"Honey?" Sakura's inquiring yet soft voice rang out over the peacefully silent room.

"Hm?" Came a response, although not one that she was looking for.

"Sweetie?" She tried again, calling for his attention. The man was to relaxed to really answer so another hum was given.

Were this any other man, Sakura would have punted them through the wall, but living with him for more then 2 years gave her more of a fondness then irritation.

"Babe." The woman leaned forward from her slouched position, practically laying on the man's head.

"Yes, dear." The man was situated on the ground relaxed against the couch, in between her legs. This was there nightly routine, if one of them didn't have a mission. He would grab a book from the shelf and sit on the floor in front of the couch. Sakura would sit behind him and brush out the tangles in his silky black hair. Humming softly she would lovingly gaze down at the man.

Five years ago, Tsunade sent her on a mission to one of Orochimaru's bases. There she encountered a diary, of sorts. It entailed the inner most secrets of the long dead man, however it made her pity him.

As a kid he was raised to be perfect in every sense but then he got placed in team 7. With Hiruzen as his sensei, his clan whispered that he would be placed as the next Hokage. And so a great dream began. To be a leader, a mentor, and more.

However, Minato was placed as Hokage and the dream became a bitter realization.

By the end of the mission Sakura was torn. On one hand, she loathed what the man had been put through and understood his side. But one the other hand, she still could not excuse his actions and downgraded morals.

Shaking off the thoughts, Sakura gave her report, minus the journal, and went home. Early the next morning she was urgently summoned.

Tsunade explained that the missions sole purpose was to bring back the research that Orochimaru had done on time-space jutsu, particularly the ones that allowed one to travel through time. The female Hokage gave the young woman a choice stay in this time where the war was slowly eating away at peoples minds or go back and prevent things from happening.

Sakura could only giggle at the thought of seeing her shisho's face if she were ever to find out about her relationship with Orochimaru.

"Orochimaru." The woman called for his attention once more. This time gaining her desired reaction. The man placed his book down on the coffee table and turned to look at her, his golden eyes gentle and full of love.

"Yes, my love." Sakura placed a hand on his cheek swiping a thumb under his expressive eyes. "I hope our kid turns out looking like you."

Orochimaru's ever present composure wavered as he chuckled softly. His pale lips tipped up in his signature smirk however with not a hint of malice.

He raised up on his knees, reaching a hand up to bury his fingers in her beautiful pink hair pulling her down till there foreheads met.

"My dear, our child will be the most beautiful because you are their mother." Sakura's verdant green eyes began to water at her husbands sweet words.

"And our child will be the most loved and protected because you are their father." Tears broke loose causing Orochimaru to wipe them away.

"I love you, Orochimaru." The man closed the distance in an instance, giving a kiss filled with all the words he had trouble saying.

"Now and forever, my love. Now and forever."
