The Hunter's Dream.
With Oedon having very understandable issues with the idea of having a child, being pregnant and giving birth, considering what happened to Queen Yharnarm and Mergo, I had long decided to wait before having any biological children. Thus, even after gaining lover after lover, I had held back on giving any of them children.
The only exception to that rule was Sherry, and there were a number of reasons why she was the exception to that rule, starting with the fact that she was adopted, which was something that Oedon was far more comfortable with.
Great Ones, surrogates and all that.
Even so, there was no question that all of my wives had longed for the idea of starting a family. Even if they understood, even if they all came to love Oedon and sympathize with her, even with Sherry to dote on, all of my wives still felt that instinctual desire to have children and raise a family.
It took a great deal of self-control on their part for them to never push the subject, arguably made worse by our very, very active sex life.
There were more than a few times where, after a long night of sex, I had caught a few of my wives giving longing looks at their own flat bellies, clearly disappointed by the lack of children born from our couplings.
Of course, over time that desire began to fade away, as there always was more work and things to do to occupy their attention. But that inherent desire for children never really left, and honestly I didn't want it to.
Sherry was a delight to have in our lives, and I was more than eager to have children myself. Then I created the Aeons and Damelone, who in their own ways could be considered my children, and it made me eager to have children with my wives all the more.
If I could adopt, if I could create, then why shouldn't I be able to have children with my wives?
But of course, it wasn't quite so simple. I was king now, and thus some matters needed to be done carefully.
My first child had to be born from Azathoth, if only to make clear who the Heir of the Eldritch Kingdom was. Obviously, such things were less important for eternal beings like we Eldritch, but even so it just made good sense.
Still, I had a lot of things to do, so for a time I put things off. The matter of the Infernal realms needed to be tackled. Alliances needed to be built, and much more besides.
But then, I finally took my throne, the Abyss was sealed for now, Abaddon had bent the knee, Hell was growing more divided and powerless to act against me, and the alliances I sought were growing stronger by the day.
And so I was finally free to act on my desires, and very gleefully proceeded to breed my new queen silly in every position I could think of while on my new throne. Needless to say, it had been an incredibly enjoyable experience.
But by doing so, I had absolutely opened the metaphorical floodgates. After all, if the royal line was secured, then what was stopping me and my wives from having children?
Which explained why my wives and a few friendly goddesses were all cooing and mobbing Azathoth, who was somewhere between glowing with happiness and hilariously panicked over her new status as being pregnant with our first son.
"Have you thought of any names?" Oedon.
"I wonder if he'll take more after his father or mother…" Claire.
"I dread the thought of an overpowered god-prince with Aeon's sense of humour!" Lucy.
"Well, maybe he'll take after his mother! He'll certainly be less of a terror that way…" Jill.
"Oh, Aza, I'm so happy! It's been so long since you had a child!" Ah, that was Shub-Niggurath.
"Please don't let him eat the space-Time continuum… We really need that intact…" Yog-Sothoth.
"You truly look radiant, my queen." Nusha.
"Agreed. Motherhood does you well." Alexstrasza.
And on it goes, as everyone clearly had an opinion on the situation.
"More tea, my king?" asked Nctosa in her maid outfit, with her sister nearby working as well.
"Yes, please. Thank you." I told her with a smile, before once again focusing on the chaotic spectacle currently taking place in front of me, watching it all with a mix of bemusement and amusement.
Azathoth was in the middle of this chaos, a glowing smile on her face with one of her hands always seemingly resting over her womb, where the first spark of divine life within could be felt by everyone with magical sense.
I could sense her sheer joy, glowing to my eyes like a quintillion Big Bangs' worth of warmth, light and pure happiness over the fact that she was pregnant with our first child. Reality itself seems to shine with warmth around her, as if the very concepts of sadness and darkness simply couldn't exist in her very presence anymore.
It was honestly fascinating to watch the way Azathoth subconsciously warped reality as a whole around her, as the happiness of the Queen of Creation was literally contagious. All across Reality within the Prime Multiverse, people suddenly found it easier to be happy, couples suddenly found themselves more capable than ever to make their relationships work, and of course Life as a whole was affected.
Formerly lifeless worlds were suddenly gaining life, people everywhere more easily had children or even wanted to have children, people tended to have more children by pregnancies than before…
The entire Prime Multiverse, if not beyond, was going to experience a gigantic baby boom out of nowhere, and it was going to be quite spectacular to watch it all unfold.
Naturally, the Eldritch Pantheon were throwing yet another party, thiçs time over the fact that the Eldritch Kingdom already had an Heir on the way, and I knew that jokes were flying around about quickly me and Azathoth had "secured the royal line and did our duty."
The Eldritch were very used to long timetables after all, so the repeated good news hitting one after another was seen as very surprising… in all the best of ways.
Well, no one was complaining. Or if they were, then they were doing so very carefully, because after the truth bomb of a revelation that I could allow Eldritch Gods to go back and forth in and out of the material universe at will, I was now considered the most important asset to the entire Eldritch Pantheon… ever.
True, I was already considered as the most important person simply because of my relationship with Azathoth, but the whole ability to traverse dimensions at will just made every Eldritch God suddenly desperate to not just be respectful to me, but outright want me thinking very, very well of me.
I had to create new Vaults bigger than entire galaxies with the depths of the Hunter's Dream from all the stuff the Eldritch Gods had already gifted me in an attempt to buy some goodwill for them.
Artifacts not seen since eons before Humanity came to be, since the damn solar system came to be, were brought out and gifted to me in numbers that made the various pantheons beyond the Eldritch aware of those artifacts almost faint at the idea of any one being possessing them all.
The Eldritch Pantheon was doing the equivalent of throwing everything and the kitchen sink at me in an effort to buy me out, and it was simultaneously hilarious and overwhelming.
The only reason I hadn't lost count of the sheer numbers of servants of all kinds and species the Eldritch Pantheon were suddenly gifting me was that I was an omniscient god! I had to come up with a damn cosmic-scale spreadsheet to keep proper track of it all, and assign those people up to countless different tasks that would keep them busy!
I had to assign millions of my Aeons to simply keep an eye on everyone and create an efficient system where new "gifted" servants would immediately be given a task and set to work!
I had enough people gifted to me as my new servants that I could colonize entirely new galaxies, for cosmos' sake!
True, it was certainly incredibly useful to me, but I had gone from effectively having no loyal manpower beyond the Aeons at my disposal… to suddenly having more mortals and immortals at my service than the population of entire star empires!
"Troubled, my King?" asked Kassogtha.
"No, no, just… thinking deeply on the results of my coronation." I told her with a smile.
"You certainly made for quite the entrance into our Pantheon, my king." replied Kass with clear amusement.
I held back a snort. That was a massive understatement.
"It feels like absolutely everyone suddenly wants to try and see if I can be drowned under all the gifts sent my way." I said wryly.
Kass' lips twitched upwards, her eyes twinkling.
"I believe that I heard one of your children describe it as 'suffering from success.' Still, I'm sure that you'll survive." she joked.
"Oh, I most definitely will, but it still is overwhelming to see just how much the gods are desperate to gain my favour. I expected it, foresaw it coming even, but it's another thing entirely to see it happen with my own eyes." I told her.
Kass accepted a new cup of tea from her daughter with a warm smile, and the warmth in her eyes remained just as strong when she looked back at me.
"You gave those without hope a chance to finally be happy again, my king. And for those already happy and thriving, you gave them the promise of even greater prosperity. That means a lot to a lot of people." Including me, went unsaid but not unheard.
She took a sip of her tea, then froze.
Her eyes darted to the cup, then at her daughter, who suddenly began looking elsewhere in a very unsuccessful attempt to look busy and innocent.
"Nctosa… Why is there a potent aphrodisiac and fertility drug in the tea?" slowly asked Kass.
Nctosa flushed. "I have no idea what you mean." she tried to say convincingly.
Key word being "try."
"It seems that your daughters too, have some ideas on how to repay me and gain my favour… Especially when I saw them drink some themselves while glancing at us." I said with amusement.
Kass froze, before she flushed. "I… My king, I… I'll speak with them! Don't worry, this won't happen again-"
I chuckled. "It's fine, honestly I'm more amused than anything, though they definitely must never do so again." The sudden stern look at Nctosa made her tense before she frantically nodded her head.
Satisfied, I looked at the maid with a smirk, and my next words were heard only by her. "Besides, I'm much more curious if you can convince your mother to join you and your sister to present yourselves to me with only a collar on all three of you in my bedroom one day."
Nctosa froze, but turning so red I was seriously curious if she was going to spontaneously combust.
The look she gave me next, however, made it clear that she was absolutely imagining the scene in her mind… and very much enjoying it greatly.
Her eyes flickered to her mother, and I could see her picture Kass with just a collar on and nothing else, before she looked back at me… and winked.
My lips twitched.
Well then.
It seems like I'm going to fuck both the Eldritch equivalent of Helen of Troy, and her twin daughters as well.
It truly was good to be the King.
I looked back at Kass, who was looking suspiciously at her daughter, a hint of red still clear on her cheeks, and her gaze refusing to settle on me for more than a second.
Thing was, it was just embarrassment that was making her blush, not when her gaze flickered towards Azathoth with a thoughtful, slightly envious look.
I caught Yog glancing our way, a knowing look in her eyes, and I couldn't help but smirk at her.
She tried to smirk back smugly, to pretend that she was in control… But then I mentally shared my memories of her and Shub watching over me and Azathoth having sex on my throne, and she suddenly froze, looking away instantly while trying to hide her blushing cheeks.
I had to hold back my urge to laugh. Stars, but those Eldritch goddesses were thirsty!
And far more awkward about it than I would have thought. These were hardly blushing schoolgirls after all, but Eldritch Goddesses…
Then again, between my Perks, and the fact that I was basically catnip for emotionally vulnerable eldritch goddesses, perhaps that was to be expected.
I almost felt bad about having them wrapped around my fingers. Almost.
Then Oedon glanced my way, grinned knowingly, sent me the equivalent of a mental thumb up, and I couldn't help but chuckle. Figures that my first wife was even now trying to set me up with more women to take to our bed.
I truly corrupted her to be just as greedy when it came to women.
I looked away, towards Azathoth, who gave me a smile so bright it could put the sun to shame forever.
Damn, what a ridiculously lucky man I was.
"Hey, Aeon! When will you bend me over and impregnate me on top of your throne?" shouted Claire with a shit-eating grin on her face.
"Claire!" shouted Rebecca, blushing.
"What? We're all thinking about it!" Claired replied with a shrug and a smirk. "Aeon's king, and he already knocked up Azathoth. It's about time we all follow up and turn into the equivalent of giant whales with bellies full of Eldritch babies!"
"That sounds like a great idea!" approved Shub with a delighted smile, to no one's surprise. Obviously the Mother of a Thousand Youngs would approve of women being pregnant.
Though I was one of the few capable of noticing the envy and desire in her expression as she looked at my wives. She wasn't just thinking of my wives when she thought about me impregnating everyone…
Yog glanced at me, her brows furrowed as she tried to find when exactly I will follow through on making all of my wives mothers… And then it turned into a deep frown when the answer kept bouncing wildly across the timeline.
I chuckled at Claire's words, and gave her a mischievous smile, pointedly not glancing at Oedon as I spoke the answer.
"Don't worry, I'm sure that you'll get what you want sooner rather than later." I told her.
But first, Yharnam. Then… Then, everything will be ready.
Ah, I was excited. After so long, it would be something of a homecoming… and a final turn of the page on my beginnings.
I smiled.
Soon.
I smiled contentedly, sitting down on top of the hill with the Great tree where Gerhman and I fought, with Azathoth sitting down between my legs with her back pressed against my chest, my arms around her waist holding her against me, as we looked into the distance and the starry night sky of the Hunter's Dream.
A simple moment of peace and serenity, before we both had to go and tackle all the many, many duties waiting for us as king and queen of the Eldritch Kingdom.
"I could stay like this forever." mused Azathoth, a look of pure contentment on her own face. "Sitting there with you holding me in your arms, feeling the warmth of your presence against mine, as we simply enjoy being together for all eternity."
I chuckled. "As fun as that sound, I'm already far too lustful to not spend at least some time making you bounce on my cock every night."
Aza blushed slightly, her golden eyes gleaming with amusement and her own lust.
"Well, I suppose that adding sexy times would be very fun too. I've certainly gotten already far too addicted to spending every night making love to you, beloved, to ever want to stop doing so." she remarked with some humour.
I chuckled. "Would you look at that, I have corrupted the Queen of the Eldritch herself into an insatiable lustful beast!" My voice turned into a perfect deadpan. "Oh no, I'm in danger."
Aza bursted into giggling, her golden eyes gleaming with mirth.
"Ahahahah! Says the one who I know wants nothing more than to ravish me, again." she purred, squirming and shaking her tight ass against my groin.
"Peace, beast. I shall ruin your wonderfully tight ass tonight, but not before, or we'll spend all day fucking like animals." I said flatly, but the way my lips twitched in amusement showed my true colours.
"You make it sound like it'd be a bad thing." Aza grinned.
I snorted. "And here I thought I was the insatiable one here." I shook my head with a grin, before my voice softened. "But no, right now, I just want to enjoy a peaceful moment with you. There's so much work to do, a war to prepare, and a kingdom to rule… But right now, there's only the two of us enjoying ourselves in peace, and I don't want to ruin that."
Aza's smile turned soft as well, a gentle smile crossing her lips. "I know. And you're right. A lot of things are going to happen quickly, now that you have taken your throne. I'm sorry that you ended up with so many responsibilities by choosing to love me." she said quietly, some amount of guilt in her voice.
"Nonsense." I said firmly. "I know myself well enough that I would have worked hard to make reality a better place, with or without becoming your husband. If anything, you just helped me have the resources I need to help my vision come to pass much sooner and much more easily. I regret nothing, Aza, so don't feel guilty for anything."
My arms gently hugged her harder. "I love you, and you're absolutely worth any and all headache that being King can ever give me."
Aza's smile was almost glowing with joy at my words, and she snuggled deeper into my chest, a soft look on her face.
"I didn't think I could ever be so happy." she muttered, one of her hands resting over her womb. "I'm so, so glad to have been proven wrong."
I could have left it at that, but there was one thing I felt needed to be addressed, if only to properly communicate about it.
"I know… Though I feel like I owe you an apology, since we both know that I will always love more than just you… and that, as I continue to explore the omniverse, that fact will only grow." I said softly, this time being the one to feel guilt.
Aza smiled sadly. "I know. Oedon will always have a special place in your heart, and even beyond her you are a greedy man, beloved. You wish to enjoy your life to the fullest, and that includes loving those you are attracted to without hesitation or limits. A part of me feels bitter over the fact that, as the only man I have and will ever love, you cannot fully return my feelings."
I winced, but Aza kept going, her smile just as soft and gentle as ever.
"And yet, I also do not mind it as much as I'd thought. The peace that being with Oedon brings you, the joy you find in spending time with those you love, the passion you hold for all of us you took as wives… A part of me feels proud of having, even if indirectly, created all of these people who bring such joy in your heart. I am the creator of Existence, and to see your delight over all that I have wrought, to see you value all that I have created like this… It pleases me more than I can put into words." Aza continued, a warm lok in her golden eyes.
She turned her head, looking up into my own eyes.
"Above all else, beloved, I want you to be happy." she said softly. "Now and for the rest of eternity, I want you to be happy, and if you find happiness in claiming these living shards of my Creation, then I will do all that I can to help you have them. Because-"
One of her hands rose up, holding my face with absolute tenderness, her golden eyes never wavering as she looked deeply into my eyes.
"-I can feel your love for me, Beloved. I can feel it like the warmth of a star upon my skin, shining forevermore and giving me life beyond anything I ever thought I could experience. And I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that no matter how long we live, no matter how many eons pass, and no matter how many women you come to love… You will always love me as fiercely as you do right now." She declared, before her lips curled into a grin. "You are just too greedy to ever, ever let me go, beloved… And so am I."
I stared into her golden eyes, seeing the pure, absolute love within them, and without hesitation leaned down to kiss her deeply, passionately, making her moan and shudder in bliss in my arms.
I don't think I could ever be fully worthy of a woman as wonderful as Azathoth… But that was alright.
I had all eternity to try, after all.
She was right, after all. We were both far too greedy to ever, ever let one another go.
The Eldritch Kingdom, capital Birch World of Azat-Tah, 655th layer.
Xathla smiled brightly at the holo-camera, the news anchor woman, a shoggoth who spent over a million years working hard to get where she was right now, currently having a humanoid form mostly reminiscent of a human woman, if with light purple skin and with a dozen glowing yellow eyes scattered all over her body on top of the two where humans had them.
Humans and humanoid species were currently the ones most focused on lately, considering that their new God-King was a former human himself, which naturally had a large part of the eldritch population interested in everything "human."
Whether it was trying to convert more humans to eldritch worship, or even literally seducing them (for one night stand or more longer commitments), there were countless Eldritch that had taken it up upon themselves to greatly deepened the influence and connection of the Eldritch with humanity, and humanoid species in general.
Funnily, the ones going for literal seduction were actually proving more successful than the ones trying to convert humans to eldritch worship. With most humans already having gods, relatively few were willing to embrace the eldritch faith, though considering the sheer effort involved it still meant that trillions of humans across the Prime Multiverse were now worshipping one or more Eldritch gods.
And yet, somehow actual seduction was working better on humans than religious conversion. The numbers of human-eldritch couples had never been higher, and that number was only growing with time. There was even a building interest in Shoggoth acting as maids and butlers for human nobles and leaders in generals, something about how they were considered "exotic beauties."
There were quite a few Shoggoths interested in doing that, especially as their species had always been in hard times. With no patron gods, and with them having waged war against their creators for their freedom, Shoggoth had few allies, and so anyone willing to hire and protect them were gifts that her people couldn't afford to pass up on.
Either way, it was time for her to do her job, and she had exciting news to share! Admittedly, it seems like they always had those nowadays, ever since the Queen of the Eldritch found herself a husband, but this news was absolutely going to be important for everyone!
"Greetings, everyone!" She said cheerfully. "This is Xathla of Eldritch Whispers Communion, and today we have incredible news to share with you all! As everyone knows, the Coronation of King Aeon recently ended on the spectacular news that the King had the power to allow Eldritch Gods to enter or leave the material universe at will! Ever since, the Pantheon had sent a flurry of requests to the King to allow the Gods to walk amongst their mortal followers, and in a hundred cases already, those requests have already been granted! Worlds at risk of destruction, whether by hostile species or natural catastrophe, have been saved by the sudden direct intervention of the gods, allowing the civilizations upon them to keep praising the glory of the gods as any good eldritch should! But today, while we have many recordings of worlds saved by divine miracles to show you, the most important bit of news is far more important than even all of that!"
Xathla took a deep, dramatic breath, letting the moment build up with tension, before she released the incredible news that they had been informed of:
"Queen Azathoth, greatest of the gods, is already pregnant with a son!" She declared brightly.
Xathla didn't need to see people's reactions to her words to imagine them. She herself had almost turned into a puddle out of sheer shock at the news, her control over her form slipping over the sheer enormity of the information that had been given to them by representatives of the Eldritch Court.
Queen Azathoth only had a few children, and two of them were essentially unwilling to leave the Void the vast majority of the time.
And the other was Nyarlathotep, which… requires no explanation.
So to learn that Queen Azathoth was already pregnant with an Heir to the throne, a son no less rather than a daughter as were all of her previous children, it was a shock to everyone. Sure, they had expected the Queen to have more children now that she was married, but with the King having had only an adopted mortal daughter and created servants, despite his known numerous wives, well, everyone had expected to have to wait a few eons before this news.
But no, apparently the Gods had decided otherwise, and already the first royal child was on the way.
"As of yet, the name of the future Heir to the Eldritch Thrones is unknown, though it is only a matter of time before it becomes publicly known. With this news naturally comes a lot of questions, starting with the potential divine domains that the child will possess once he is grown. It is expected for the child to be a powerful Outer God, considering the sheer power of both parents, though only time will reveal if that is confirmed. Of course, it also leaves another question: Will the other wives of the King become pregnant as well? With the first child of the King to be born from the Queen, none can doubt their right as Heir to the thrones, especially since the three children of Azathoth already have confirmed that the future son of the Queen shall be officially recognized as Heir. Thus, shall we expect the King to have children with his other wives, or will he wait further before committing to fully starting a large family? Speculation abounds on what this means for the future, but without a doubt, it is yet another proof that a new Golden Age is upon the Eldritch Kingdom!" she declared brightly.
And to be fair, she actually wasn't exaggerating about it. Having King Aeon already boosted the economy of the Eldritch kingdom greatly, as investors across reality saw his rise to power as good tidings for the kingdom, and the revelation of his ability to allow Eldritch gods into the material universe had only strengthened that belief.
To say nothing of the growing alliance between the Eldritch Pantheon and many of the Great Powers of Reality, such as the Heavenly Realms, Axis, and Abaddon.
The economy was booming, the military was marshaling for war, the faiths were thriving, the Eldritch kingdom was going to have more allies than ever before, and the future genuinely looked bright, despite the war to come.
So the news of the Queen having a child was just another excellent news amongst so many others. Oh, certainly there were always bad things happening somewhere, reality was too big for it to be otherwise, but overall the Eldritch Kingdom itself was thriving.
"Already, many of the Gods and the leaders of the Eldritch Kingdom have given their congratulations, declaring that this news was but another step taken towards the bright future that King Aeon swore to us all. Lord Cthulhu of Earth, who since his grand return thanks to the King has been one of his fiercest supporters, has this to say: 'This is an Age of Rebirth, for both my people and those of the Eldritch as a whole. In this Age of glory, where the limitations and the tragedies of the past are overcome and healed, the news that the Queen will have a new Heir is a testament to us all that we must focus on creating a brighter future for all. An Age where Life triumphs over Death, where prosperity triumphs over mediocrity, and where all can look into the future with confidence that their dreams will become reality. As the King said: Glory eternal awaits us all, and right now is the time to seize it for the rest of eternity.'"
She smiled. "Of course, Lord Cthulhu is but one of the many praising the new King. High Priest Hectloa has this to say-"
Nirvana, Gathering of the Gods.
Sarenrae, the Dawnflower, the Healing Flame, the Everlight, one of the greatest Goddesses of Nirvana, looked around her at the massive room they were in with a sensation of deep déja-vu.
Once again, the gods had gathered for a briefing of utmost importance. And once again, it had to do with the latest moves from the Eldritch Pantheon.
They all had expected many things to change since the rise of King Aeon to his throne, but to be fair they hadn't expected the revelation he gave of being able to allow Eldritch Gods to utter the material universe at will.
That single elevation had thrown every plan the Heavenly realms had towards the Eldritch Pantheon into the nearest fire. They had expected the Gods to still be bound to the Void, not suddenly be free to come and go as they pleased!
It certainly explained why King Aeon was so confident in a victory against the Infernal Realms. Without any limitations on how many of the Eldritch Gods he could send on the battlefields of the Material Realm, then he could leverage the full might of the Eldritch pantheon… In all of its considerable power.
However, checking over the moves of the Eldritch Pantheon since their ability to travel as they desire isn't the only reason why they had been gathered here today.
No, the other bit of news she had been informed of was just as shocking in its own right.
And it was that bit of news that had caused every god involved with Golarion to be especially interested in this briefing, considering the impossibility of what had just happened.
Kelinahat, Archon Empyrean Lady of spies, stealth, and the gathering of Intelligence entered, her black wings fluttering in the air, the spymistress of the Heavenly realm walking with a serious look on her face considering the importance of the topics at hand today.
"Assembled Lord and Ladies, it is my honor today to host this meeting in the names of all three Heavenly Realms." Kelinahat declared, her purple eyes looking around the gathering of the most powerful beings of all three Realms. "As you know, with King Aeon's Coronation came the revelation of his ability to allow any Eldritch Gods to enter the Material Realm if he so chooses. That revelation alone sent shockwaves across reality, and we already confirmed that it was no empty boast, as the numbers of Eldritch Gods entering the material Realm recently has spiked to previously never seen before level. While many of those gods only entered the material realm for specific purposes such as saving a planet of cultists from destruction or other such things, others are obviously there to stay for much longer periods of time."
She took a breath. "We naturally have closely monitored any and all Eldritch gods entering the Material Realms as a way to both identify their numbers and understand their goals, and we shall explain all that we learn later on in this meeting. However, as important as this matter is, for both short to long term, there is another matter that has just taken place and needs to be addressed."
Her eyes met many of the Gods present, her expression betraying just the slightest hint of lingering disbelief.
"Rovagug, the Rough Beast of the Golarion galaxy, sealed at its center by some of the oldest gods amongst us, is dead and gone, never to return. It has been killed… Or perhaps I should say, executed by what one man." she declared, the sheer enormity of her words leaving a stunned silence amongst all present who weren't already informed.
"How?!"
"That's impossible!"
"That's absurd!"
"How did it happen?"
"Who could have done such a thing?!"
"The Gods themselves could only seal it away! How was it killed?!"
Such shouts and screams of disbeliefs echoed like a raging storm across the wide chambers of the meeting place of the Gods, as everyone tried to grapple with the revelation at hand.
Rovagug, the Rough Beast of the Golarion galaxy, was a monster of cosmic power that required the aid of many of the oldest and most powerful gods in existence to seal away. It was born when Creation was still young, and such was its ability to devour anything it desires that not even the farthest and weirdest realms in existence were safe from its predation. It consumed countless worlds in its life, finding delight in the suffering and death of sentient life, and so great was its power that it even rampaged across the Orderly realm of Axis once upon a time, the damage the beast inflicted on the realm remaining even to this day, such is its power.
It took the beast turning its attention to several powerfully defended worlds such as Earth, Androffa, and some of the most important homeworlds of species in the Golarion galaxy for an alliance of gods to form to battle the beast, gods such as Abadar, Apsu, Asmodeus, Calistria, Dahak, Desna, Dou-Bral, Erastil, Gozreh, Pharasma, and Torag, along with a number of other gods from more remote parts of the multiverse, some of them Eldritch.
The ensuing battle was one of the greatest clashes of the divine in Reality's history, bringing with it the death of many lesser gods who fell before the might of the Rough Beast, and even the survivors of the battle could only seal the abomination at the center of the Golarion galaxy rather than kill it.
And still, it kept causing trouble, as Sarenrae herself was tricked into pushing for a colony to be created close to the beast's prison to try and prevent dark forces to open the seal, only for the people of the colony to be corrupted by the beast, at which point she had to smite the colony out of existence… Which ended up causing a hole in the seal anyway.
It remained to this day one of her greatest failures, as the hole in the seal caused many lesser beasts created by Rovagug to be freed and start causing destruction in turn.
In the end, the power of the beast was said to be so great, that in time it would bring the end of the Golarion galaxy, and countless others realms besides. It was prophesied to bring the End Times to countless civilizations, and all the gods could do was buy as much time as possible before that dark fate came to be.
So naturally, the thought that anyone managed to kill the beast for good, much less by themselves, was utterly absurd. It simply shouldn't be possible, as even Yahweh might not be capable of killing the abomination (Though whether that was true or not was obviously unknown, and the Lord of Eden had never given an answer one way or the other.)
Still, the beast had been a constant lingering worry for the Heavenly Realms, a threat powerful enough that even the alliance of some of the greatest gods in existence, including Asmodeus, the Lord of Hell himself, could not defeat for good.
And now, it is gone. Killed utterly and forevermore, just like that.
"It has been confirmed without a shadow of a doubt. The Beast is dead." declared Kelinahat firmly. "All remaining cultists of the beast have been rendered powerless. Its greatest children have been slain. And the one who did the deed is actually known to us already, though until now we only had suspicion of his power."
She touched an holographic display, and an image displayed a man who recently became known to the Heavenly Realms, though only peripherally…
Until now.
"As some of you may remember, this man is the Hero Saitama, the lover of the adopted daughter of King Aeon Starlight. Known as the greatest hero in his world, and by all indications held in utmost respect by the King of the Eldritch and his servants, we previously had only suspicions that his level of power was far beyond what most anyone would consider possible. But recent events have completely upended everything we thought he was capable of." Kelinahat stared at the image of the bald hero with a complicated mix of awe, disbelief, and unease.
"How did this mortal man kill the beast?" asked Sarenrae, as it was one of the greatest questions she had ever since she got the news. "Some kind of powerful weapon given to him by the Eldritch King?"
"I heard he was alone, but surely he must have allies by his side, right?" asked Iomedae.
"No." replied Kelinahat to their shock. "He used no weapon, nor was he backed up by any allies. He entered the hole in the seal alone, and confronted the Beast within along with its legions of monsters by himself, without a weapon."
"Are you saying he killed Rovagug with his bare hands?" exclaimed Calistria with stunned disbelief.
"That is exactly what I'm saying." bluntly said Kelinahat. "Moreover, it wasn't even a fight. The Hero killed the beast with a single punch."
Silence.
Pure, absolute silence.
Not even the revelation that Queen Azathoth found herself a king brought as much shock as those words. As shocking as the idea of the Eldritch Queen finding a husband had been, none of them were personally familiar with the Queen. But many present remember well Rovagug remember the destruction it unleashed and the raw power it possessed, and found themselves struck silent at the enormity of the words.
Kelinahat continued, heedless of the shock of all present. "We actually have a recording of the event, as an Aeon of the Eldritch King was there to monitor the event. Please watch closely, as this is incredibly valuable information."
The room darkened and the recording appeared within the holographic display, showing the bald hero look at the hole in the seal created by Sarenrae's power.
Some time ago, the center of the Golarion galaxy.
Saitama peered down the hole, looking curiously at the monsters he could see everywhere deeper inside the caverns of this place.
"Well, there are definitely a lot of monsters there. That kinda reminds me of that whole Monster Conglomeration thing a while back… Or was it the Monster Club Association?"
Saitama scratched his chin, then shrugged. "Whatever." He turned towards the creation of Aeon, some kind of featureless humanoid guy with four forearms per arm that each split off at the elbow and an eye on each palm, clad in a black cloak.
Weird looking-dude, but he'd seen much stranger, especially since Aeon became a king of some very strange looking-folks.
Pretty friendly ones though, so that really was all that mattered.
"So, that Rovadude thing is in there?" he asked.
The guy nodded.
Saitama peered down again into the hole, then shrugged. He was a hero, there were monsters that needed to die, and Aeon asked for a favour out of him.
Saitama asked for a lifetime of free pizzas in exchange. Aeon didn't even hesitate to say yes.
Frankly, Saitama felt he was stealing from his friend for making a deal like that. Kill a monster and get free pizzas for life? This had to be the best deal in the history of humanity or something!
Still, Saitama wasn't going to back down. Free pizzas for life?
There really wasn't any need to think more about all of this!
"Ok."
And then he jumped in.
Immediately, he felt the place gave him the creeps. It was dark, filled with monsters crawling absolutely everywhere, and frankly even in his experience he had never seen a worse place to live in than this.
And supposedly, some people actually created a colony near this place?
… Then again, he did live above an entire Monster club or something and didn't find out until years later…
Never mind. He should just focus on killing the monsters, they were already screeching something fierce and rushing at him.
SSSSSSSSSSSSSKKKKKKKKKKKKKRRRRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEE-*
"Shut up!" he shouted, punching forward.
He didn't punch too hard, there was no need after all, as the monsters were pretty weak. The shockwave of his blow rippled through the air, turning thousands, maybe millions of monsters into bloody paste on the ground.
For a moment Saitama smiled slightly at the sudden silence.
Then the entire cave SHOOK, a wordless roar echoing from deep within the cave, and Saitama's eyes noticed that his punch ended up destroying all kinds of weird squiggly lines that covered up the place.
… It probably wasn't important.
Anyway, more importantly was the absolute SWARM of monsters suddenly rushing at him, his eyes going wide at their sheer numbers.
"Wow!" he exclaimed. "Is it some kind of weird monster colony thing?"
They all rushed at him, but obviously Saitama was faster, and he PUNCHED again forward.
More dead monsters, more broken squiggly lines, even louder roars from a really big monster.
Saitama shrugged. In his experience, the bigger they are, the easier they die from his punches, so he didn't really care.
Aeon already told him that the monster he was here to kill wasn't as strong as either of them, so he was just here to get his lifetime supply of free pizzas and he could go home happy.
More monsters came, and more, and more, each punch killing countless of them and breaking more squiggly lines, until suddenly the whole cavern SHOOK again.
"Wow, what-" Saitama fell silent as suddenly the cavern ceased to exist, along with all of his surroundings.
He was now floating in space, blinking in mild surprise while a horrifyingly loud ROAR echoed all around him, his eyes settling on what had to be the monster he was here for.
His eyebrows raised slightly at the sheer size of the beast, which could give entire continents a run for their money.
It faintly looked like a giant spider, with countless limbs and a massive body, but there were no eyes and only a gigantic maw currently open and releasing a scream so powerful that it bent reality around the monster.
Saitama frowned, one finger going in his right ear to shake off the slightly ringing in his mind, before scowling at the monster who was STILL screaming.
He scowled. "Oy! SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Saitama bent his knees, and then using the floating bit of rock he was on he jumped, moving in a blink of an eye in front of the beast.
"I WANT MY PIZZAS!" he screamed, before punching the beast hard enough that it utterly exploded into a billion chunks of meat and green blood, splattering all over him in the process.
"Glck! Bah! Sppt! Gah It's in my mouth eeeww!"
He spit and shuddered at the taste of the monster's blood, so utterly foul that he was sure that he'd never tasted anything so horrible, before turning when Aeon's weird faceless son showed up, throwing him multiple thumbs up.
He grinned and gave one himself in return. "Now, about my pizzas…"
His arms were suddenly filled with free coupons for free pizzas at the pizzeria he prefers going to.
He stared, then began tearing up in joy.
"WOOOOHOOOO! Today is a good day!"
Nirvana, present time.
For a long, long, very long moment, everyone just stared blankly at the holo-display in utter silence.
Then Sarenrae, the Dawnflower, the Healing Flame, the Everlight, one of the greatest Goddesses of Nirvana, succinctly described the thought process of everyone present with a single word that encapsulated the whole gamut of emotions and thoughts of everyone present over what they had just watched, where the greatest minds of the Heavenly Realms all collectively came to the absolute same conclusion in response to what they had just witnessed.
"What."
Indeed, the wisdom of the Heavenly Gods could never be questioned after such an eloquent reaction.
The Hunter's Dream.
"That bald hero friend of yours is truly terrifying, you know?"
I chuckled, glancing in amusement at Yog, as we both use our powers to look over the repercussions of the fact I threw a Saitama-shaped wrecking ball at one of the greatest evil in the Prime Multiverse.
"I am well aware. If he wasn't who he was in terms of personality, I might even be worried." I told her, before smiling.
"But I have faith that Saitama will always remain himself. If he's good enough to match me in power and will, then he's good enough that he can forge his own destiny without me worrying for or about him." I said firmly.
Yog glanced at me for a few seconds with a thoughtful look in her eyes.
"You really trust and respect him, don't you?" she said softly.
"I do." I said calmly, but firmly. "He's a hero. Maybe not the most conventional one to ever exist, but a hero nonetheless. There are few people I have come to trust as much as him."
"... I suppose that you wouldn't have let him have your adopted daughter if he wasn't up to your standards." Yog teased me with a grin.
I snorted. "True. Still, as I said. He earned my trust."
"You really love Heroes, don't you?" Yog said thoughtfully, staring at me like a puzzle to be solved.
I raised an eyebrow at her.
"I can see the way you always smile when Heroes are concerned." Yog pointed out. "And I can also see your anger when those claiming to be heroes do not match up to your standards for them. But I'm curious, you don't seem to have the same kind of high morals that you expect of Heroes, yet you still respect them highly despite the clear fact that you don't always approve of their decisions. So what makes them so valuable in your eyes?"
I fell silent, considering the question for a second.
"Because they are the epitome of what I wish for Reality." I finally answered. "Because I consider myself like a gardener, since I have become the God-King of Reality. And like any gardener, I want to see my garden full of the most beautiful of flowers. Heroes are not only some of those beautiful flowers, they are also ones who work on protecting other beautiful parts of the garden. So not only are they beautiful by themselves, they are also useful in keeping my garden in the best shape it can be."
My gaze settled on the Hunter's Dream vegetation, looking fondly over all the plants within my Dream, and especially the countless faintly glowing Lunar Tears underneath the moonlight.
One day, I wish that Reality will become as peaceful and beautiful as the Hunter's Dream. A Realm of peace and beauty, where all wonders within can shine their light for eternity."
My smile widened. "I am the most greedy being in existence, Yog, because I want to claim and safeguard all the things I see as beautiful for the rest of eternity. I want to see them thrive, I want to see them shine, I want to see their beautiful lights for the rest of forever! And so I will work hard, fight hard, so that slowly but surely my garden will become exactly as I wish it to be: A sea of beauty and wonders as far as I can see, free to shine their lights for my pleasure forevermore. Call me selfish or selfless, that is my desire. To turn all of Reality into what is essentially one of my Vault full of diamonds, with naughts but shining wonders to see."
Yog stared at me in silence, before a knowing smile crossed her lips. "And am I one of those shining flowers, my king?"
I turned and looked her in the eyes. "Always."
She turned her head away, but not enough for me to not see the blush on her cheeks or the smile on her lips.
"You are indeed a very greedy man, my king. You already have many wives, and still you want more, so many more." She mused.
I chuckled. "I am what I am, and I will not apologize for it. But I will always leave the choice on whether to accept me to you and all others. Free Will is the one line that I will never tarnish."
An amused smile crossed my lips. "Besides, I am a Hunter. What kind of Hunter would I be if I didn't enjoy hunting my prey?" I told her with a cheeky smirk.
She looked at me in the eyes, a teasing smirk on her lips and her eyes dancing with amusement… and some lust.
"Oh? Is that what you see me and the others as? Your prey? Careful, my king. I am not so easily caught." she purred challengingly.
I laughed softly, before sending my own challenging smirk, the lust shining in my eyes making her shiver… and her usual smug grin return in full.
"Oh? Then Let's make a bet. I promise you that, with a few words, I can help make you fall for me even deeper than what you already feel for me." I boldly challenged her, a wide grin on my lips.
Yog raised an eyebrow, seemingly caught between disbelief, curiosity, nervousness and excitement at my words.
She couldn't see the future where I was concerned, so she had no way to know whether I was serious or not, and I could see her bit her lips as she considered whether she really wanted to push further…
But she couldn't stop. Yog was someone who wanted to appear strong, and as a result the idea of backing down troubled her.
More, a part of her was clearly hoping I would actually prove myself true, and I could see a measure of nervous anticipation as she straightened and looked me square in the eyes.
"Prove it." she asked firmly.
I smiled, my expression softening considering exactly what I was about to say and the consequences it will have on her… And Shub-Nigurath.
"Then tell me, Yog, what happened to the goat that ended up successfully impregnating Shub-Niggurath for all of Time after having sex with her just the one time?" I asked her.
For a moment, Yog blinked in pure confusion, visibly caught off-guard by the out of left field question.
Her brows furrowed, and she opened her mouth, confusion clear all over her face-
And then she froze.
Suddenly, it felt as if all of Time stood still, as Yog-Sothoth's gaze turned distant and unfocused, staring off in the distance to something only she could see for several long minutes.
And then a moment later, she disappeared without a word.
I put my arms behind my back, watching in quiet satisfaction over the Hunter's Dream while the events I put into motions unfolded in the background.
For hours I waited, a soft smile on my face as my Eyes saw the truth of what was happening across the Timestream.
And then finally the fruits of my work came back, when a crying Shub-Niggurath and Yog-Sothoth, the latter visibly drunk, stumbled towards me with a complex mix of emotions on their faces… But above all was relief, joy and acceptance, as a rift between both goddesses that had existed for eons finally mended.
"Thank you." said Shub tearfully as they both looked at me, both goddesses holding each other like they were each other's lifelines and they would drown if they let go. "Thank you so much."
I smiled at them both. "I take it that Yog found the answer to my question, as I hoped?"
Shub nodded, as Yog was too busy crying and hugging Shub to speak.
"The goat… It was actually Yog herself. She had no memories of it all, but it was actually her who impregnated me that day. We… we were both lost in instinct, and we didn't think, we just…" Shub sent a shockingly soft and tender look at Yog, who bursted out crying even harder at the sight.
Shub gently kissed her on the forehead, then hugged her harder in reassurance before looking back at me.
"Yog-Sothoth is the original father of the Thousand Youngs." declared Shub, a flurry of emotions crossing her face at the words, but her eyes finally settled on joy and determination. "And I regret nothing. As I said, we were both lost in passion that day, and…" Her smile turned incredibly gentle. "Yog gave me that which I came to love more than anything else in my life: my… No, our children."
Both goddesses hugged each other harder, sharing a look that was equivalent to a thousand long conversations before both goddesses smiled, Yog's smile being deeply bittersweet at the revelation that she was the cause of both the best and worst moment in Shub's life.
The moment where Shub was mounted and bred like an animal, which both traumatized her and gave her the children that she came to love above all else.
Shub noticed it, and leaned down, passionately kissing Yog and making it very, very clear that, at this point, Shub has completely forgiven her.
Yog bursted into tears all over again, clutching the woman she loved for countless eons with all of her strength, while also melting in her arms out of sheer bliss at both the passionate kiss and the sheer relief that eons' worth of tensions between them was finally healed.
Shub loved her and had forgiven her fully, and it simultaneously broke Yog-Sothoth and healed her heart like nothing else could.
When the two broke the kiss, with the same looks of longing and love, they smiled at each other again, before they both looked at me.
Yog finally straightened, staring me in the eyes as she came closer… and then took me by the front of my clothes, bent me down and kissed me just as passionately as she had just kissed Shub.
She moaned deeply as my arms went around her back, one of my hand going to squeeze her very tight ass, her own arms going around my neck as she deepened the kiss, our tongues dancing in her mouth.
"Hmmm~!" She moaned, her body coming to rest heavily against mine, as she lost herself in the joy of the kiss and the warmth of my embrace, before she finally pulled back, a deep blush to her cheeks and a very warm look in her eyes.
"You win." she whispered, her lips curling upwards into a small, gentle, loving and immensely grateful smile. "You caught your prey…" she chuckled softly, and there was no bitterness in her next wods, only acceptance and amusement. "Both of them."
She pulled back, and a second later my arms were filled with Shub's soft body as she threw herself at me and began kissing me as passionately as Yog just did.
Just like with the Goddess of Time, my hands went around her body, squeezing her ass and pushing her chest against mine, Shub's eyes closing in bliss as she surrounded herself to the pleasure of our kiss and the strong embrace of my arms around her smaller body.
She shuddered in bliss as she gave herself fully into her passion, her skill at kissing proving no less impressive than Yog's, before she finally pulled back, still looking at me with a deep well of gratitude, joy and growing love.
"Thank you." she said, and I knew it was for a lot of things, though greatest of all right now was helping her and Yog finally make up and heal their relationship after so very, very long.
She came to a stop by Yog's side, gently taking one of her hands, and then both goddesses looked at me with similar warm smiles on their faces.
"Will you take the lead… My king?" asked Shub with a soft, yet visibly eager smile.
"The Hunter caught his preys… Now's the time to claim his rewards." purred Yog, her eyes showing an endless pool of lust and desire, while deeper inside was an equally strong mix of joy, gratitude and love that she wanted to express in full.
I smiled, stepping forward and putting my arms around each of their waist, both goddesses each taking one of my sides and pressing themselves against me with happy grins on their faces.
"Come on, ladies. I think it's time for you two to put the regrets of the past behind, and I've got a great many ideas on how I can help you with that tonight."
Shub's grin widened, before softening. "You aren't going to impregnate us both tonight are you?" she asked, a clear undercurrent of disappointment in her voice.
Yog flushed at the question, but the way her eyes darkened with lust made it clear that she wouldn't mind if I did impregnate them both.
I hesitated, then shook my head. "Not yet. There's something I need to do first, and then I'll very likely impregnate all of my lovers at the same time." My lips curl upwards. "We can make a proper night out of it."
Shub blushed harder along with Yog at the thought, a mix of disappointment and anticipation both radiating from the Mother of a Thousand Young, before her smile returned in full.
"Alright then. Then in that case, use us both for your pleasure… Master." purred Shub, Yog flushing an even darker red at the words… but notably not disagreeing one bit.
My grin grew at those words. "Now that, I can definitely do, ladies. Now C'mon."
My eyes glimmered with eagerness.
"Let's have some fun!"
A.N: Alright! Here is the next chapter in which we continue the events of Love Azathoth!
A chapter mostly focused on Aeon and the Eldritch women in his life, though with a little of Saitama as well to keep things exciting!
The One Punch Man finally makes his grand entrance in the Prime Multiverse with a Bang!
Rovagug, the Rough Beast, is the Pathfinder equivalent to Trihexa in Highschool DxD, and is one of the most powerful beings in Pathfinder.
Had Saitama fought him before fighting Aeon, even Saitama would have needed some time before growing powerful enough to kill it.
But this is Saitama post-Aeon. Needless to say, the poor bastard never stood a chance.
On the bright side, Saitama got himself a lifetime of free pizzas! Clearly the actually important part of the entire chapter!
And finally, for the Yog part, first Aeon really does see himself as a gardener since he became king. He's no longer just a Hunter now, he's someone who owns the land, and wants to see it become as beautiful as it can get.
And yes, in Love Azathoth a young Yog-Sothoth engineered the events leading to Shub-Niggurath becoming the Mother o a Thousand Young, but while she foresaw the part where Shub would be delighted to raise her children, she didn't see the trauma of Shub being fucked and impregnated for the first time. Of course, Shub prevented any attempt to change things through Time travel, so things were tense between her and Yog for eons, as Yog wanted to try and erase the trauma she unknowingly put Shub through, while Shub would gladly attack anyone threatening her children.
Then Aeon casually dropped the Truth bomb of Yog being more than the mastermind, but the active participants of things, even if she too was too lost in animalistic instincts to remember the whole thing afterward.
So end result, Yog and Shub ended up having a long heart-to-heart, involving lots of crying and alcohol, but now both sides have decided to move on and focus on just being happy together… And with Aeon, who they both owe a lot to for finally letting them bury the hatchet.
Still, with all that being said, I hope you all enjoyed this update! Next time, Aeon adds two of the most powerful Outer Goddesses to his bed, who are more than happy to show him exactly how far they are willing to go to show him the depths of their gratitude
