Hey, sorry for the long hiatus. With Work, personal Life and now School again I often had no Time, or sometimes a Lack of Motivation.
Now you may wonder, why did I delete all the Chapters? Why am I rewriting it? Simple I was extremely dissatisfied with this story. The Pacing, the Plot, the awkward or illogical scenes…I could go on. Originally when I sat down to write more, and I read the story to get into it again I realized that it was Horrible (in my opinion). So here I am trying to do better now.
I do not own Naruto or Spider-Man
Chapter 1: Every Hero has his tragic beginnings
Thick fog shrouded the carnage, forcing Kakashi to tread carefully through the scattered corpses, his blade drawn. The acrid stench of blood and smoke hung heavy in the air.
An eerie silence spreads across the estate. Not even ravens or other scavenger seem to dare approach the corpses.
'This isn't a battlefield—it's a massacre,' Kakashi thought grimly, his eyes scanning the carnage. As the copy ninja walks past the bodies of a family, he suddenly hears falling rocks.
Tense and ready to fight, he slowly walked to the place where he heard the noise. However, what he saw made him stand still. A small boy sat before him, his tattered clothes soaked in blood and dirt, tear-streaked cheeks glistening in the dim light.
The boy looked up and stumbled back when he saw Kakashi standing there. His body seemed to go into a fight or flight mode and the fear was visible in his eyes.
"Easy, I won't hurt you," Kakashi spoke calmly to the little survivor as he sheathed his blade. As Kakashi carefully approached the boy, he ran his eyes over the boy's form, evaluating what kind of danger he could pose should the fear be faked.
The boy scrambled backwards a little, "Stay back!" Pītā shouted, his voice trembling despite his attempt to sound brave. "I don't have anything you want!"
The boy's ragged, shallow breaths hinted at cracked ribs, each gasp a painful struggle.
Don't worry, I'm not here to hurt you." Kakashi carefully pulled a ration bar from his pocket, holding it out. "Here. You look like you could use it. Can you tell me what happened? What's your name?"
The little boy looked suspiciously at Kakashi's hand. Carefully, he reached for the bar and began to answer the shinobi in a drawling voice "Why do you want to know, why are you helping me, why would a Konoha shinobi be interested in the Shukeikō?"
"One question at a time. I don't want to harm you, I just don't want to see a little boy die surrounded by the blood of his relatives. And just because I'm from Konoha instead of Kumo doesn't mean I can't have sympathy." The grey-haired ninja sits down one and a half meters next to the frightened child.
"M-my name is Pītā Pāka," he stammered, his voice cracking under the weight of his words. "I... I'm the last one left. They killed everyone—my whole family..." His breath hitched, and tears welled in his eyes. With a shaky voice the now named Pītā tried to tell the shinobi what happened, but Kakashi saw how he could barely keep himself together.
"I won't lie to you," Kakashi said softly, placing a steady hand on the boy's trembling shoulder. "The world can be cruel. But holding it all in won't help. Cry, Pītā. Let it out. It's the first step to surviving."
At Kakashi's words, Pītā collapsed into him, his small frame shaking with anguished sobs. The raw grief in his cries was heart-wrenching, cutting through the stillness of the battlefield.
While he was crying in Kakashi's arms, his team came to their captain. Before any of them could speak, he gave them a hand signal to stay quiet.
After several minutes, when Pītā began to calm down a little, he started to speak in a rough, weeping voice.
One of his distant uncles had betrayed the clan and brought an enemy into the estate. For centuries, the Kurabina-fu clan thrived on bloodlust and glory, hunting the strongest animals, summons, and shinobi to slay—whether in fair battle or ruthless ambush.
For many years, the family has been looking for ways to destroy Kumo's Spider Clan to gain access to some of the forbidden and dangerous techniques and Jutsu of the Clan.
The uncle who did this was apparently once one of the best shinobi of the Shukeikō clan, but he fell out of favor in the eyes of the clan head and the elders due to his greed for power.
As he talked, Konoha's Anbu Team Ro listened to him attentively, Weasel and Tiger swept the area with practiced precision, their sharp eyes searching for seals or listening devices, every shadow a potential threat.
Pītā was there when his father and mother were killed, he heard his entire clan being slaughtered and saw the cruelty with which they were all taken to the realm of the dead.
Pītā survived by a cruel twist of fate—his mother, in her dying moments, injected him with a paralyzing poison and flung him to safety, sacrificing herself to give him a fragile chance to live.
He can barely remember what she said before she kissed his forehead, and his world darkened.
Exhausted by the story and his wounds, Pītā fell asleep on Kakashi's shoulder. He just looked thoughtfully through his mask at the boy, wondering what he should do now. A situation like this was extremely unusual, as it is the duty of an Anbu to remain unseen, but the duty of a Konoha shinobi to ensure that nothing happens to children and that they can grow up without suffering.
Because that is the will of the fire. The reason why Konoha was founded.
Careful not to wake the young man, Kakashi lifted him slightly to examine his wounds. "Weasel bring me a med pack, the boy is badly injured. Cat and Tiger, secure the area and get ready for the return journey."
"Captain, we're not taking the boy with us ba..." Tiger had not finished speaking when he was shushed by a Kakashi.
"Tiger, look at him. He's just a child—he watched his family slaughtered, and now he has no one left. If we leave him here, he won't survive. It's our duty to protect him, no matter where he's from." Kakashi's voice held a quiet resolve, leaving no room for argument.
Just as Tenzo was about to object, the youngest member of the squad suddenly spoke in a worried voice, "Captain, there are various poisons in his system, one of which seems to have entered his system by breathing. We need to get to an experienced medic nin as soon as possible"
Kakashi and Tenzo immediately turned their attention to the boy in Itachi's arms. "How bad is it?" the gray-haired shinobi asked his Kouhai, concern clear in his voice.
After another diagnosis, Weasel replied again, "His immune system's fighting hard," Itachi reported, his tone grim. "But with his injuries and dehydration, it's losing ground. This poison—it's unlike anything I've ever seen."
"Senpai, the area is safe, I have not found any other survivors or enemies. "All I found were scrolls—each one protected by intricate blood seals far beyond anything I've seen before," Cat reported, returning just after Itachi finished the diagnosis, her voice edged with unease.
Kakashi gathered his thoughts briefly before passing on orders to his squad, "Good work, Cat. Secure the scrolls. You and Tiger will take point—we're heading to the nearest hospital immediately. Weasel and I will cover the rear. This boy's life depends on it."
""HAI"" without hesitation, the Anbu took up their positions and set off.
While the Konoha shinobi moved as quickly as possible, but as carefully as necessary so as not to aggravate Pītā's wounds, Worry weighed heavily on Kakashi's mind. Kakashi's mind raced as he considered the looming conversation with the Hokage—how could he justify bringing a Shukeikō child, one of Kumos most feared clans, to Konoha? And more importantly, could they truly protect him?
….
Six days later, the group rested about two kilometers from a village in Frost Country, near the border to Hot Water Country. Normally, they would have covered three to four times the distance in that time, but Pītā's wounds and condition prevented this.
While Itachi and Yūgao took care of the boy, Kakashi kept watch and Tenzo went to the nearby village to look for possible medicine and food. Over the last few days, they rotated in taking care of Pītā, although it mostly was Tenzo and Kakashi while Itachi only changed his bandages and cleaned his wounds.
Pītā writhed and moaned in pain while Itachi held him with difficulty and Yūgao tried to give him some water through the cloth mask the boy was wearing, which for some inexplicable reason could not be taken off, the only times it was taken off was at the time he was awake and ate something, still they never saw his face.
The real challenge now? Pītā had been unconscious since morning, and the clan's strict tradition of wearing masks meant his face remained hidden, adding another layer of difficulty to their efforts.
"Hold him steady, Weasel," Yūgao grunted, struggling to control the boy's writhing. "I can't get the water in if he keeps thrashing like this!"
Itachi gasped strained, holding the boy became more difficult with each passing minute, "I'm doing my best Senpai, but he's incredibly strong"
"It can't be that a five-year-old boy is giving you such a hard time!"
But before the young Uchiha could answer, Kakashi cleared his throat a little, "Don't blame him Cat, the boy is from the Shukeikō clan whose Kekkei Kenkai gives them incredible physical strength and speed, that's also the reason why we can't get the mask off"
"It's said the Shukeikō can scale walls without chakra—a skill I once thought was only a myth," Kakashi remarked, a hint of awe in his voice.
The two Anbu looked at Kakashi in amazement, slowly understanding why the Shukeikō Clan was so feared. The ability to walk on walls without using chakra, physical strength and off-the-charts speed made the shinobi deadly assassins.
Not long after, and another 10 minutes of fighting to give Pītā some fluids to keep his condition from deteriorating further, Tenzo came back with a surprised and almost frightened posture.
Kakashi saw him first and immediately realized that something was wrong "Tiger, what's the situation, what happened? Have you encountered any enemies in Tetsumaru?"
As soon as he said this, the attention of the other two shinobi turned to Tenzo and the situation became tense. Both prepared to move into a fighting stance as quickly as possible without endangering their little patient.
Tenzo, on the other hand, tensed up a little more and began to say with a blistered face, "No, senpai, I haven't met an enemy. B-b-but i-in Tetsumaru *gulp* I met T-t-tsunade Senju and her companion. When I saw her, I tried not to draw attention to myself but she grabbed me by the collar and started asking me why I have a similar chakra to her grandfather, she suddenly was just there"
When the Anbu heard this, Kakashi turned pale. The cruel experiment that Orochimaru of the Sannin performed on sixty children is an S-rank secret Not even Cat and Weasel knew what happened. Tsunade, known for her explosive temper, who as a Senju and Medic Nin holds the lives of innocent children in the highest regard, can only end in a rampage on her part, should she get to know about it.
"When I tried to e-explain that I didn't know what she was talking about, she threatened to...do that to me..." The Mokkuton user tried to continue but had to stop, fear written all over his face.
"I threatened to break him into enough pieces that not even the gods would recognize him, among other things"
A dominant and deep female voice interrupted him, and all the Anbu turned to her, ready to fight, but then they all froze like stone.
Tsunade stood with a commanding presence, her beauty even more striking than the legends claimed. Every movement she made seemed to ripple with restrained power.
Tsunade's long blonde hair fell behind her green haori, her amber eyes sharp with authority. Even without flickering chakra, her presence alone smothered the camp with an undeniable weight.
But what really caught the attention was how she just stood there without any pretense, without any flickering of her chakra, even Kakashi the senior shinobi with a legendary reputation didn't feel her coming.
It was as if the air itself had simply made a place for her, at first there was no warning, no feeling and then her absolute tremendous power literally smothered the atmosphere of the camp.
Her chakra loomed over the camp, a quiet storm brimming with destructive potential, as if the air itself bent to her will. Her presence carried the weight of the Senju legacy, a power so vast it seemed capable of crushing anything in its path, it testifies to her power as the strongest kunoichi in the world and a legendary Sannin.
Tsunade's power remained undiminished despite her years way from Konoha.
The son of the White Fang was the first to compose himself and faced the Senju princess with a slight and respectful bow.
"Tsunade-sama forgives us, but we cannot tell you why you feel the resemblance in Tenzo's chakra to your grandfather. The Sandaime himself made this an S-rank secret to protect Konoha, the legacy of the Shodaime and Tenzo. If you want to know warmly, I respectfully and humbly ask that you ask Sandaime-sama himself"
Tsunade's eye twitched, irritation flashing across her face, 'Who does this brat think he is?' she thought, her chakra flaring slightly in response.
While her chakra was flaring up, she took a step forward which shattered the ground slightly before her gaze fell behind the silver-haired ninja and saw Pītā lying there on a mat, writhing slightly and covered in sweat.
Her gaze flickered between Kakashi, his team and the boys and raised an eyebrow questioningly while she put her hand on her hip.
But before he could say anything to her, Tsunade's sharp senses caught the flow of the boy's chakra, potent and unusually refined for someone so young. Her brow furrowed as she turned her gaze toward him, studying his fragile form.
His chakra was unusually potent and his reserves extremely high for a boy of his age. But the decisive factor was the black mask the boy was wearing. One clan in particular was known for it, where even the children started wearing masks when they were in public.
The Shukeikō. A clan shrouded in mystery and known as the strongest of Kumogakure, a type of elite shinobi whose strength and loyalty is legendary. They swore their allegiance to the Kage of Kumo when the village was founded in exchange for certain benefits.
For him to be here, surrounded by Konoha Anbu and no Shukeikō adult or shinobi as his guarding is concerning, her eyes narrowed 'They couldn't possibly abducted him, could they?'
While the Sannin was still lost in her thoughts, Kakashi noticed where her gaze fell and slowly stood in front of him protectively, still thinking about how he could defuse the situation, Tsunade noticed something incongruous in the boy's chakra.
"A Shukeikō child? Here?" Tsunade's amber eyes narrowed as she stepped closer. "And what's wrong with him? Don't tell me you've dragged him into some Konoha scheme."
'It may be none of my business, the conflict between Konoha and Kumo, but I'll be damned if I'm going to watch a child being used as a weapon or a bargaining chip'
"He was poisoned," Kakashi answered her calmly and a little more relaxed than before. The fact that she seems to care about the child, even if it's barely visible in her body language, shows that the years away from Konoha didn't destroy her core values.
"The Kurabina-fu clan attacked the Shukeikō and wiped them out," Kakashi said, his voice steady but somber. "This boy—he's the only survivor. His mother saved him, but not before the Kurabina-fu poisoned him. We're doing what we can, but without a proper medic, he won't make it. That's why we're taking him to Konoha."
Briefly and factually, Kakashi told the beautiful Senju everything. Tsunade's amber eyes softened as she listened, the boy's story dredging up memories she had tried to bury. She knew too well the agony of watching loved ones die.
"I told Sensei years ago—every team should have a medic." She sighed, pushing aside the bitter memory and kneeling by the boy's side. "Move aside. Let me see him.", in short steps she was at the boy and knelt next to him.
As Tsunade scanned the boy with her Iryō Ninjutsu, her expression shifted—sharp eyes widening in alarm as she recognized the poison's deadly potency."
'I haven't seen such a potent and strong poison since the second ninja war' quickly and precisely she started her work and barked orders to Itachi and her assistant Shizune who just then arrived at the shinobi camp panting.
"You!" Tsunade barked, pointing sharply at the young Uchiha. "Clean water and washcloths—NOW!" Her eyes flicked to Shizune as her hands began to glow with chakra. "Shizune, get over here. He's showing advanced symptoms of poisoning. We need to detoxify him before it hits his heart. Move!"
"Hai Tsunade-sama!" While Shizune carefully took the necessary equipment out of her bag, her master carefully began to undress the boy.
Tsunade turned sharply to the others. 'Set up a tent around us—now! No interruptions unless you want this boy's death on your conscience.' Her tone left no room for argument.
Shizune's hands glowed with steady green chakra as she maintained the Mystical Palm Technique, her brow furrowed in concentration to stabilize Pītā's fragile condition, while the Sannin began to remove the poison from the boy's body using the Delicate Illness Extraction Technique and store it in the bowl of water Itachi brought her so she could examine it later.
'If it wasn't for his unique physiology, even by shinobi standards, the poison would have killed him a hundred times over already. You should be thankful for being born as an Shukeikō, boy, otherwise….'
Once the tent was in place, the ANBU stationed themselves around it, their presence a silent warning: no one would interfere with the medics' work and walk away unscathed. Pītā had already become one of them, and their principles as Konoha shinobi compelled them to protect him, no matter the cost.
