And a text tweet I couldn't find again about the reason Jinx's hair grows so much.

Disclaimer: Don't own Arcane, a forever shame because if I could write stuff like that, holy shit.

Moving about barefooted right after taking a bath isn't the cleverest of ideas but Jinx is aiming to be stealthier than usual as she slithers by the rafters from her room to Silco's office. Despite her deftness, it's still hard to avoid stepping on the literal cascade of loose, damp hair that waggles off the sides of her body with her every move and occasionally pools under her feet as she bends and twists her body around the wooden beams.

She finds him in the usual spot, sitting by the desk with his reports and files, bent over himself with his head on one hand and a glass on the other, a pose that is becoming the new norm. Jinx bites her lip, feeling a slight pang at a realization she doesn't fully understand; but she soon shakes her head, deciding her plan was as good for this upset feeling he's displaying as it was to begin with.

Aware of the fact that the tips of her hair leave a trail of drops that betrays her otherwise stealthy ambush, Jinx spends little time waiting after she's positioned herself above her target, crouching down with a mischievious smile. For a moment she entertains the image of herself hanging upside down by the rafters, locking her body by the back of her knees around the beam and just letting herself fall back with her arms and full hair outstretched like a monster ready to snatch innocent little children up to her raftery domain above. It's fun, but she decides to go for the original plan, closes up the blue curtains around herself and leaps down in freefall, landing on the center of the table with a spectacular thud and a shockwave that throws papers everywhere.

"Boo!" she says with arms opened wide and a toothy grin that Silco can't actually see because of the hair that hides her entire face. She giggles and doesn't resist long before sinking her hands from under the covers and snapping the curtains clamped to her skin wide open. "The monster is here to drag you to bed."

Silco breathes out a smile, apparently unable to master energy for much more.

"You should be the one in bed. It's late."

"You don't get to send me off and stay up doing all the fun!" Jinx replies ironically, tapping the remnants of documents that survived her fall and causing another one of those smiles out of him. She then claps her hands loudly. "Come, chop chop!"

"Your hair is damp," Silco says as he goes to catch some of the sheets she sent flying. "We need to dry it better before you fall asleep. Don't want you to catch a cold."

"Pffft, as if."

"If you want me to listen to the little monster in the rafters, you need to listen the big monster in the water too."

Jinx grins up until she hears the demands of the big monster: patting dry, combing, braiding, now.

"I'm actually trying to make you go sleep, not stay up for another hour!"

"It'll be harder to deal with in the morning," Silco says as he pours down the last of his drink and stands up. "Come on."

Jinx huffs but agrees, sliding off the table with an 'ow' when she accidently places her hand over a chunk of hair and her body yanks at it. She speeds to her bedroom and yeets onto the bed, rolling over and coccouning herself in blue. A bit of a mishap on her part, as she needs to nudge and a struggle bit to get detangled out of it (plus a quick chill runs over her when her damp pyjamas catches the cold, but she hides it) when Silco places a towel over her head and starts the whole process of rubbing and patting it before handing her a comb of her own. He carefully moves every strand away before sitting down.

"Let's deal with that monster now," he annouces omniously. Jinx cheers and they begin.

Each one takes care of half of the hair, Jinx's attention flactuating while she rambles about ideas and inventions and stories, occasionally interrupted when Silco has to work a bit harder through a tougher tangle.

"Ow!" Jinx yelps at the pull.

"Sorry."

"As much as I love long hair," Jinx starts, trying not to go with the flow of the small nudges that pull at her head, "sometimes it has its downsides."

She takes longer to finish combing her side than Silco, but she braids it faster than him because she knows it's taking a lot of time and her intention was for him to go to bed earlier, not at the usual late hours by just replacing his headache-inducing crime and independence planning stuff with hair combing.

"There, done!"

"You're rushing it on purpose. Do it again."

"Aaaaa, come on!"

"Go on."

Jinx huffs and redoes the braid, purposefully making exaggerated slow movements. Silco acknowledges it and hums in approval, focused on his own braid. He waits after Jinx and goes along on the 'inspection' she demands after handing him the long trance of hair.

"Much better," Silco comments. Jinx hears the tiredness in his voice and her screws her face at the stubborn big monster in the water. She loads her two braids in her hands like weapons and hurl them around him in a hug she completes with her arms tightly locked. She feels the chuckle on his chest. "Your hair has grown so much."

"Pure anger," Jinx says with a proud grin. "And spite. Like every good monster."

Silco smiles and tucks her in bed after she unrolls him off the braids and twists around to find the perfect spot under the covers. He places a kiss on the top of her head.

"Perfect."
