Extra credit was never a bad thing, especially when coupled with acts of charity, so when Tiffany had volunteered to help tutor some adult students she'd been eager to do her part and help have a better chance to succeed in life.
Her first "student" was a young woman only a little older than her who, to put it delicately, had a figure that would make Dolly Parton jealous. She was supposed to be getting her GED, so Tiffany figured it would be an easy way to get started.
"Nun-uh, it does!" the pink-haired girl insisted, "See? When you move the 2's next to each other, you get 22!" She gave a beaming smile after presenting her logic.
Tiffany could help but let out a small sigh. She'd assumed the young woman just hadn't finished her formal education due to some unfortunate reason that forced her to resort to stripping to make ends meet (she'd just blurted out that she was a stripper when she introduced herself), but prolonged conversation painted a much different picture. Maybe she had special needs or something…?
In any case Tiffany was still trying to figure out where to start.
"Why don't we try something different?" the cheerleader suggested. "Let's get to know each other a bit more. Why do you want to apply for tutelage?"
"Oh, that's an easy one!" Candace's tube top she'd decided to wear jiggled a little with her enthusiasm. "My roommate Nora helped me sign up; she said 'Candace, you can't keep shaking your tits for money forever, so you should at be able to get another job if you need to', so I said sure!"
She said all of this with a smiling face.
Well, I can't really fault her roommate's logic, Tiffany mused. "Alright then, I think I know where we should start." She brought her carrier bag up onto the table and began rifling through it, occasionally putting an object on the table to move it out of the way.
For her part, Candace just sat there and waited for Tiffany to get what she needed. Her attention inevitably fell on the random objects her tutor was pulling out of her bag. "…oooh, you got one of those squarey, colory things!" she observed.
"Hmm?" Tiff looked down. "Oh, you mean my Rubic's Cube? My friend Nikki got it for me; I haven't really been able to solve it, but it's good for me to fidget with when I need to do something with my hands."
"Can I try it?"
"Sure, go right ahead." She handed the cube over, then went back to rooting through her bag. "Geez, I know I had a copy in here somewhere…," she said to herself, "Did I leave it back in the-?"
"All done!"
Tiffany looked up, not expecting her charge to have gotten bored of the colorful toy so soon. To her surprise Candace was holding a fully uniform, completed Rubic's Cube, looking incredibly proud of herself.
"That was fun! You can have it back now, Miss Tiffany."
For a moment, Tiffany couldn't find the right words to express her shock. "…how did you…?
"Oh, it was easy! My Mama always told me growing up that I was a smart girl, really taciturn."
It took a second for Tiff's mind to autocorrect what Candace had said.
"…you mean 'tactile', right?"
"Pffft! No, that's silly; I'd remember if she said something like that."
…this was going to be a more interesting assignment than Tiffany first thought.
