How To Survive Organization XIII

The following is a parody based on the novels, manga, and games of the Kingdom Hearts series by Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix.

To be honest, I couldn't tell you what my first day in the Organization was like. It's all kind of fuzzy and grey. The day I was born, I had nothing and I could hardly form a sentence. All I was given was the name Roxas and the number thirteen.

On the seventh day after joining the organization, that's when this all started. The day I first met her.

"Roxas, you're doing that thing again."

"Huh?" That smug voice pulled me from my thoughts. I looked at the obnoxious source of the voice, seeing Axel with his fiery red mane and ridiculous face paint.

"You're doing that thing again," He repeated, pointing to the popsicle in my hand, "and your ice cream is melting."

I shook my head, "Sorry, I just...keep thinking about stuff. I can't help it."

"Oh, thinking about stuff, are we? Like what?" He bemused, smirking at me and narrowing his emerald eyes.

"What does it matter?" I mumble, taking a bite of my ice cream.

Axel threw up his arms defensively, "Sorry I asked." He grew a stupid smirk as he gazed out at the sunset. "Hey, Roxas. I bet you don't know why the sunset is red. See, light is made up of a bunch of colors and out of all those colors, red travels the farthest."

"I don't give a shit, Axel."

"Wow, touch-y!" He exclaimed, slapping my back, "What's gotten into you, huh?"

I rub my side with a grimace, "Nothing. Now would you just stop?"

Axel hollered out a laugh, "Fight, fight, fight! That's all you ever do! Would it kill you to lighten up once in a while?"

I took another bite of the blue-ish popsicle. "Maybe I'm not in the mood to 'lighten up'," I mutter.

"Man!" He shouted, throwing his arms up and laying back on the concrete of the tower, "I just can't win with you, can I? All you do lately is moan! Come on! Live a little!" He pokes my back with his boot.

I push his foot away and frown, "Cut it out! You're gonna knock me off the damn ledge!"

"Oh, boo hoo!" Axel mocked, flicking his popsicle stick off the ledge of the clock tower, "You and I both know there's no such thing as fall damage."

"Fuck off," I growl as I glance over to the empty spot on the ledge next to me, "...where is she…? It's been days."

Axel scoffs, sitting up against the bricks, "She's fine. Why are you so worried anyway?"

I frown, not bothering to look at him, "Because I can."

"Roxas, you're killing me, man!" Axel bellows, "If you were any more of an angsty character, you'd hear 'Crawling' every time you're on screen!"

I slowly take out my earbuds and hide them in my hoodie, "…fuck off, Axel."

"HA! You're too much."

"I'm going home," I spat, standing up on the edge and walking to the opening dark portal.

"Roxas, come on! I'm just messing around with you!"

My ice cream hits him square in the face as I step through the black portal. I'm not getting paid enough for this shit… Hell, I don't think I'm getting paid at all.

Thank you for reading, I appreciate you taking the time to read this (and probably getting disappointed in the process). But, please feel free to ask questions, comment, follow, favorite, all those fun little things and I'll catch you guys next time!
