Chapter One: She Wants to Get Married

She wants to get married, she wants it perfect
She wants her granddaddy preachin' the service
Yeah, she wants magnolias out in the country
Not too many people, save her daddy some money

Ooh, she got it all planned out
Yeah, I can see it all right now

I'll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back
I'll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask
I'll try to make it through without cryin' so nobody sees
Yeah, she wanna get married
But she don't wanna marry me

Bella squealed jumping up and down proud of the hard work she had done. The small pink room was now lined up wall to wall with every teddy bear and doll she had. Barbie's in the front in their best dress and tall bears and their baby doll dates in the back. She separated them down the middle creating a little aisle way. The young girl had found her father's police tape which lined the way to down in the front of her bed. She wrapped up her bed posts and stood under the canopy above small yellow streamers hanging down. She turned with the tape in her hand to put the final touches on her bed. Ken was among them dressed in his best suit and sandals and a large children's bible was placed on his lap opened.

The doorbell chimed from down on the bottom floor causing her to jump. No more time to waste! She scurried over to her dresser and little fingers pulled it open rummaging through. She knew Charlie would take a minuet to answer the door which gave her time to finish getting ready. Finding what she was looking for, she quickly pulled on the oversized white tutu and matching tank top over her coveralls. She got into her secret makeup stash she had kept hidden from her mother before she moved away. Her lips were turned into a bright red smeared just slightly out of the lines. Pink blush adorned her soft cheeks, and the brightest blue eye shadow was smeared across her lids.

"Pretty!" she thought.

Satisfied she pulled out the blue heels her mother had left behind and slid them onto her tiny feet. She shuffled to the closet and pulled out a sheer white scarf and attached it to her loose, lopsided ponytail with a butterfly clip so it could hang in front of her face. She finished up he look with a tiara upon her head and grasped the flowers she had plucked from the woods behind her house hours earlier. Little footsteps were heard paddling up the stairs before the door opened. The young boy opening the door looked all around marveled at the spectacle before him. He took a glance at the girl before him, looking funny but somewhat pretty and he giggled vowing to remember ever detail of this day.

"Does you like it Edward?" young Bella questioned to the boy in the room.

"Watsa goin on Bella?" The sight did shock the boy, but he was intrigued at best at what his best friend had concocted for their adventures today.

"We getin marrieds today Edward! Mr. Ken is already here to a marries us." The young girl explained excitedly pointing to the doll. Edward laughed at his friend, for this was the finest of her silly antics. While weird, he would do anything to make her happy. It just felt right for the young boy. No matter how many times the girl would embarrass him or do something weird, he always kept coming back to her side. No matter what, he couldn't comprehend the thought of not having her as his friend.

"But we too little to gets married now." He teased her. Bella pouted her lower lip trembling. She stomped her oversized shoe in response on the soft carpet.

"Buts everyone is already here already Edward! What are we going to tell them?" she gestured continuing, "I's wants to get married Edward and I's wants to marry you!" Edward chuckled then gave her the biggest hug he could conjure up in his little body.

"Well's then lets gets a married." Bella squealed even louder with enough force for Charlie to shout his silenced grunts from downstairs. "Here! Puts this on!" Bella pulled an oversized jacket from the same closet she retrieved her "gown". Surely Charlie wouldn't find it missing. He never wore fancy stuff. Edward slid it on one arm after the other. The sleeves hung over his tiny wrists and the bottom drug on the floor behind him. Bella put a tie from Charlie's stash around his neck, that too hitting the floor. She took in her little companion before her. "Perfect." She sighed. Bella went to the little pink boombox on her nightstand and pressed play as soft music of the traditional wedding march floated through the air.

"What nows?" Edward questioned as Bella briefly left the room.

"Stand byes Ken!" she shouted back into the room, "And then say go and I'll walks down the aisle to you kays?" Edward did as instructed and took his spot next to Ken grinning his little crooked grin.

"Kays go!" Bella came back through the door little flowers in hand and a big smile on her face. She scoots along the makeshift aisle in her mother's shoes smiling and waving at all her guests till she meets Edward at the end next to Ken. She quickly shuts off the tape and looks back to her companion. "How's the next part go?" he asks her. Bella clears her throat before imitating a boy voice of the doll next to her.

"Dearly bewuveds we are heres today to marries Edwards and Bellas. Any objecshuns?" Both children look to the crowd scattered before them seemingly like they've come to life before them to witness.

"Goods," Bella continues, "Edwards, do yous take Bella to be your waffle wedding wife?" Edward looks towards Bella a smile on his face. "Yous supposed to says yes." She whispers encouraging him.

"Yes." Edward responds. Bella continues with her impression.

"Do you Bella takes Edward to be yous waffle wedding husbands?" she switches to her own child like voice. "Of course, I dos Ken." Edward laughs. She continues with her façade.

"Then I nows pronounce you as husbands and wife. Yous may kiss the bride." Edward looks towards Bella questioning.

"Dos we really haves to kiss?"

"It wonts be official till we dos. Right Ken?" she looks towards the lifeless doll smiling back at them. "Sees he says yes!" she exclaims.

"Okays. Only to make it official." Edward gulps as he moves closer to his friend. Bella put her flowers on top of Barbies legs to hold and turns back to Edward. She grabs his chubby cheeks in her tiny hands and lands a quick smack on top of his lips. They both step back smiling and giggling. Bella gasps as if missing an important part of her little ceremony.

"The wings!" she turns towards the bear close to her and pulls a sparkly blue heart shaped plastic ring from his paw. She had won two of them in the quarter machine when Charlie took her to the grocery store just two days before. She saw them and begged her father to get them for her so she could plan this today. "Yours is wif him. He's your bestest man." She points Edward to the other bear seated behind him with a matching sparkly blue heart shaped ring on his paw. Edward grabs the ring.

"Holds yous hand out." Edward does as told as Bella slides the large ring onto his tiny finger.

"Your turn?" he asks. She nods enthusiastically holding out her hand to him. He slides the ring onto her finger just as she did with him. She holds it up to the sunlight shining through the room admiring its sparkle like it's the finest jewelry Forks had to offer.

"Nows we togefer forever Edward!" The young girl jumps up and down, then looks at him with a stern hard look on her face. "You cants marry anyone else okay. You're my bestest friend. Powmise me." Edward looks at the happy girl next to him. Joy overcome and riddled on his face. Of course, he would promise. No one had been a better friend to him than her. He would be her's forever if that's what it took.

"I powmise Bella." He responded, "For as longs as I'm alives. We will be the bestest fwiends for the rest of forever. I won't marry anyone's but you. Never forgets that." He grabbed his friend in the tightest hug he could manage.

"I wuvs you Edward."

"I will wuv you forever's Bella!"

A/N: This story will be a short one shot of five chapters at the most with this chap being the shortest. I promise the others should be longer. I was inspired to write this after I heard this beautiful but sad song. I highly suggest you give it a listen if you haven't already. My mind automatically drifted to what would Edward do lol. There is no set date on the next chapter cause I'm still human and work a full time job. All I ask is that you send me your lovely reviews. They always inspire me to write more. Be sure to add me to your story alerts and favorites to stay up to date! Much love to you all and see you in the next one!
