2Chapter 1: No home for Walter
They had just landed back in Los Angeles and the team was completely tired and nobody complained when they all decided to just go home. Toby and Happy took Sly and left to drop him off at his apartment before they went home to their house that they had bought a few months ago. Paige, Walter Jr., and Ralph walked to the car to go home after the draining weeks they had not even thinking about anything as they all left, and Walter finally walked out looking for the team to see nobody in sight.
He stood there in the night sky as he called a cab to take him to the beach where he felt he needed to be. Laying there he just stared at the stars wondering what would happen now and he wanted to figure out where to go now that he was back.
Paige had just got home before she realized Walter wasn't with her as her breathing started to increase as Ralph and Walter Jr. both walked out of the house. "Mom what's wrong? Where's dad?" the boys asked in unison looking at her quizzically before Ralph understood and went to go grab his laptop knowing that they all had forgotten him. "Mom its ok I will find him real, quick and we can go get him and come home" Ralph stated the same way Walter did.
"O-o-o-ok Ralphy boy" Paige quiet said as she felt the pain of hurting him again.
Walter laid there deep in thought when he saw lights above him confused, he got up to see who was there behind him when someone knocked him down. "Stay down you are trespassing the beach is closed after 8pm" the man said.
"What's going on I will just leave I am sorry I forgot I haven't been in the states for a while I forg…" Walter was interrupted as the officer yelled that they might have an illegal and to call ICE.
Ring ring ring ring…. "This is ICE how can I help you" someone answered on the other end as the other officer fought to keep Walter down. "We have a suspected Illegal in Los Angeles we are putting him in a cell till you can get here" the officer said as he was about to hang up "I want to call Homeland Agent Cabe Gallo" Walter Yelled before being punched right in the jaw feeling the crack.
"shut up stupid illegal" the man said as he dragged him to the car and was thrown in before they left.
Ralph looked at the computer and was watching as they were walking to the car "Stop Walter is moving so I want to see where he is going since he is moving fast, I can only guess someone took him and I will have more information soon as the gps comes to a stop and 10 minutes later he had the information he was at the police station. I think we might need Cabe and Sylvester mom." Ralph said as he started to hack into the police station cameras to see what was happening to his father.
"Paige what's wrong why are you calling at 11PM you and Walter should be asleep right now" Cabe said as he heard her tears trying to figure out what was happening.
"Walter is at the police station and Ralph says he looks like he might be hurt" Paige choked out as she didn't understand why they would hurt him for being at the beach even though it was after hours it would usually be a ticket or the officers warning the person.
"Sylvester It's Ralph we are coming to pick you up to help us get Walter out of the station and press charges on the officers who took Walter in be there in 5 minutes" Ralph said as he hung up and got in the car while Paige started the engine and was racing to get Sly.
"Ralph why are you calling right now" Toby asked as he answered the phone slightly annoyed as he was hoping to hop with the Mrs.
"Walter is hurt and at the police station grab your medical bag and meet us there Cabe is on his way also and we are picking up Sly right now" Ralph said as he then hung up right after as Sly got into the car.
"What happen" Sly looked at them all confused why Walter would be arrested.
"Nobody knows right now but we will find out soon" Ralph said with venom in his voice angry that someone punched his dad, and he was about to find out as he was hacking the police system to see who brought him in and under what charges when he saw it and yelled "WHAT THE HELL".
"RALPH LANGUAGE NOW" Paige yelled at him.
"Dad is being held as an illegal immigrant until ICE gets there" Ralph said as tears threatened to fall.
"I won't let them Ralph I will be Walter's lawyer and Cabe will stop them and if they don't listen to Cabe we will climb the chain of command in Homeland until they do listen" Sly said and he started to get nervous.
"YOU COME HERE" Cabe was yelling in the police station as officer came over.
"Sir we need you to leave it is after hours" The officer said.
"I don't give one fuck you release Walter O'Brien right now I am Homeland Agent Cabe Gallo and if you don't let him go, I will call Homeland Director Nunez to have you release him as we just got him back in the states to resume his government contract as he finished Sly came up behind him with Paige and the kids behind him.
"They don't want to give you Walter because officer Smith and Jackson beat him" Ralph said glaring at the officers and just like that Cabe whipped his phone out and dialed Nunez. "Cabe what's going on it is midnight" Nunez said as Cabe was breathing very heavily "Well I have you on speaker phone but LA officers have Walter behind bars waiting for ICE after two officers have beaten him" Cabe seethed out.
"I will send Ramon and Taylor over but if they do not release Walter to you guys, right now Homeland will be doing an investigation on all the officers and any dirt we find on any officer will be tried for treason against the United States" Nunez said before hanging up and getting Ramone and Taylor to the station knowing they lived the closest about 5 minutes by foot for them.
The officers stood there trying to figure out what to do as Toby and Happy got there with Happy yelling at everyone and everything as she had just got her family back, she wouldn't have it taken away again. Ramone and Taylor came in laughing as they saw the officers still just standing there so they walked past them to the holding cell as they saw a battered Walter sitting there.
"Keys now or every officer here right now and the two that brought him in are all going to prison Ramone roared in a loud voice much louder than he had intended but it didn't matter he came to know Walter and respect him the man did not deserve what happened to him. Finally, one officer came over to unlock the cell Ramone walked in as the officer tried to close the cell behind him as Taylor put her foot between the cell doo and the frame so it couldn't shut before she pushed it back against the man and she went to subdue him as Ramon walked out with Walter leaning on him before Taylor put the man in the cell closing it and taking the keys "Anyone else want to try us we have the rest of our team outside if you'd like to take the 5 of us on we are special forces though so I don't think you'd be let off lightly if we did die and we do have Nunez on coms with us" Taylor sneared at the officers as Ralph pointed to officer Smith and Jackson "Those two are the ones who brought him in and did most of the damage to dad" Ralph said as he shot a deadly look in there direction and they did not know what to do.
"We don't know what you are talking about kid" they said in unison.
"So, you won't mind me giving the footage to homeland and to my dad's lawyer and I don't care about the legality of it because you hurt my dad" Ralph said seething with anger as they left the officers stunned.
