable by them.

Needless to say, the couple dreaded tonight.

"Well, hopefully, she'll be the center of attention," Cedric sighed, running his fingers through Sofia's silky hair. He hummed and leaned in to kiss her, but was stopped by Sofia's dainty finger, "Cedric, what if someone sees us?" She didn't sound too worried, but then again they weren't too far into the maze. Someone could easily come by and see them together.

Cedric grinned pulling out his family wand from his large sleeve, "Not to worry, my dear. I know an invisibility spell." He cast a quick spell, turning himself and Sofia invisible. However, now they were invisible to each other.

"Sofia, where are you?" Cedric asked, taking a step, his foot crunched Sofia's making her yelp. "Ouch! Cedric, you're stepping on my foot."

"I'm sorry! Maybe we should try and reverse this. I can't see you anywhere." He said and received a sharp elbow in his arm, "Ouch!"

"Sorry," Sofia said, "I can't see you."

"Don't worry, I'll just reverse this." He palmed around his robe, "Where' is my wand?"

"Cedric, that's my elbow."

"Sorry!"

"Is there a way we can reverse this without a wand?"

"..."

"Cedric?"

"Oh Merlin's Mushrooms, I should have thought this through."

AN: Yay! I'm so happy to be a part of Cedfia Week. Special thanks to AquaTurquoise for telling me about it and including me in. I hope I did this couple justice. I hope you guys have enjoyed my Cedfia stories, even if you're not a fan of the ship or are even an AntiCedfia writer, I at least hope you gave it a chance. Thank you for reading and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
