Hello! I'm back! Here is a new crossover to pay homage to Hajime Isayama's manga, of which the anime is also heading towards its conclusion.
ToAru x Attack on titan crossovers are rare so I thought I'd make one.
The plot will be set primarily in the world of AoT and takes place chronologically in the Othinus arc after the Baggage City incident and after the arc of the female titan.
Constructive criticism will be accepted and the flames will be ignored.
Happy reading everyone.
Disclaimer: the To aru majutsu no index series is owned by Kamachi Kazuma and Attack on Titan serires is owned by Hajime Isayama.
Prologue
Dark paths
He wondered how all this had come about. What was he done wrong? What should or shouldn't he have done to avoid this?
The boy was asking these questions in his mind as he walked what remained of a road.
Step by step surrounded by death and destruction.
He tried to give himself an answer, but for every answer he got was either unsatisfactory or led to new questions.
"I failed." he thought. No matter the way he looked at its, he had tried to save people and failed miserably.
No matter what plan he had or whether he had the support of allies, he failed.
Many emotions invaded his heart, but one emotion more than others took over.
Hatred.
For the first time in his life, hatred guided his mind.
He had always thought that such an emotion was unwarranted and had to be repressed. But now he didn't care.
He looked up and gritted his teeth. Anyone who knew this boy knew that such a furious and savage expression should have been impossible for him.
But the impossible had come true.
He advanced with a specific goal.
To kill, to kill the one responsible for all of this!
He no longer cared if it was right or wrong. Whether he saved people or not. He didn't care about any of this. He would have killed that human being simply because he was driven by hatred.
And no one would stop him.
"Where are you Eren?! I SWEAR I WILL KILL YOU!"
Academy City was a city-state populated by more than 2 million people of which 80% were students and the remaining 20% were adults. It was a technologically advanced city whose speciality was not only the scientific development but also the development of esper skills. And this latter feature was the main reason why the city was at the head of the scientific side of the world.
A male figure advanced across the city limits...
There were two large factions in this world that few were aware of.
The scientific side led by Academy City, and the magic side composed entirely of magical cabals and religious organizations. The two sides used to clash often for one reason or another even though it was usually more of a cold war in which the various groups would throw themselves some challenges to prove their superiority, but never anything big.
At least until a few weeks ago, when the extremist Catholic organization known as God's Right Seat carried out particularly aggressive acts against the scientific side by violating any peace agreement and this led to World War III, a conflict that fortunately lasted little with the defeat of the leader of the organization catholic and the victory of the scientific side.
The man did not care which faction won, although he was a wizard himself, the only thing he cared about was his goals, in fact he was quite pleased that the scientific side had won the war, considering that the alternative was to allow a religious fanatic delusional to cause a catastrophe that would destroy half the world, it was better to stay on the side of the most rational people. And he could still accomplish his goals.
He had heard of a new faction called Gremlin that brought together people from both sides to make their dreams come true with the support of the magic god Othinus, but joining them would be counterproductive, anyone who trusted Othinus despite being known to be a god of deceit and betrayal was a fool.
He could easily get what he wanted on his own. After all, only he knew the truth of the world and had the resources to do so, he would achieve the supreme victory that not even that false god could.
"Perfect." he murmured.
The man looked at the beautiful city in front of him. Here, in the heart of science, where countless espers emitted AIM fields, in the place where magic was weakest he would get what he wanted.
The perfect place for the ritual he would initiate.
"I'm almost there, soon I'll finally get my freedom."
He did not know where he was, he felt as if he was floating, as numerous images and emotions passed through him.
Death, destruction.
Hate, sadness.
Gigantic humanoid figures.
Carnage.
Agony.
A girl's tears.
Regrets.
Walls crumbling.
Bankruptcies.
Hells without end.
Lands smeared with blood.
Hope destroyed.
A distorted face taking shape.
Eyes that embodied the wrath of all humanity.
Touma opened his eyes as he woke up in his bed.
Feel the rays of the sun coming from the balcony and going to his face. He hadn't heard the alarm clock go off, he must have woken up very early this time.
"Touma." a voice called him.
The young high school boy turned his head to see a little nun looking at him deeply. She was Index, his roommate, usually she slept in her bed, but last night she had fallen asleep on the floor while watching TV. Touma put a blanket on her so he wouldn't feel cold, but he took advantage of the opportunity to go back to sleep at least once in the bed he had been kicked out of months ago. It was just what he needed for comfortable sleep.
But now he was making sure that Index wouldn't bite him for making her sleep on the floor.
"Touma, are you okay?"
However, luckily for him, the nun's anger never came. Instead she had a worried look.
"Hey, good morning Index, I hope you slept well." he said.
Index remained kneeling on the ground with a neutral expression.
"I slept well." she answered.
There was a moment of silence.
"And you?"
"Me? I'm fine. Why are you asking me?" Touma asked confused.
"You were fidgeting in your sleep; did you have any bad dreams?" she asked.
The question brought a pain in his head.
Touma grabbed his aching head with one hand. As if he was trying to remember something.
"I don't know Index. I just feel like I've had a really long dream. But unfortunately, I can't remember it." Touma answered as he stood up.
He was feeling pretty tired, apparently that dream bothered him more than he wanted to admit, even though he didn't remember it.
"I see, so you don't know why you're crying?"
"Huh?" he put a hand to his face. And it was at that moment that he realized that tears were pouring from his eyes.
Death, destruction.
Regrets.
Dreams never realized.
Corpses of men and women everywhere.
Genocides.
Cataclysms.
A gigantic humanoid figure with female features.
Desire to enslave
Desire for freedom
Desire to protect.
"See you later, Homura," said a gentle voice.
Accelerator opened his eyes as he woke up in his bed.
He began to get up with a slight pain in his head.
What a strange thing. What dream was it?
The esper could not remember it correctly. He remembered that there were images of death in the dream, which did not upset him because it was not unheard of for him to have dreams like that after all the blood he had shed and the thousands of clones killed. What surprised him was the fact that none of those images had anything to do with the murders committed by him, these were completely foreign to him.
"How strange." he murmured.
He shook his head; these things were not worth thinking about.
He got out of bed and headed for the kitchen, where the rest of his family were already having breakfast.
"Good morning sleepyhead, did you sleep well?" Yomikawa asked.
"Good morning! Says Misaka as Misaka greets." said cheerfully Last Order, the little clone he takes care of.
"Hey tou-san, you don't seem to look good. If sleep is difficult, you could sleep with Misaka if you want." said Misaka Worst, the eldest clone he unfortunately takes care of.
"Tch, I don't have time for your antics. I have breakfast, have my usual coffee and then start my day again." Accelerator said.
"You shouldn't just drink coffee, it's not good for your health." Yomikawa comment.
Accelerator ignored her and opened the cabinet where he put his coffee ... or where it should have been.
"By the way, the coffee finished last night, there was a can left but Worst drank it because she wanted to taste it." Yomikawa added.
No coffee.
Accelerator frowned at his tutor and Misaka Worst, with the latter smiling.
"The coffee tasted good tou-san."
The esper clicked his tongue.
"Well, then I'll go and buy some." he said as he prepared to get off.
"Also, today is Sunday, and the stores that sell your favorite brand of coffee are closed. I'm sorry, but I think you'll have to do without it for today." his tutor explained.
For an instant the world stopped around the boy.
No coffee for a whole day. Such a thought was unheard of to him. He always made sure he had a plentiful supply, but the numerous happenings he'd gotten involved in recently along with the addition of roommates in his life had distracted him.
Creating this terrible situation, he found himself in without his daily drink.
No coffee.
His hair cast a shadow over his gaze.
Outwardly he maintained a controlled attitude.
Inside, however, he roared with unholy fury.
Touma walked the streets with Index in tow.
It had been an unusual day, he had been able to luckily sleep in his bed without Index taking revenge, but at the same time he had woken up stressed from a bad dream he didn't even remember.
Normally he would shake it off thinking about something else, but for some reason he couldn't, feeling bitter. And as if that wasn't enough that morning he couldn't drink his favorite coffee, because it was finished the day before and he couldn't buy new ones because the shops were closed, making him feel even more bitter.
"Such misfortune." he murmured.
In recent times he had just emerged from a world war, he had faced a new terrorist group called Gremlin led by a magic god with whom he directly confronted during the events of Baggage City, needless to say that such events had shaken him. Imagine Breaker had barely proved useful and Othinus had proved to be a formidable opponent, yet he still managed to save lives.
He didn't care what circumstance, he would always find a way to save everyone.
He shook his thoughts and relaxed, for a day maybe, he could enjoy a quiet day.
His phone suddenly rang.
He took it and answered.
"Hello?"
"Kami-yan!"
"Tsuchimikado?" he asked, confused by the hasty attitude of his friend.
"Kami-yan, it's an emergency, a magician has infiltrated the city and ..."
BOOM!
A sudden explosion was heard in the distance.
"Where are you?!" Touma asked with clear concern.
"I'm heading to the central district, I'm sending you the coordinates so you can join me. We'll go get this rogue wizard."
"I guess he is responsible for the explosions." Touma said.
"It has caused it all over the city, I don't know the exact reason but we have to stop it as soon as possible." the boy sounded alarmed.
"I'll be right there." Touma said.
It was obviously not going to be a smooth day for him.
Meanwhile, Accelerator walked the streets trying to forget the fact that he had to do without coffee.
What a nuisance.
Certainly, he would not have gone around with Last Order and Worst, today he was feeling too irritated to look after the two of them and had the silent desire to seek some tranquility at least for a day.
His thoughts shifted to the strange dream of the previous night ...
The esper shook his head, he would remove such thoughts.
I just have to relax ...
An explosion drew his attention, heard people scream as they flee from a shop that had just exploded.
He sighed.
"Never a dull moment in this city." he muttered.
He would have to face some problem in the city again.
In the distance he saw a familiar blond-haired figure running towards the explotion.
Tsuchimikado? Watching the way he ran, he probably knew what was going on. Being involved in the dark side of both science and magic would be predictable. Ever since he had learned from Leivinia Birdway the nature of the wizarding world and all those involved, he knew how unpredictable wizards were and could strike the city at any moment.
He would follow him, through him he would find the asshole who was making this mess in the city and put him back in his place.
The esper smiled devilishly as he placed a hand on his electrode.
"The hunt is open."
"Tsuchimikado!" Kamijou yelled at his friend.
"Kami-yan, you made it in time." he said with relief.
"What exactly is going on?" he asked in alarm. He had run here in a hurry leaving Index alone, surely he would punish him later, but now she had to focus on the impending threat.
"I don't know much either myself, all I know from one of my contacts is that a mysterious wizard has infiltrated the city, scattered numerous magical bombs around and is causing all these explosions as he heads towards the center of the city. Numerous people have already died or were seriously injured." the blond boy explained.
"Do you think it's Gremlin?" Touma asked.
"Maybe, but unlikely. Whoever he is, he's definitely a terrorist, but I don't think he's affiliated with Gremlin. However ruthless Gremlin members would not do something as illogical as sending a single member of their group to a series of random attacks in the heart of the scientific side where we could easily put it down. They always attack with a precise plan, without wasting resources or suborninates. What this wizard did and the way he exposed himself, is irresponsible and suicidal in many ways." Tsuchimikado explained.
"Who's such a suicidal madman?"
"I have no idea but we have to stop him anyway. I found out he was heading for the central precinct, but not exactly where he was. If only we could-"
The blond boy could not finish the sentence that he and his friend were caught off guard by a pillar of red light that rose into the sky just over a kilometer away.
"Does that answer your question?" Touma asked.
"Yes, let's go there!" he replied.
So, it was that the two friends headed towards the pillar of light, unaware that a figure in white was following them ...
"Tsuchimikado, is it me or there are fewer and fewer people around since we started chasing this guy?" Touma asked.
In response, the blond-haired boy looked around and said, "The target has probably cast a spell to keep people away, whatever he wants to do he doesn't want witnesses and at the same time he want to ban anyone who might interfere."
What plans did this rogue wizard have? Were the actions of this wizard contradictory, first he engulfing several civilians in numerous explosions attracting attention and then trying to get everyone away from whatever he was doing while keeping a low profile? It didn't make sense.
Suddenly Kamijou Touma saw his friend slow down and then collapse to the ground.
"Tsuchimikado!"
"Sorry Kami-yan, I'm afraid you'll have to go alone from now on. It seems the enemy has raised a barrier and created a zone that drains magical energy. So, I'm off-limits for a while."
Touma tried to touch his friend with his right hand, there was the familiar sound of breaking glass and the blond began to feel better, only to get tired again the moment he took his hand away.
"A perpetual energy spell." the blond wizard grumbled.
"Whoever created this spell built it precisely to thwart Imagine Breaker and any attempt to break it."
"What?!"
"The opponent knew that at least one person in town could fight him so he took precautions, an area that drains magic and life force and that pillar is probably a barrier resistant even to high level mages and espers, especially if in turn powered by perpetual energy." he explained.
"I see." Touma said "Then I'll go on alone, don't worry Tsuchimikado, I'll face that bastard and I promise you that I will solve everything."
The two friends smiled at each other.
"I'm sure, I trust you Kami-yan." Tsuchimikado answered waving to his friend.
Clenching his right fist, Kamijou Touma set off ready to put an end to this madness.
Tsuchimikado watched his spiky-haired friend temporarily break through the red barrier and enter it just before it closed again. He prayed that everything will be okay, something was wrong with this mysterious wizard and he feared the worst could happen and Kamijou wouldn't be able to beat him.
I hope everything goes well. Lord, I know I don't pray to you often, but please send your help to Kami-yan.
"Hey, what's going on here senpai?" said a familiar voice behind him.
Sweat began to roll off the blond's face and he turned away, only to see a familiar white-haired face with a mix of hope, shock and horror.
It was official. God was making fun of him.
Once inside the barrier. Kamijou thought about how to deal with the rogue wizard and his spells, had Tsuchimikado called them perpetual energy spells? Does this mean that they were constantly fed from a specific source? In that case he just had to find this source and destroy it with his right hand.
In front of him numerous magical circles were suspended in the air and in the center of them a figure with a bit long black hair and with a coat of the same color that faced him.
"Welcome." the figure said as it turned.
He was a young-looking man, dressed almost entirely in black, a pale face, and a white mask covering the upper part of his face.
"I would say I'm surprised, but it would be a lie. For how powerful the barrier I built was I know it's not indestructible. Someone powerful enough could easily break it. Too bad." the wizard said calmly.
"Who are you? What are your intentions? Are you associated with Gremlin? Are you aware that your actions have hurt and killed numerous innocent people who were just leading normal lives?!" the boy asked angrily.
The man seemed to frown from behind the mask.
"You're a pretentious guy with all these questions to a stranger, but I'll be nice and oblige. First of all, you can call me Hunter and no I'm not associated with those silly Gremlin members who let Othinus scam them with false promises."
The wizard named Hunter continued to speak regardless of the boy's reactions.
"Also, why are you asking me so obvious things about the damage I have caused? I am perfectly aware that civilians are dead, I don't feel guilty for what I did, I have a purpose and if people have to die for that purpose then so be it. I admit it is a shame that young teenagers die, but since they have chosen to live in this city full of dangers whether it is high level espers who oppress the weakest or amoral scientists who do not hesitate to do any repugnant experiments, then those kids have to assume their responsibilities. And if it's not their fault then the blame falls on the foolish parents who abandon their children in such a place; especially after the third world war in which the city was militarily targeted from foreign nations, how those adults can be so irresponsible is beyond my understanding." he explained.
Touma clenched his fists enraged by the bold statement.
"Did you kill people just to fulfill your goals and put your blame on someone else!?"
"I do not deny my faults and my murders, I simply point out the result of the foolish choices of others that brought them to this end. I am only half responsible for their deaths." he stated.
"Bastard! What goal can justify all these deaths?" Touma asked angrily.
Hunter looked at him.
"Does a wizard need a reason to destroy a city of science and heresy?" he asked as he moved away from the center of the place and a black sphere appeared in his place, emitting electric discharges of the same color. The magic circles around it dissolved and the sphere grew larger. "Now that I have completed the ritual, the energy accumulated here will be more than enough to wipe out the city." he said with a smile.
"Are you crazy, do you want to destroy the city?! And then you will die too!" Touma said looking in complete shock at the ball of energy in front of him.
"My life is a small price to pay for destroying this place, any magician would be proud to give their life to destroy this place." Hunter replied.
"So, what are you going to do?" he asked.
"I don't know why you want to destroy the city and martyr yourself like this, but don't think I'm letting you." he advanced clenching his right fist. "I'll break this damn illusion of yours!"
"And how are you going to do it? Even if you kill me, the ritual will go on by itself, what could an ordinary boy like you do?"
"You will see." Touma said.
He advanced quickly towards the sphere and touched it with his right hand.
Followed by a sound of shattering glass, the sphere began to shrink more and more.
I am succeeding, the sphere is stabilizing, just another little effort and it will disappear.
But as the sphere shrunk to the size of the palm of a hand it suddenly began to glow with a blinding light and Touma was pushed away by a shock wave that knocked him to the ground.
"Ghhhaaaa!" the boy didn't know what he was but he felt an immense pain in his right arm, it was a kind of pain he had never felt before as if he felt a pain from the outside and inside simultaneously.
"By the way, I lied to you." a derisive voice said.
Touma looked at him as the man looked down on him.
"I never wanted to destroy Academy City, unlike many wizards I have nothing against the city of science, in fact I am glad that it exists. And I also know who you are, Kamijou Touma." he said.
The formerly black sphere suddenly emitted a blue-white glow and grew larger, and the red barrier surrounding them took on the same color.
"Thanks to the existence of this city, espers were created, and with the countless espers contained in one place, many things can be done. For example, they can channel their power to an end, all their AIM fields together can distort the reality and spacetime, although scientific in nature, you can still try to control that power through magic. The last thing I needed to stabilize such a mass of energy was the reference point for the world, which is the Imagine Breaker."
The boy widened his eyes at the realization.
"Those explosions you created, they weren't random, they were bait." he murmured.
"You got there, congratulations. I investigated you and your power, I know that you are often involved in the magical side, especially when such affairs involve the scientific side and I know that you would have thrown in to save anyone who was in danger and would have faced the threat. " he smiled as he looked at the sphere "But in this case you just went along with my plans."
He had been deceived, he had thought he was doing the right thing instead he had contributed to someone else's plans, he felt just like that time when Birdway led him to cause a civil conflict on the scientific side. Those accidents were to lure him here, while those barriers were to keep everyone else out, only the owner of Imagine Breaker could and should have come this far.
"What have you-" but he was interrupted by a cracking noise behind him. He turned and saw a figure force its way through the blue barrier.
Kamijou was surprised, the barrier and other border enchantments were created to prevent almost anyone from entering. Who was strong enough to be able to ...
"Fuck! Does it take you so long to take down a wizard ?! Don't tell me you got soft, level 0!" screamed the irascible figure.
Touma sighed. Obviously...
"It looks like an uninvited guest has finally arrived." Hunter said sarcastically.
"You bet, I heard from Tsuchimikado about this party and decided to crash it." the white-haired esper smiled devilishly.
"You're welcome, but it's a little late now." he said pulling his sleeve and showing a strange device on his wrist and pointed it at the blue-white sphere, the device (which had a more technological than magical aspect) lit up and transformed the sphere into a vortex whose inside seemed to distort every concept of space.
The two boys were alarmed.
"What the fuck did you do?!" Accelerator asked, ready to attack the wizard at any moment.
"I have created a portal to another universe." he declared shocking them both.
"What?" it was the only thing the spiky-haired boy could say.
"I have achieved my goal. I have opened a passage between ours and another world, a world outside the laws of ours."
"This is bullshit, such a thing is not possible. And even if it did, it doesn't matter, I'll stop you here before you continue to cause more damage." declared the esper.
"For a scientific-minded boy like yours, is the idea of another world weirder of the existence of magic?" Hunter asked bluntly.
Accelerator did not respond.
"And don't worry anyway, I'm not going to hurt anyone anymore. I got what I wanted now." he walked towards the portal.
"Do you think you can get away with the mess you made and run away?" the esper asked, frowning.
Hunter turned and gave them one last look, gave them a sad smile.
Why should he smile like that? Touma wondered.
"What did you do all this for? Was it worth it?!" for what reason should human lives be sacrificed? What was such a price worth.
"I feel sorry for you." he said.
"Huh?" Touma's eyes widened at the answer.
"I feel sorry for those who are dead and also for the living, for those who live between good and evil, between science and magic. Nothing matters, we are all just victims of fate. You ask me why I did all this, as a farewell gift I will tell you."
Hunter's tone became solemn.
"The moment we are born we should all be free, but the reality that is given to us is only a lie. Man is deluded into being the author of the actions of his own life, but there are superior elements that guide the destiny of each one of us. We call it the will of the world or divine intervention, what is certain is that in this supernatural world our actions are not the result of free will."
The portal began to absorb the wizard, ready to drag him to an unknown place.
"I advise you to leave, the portal will drag everyone in the vicinity with it, and this spell is a one-way trip. Goodbye." he concluded vanishing into the vortex.
The vortex began to change shape becoming more and more luminous, Touma felt a sense of danger at the words of the magician. They had to get out of here.
"Don't you dare escape!" Accelerator yelled as he advanced towards it.
He was immediately blocked by the black-haired boy.
"Stop Accelerator, it's too late now, he's escaped! We have to leave if we don't want to be hit by the energy of the portal!"
"Are you really going to let him escape ?! Since when do you worry that something will harm us with our abilities?" asked the esper.
"Call it intuition but I don't think my right hand and your vector control will be enough this time. We have to quickly-"
Touma did not finish speaking when an explosion of energy enveloped them both.
A column of white light illuminated the city and extended into the sky.
After a minute it disappeared leaving an empty area in its place.
Not far from there, a blond-haired teenager observes the scene in amazement, as the main witness of what has happened.
The pillar of light had disappeared along with whoever was inside.
"Kami-yan ..." Tsuchimikado Motoharu whispered, fearing whatever had happened to his friend.
The creation of a portal between worlds unleashed a type of energy that for an instant was felt by countless people around the world, be they both espers and wizards.
But few really understood its nature and consequences.
In the windowless building.
Aleister Crowley observed the recent event that took place in his city, a power that he himself had never known and it caused the sudden disappearance of Imagine Breaker and the number one.
Aleister was a man known for being perfectly calm in any situation, no matter what happened in the world everything would eventually go according to his plan.
However, the disappearance of two important elements of his plan due to a single rogue wizard brought a huge mess to his plans.
And the chairman of the board ... frowned heavily.
"I will have to take immediate countermeasures to the temporary lack of two pieces of the plan as I prepare a way to recover them."
In England, base of the Necessarius.
Laura Stuart widened her eyes and smiled as she looked out a window.
"Ara, ara, I don't know what that anomaly was, but the source was Academy City and I feel it wasn't Aleister's doing. Something very interesting will happen soon."
The Archbishop of the Anglican Church began to come up with new plans.
Sargasso, base of the Gremlin.
Othinus opened her one eye wide with a startled expression, immediately followed by a sense of curiosity and finally by a sense of annoyance.
"Something anomalous has happened in the foundations of the pure world and shook the phases of magic. I don't know what it is and I don't like it."
She was bothered by an abnormal event she hadn't foreseen, not because she was worried about the people involved, she didn't care about anyone. She just didn't like the fact that there was something in this world that she didn't know about.
And so, it was that the magic god Othinus decided that she would investigate what had happened.
It was dark, too dark. He didn't know where he was and his body refused to move.
Accelerator.
A voice called him.
Accelerator!
The voice grew louder. His body began to react.
"Accelerator, wake up!"
The esper widened his eyes, watching Kamijou Touma shake his body.
"You finally woke up." he sighed.
"Get those hands off me!" yelled the esper.
Touma walked away as the esper rose from the ground.
"What happened?"
"The last thing I remember is we were absorbed by a blinding light, I fainted until I woke up here. And before you ask, I don't know where we are, I just know that we are no longer in Academy City, and maybe not even in Japan." he explained.
Accelerator looked around, they were in the middle of a forest in the middle of the night.
"Are you assuming that we are really in another world?" Accelerator asked frowning.
"From my experience with magic I am open to every possibility." Touma replied.
The esper said nothing for a moment.
"If it were true that we are in another world then I could not even speak, as I am addicted to this." the esper said as he activated the electrode around his neck, only to open his eyes wide when he heard nothing. No changes, no increase in brain calculation and connection to the Misaka network, it made no sense!
"By the way, it appears that during our "interdimensional journey" our electronic devices broke down." the other boy said pulling a completely broken cell phone out of his pocket while muttering something about bad luck.
Impossible.
Accelerator pulled the cell phone out of his pocket only to find it melted too.
What was happening? If the electrode was broken by the time how could he still talk and walk? He put a hand to his forehead.
The scar was gone.
The bullet mark that had once damaged him was gone.
It took him a moment to realize that his brain damage was gone too and his computational abilities had somehow returned to 100%. It was surreal, yet the impossible had just happened.
He looked up at the sky. The night sky was bright and full of stars, they could all be seen clearly as in this place far from civilization there was no light pollution.
He tried to orient himself through the stars. He recognized some constellations, but others were completely alien to him or in the wrong position with respect to the astrological maps he knew.
Was he really in another world?
"Let's get out of here. Let's see if we can find any signs of human civilization."
"What if we weren't even on a planet populated by humans?" Kamijou asked worriedly.
"We'll cross that bridge when and if we get there." Accelerator answered the unlikely hypothesis of an alien encounter. They were on another planet but the esper had doubts that the local population was not human, so far, the habitat around them was not too different from that of their homeland.
"Let's go." he said.
They began to walk through the forest in search of an exit. After half an hour they found what looked like an old-fashioned white road leading out of the forest. They followed her to the end and when they were out of the forest what awaited them left them speechless.
There in the distance was a wall of gigantic proportions that stretched from right to left without any end and at the base of the walls the two boys could see a small town.
"What - what is that colossal wall?" Touma asked with wide eyes. As far as he knew no human construction was that big, he had read a book once about the Great Wall of China, but even it wasn't that tall.
He remembered the fallen star of Bethlehem created by Fiamma during the early world war, that was the only worthy comparison. Had it been created by magic would understand, but if they weren't, it meant they had been used an inhuman amount of resources and workers, the thought of it made him pale.
Accelerator was also shocked but he held back his amazement, there were more important things to focus on.
"Look over there." he said. Some distance away was a wooden sign on the side of the road. The two boys walked over and read the content.
"At least now we know where we're headed." Touma said with a sigh.
"Well, now let's head to this district of Karanes."
A/N: I hope you liked it. I don't know if I will continue this story or I will dedicate myself to it only when I feel like it, I already have some of my plans with the other stories that I started.
Many characters will be indirectly involved in this story. And the mysterious Hunter will play a major role in both good and evil.
I was partly inspired by the story "A Shattered Vale" in which the two characters are transported to the new world along with a rogue wizard. An additional antagonist was needed to balance the story and the cast, as everyone knows that Accelerator is too OP for the AoT universe. Although, for those who have read the ending of the manga, they probably know that the presence of the esper is anything but excessive. lol
Accelerator's reaction to dreams is much more moderate because he's used to bloodshed and nightmares.
The two protagonists will not immediately meet the main cast of AoT, they will have to understand first the situation and the place where they are. It would cause confusion and a huge culture shock to the native characters, especially considering that the inhabitants of the walls know very little about their own world, so I want to build the meeting between the two sides well.
Mikasa would be surprised to meet two Orientals like her, in particular Touma since Accelerator's albinism gives it a very different aspect from normal Japanese.
Thank you for following the story.
