Prompt: They all return home after s3, Five still missing his arm, the ending didn't happen, they killed Reginald together and stuff. Luthor is alive. Basically I'm changing the plot for my own convenience.
Five:
"Shit" I said, looking down at my arm which was starting to throb with pain. The makeshift turning kit was working pretty well, but not completely stopping the blood from flowing out my arm.
"Five?" Diego says, looking at me. "Holy shit! What happened to your arm‽ Sit down!" He commanded. Usually I would've said something like, 'you're not the boss of me' but at this point the blood loss was getting to me.
"Guy's, a little help!" Diego yells for the others, I see a bunch of blurs running towards me and then the world goes black.
I wake up feeling groggy, so I decide to stay still a minute longer to try to reassess what happened.
I was fighting the samurai guy, we won. Came downstairs, found out dad hadn't changed and was just using us, the guy came from the ceiling, cut of my arm. Wait, my arm! I must have been bleeding out and passed out.
I sit up faster than my brain can process and try to catch myself before I can fall back onto the bed. Then I realize only one of my hands is touching the mattress. They must've not been able to get my arm back. It'll be ok, I've adapted to worse.
"Five, you're up!" Viktor exclaims, grabbing my hand and standing up.
"Apparently so. I need coffee." I say.
"Dude, we thought you were gonna die!" Diego almost yells at me.
"That's not my fault Diego, if it's anyone's fault it's Dads. That asshole made me lose my arm!" I retorted. I look around to everyone. They're all here, good. I follow all of their eyes to the ground, looking in guilt. "It's not your fault, dummies. I should've been able to get out of the way." I say.
I don't know why I care if they're guilty, but after all we've gone through everyone just needs to stop blaming each other. None of this would have happened without Reggie, so if anyone is to blame it's him.
"Five, it's not your fault. Nobody would have dodged that. I would know, I lost my fingers to that thing." Diego says, moving around his replacement fingers.
"Yeah, anyways. Are you all OK? And what's changed in the timeline. Is there another Ben here?" I ask. These are necessary questions. If the timeline is still messed up we need to fix it fast before the kugelblitz 2.0 happens.
"We're all fine, a little banged up, but not as bad as you." Luthor says, looking towards my missing arm. Allison has Claire and Raymond in this timeline, so that's something. Other Ben is here, and it's super weird. Sloane is here too." Luthor finishes.
"Good." I say, standing up from my bed.
"Woah, where do you think you're going, young man?" Klaus says, sticking an arm towards me.
"To get Caffeine, and to see if I can see what the next disaster is." I reply, jumping into the doorway, past all my siblings.
"What do you mean, "next disaster"? Do you know something we don't Five?" Allison questions concerned.
"I know what you know. But it seems whenever we are somewhere together, there's always a disaster. For you guys it's been spread out, for me it's been a little over 3 weeks." I inform them. I really need to get some coffee, or just get away from my family to avert the next crisis.
"Maybe you should rest, Five. I mean, like you said you've been non-stop saving the world and you just lost an arm." Viktor advises.
"No time." I reply as I start to walk down the hallway. I'm way too exhausted to deal with any of them, or to blink. I don't even know how well I'll be able to blink far without my arm. I had missed the hallway and luckily landed in my doorway earlier.
"Five, take a break, you're so pale." Luthor yells down the hallway to me.
"Later." I blink to the kitchen as I say it, ending up on the stairs. Luckily I just sit down to avoid falling, but it's definitely going to be hard getting used to only having one arm.
"The Boy returns to the living." Ben says sarcastically. He really is an a-hole.
"Be nice Ben," Sloane elbows him, earning a small ow from Ben. "Glad you're okay Five, you had us all worried. I'm sorry about your arm." Sloane says sincerely. At Least this time Luthor is in love with someone other than his own sister. Technically she might still be, but this is a major step up from whatever Luthor and Allison had going on, so I'll take it.
"Sorry about your siblings. It wasn't easy for any of us." One number Five to the other.
"You shouldn't be up yet. You lost a ton of blood, had to get a transfusion." Ben says, hell this guy was inconsistent.
"And you shouldn't be as stupid as you are tall, but there you are." I replied. Ben quickly shuts up and leaves the room angrily. He reminds me of Diego in his pre-teen years. Jealous and angry.
"Fiveeyyyyy! I finally found you. Diego owes me five bucks now!" Klaus jumps around. Sometimes I can't tell if he's high or not.
"What do you want Klaus? If you're here to make me go rest then you can give up now, it's not happening." I warn him with murderous eyes.
"Technically I'm here for that, but I'm really here because Diego said he'd give me $5 if I found you sooo." He explains.
"Alright, I'll give you a dollar if you go tell the rest to, "mind their own f-ing buisness." I challenge. It's none of their business how I heal.
"Will do!" I put the dollar in Klaus's hand. I was starting to see how inconvenient it was to have one hand. It's probably best if it happened to me and not any of my siblings, they either need both hands, or are so clumsy that they'd end up dead if they didn't have both hands to catch them.
Klaus runs off, I go to the kitchen and start to make myself a peanut butter and marshmallow sandwich. Soon after I start to spread the peanut butter I realize that I don't have a way to hold the bread still and use the knife.
"Having some trouble?" Viktor asks as he walks in.
"Nothing I can't handle. I'm not that hungry anyways." I say, trying to deflect from the fact that I'm struggling so much. Viktor reaches over and easily assembles the sandwich.
"Yknow, you could accept help sometimes, your going to need to because of your arm." Viktor tells me, as if I'm a child.
"I'm not a child. I can take care of myself." I defend.
"Don't get defensive, we all need help regardless of age or ability." Viktor says, this somehow calms me down. Me and Viktor have always had this sort of bond. He and I used to just sit, me reading a book about advanced math and him playing his violin.
Then I left and ruined that. I had ruined everything, so I deemed myself unworthy to accept others' help. I had been alone so long that I had learned how to do everything myself, but being one armed was going to change everything. At Least I still had my family.
