Light Me Up

Hi guys! It's been awhile here on this story, hasn't it? Sorry about putting this story on hiatus for like a year, but as you can see, we are back to this story. For those of you that read Into You, that story is complete and we are gonna focus on this story for now on. So because of it, here's a refresher course.

This story is a companion of Into You narrated from Bella's perspective as she lives the life as America's Princess being a famous singer and actress. She's got great friends, a loving father who is also famous, and a famous mother/manager who is… a piece of work. Hahaha Along the way, we found that Bella comes across a guy named Edward Cullen who is just an ordinary guy and lately, she comes to terms to have feelings for Edward. Last time we left off was after Bella and her friends attended Edward's sister's birthday party, so here we go! Takes place during Chapter 6.

Chapter 7 – I'm With You And You're With Me

Say my name like it's the last time
Live today like it's the last night
We want to cry, but we know it's alright
'Cause I'm with you and you're with me

Butterflies, butterflies, we were meant to fly
You and I, you and I, colors in the sky
We could rule the world someday, somehow
But we'll never be as bright as we are now

We're standing in a light that won't fade
Tomorrow's coming, but this won't change
'Cause some days stay gold forever
The memory of being here with you
Is one I'm gonna take my life through
'Cause some days stay gold forever

~ The Wanted

Bella's POV

Okay, I am ninety-nine percent sure I was dreaming.

I say that because I was standing in a bright shaft of sunlight, alone. It was peaceful though, as I was standing in a middle of an area filled with flowers that's covering the green meadow. Though it was something I am not used to as a girl that grew up in the spotlight, I actually like it as it was something I needed to get away from. The feeling that is mixed of relief, liberation, a sense of regaining control over one's life. It can be a welcome escape from the intense pressure, constant scrutiny, and often superficial nature of the industry, allowing individuals to prioritize personal fulfillment and authentic connections over the demands of fame.

"Bella?"

I didn't have to look to know who it was that called my name, because I would know that voice anywhere.

Edward.

There is he, walking towards me in broad daylight, and he was looking more handsome than ever before, wearing a black tuxedo. He was walking somehow very slow, as if he was making a dramatic entrance walking in slow motion. And it's a good thing too, because I noticed something as I looked down. While Edward is looking dashing in his attire, I on the other hand am wearing just a simple purple blouse with blue jeans. Even though I owe many dresses, I feel very insecure based on what I'm currently wearing. Just when I was thinking about making a quick escape to only change out into something more appealing, I looked up and I was shocked to be face to face with Edward. How do people more slowly only to be there in an instant?

That's when Edward took my hand in his as he lifted it up until my hand reaches to his face and my heart was racing so fast, my breath was feeling shaky. I could barely keep eye contact with him.

"Happy Birthday." He whispered before his lips pressed on my hand.

I woke up pretty instantly as I gasped. I'm sure my eyelids were popping open wide. A crack of sunshine was beaming on my bed on this Sunday morning. I took a deep breath after coming in terms of what I dreamt that night. The dream that made me certain about what I was thinking since last night. That was what caused me to wake up suddenly before I heard a gentle knock on my door.

I moved my head a bit to see the door to my room opened and my dad poked his head out.

"Happy Birthday." He said, only it wasn't the enthusiastic kind you give to someone. His was just… Charlie-like since he's not one to express on occasions like these. He was smiling though.

I gave out a smile as I sat up and stretched my arms out while Charlie came over to me. That's when I noticed what he was holding.

"I thought we agreed on no presents." I said, seeing what he had in his hands.

"Well it's inevitable since you'll be getting a lot these. Besides, this one from me isn't wrapped, so it doesn't count." Charlie smirked as he handed to me a book… with a bow placed on it, causing me to chuckle at how slick my father is.

I looked at the book and my heart jumped for joy at what it is; Wuthering Heights. I loved reading this book since I was a teenager. My friends, mostly Emmett, would give me crap for reading a book that was written decades ago, especially when I read it hundreds of times. I didn't care because I enjoy reading this during my spare times or when I'm set or stage. It helps me get let loose when I work. My last copy was destroyed, unintentionally by Fluff when I first brought her home. I was sad, but I couldn't be mad at my baby when she wanted something to chew on.

"This is great, thanks dad." I smiled as Charlie nodded.

"Well I know you," He said and then whispered. "Unlike your mother who –"

"There she is!"

"Speak of the devil." Charlie muttered as my mother made herself known when she opened the door and entered my room.

"Happy Birthday to my girl!" Renee squealed as she squeezed me for a hug.

"Thanks mom." I said, accepting the hug. Though I was a bit unsure since this is my mom we're dealing with.

"This is for you." Renee said as she handed me a flat squared box in blue and gold wrapping paper with a pink bow on top. "Your father and I had it all worked out for you!" She said with a smile.

"You worked it out, buying it." Charlie commented, rolling his eyes. "I had to wrap it with you coordinating me." He said, causing Renee to playfully smack his chest.

I slowly took off the wrapping paper and opened the box to see a big diamond necklace inside. From the looks of it, it was seriously expensive judging by the yellow step-cut diamond that is attached to a rose gold chain that is covered with dozens of white diamonds on it. I'm sure even with it out of the box, this necklace would feel a bit heavy. Of course my mother would go out of her way to buy me expensive jewelry as a gift. Christmas too. That, plus shoes and designer bags, and that's something I'm not comfortable with to accept since it's too much. Though it's hard for me to not accept without making things awkward with someone who gives them to you, especially that we're talking about my mother.

I gave out a smile, even though it was forced. "This is… nice. Thanks." I said. Thankfully, Renee didn't noticed as she smiled big. "Um, you guys didn't have to go through all of this for me."

"Oh don't be ridiculous." Renee waved it off. "You're eighteen, and officially an adult! This year is a big deal for you. And I'm sure all of Hollywood knows it." She said as she then pulled out her phono and showed me E News Instagram account to see a post. It shows a photo of me where they are wishing me a happy birthday.

"Oh god." I said in embarrassment. I guess that's avoidable since being famous means people will know of your birthday.

"No need to be embarrassed! Everyone loves you and just want to wish you a happy birthday." Renee said as I let out a silent sigh. "That's why they're excited when we share the pics of your birthday party for tonight."

"Well… I just am happy to be blessed another year older." I said with a real smile.

Honestly, I am not one who enjoys parties, especially for when it's for my birthday. But my mom, and sometimes Alice, would go out her way to make sure I have the best birthday ever and that includes making things so festive. One time on my sweet sixteen, mom would even hire professional dancers who would try to bring me up on stage… and they were shirtless. Charlie went Hunter Stone and beat up the dancers when he saw how uncomfortable I was, and thankfully, the paparazzi or E News never got word of it. Charlie really gave it to Renee while she didn't see what was wrong other than being mad at Charlie for ruining the party that she paid for. To the dancers' defense, Renee never informed them of my age as they now understood of my dad's actions. That's why they didn't filed charges against Charlie.

But unlike that party and any others I've had, tonight would be different. I am actually looking forward to it. It's not just that I get to celebrate with my friends and family there, or that I'm finally an adult, but Edward and his friends, along with Renesmee will be there. And I more looking forward to spending more time with Edward.

Edward.

"Well I'm glad you feel that way." Renee said. "Now get freshen up! Your friends are making breakfast and we have lots to get ready before the big night. I just can't believe my baby is all grown up." She said, tearfully. With that, she gave me one last hug before she left the room, leaving me and my dad alone.

"Honestly, I've never seen your mother this happy." Charlie said, and I looked to see him having a surprised look on his face. "And that includes our wedding day." He then shook his head and sighed. "But she is right about one thing." He then turned to face me. "Damn, can't believe you're eighteen now. How did you get old so fast, Bells?"

I just gave out a laugh as I brush my hair aside. "Come on daddy, eighteen is barely an adult. I'm not that old." I said.

Charlie looked at me and then raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure? Because I thought for a second I saw a grey hair." He pointed out.

At those words, my eyes widened, causing me to panic. "No, no way!" I said as I frantically scrambled out of my bed. I've heard that people could have grey hairs at a young age like twenty or so, but I didn't think eighteen was possible. Unless it's genetics or lack of nutrients, I'm screwed.

I went over to my mirror to take a look at myself, but all I could see was a full head of my hair and not a single grey could be found on my brunette which got me confused. That's when it hit me as I turned to father with a frown on my face.

Charlie was trying to hold back a smile as he held his hands up in surrender. "Happy Birthday." He said as he excused himself out of my room.

"Yeah, real funny, dad." I called out as I shook my head.

After making my bed and taking a moment to freshen myself in the bathroom, I left my room where I entered the living room with a big welcome.

"Happy Birthday!" My friends cheered, causing me to let out a laugh as I was embarrassed.

"There she is!" Alice squealed as she was the first one to come at me for a hug. "The girl of the hour!"

"Hey, out of the way!" Victoria said as she pushed Alice aside and grabbed me by the face and kissed both cheeks.

"Whoa girl!" I laughed.

"Oh let them since you're now an adult like the rest of us." Rosalie teased as she wraps me in a hug.

"Okay, now move aside ladies!" Emmett boomed as he rushes towards me. "Now it's my turn to give the birthday girl a hug!" He exclaimed as he scoops me up and spins around, making me laugh.

"Okay Em, put her down. Let the best friend have a turn!" Jacob smiled as he got his turn for a hug.

"Hey!" Alice complained, causing Jacob to smirk.

"Alright you guys," Jasper chuckled as he gave me a hug. "Let the girl breathe for a moment. So, how do you feel being eighteen now?" He smiled.

"Like it's any different from how old I was before." I chuckled.

"Yeah, but it's different than your other birthdays." Jacob said. "You're an adult now. You're legal enough to do anything."

"Except drinking, but it's not like it's stopping anyone." Emmett said.

"Don't give out any ideas, Emmett." Rosalie warned him, causing Emmett to raise his hands up in surrender.

"Well come on, breakfast is ready for the birthday girl!" Emmett announced as he went ahead to the kitchen where the food is already made out where my parents are already eating.

"Don't you boys eat it all." Victoria said. "Save some for the birthday girl."

"It's okay, I'm sure there is plenty for everyone." I assured her.

"Can't say no to her." Emmett said as he and Jacob were piling food on their plates.

"Pigs." Alice snorted and then she saw something. "Jasper!" She cried to see Jasper doing the same thing Emmett and Jacob were doing as he froze in place.

"… Cooking all of this really got me hungry." He said, defensively, causing Alice to sigh as the other girls laughed. All of us got our plates as we enjoyed our breakfast. For once, my mother seemed to not criticize of what I chose to eat, even though she was eating lightly.

"We still have a lot of things to do before the big night for Bella." Rosalie said. "We got to get her hair and nails done, and get her outfit ready before we get to the party by five."

"Let's hope the party is all set and ready to go." Victoria said.

"Oh don't you worry about it." Renee said, waving it off. "Everything is all under control. Just be there and ready for the cameras."

"Who said anything about cameras?" Charlie muttered as I felt uneasy at the idea of cameras flashing at me trying to enjoy my own birthday party. That's when a thought worried me as I should've known it would be too good to be true. My inner thoughts were interrupted by Alice as she brought up something related to my topic.

"You did remember to add some of Bella's friends on the list right? The ones we mentioned. I told him he's good to good when they arrive." Alice asked to be sure as I turned to Renee to see of her reaction.

"Oh yes, it's all been arrange. They should have no problem getting in." Renee smiled as she was on her phone. "I'm surprised at how good friends you are with him."

I was a bit surprised at her reaction more as Charlie raised an eyebrow. As Charlie mentioned, I've never seen my mother this happy. Not since my career took off. I wonder what's gotten her in a good mood. Maybe it's because I'm an adult now? It's hard to say but if she's okay with Edward and his friends coming over for my birthday party, then I won't argue with her for once.

"Hmm, well in that case, let's go over the plans then, shall we?" Alice said as she began yapping the agenda before the party. The boys just rolled their eyes while Rosalie and Victoria listened along as I just sat there and ate my breakfast while nodding my head at every question Alice throws at me.

After breakfast was done and we all cleaned up the kitchen by washing the dishes and everything, mom left our hotel room with my dad as they are going to make sure the party is ready. Jacob and Emmett left to go workout in the gym while Victoria and Rosalie both decided to go outside and enjoy the sun that is out. Jasper decided to be inside as he continues reading his book that he was researching to prepare him for that action movie. I was in my bathroom where I finished brushing my teeth when I just got out of my bathroom and was met with Alice who is sitting on my bed.

"Okay girl, you wanna talk?" She asked as she patted a spot for me to sit on. I sighed as I knew where this was going before I joined Alice and soon, Fluff made herself comfortable climbing on my lap.

"What's up?" I said, not even looking at Alice as I scratched behind Fluff's ear.

"You wanna talk about what's going on?" Alice said. "Because other than your response when we wished you a happy birthday, you haven't said much over breakfast when I went over the plans for today before the party. You just wondered off in whatever is going on in Bella land. So what's on your mind?"

"Like you don't know?" I said sarcastically, because I know what will happen when I answer.

"Know about what?" Alice asked in confusion.

"Don't play coy with me, Alice." I said as I looked up and faced her. "You know what is going on with me."

"Actually, I don't." Alice said, and I can see the confused look on her face. "I really don't know what is up with you, Bella. Now you're making me worry here. What's going on?" She took my hand and squeezed it firmly. "Tell me. You know you can tell me anything. I'm your best friend after all." She teased since she and Jacob would fight over the title of being my best friend.

She really wants to play dumb with me here. Fine, since Alice wants to play this game, I might as well go along to make myself look foolish.

I took a deep breath and said it. "You were right, Alice." I said. Alice just stared at me, looking totally confused. Do I really have to spell it? "You were right about what you said. I'm in love with Edward."

At those words, Alice's expression suddenly changed… to shock.

"Wait, really?!" She said in surprise.

"What do you mean really?" I said in disbelief. "You claimed to suspect that I might have feelings for Edward since we first saw him, and you pretty much tried to convince me to admit it yesterday at his sister's party. You obviously were expecting to have this conversation."

"Well… yeah, I was right about you admitting your feelings about him, but I was expecting it to happen by seeing you confess your feelings to him, not to me." Alice explained, causing me to let out a frustrated sigh. "Okay, moving aside how I was right about you, what's going on though. You don't seem very happy."

"I am happy, Alice. I really like him. Edward is kind, a talented football player and he's also respectful person who treats me as if I was like him. Not a celebrity, just a normal girl." I said.

"I'm not exactly following here, Bella." Alice said.

I took a deep breath before I went further. "He's amazing, but I don't know how he feels about me since… well… you know… I'm… me."

"What, famous? So what does that matter to him?" Alice asked simply. "He treats you the same as if he met anyone else. It's not like he has a problem dating a celebrity."

"Would he really date me?" I asked sadly. "I don't want to feel like I'm… forcing it on him."

"I'm sure he would if you try to ask him." Alice said, causing me to sigh. "Okay look Bella, I don't know how all of this will play out, but I got a feeling if you give things a try with Edward, you two will be great together. Think about this, you don't have to tell Edward how you feel tonight on your birthday, but wouldn't that be special!" She said excitedly, causing me to roll my eyes. "My point is, just have a good time and spend time with Edward when you can. Get to know him more. At least if you're certain about how you feel about him, you can tell Edward how you feel."

I pondered about what Alice said, and maybe she's right. I should at least get to know Edward more before we could go passed the friendzone. We'll just be hanging out at my party after all. I know Edward is a fan of me, but would he really consider dating me? I mean, name a celebrity that has dated their fans. Could I even possibly have a relationship with my fan? I guess I won't know if I don't try, but my main concern is to know if Edward genuinely feels the same way about me.

"Alright," I said finally. "But I can't make any promises about me confessing my feelings to Edward tonight if comes to it."

"You take all the time you need, but I know you will eventually." Alice said, patting my hand.

"Um, Alice, can you keep this between us?" I asked. Nothing against the others, but I don't want them to know now of my feelings for Edward. Emmett would have a field day about it for example.

"Come on now, Bella, when have I ever spilled the beans?" Alice said as she got up with a big smile on her face. "Now then, shall we get ready before the big night?"

I sighed as I gave out a smile, knowing she's ready to have fun dressing me up and everything for the big night. After all, birthdays are a good excuse for Alice to dress up people and do their makeups. "Alright, let's get ready."

Once we were ready, Alice and I brought Rosalie and Victoria with us to get our nails done. After we had lunch, we got our hairs done before Alice dragged us to this store where apparently our dresses for the party is ready. Mine came in as a purple sequin min dress and it sparkles which actually looks amazing. We went back to our hotel and spent most of the time freshening up and doing our makeups before putting on our dresses. I was in my room as I got my dress on and took a moment in the mirror to look at myself.

Can't believe that this is me. I am now eighteen and officially an adult. Maybe tonight being my special day is giving me a chance to see how things turn out with me and Edward when I see him tonight. Hope he likes how I look. I grabbed my phone and took a quick picture of myself and posted it on my Instagram story. Once that was done, I put my phone in my purse and took it with me when I left the room where I joined the girls who are already dressed up and waiting for me as our ride is here. The boys already went themselves to meet us there with my parents. I found Fluff who has her new blue ribbon on as I got her in the small dog carrier. No way am I leaving her in our hotel by herself again after what I went through. Once we made sure we were ready to go, we left our hotel and got inside the limousine that apparently my mom had sent us. It's time to have hopefully the best birthday ever.

"Hun, I saw your Instagram and you look smoking in that outfit!" Reyna said as I was facetiming her during the ride.

"Thanks Reyna." I smiled, though I was blushing.

"I swear, you didn't look like the Bella I last saw before left L.A." Reyna said. "You actually look like a grownup."

"Well being in Seattle for only a week can sure change you." I chuckled.

"Yeah it does." Alice called out as she wiggled her eyebrows. I turned and glared at Alice while Reyna was confused, but gave out a chuckle.

"Anyway, sorry we can't come to your party, Bella. But we did send you a present. Renee did say it's going to be at the party when you arrive." Reyna said.

"Don't worry about it." I smiled, knowing how much spending time with her family means to her. "I do appreciate it."

"Of course, have fun tonight hun. Happy Birthday." Reyna said.

"Happy Birthday!" I gave out a laugh to see her husband Tyson and the kids popping on the screen to see me.

"Thanks you guys. Take care." I said before I ended the call. That's when our driver announced that we have finally arrived at 10 Degrees where the party is at.

"Alright, party time! Woo!" Victoria said as she opened the door and was out first.

"We may be adults now but reel it in there, would ya?" Rosalie laughed as she followed after her.

"Are you ready, Bella?" Alice asked.

I took a deep breath and smiled. "Let's get this party started." I said. I grabbed Fluff's carrier and followed Alice as we climbed out the limo.

There, I was welcomed with some cheers along with flashing cameras. Even though I've been through this numerous times, I'm not used to having cameras flashing in my direction, but I put up a brave front as I waved towards them and to the people who were waiting in line to get in.

Renee was there when we arrived and she was with one of the security guards named Kirby who is guarding the entrance of the building, and she told him to let us through. I do feel bad that the people who were waiting in line to get in couldn't like how the girls and I can where we went straight up to Kirby, and let us inside. I guess it's out of my reach, but Renee and Alice did put this party together for me and my friends, and those who were invited.

When we walked inside, I can already hear the loud music that you could hear even from outside. We followed Renee through the halls showing one direction of where others who are not on the list can still hang out in one lounge while the other way is where it's all happening.

We entered the place dark with nothing but streaming colorful lights dancing around to the beat of the music that was being played. It was getting packed as more people who were invited came in. Many of them were my friends and co-stars. There was a fountain with a swan in the middle and on the stage where the DJ booth was playing the music, was a photo of me. Of course they would add that. I went into a lounge where they aloud dogs to hang around and I let Fluff out of her carrier. I gave her a treat and had full assurance from one the employees who was watching the dogs that Fluff is in good hands before I joined everyone at the party.

I was welcomed by many of the people who wished me a happy birthday. I thanked them as I met up with my friends.

"There she is!" Emmett boomed as he scooped me up and spun around for a hug again, causing me to laugh.

"Could you give her a minute before you go hugging people?" Victoria laughed as I was put down. That's when she grabbed my face and kissed me on each cheek.

"Okay seriously?" I laughed as I pushed her away.

"Hey, they're just giving you some love, Bells." Jacob chuckled as he gave me a hug. That's when his girlfriend, Lizzie, came up and hug me.

"Happy Birthday Bella!" She said. "Welcome to finally being an adult." She teased.

"Thanks Lizzie." I said as Lizzie came back to Jacob's side, making him put his arm around her.

"Ready to enjoy your party?" Jasper asked me.

"You know me, I'm ready to just hangout with you guys." I smiled.

"And there's my girl!" We all turned and saw Charlie walking over to us with an oversize man wearing baggy jeans and a grey hoodie with his sunglasses on despite that it's dark in here.

"Gus!" I exclaimed as I gave him a hug. Gus Maxwell is the producer of Cascade Records where I record my music. He was the one who produce all my songs. Gus is one of the most successful producers in the music business as he has written many hit songs along with mine that has earned walls of platinum and gold records.

My first time being with Gus, I was really nervous to work with him, especially with how he goes yelling, coming off as rude and abrasive, but that's how he is and he actually holds a lot of respect and he shows to be patient to me, being very caring. You just have to be careful not to annoy Gus.

"Happy Birthday Bella!" Gus said. "Hard to believe you're now eighteen."

"Well, I'm still me, just older." I chuckled. "Thank you for coming, Gus."

"Oh I wouldn't miss coming to America's Princess's party." Gus smiled. "After all, someone has to get the music going. And you know I'm the man for the job because I'm, amazing!" He said as he brought up his hands and moved his fingers in a dance by his face to show off which made me laugh.

"Well better you than the last DJ who did Bella's last birthday." Rosalie said.

"Yeah, well I had to really get Renee to cave in and let me be the DJ for this party." Gus said as he showed a frown. "I mean, that woman is such a piece of work. No offense Charlie." He said to my dad.

"None taken." Charlie said as he shrugged.

"And what do you mean by that exactly?" Gus asked Rosalie. Before she could answered, someone popped out behind Gus and Charlie causing us to jump as we let out a scream when a man wearing a suit made his presence known, joined by another man by his side.

"I believe Rosalie is saying how at least you know how to bring the house down. And I'm not talking about your music, I'm referring to your temper that actually caused an earthquake that even reached all the way to Miami." The man in the suit said to Gus.

"Can't you make an entrance that doesn't give people heart attacks?" Gus asked him in annoyance as we were all trying to regain ourselves from the heart scare we've received.

"I could, but being a powerful CEO, I have every right to make my presence known. And that includes scaring the living crap out of people." The man smiled.

"If you keep that up, my heart beat might beat Gus's high score on the monitor if we both end up in the hospital." Charlie muttered as I smiled.

"Hello Griffin." I said to the man.

"Ah there's the birthday girl!" Griffin smiled as he came over to hug me.

Travis Griffin is the CEO of a corporation that owns Cascade Records so he is Gus's boss. He's the number one CEO and is very demanding; he doesn't like giving in to anything. He's very determined and driven, and loves to remind people that he's in charge. Despite his title, he does respect others and has a good heart. Not to mention that for a man older than my dad, he can be a little eccentric, slightly childish, with a cheery yet somewhat menacing sense of humor. His assistant is Jamar who is always by his side.

"Glad to have you here." I said.

"Well you know how much I love you, Bella." Griffin smiled as he let go and patted both my shoulders. "I do anything to be with the best artist in the world."

"You only like me because of how successful my music career has taken off for the record company." I teased.

"That may be true." Griffin said. "You have my best interest at heart because of what you did to become this successful, Bella, treating you like another one of my daughters. You've helped me become the number one CEO in all of America, which has helped me make millions of dollars, making my company more popular, and making me rich, and powerful. Not to mention smarter, charming with the best smile, sexier to be last year's People's Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive, and I would appreciate it that you would stop mimicking me like that, Emmett." He said, turning around to see Emmett, who was taken by surprised, was indeed mimicking Griffin with his hand up like a puppet, word from word.

"What the fuck, did you have eyes in the back of your head or something?!" Emmett asked Griffin in complete dumbstruck while Griffin just smiled, not at all annoyed or offended of Emmett's actions.

"On the contrary, I did." Griffin said. "But being in my fifties had seem to shut them down to operate. Luckily though, my new hearing aid is able to detect even sound waves of any motion even from a drop of a feather." That's when at the moment, Griffin threw up his hand and caught something in his fingers instantly which was a fly, by the wings as it was squirming to be free, causing me to be surprised about Griffin's agility at his age.

"Hello Bella."

At those words, I felt the hair of the back of my neck immediately stood up as I recognized that voice anywhere. No. I thought as I turned around as I was faced with none other than a guy with dirty blonde hair with a square face shape and a body figure that looks muscular but lean.

"R-Rider?" I stuttered.

Rider Daniels was my co-star on Rainbow Garden. He came onto to the show as a recurring character from season two to four… and he was the love interest and boyfriend to my character Evelyn. He's what you would call the teen heartthrob of Justin Bieber. All of his female fans go crazy for him due to his looks and the media does love him, little do they see through the kind of person he is.

I guess you could that fame really has gotten into Rider's head as he makes it like he's a big deal with how successful of an actor he is along with some modeling gigs he's done. But that's not the only thing. You see, Rider has a bit of a reputation of dating his co-stars he has worked with, whether their characters date or not. And when his character is pair with another actress to do kissing scenes, Rider takes the pleasure of enjoying the kiss as he would take advantage of it, even on actresses who are in a relationship that ended up broken because of him. What's worst is that once Rider is satisfied with the girl he dates, he dumps them and quickly moves on to his next victim. And right now unfortunately, I'm top of his list.

He likes – no he's obsessed about me. To say I was never comfortable working with Rider having him as my boyfriend onscreen would be an understatement. Though he gets his chances when we do kiss scenes, how he acts towards me is unsettling. He would ask me out numerous times to which I turned him down, but apparently Rider doesn't understand the meaning of the word no. He continues to try and ask me out to which I had endure to avoid conflict for the show, but then, Rider crossed the line when he went up touching me inappropriately.

I had to speak up about how Rider has been harassing me on set with encouragement from my friends, and the executives of the show were immediately on my side as they fired Rider and written his character off the show where they would say how my character and Rider's broke up off screen. The show announced their news and said that they and Rider "mutually agreed" that Rider left his role from the show to pursue other interests in his career and that they wish him the best. It is a PG rated show and they have to do their best trying to deal with messes to avoid controversies.

I haven't seen Rider since then, and I was hoping that I would never see him ever again. I was so wrong.

"Great to see you again, Bella." Rider smiled as he was joined by some of his friends.

"Um, it's great to see you too." I said nervously as I looked at everyone and them not at all happy to see Rider is an understatement. Charlie looked like he wants to go back to L.A. and come back with his gun he used in Jump Force and trust me, if you watched Jump Force, you don't want to mess with Charlie with his gun, even though it is a TV prop. "I wasn't expecting to see you here." I said carefully. I didn't want to sound like I didn't want Rider here, which I don't, but what is he doing here?

"What, you thought I wouldn't come to your birthday party when you invited me?" Rider smiled. Huh?! I was bewildered as I looked at everyone again and now they're confused. "Happy Birthday." Rider was about to come at me for a hug, causing me to panic.

"Achoo!" I pretended to sneeze, knowing how Rider is a big germaphobe.

"Whoa, bless you." Rider stepped back with his hands up and then looked at me up and down which creeped me out, it was like I was being x-rayed. "But damn, you look beautiful tonight. You wanna maybe dance with me, right now?" He smiled.

"I-I can't dance tonight. Um, leg is cramped up from uh… kick boxing this morning." I lied.

"Well we don't have to dance, we could go to your VIP lounge to… hangout, just you and me." Rider flashed a smiled as he was about to reach out his hand to grab mine.

"Ahem!" Charlie coughed as he was by my side which caused Rider to pull back, and then turned to Rider with a cold stare. "Excuse me." He lied. "Anyway, who said you could be here tonight? We made it clear about you to leave Bella alone when you got kicked off the show for harassing her."

"I told you, Bella invited me. She wanted me to come." Rider said with a raised eyebrow.

"I don't recalling Bella ever inviting you because she would've told me. Right?" Charlie said, looking at me as I nodded my head.

"Well I was on the list so obviously I was invited." Rider then shrugged and then turned to me. "But fine, whenever you ready to hang with yours truly Bella, you know where to find me." He winked at me, and then he and friends left us.

"Bella may be an adult but she is still young! So just remember that I will go Hunter Stone if you do anything to harm my daughter." Charlie called out and then sighed in frustration. "I need a drink." He said and then left us.

"Bella, are you okay?" Jasper asked as he and Alice came over to me.

"I'm fine." I said, taking deep breaths as I felt better being close to Jasper and his calm presence.

"Leg is cramping from kick boxing, really Bella?" Victoria said with a raised eyebrow.

"I panicked, okay? At least Rider bought it." I said.

"God dammit!" Jacob said, sounding very pissed as Lizzie tries to calm him down. "Who the hell invited that fucking prick?!"

"Don't look at me, I not once mentioned Rider's name when we wrote all the names down." Alice said.

"I swear I am this close to taking off of my heels and stab that rat-like face of his that surgery is not going to fix it!" Rosalie sneered.

"Not to mention he's about to lose his balls." Victoria said angrily.

"Hey, no one's killing anyone." Emmett said. "I'll kill him!"

"How did he even know about this party in the first place?" Gus asked.

"Did you invited him?" I asked Griffin. I know he's a powerful CEO with good connection to a lot of people, but he wouldn't even think about bringing Rider to party.

"Absolutely not." Griffin said, sternly as he turned and we all followed his lead to see Rider trying to hit on some girls nearby and they are clearly not comfortable with him. "He's a bad boy. A bad boy who causes quite the Hollywood commotion, making headlines for all the wrong reasons." He then grinned. "But they're also the most popular kinds of celebrities who makes the most money and date the hottest girls in Hollywood. That is someone parents would never allow their daughters to date. And I let my daughter date any bad boy. Except him." Griffin frowned, pointing at Rider. "He's a big douchebag." He said as we can see Rider and his friends get rejected by those girls.

"Oh Bella!" My mother exclaimed as she came over to us. "How's my girl enjoying the party? I hope the photographers have caught every shot of you having fun so far." She said.

"It's great, mom. Thanks." I said, though I don't know how I feel about staging myself having fun for the photographers.

"I saw Rider awhile ago. He looks handsome as ever." Renee smiled while I frowned. She really can't still be serious about me and him to become a couple, is she? She was upset before when she heard I was the reason why Rider got fired from Rainbow Garen when she insisted that he and I should be together because of "great chemistry" we had on set while she apparently defended Rider's action saying he was just trying to get to know me and that he really likes me.

"Is he? I didn't notice." I said, adding a hint of sarcasm. Renee didn't catch it, thankfully.

"You should." That's when Renee's eyes lit up. "Maybe you should meet him and have your guys pictures taken together."

"Uh," I sputtered. "I don't think that's –" Before I could make an excuse not to see Rider again, a security guard came over to my mom and whispered in her ear.

"What?" She said in confusion. The guard continues whispering to her. "Are you serious?" He nodded his head. "Didn't he make it clear to them?" He nodded again. "And they still refuses to listen?"

"They claimed that they were invited."

Renee sighed in annoyance. "Tell Kirby I'm on my way." The guard nodded as he pulled his collar to him and radioed Kirby. "I'll be back, Bella." She said to me as she blew air kisses on each of my cheek and walked away with the guard.

"Well then, hope you have good time at your party, Bella." Griffin said to me. "Meanwhile, I'm gonna go around and mingle with the other celebrities that are here, and scare them in dramatic fashion." He smiled. And with that, he took off while Jamar following him.

"You know, for an old man like Griffin, he sure knows how to take off easily." Lizzie said.

"I swear either he has a couple of screws loose, or he's a boy trapped inside a man's body." Jacob said.

"I still claim he's a robot!" Emmett declared. "I mean, has anyone even seen his birth certificate?"

"Well, he stated to have an evil clone, but he can be both ways." Gus said, shaking his head before turning to me. "Well I better get back to rocking your party. Have fun tonight, Bella." With that, he walked away, heading back to the DJ booth.

"Bella!" I turned around until I noticed the little girl running over to me.

"Hi Renesmee!" I exclaimed as I got down and hugged her.

"Happy Birthday Bella." Renesmee said.

"Thank you." I smiled as we let go. "I'm so happy you came."

"Oh Renesmee, look at you!" Alice gushed seeing Renesmee's dress.

"You look beautiful tonight." Rosalie smiled.

"And look good with that bow." Victoria said, pointing out Renesmee's bow filled with diamonds that she got her yesterday.

After giving Renesmee our attention, I looked up to see if Edward and his friends have followed her here, but I didn't see any of them.

"Where's your brother?" I asked Renesmee.

"They're outside." Renesmee said with a sad look, causing us to be confused. "They won't let us inside."

"What?" All of us were confused.

"What do you mean they won't let you inside?" Jasper asked Renesmee.

"That guy said we're not on the list."

"What do you mean you're not on the list? I made certain that your guys' names were on it." Alice said.

"I don't know, but that's what they said. Now everyone is arguing outside because he said if we want come in, we have to wait in line like everyone else. And the line is too long." Renesmee said.

Okay, this doesn't make any sense. How could Edward and friends not be on the list? We made it certain that were to happen. Were they not able to get it through on time?

"Wait, then how did you get in here?" Jacob asked Renesmee as I now began to wonder how she got here in the first place. She couldn't possible have came here all on her own at this night.

"I went under a rope while they were arguing." Renesmee said.

"Come on," I said as I took Renesmee's hand. "Let's go find your brother and get this mess taken care of."

"I'll come too." Alice said as she joined us.

"Am I in trouble?" Renesmee asked.

"No sweetie, you were trying to help. But it's dangerous to be out here all by yourself." I assured her. "I'm sure this was just a big misunderstanding, so we're gonna talk to the guards to get this cleared out."

"Might as well ask them why they let Rider in as well." Alice said. "I should've known something wasn't right when he showed up uninvited."

We left the party and headed our way outside, and on the way, we can hear the commotion judging from the angry voices.

"Now you have five seconds to leave now before I call security." I hear my mother say.

"You –"

"What is going on here?" I asked when we came out. The minute we did, I could hear people screaming for me, but I didn't care because I was seeing my mom and Kirby together where I saw Edward and his friends. Judging from what I'm seeing, they trying to get in, but what's stopping them?

Edward turned when he heard me, and when he saw me however, he did a double take as he looked down. I guess he didn't noticed his sister had snuck in.

"Renesmee! Hey!" Edward was about to rush over to where Renesmee and I are when Kirby stopped him and easily held him up in the air. What is Kirby doing?

"You are trespassing and attempting to assault Ms. Swan!" Kirby said, causing me and Alice to have those "What the hell?" faces.

"But that's my sister!" Edward said as he was trying to break free from Kirby's grasp.

"Hey, let him go!" Alec said as he, and the boys came at Kirby to try and get him to put Edward down. I was taken by surprise to see Jane jumped on Kirby's back.

"Nobody messing with my best friend but me!" Demetri said, grabbing Kirby's arm while Ben and Alec held Kirby's other arm while Seth tries to help Demetri into getting Kirby to let Edward go, who is struggling to break free.

"I need all units up front! I repeat! All units up front!" Kirby said, trying to reach his collar.

"Call the police! Get these people out of here!" Renee demanded.

"No!" Alice said as she turned to me. "This could be very bad for Edward, and being wrongfully put in jail can be the least of his worries."

She doesn't have to remind me. Earlier in the spring back in L.A., I was waiting in line to try some delicious cake at a bakery when a fan of mine had the worst experience of meeting me. The poor boy was so nervous when he came up to me. Renee and one of my former security guards Isaac, were there and they apparently went for the "shoot first, ask questions later" when he had a bag in his hands and was about to reach into it, Renee and Isaac overreacted. Renee called the cops while Isaac immediately tackled the boy down before the cops came and was about to take the boy in. Renee and Isaac claimed that the boy had a gun in the bag and was about to shoot me… not even bothering to look in the bag, which was what I did and instead, it was a canvas drawing of me the boy drew and was gonna give it to me as a gift. And because of Isaac's unnecessary roughness, it was damaged.

I felt so bad for what that poor boy went through because his experience to meet me was ruined because of mom and Isaac's actions. I was profusely apologizing to him and his parents, who rushed in when they saw what was happening to their son, even went to great lengths to have a lunch date with him, on me. The parents and their son were forgiving, telling me it wasn't necessary for me to make up for what happened (I made them cave in at the end). But they did press charges on Isaac for assault on their son along possibly suing him in court for emotional distress for what their son went through. They also filed a complaint to the police department that those cops were involved in. That's why I fired Isaac since he takes his job way too seriously. Renee was fuming, stating I was having a charity day for my fan, but I didn't care because I was mad at her for just jumping the gun.

No way this time is my mother ruining this night for Edward, his sister and his friends.

"Watch Renesmee." I said to Alice, who took Renesmee's hand as I came over to them. "Stop!" I demanded. "Put Edward down Kirby!" Kirby just stood there and stared at me, as if he's questioning me. "NOW!" Kirby slowly did so, gently setting Edward on his feet as his friends let go of Kirby and backed away. "Now can someone explain to me what is going on here?" I asked.

"These people are trying to crash your party." Renee explained to me, pointing at Edward. "And what is that little brat doing here?" She asked, pointing at Renesmee who hid behind Alice's leg.

"Watch it! That's my little sister you're talking to!" Edward snapped at Renee. I don't blame him. I am this close to snap and this close to actually slap my mother for insulting little Renesmee, but I need to know what is going on.

"Mom, these are my friends. I invited them here. Remember? I came to Edward's house yesterday to celebrate his sister's birthday. I told you about Edward after he found Fluff." I explained, hoping it was just a big misunderstanding.

"These people? I thought you were talking about Rider which was why I invited him." Renee said.

What? In what universe did my mom thought that I was talking about Rider as a friend? I was way passed confused as I turned to Edward.

"Edward, what is going on?" I asked him.

"Bella, they wouldn't let us in because you didn't put us on the list." Edward explained.

Now nothing makes any sense at all. "What are you even talking about? Of course you're on the list." I said. I was assured that they were.

"Well, security and your mother thought otherwise." Edward said as he looked over me.

I closed my eyes as I let out an exasperated sigh. "I don't believe this." I muttered so quietly. It all makes sense now. Rider claiming I invited him, which I clearly didn't, was all because of my mom. She must have took it upon herself to invite him without my say while not even bothering to invite Edward and his friends. The nerve of her.

"I am so sorry about that. I assure you and your friends that whatever they said is not true." I said to Edward, causing him to smile. "Kirby, let them in." I said to him.

"But Ms. Swan, they're not on the list." Kirby stated. Seriously? He's still going by the book?

"I invited them Kirby. Therefore, they can come in." I said to him, getting a little impatient.

"But Ms. Swan –" OH FOR GOD'S SAKES!

"God dammit Kirby! You either let my friends in now or so help me, I swear to god, when my father hears why I'm not having a good time at my party, you'll not only be fired, but you'll also end up working at a senior center as their security guard. And not the sweet, happy place senior center, the ones where all the old ladies will not hesitate to pinch your ass that will leave a mark so big, that their nails will remain stuck there!" I snapped with my hands on my hips.

Kirby and I were now in a stare-off and I thought he was still gonna disobey my orders. That's when he did this.

"Welcome to 10 Degrees!" He said immediately as he quickly unhooked the ropes and moved aside. "Sorry about the misunderstanding. Please enjoy yourselves."

"Gladly." Jessica said with pleasure as she walked passed him.

"Don't mind if we do!" Jane said as she took Seth's hand.

"Was that so hard now?" Demetri smirked as he patted Kirby's cheek before taking Heidi's hand before they walked in together.

"Thank you." Angela smiled, with a hint of glee as she and Ben walked inside.

"Don't hurt yourself big guy." Alec said, patting Kirby's shoulder before he walked in, me and Edward outside with Renee.

"Again, I am so sorry about this Edward." I said to him with my head down. I just feel awful right now for what I put Edward and the others through. Gosh, this is not how I envisioned the night to be, especially if I were to confess my feelings to Edward.

"It's fine Bella." Edward said and I looked up to see him giving me a smile of reassurance. "Shall we go in?" He asked, offering a hand. I want nothing more than to take your hand, Edward." I thought. But first,

"You go ahead. I need to have a word with my mother." I said, directing at Renee as I turned, giving my mother a glare while Renee stood there, fuming. I can see she was glaring at Edward as if this was his fault. Not even close.

"Come on, Edward." Alice said, coming over to him and took his hand, leading him inside where she took Renesmee's hand and led them to the party. I followed them, but instead of where they're heading back to the party, I went down the halls further where the empty office is because I knew my mother was following me. I didn't need to look back.

"I can't believe this!" I said, furiously when I came inside.

"I know," Renee said as she closed the door behind her. "The nerve of those kids to just come here and crash the party with some bullshit that you invited them."

"No, I can't believe you!" I snapped, turning around and pointing at my mother. "How could you do this?!"

"Me? They were the ones trying to come to your party uninvited." Renee said, taken aback as she defended.

"I invited them!" I said. "Did you not even listen when Alice and I gave you their names?"

"I thought it was a mistake, so that's why I removed their names, and put Rider and his friends instead." Renee said. "You said that you two are good friends."

"You were never listening!" I said in frustration. "I should've known you were responsible bringing him here without running it by me first. Rider and I are not good friends! You know how he's been causing me problems before."

"Oh my gosh, you're still believing that?" Renee scoffed as she rolled her eyes with her arms folded. "He clearly likes you. You should be giving him a chance."

"Well I don't like him. And that's besides the point. The point is how you were really disrespectful to my new friends, especially Edward. He was only coming for his sister. You didn't need to call the police on him." I said.

"He could've used that as deception to get to you." Renee sneered.

"Right, like he would do something that stupid in public with others watching." I said sarcastically.

"Why are you defending this guy? He was the one causing the trouble." Renee said.

"He did nothing other than finding Fluff for me and I was doing a kind act for his sister by attending her birthday party yesterday. I invited them because it seems fair." I said.

"Why would you interact with them? You could've just taken your dog home." Renee said.

"They were nice people. I don't see the harm in hanging out with them. I am on break after all." I said.

Renee just stood there and stared at me, and she was thinking for some reason. That's when she let out a gasp.

"Bella, surely you don't have interest in this boy." She said slowly. That caught me off guard.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked.

"You're not telling me that you actually like him." Renee said and she had a disgusted look on her face. I guess there's no beating around the bush when she puts two and two together.

"So what if I do?" I asked. After all, I'm not one hundred percent certain of how I feel about Edward.

"Bella, you can't possibly be thinking about going out with someone like him." Renee said.

"And what's wrong with that?" I asked as if I was challenging her.

"Bella, he's not us." Renee stated.

"Who's us?" I asked since my mother is not making any sense at all.

"I mean who even is this boy? Because I sure have never heard about him, and clearly he's not Rider." Renee said.

"It doesn't matter about who he is or what he does." I said.

"It most certainly does matter because that boy is not like us. Dating someone outside of Hollywood would damage your image as you'll lose your fame. He clearly is deceiving you!" Renee said.

"You don't know a thing about Edward!" I snapped.

"I know the kind of people he is. If he's not famous, then the only reason why he would go out with you is for your money and fame." Renee stated.

"That's not true!"

"Bella, I've seen it all happen. Anyone who goes after someone as famous as you would only want the life we have. They want to hog the spotlight and get inside information to tip the paparazzi. They also show no loyalty. He'll leave you one day and may find another –"

"Enough!" I snapped. "I'm not gonna spend the rest of this night arguing with you about Edward. And you can't expect me to date who you think I should be with because I am eighteen now and I am old enough to make my decisions if I do like Edward or not!" With that, I walked passed my mom and wrenched the door open.

"You're making a mistake, Bella!" My mom called out. "That boy will try to ruin your life if you were to be with him. He's gonna bring you down and ruin the family name. Believe me, you'll know I'm right about him and the kind of person he is."

I ignored her as I left the office and went back to the party. As I went in, I went back to the lounge and found Fluff who was playing tug of war with the other dogs. When she saw me, Fluff came over and I got down to scratch her head. With Fluff, I was able to calm down a bit, but I was still upset with my mom. Can't believe she would be so judgmental. She clearly doesn't know Edward. I may have only known Edward for like a few days, but I know enough the kind of person he is. My mother is wrong. He's not what she thinks. Edward's kind and doesn't treat me different because I'm a celebrity. I don't know why Renee could think like that. Add that she took Edward and his friends off the list and invited Rider instead makes me mad even more.

I kissed Fluff before leaving the dog lounge and back to the party. That's when I ran into Alice and Jasper.

"Hey, everything okay?" Alice asked me.

"I swear, Bella, trouble just comes to you every second." Jasper commented.

"Well I'm clumsy, so add trouble magnetism on my character trait." I said sarcastically and then sighed. "No, I'm not okay. I'm just so mad at my mom."

"Yeah, I kind of figured Renee had something to do with it all." Alice said sadly. "I'm sorry Bella, I've should've expected that, or at least double checked the list."

I just shook my head. "No, it's not your fault, Alice. She could've changed it at the last second they would come here anyway, but that's not the reason why I'm mad at her." I said. "It's what she said about Edward."

"What did she say about him?" Jasper frowned as his face was guarded.

I took a shaky deep breath and spilled it. "She kind of expects that I have feelings for Edward, and immediately doesn't think I should be with a guy like him since he's, "not famous."

"That is to be expected coming from her." Alice said.

"There's more, is there." Jasper prodded.

I sighed. "She states dating someone who is not in Hollywood would damage my reputation and believes Edward is the kind of guy who would only date someone like me only for my status as a celebrity due to my fame and fortune."

"What?!" Alice exclaimed as Jasper shushed her while calming her down. "How can she think that way about Edward? She doesn't even know him."

"That's what I told her, but she clearly sticking to her belief about Edward since he's not famous." I said.

"You know, I can see where you get your stubbornness from," Alice said, causing me to frown. "My point is, Renee shouldn't be judging someone based on where they came from. It shouldn't matter to us who we date. I mean, didn't we all came from different backgrounds before we became famous?"

"You're right about one thing, darling, but this is far different. We're talking about if Bella possibly has feelings for Edward." Jasper said.

"Didn't took long for Bella to figure it out." Alice said, causing Jasper to be surprised as he turned to me.

"Alice!" I hissed.

"Oops!" Alice said sheepishly.

Jasper just shook his head. "Look, don't worry about your mother tonight." He said to me. "Right now, what matters is that Edward is here and you can have fun with him. So go out there and enjoy the party." He then pulled me closer to him. "Also, I was right the whole time. I can read your emotions easily." He whispered with a tease, causing me to playfully roll my eyes and slap his shoulders.

"Now go and enjoy the party. Edward is with the others right now. We're gonna make sure your cake is ready." Alice said and took Jasper's hand as they walked away together.

Seeing that they're right, I took a deep breath before I started making my way over to find Edward. That could be a challenge since it's a bit crowded now with all the people who are here. I saw Rider at a bar hitting on another girl and I decided to go the opposite of where he is since I don't want to be near him. I looked around to see on the dance floor was Emmett and Rosalie, and with them are Ben and Angela, and Jane and Seth. Seth, I noticed seems a bit flustered as he was dancing with her. I then saw Alec and Jessica as they were enjoying the food by the buffet table. That's when they were joined by Demetri and Heidi, who looks like she was adjusting her dress. Okay, I don't want to know where they went.

I walked passed the dance floor to see Jacob and Lizzie with Renesmee by the fountain, causing me to walk over to them.

"Hi guys," I said to them as I gave Renesmee another hug. "Have you guys seen Edward?"

"Not since we saw shorty brought him in after what we heard what happened." Jacob said. "I think he was with Victoria when we left him."

Oh god, I hope she's not gonna make Edward uncomfortable by being too forward on him, even if she's playing around. I thought as I now had a disturbing image of Victoria trying to come on to Edward, trapping him in a room.

I shook my head, worrying about Edward now until Victoria jumped in by my side.

"What are you doing here? I thought you were with Edward." Jacob said to her.

"What happened to you by the way?" Lizzie asked.

"Uh remember that Friday morning incident?" Victoria asked.

"Oh do you have to remind us that?!" Jacob said as he covered his eyes. Lizzie was confused while I cringed at the memory.

One morning, my friends and I woke up, and were about to make breakfast when Victoria came out of the room with her latest hookup, thinking they were up first so that he could sneak out. Let's just say that Victoria is lucky to have her clothes on while the guy she slept with was wearing her sheets wrapped around him.

"Well apparently, that guy is here somehow and appears to believe what we did was actual love making when you know I'm only here for some fun." Victoria said nervously, causing me to slap my forehead.

"I told you he might come back." I said.

"Yeah, well now I need to figure out how to get him off my back." Victoria said as she turned her head and backed to us with her eyes widen. "Crap! He's heading this way! Quick! Lizzie, come with me!"

"Wait what?!" Lizzie said in surprised as Victoria grabbed her hand.

"Just help me out here!" Victoria said and disappeared with Lizzie when they took off.

"Ah man," Jacob said as he got down. "Hop on, Ness."

"Okay!" Renesmee smiled excitedly as she climbed onto Jacob's back. "Whee!" She exclaimed as Jacob took off with Renesmee riding him, causing me to chuckle before I went back to looking for Edward.

It wasn't long until I found Edward by another buffet table, but he wasn't alone. He was with my father, and it appears those two are in deep conversation as both of them were smiling.

"You remembered that NFC championship between the Saints and the Rams?" I hear Charlie asked Edward.

"You mean how the Rams got away with an obvious pass interference and the refs didn't call it when they were right in front of it?" Edward scoffed.

"I was so pissed that I wanted to grab my TV gun from the show and smash my TV with it." Charlie said, shaking his head.

"Oh my grandpa was actually like that too. And then he did shoot it." Edward said, causing those two to burst out laughing. I smiled at how they're getting along.

"Oh hey Edward," Edward turned as he and Charlie saw me coming over. "I see you met my dad."

"You can say that Bells," Charlie said, patting Edward's shoulder. "I told him about the fish and he nearly fainted seeing me." He chuckled, causing Edward to feel embarrassed from the look on his face.

"Well that's nice." I giggled. At least someone in my family approves of Edward.

"So is everything okay Bella, with you and mother I mean?" Edward asked.

Oh crap! I thought as my face fell.

I was surely chewing on my lip when I answered. "Y-Yeah, everything's alright." I said with a smile, trying to convince them. But I guess someone here wouldn't buy it.

"What happened with you and your mom?" Charlie asked as his smile completely vanished and is now concerned.

Oh great. I wasn't ready to deal with what went down with me and mom, especially around my dad. You know how those two see things differently when it involves me.

"Nothing, it's no big deal." I quickly said, waving it off. Charlie didn't budge as he gave me a glare. "Okay," I sighed. "Mom kind of… okay, she never put Edward on the list and instead put Rider on there as she believed I mentioned him as a good friend. It caused a problem when Edward and his friends arrived."

Charlie was muttering something before he sat his drink down. "Excuse me."

"No daddy, please, don't worry about it, it's nothing." I pleaded as I grabbed his arm when he tried to walk passed me.

"Bella, that woman nearly ruined your birthday by not inviting your friend to the party at all and instead invited that grade A-douche bag who is already causing trouble with the female guests. Just let me handle this." Charlie said with a stern expression. I couldn't argue with him as I let my dad go, causing him to walk away. I sighed because of it.

"You okay Bella?" I heard Edward asked.

"He always does this." I said as I turned to him. "Every time there's a problem around me, he always go and fixes it like it's a big deal. He did the same thing when I told him how Rider was harassing me on set and that got him fired from the show."

"Well, that's what father's do. He's just looking out for you." Edward said.

"I know he is, but all of that brings so much attention around me, and I don't do that well with attention whenever there's a problem of mine." I said sadly.

"Even so, your father is only doing this because he loves you Bella." Edward said.

"At least he understands." I said bitterly, remembering the conversation with my mom earlier.

"Your mother doesn't?"

"Renee is too blind to see through Rider." I said and then attempt to mimic my mom's voice by saying, "Rider is pretty cute, right? You should date him. Why are you avoiding Rider? He's trying to ask you out? You two would be the most popular couple in Hollywood. That will send your fame high. How could you have Rider fired? What did he ever do to you? What is this about him harassing you? He's a sweet boy, he wouldn't do that. Ugh! She really thinks Rider and I are meant to be, but she and most people who ship us from the show don't get it that I don't see Rider that way, nor do I think of him as a friend. He's nothing but a self-centered, narcissistic, shallow asshole who only cares about fame and looks!"

"Why is she so hung up about trying to get you two together?" Edward asked.

"Like I said, it would be good publicity for us according to her, our fame would make headlines." I sighed. "As if I cared about fame or money."

"Your mother sure is the opposite of your father." Edward commented.

"Renee acts more like my manager than a mom." I said bitterly.

"Your mom's your manager?" Edward asked surprised.

"She's been my manager since I was kid starting out into acting." I explained. "She always goes to great lengths to land me in starring roles and films so that I can follow hers and Charlie's footsteps. My father didn't push it at all, but Renee, she was pushing it. She tries to audition me in roles that didn't fit me at all. She wanted us to star in our own reality show. When I was sixteen, she tried to land me in modeling in outfits that were not my style. Not to mention I don't feel comfortable flaunting myself out like that. And just a few days ago, I hear Renee on the phone trying to get me on part of the Victoria Secret's runway show. I am not walking in front of people in – … never mind." I said, turning away.

That's when I realized I was having tears in my eyes. Great, first I had an uncomfortable encounter with Rider, Renee nearly ruined the night, disregarding Edward and his friends about me inviting them along with judging Edward without an ounce of chance to get to know him, and now I'm a complete sobbing mess. There's no way I can now tell Edward how I feel about him.

I wiped them away before turning back to Edward, who just stood there as he looked at me with concern. "I'm sorry, you shouldn't be hearing me ranting about my mom on my birthday." I said.

"No Bella, it's fine. You're just upset with your mother, that's all." Edward said as he pulled me close to him. "But you're right about one thing, it's your birthday and you should be celebrating with the people who are here for you."

"I guess." I said as I wiped my eyes again and looked at him. That's when I hugged him. "Thank you Edward, for listening to me, and for coming here."

"Of course Bella. I'm glad I came." Edward said as he slowly wrapped his arms around me. I admit that his hugs made things a lot better, like what has happened recently was no longer a concern. What's more is how it's making me feel. My heart won't stop racing, and what's more, he smells good.

"Bella, is everything – oh!" Edward and I let go and turned to see Alice and Jasper coming over to us until they got a glimpse of what they saw. "Did we interrupted something?" Alice asked.

"N-No," I said quickly. "We were just… talking. That's all."

"Okay," Alice said, looking at us closely. Oh no, I know what she's thinking. "Well we came to tell you that it's time for presents and what's missing is you. Now come on!" She said, taking my hand and dragged me away so quickly before I could say a word.

We were heading to a big gathering where all the presents were set up. However, Alice pulled me aside and faced me.

"So exactly happened between you two?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing. Really, there was nothing. I pretty much venting about my mom and Edward was understanding as he comforted me." I explained.

"So no confession or anything like that?" Alice asked.

"After what Edward and I have been through tonight, I guess now is not the right time." I sighed.

"That's okay, you will tell him eventually." Alice smiled as she gave my hands a squeeze.

Sure, but when actually? I'm only gonna be here until the end of the month and then I will go back to L.A. and continue my continue there.

"Bella, don't worry about things and let's enjoy this party. Now, time to open presents!" Alice said excitedly as she dragged to where the presents are. I was met with my parents.

Charlie hugged me. "We took care of Rider and his friends, and had them escorted out of the building since he didn't understand the meaning of a misunderstanding you never invited him." He said to me.

"Thanks daddy." I said, feeling more at ease that Rider is out of the picture now. Charlie kissed me as I saw my mom with her arms folded, looking very upset. I ignored her as Alice came behind me and placed a tiara on my head. I chuckled at her effort for this touch as I looked around to see everyone gathering around to see me open presents. I saw my friends along with Gus and Griffin up front along with Edward, Renesmee and his friends. Normally, I'm not okay with all eyes on me for something like this, but for some reason, it's different. Maybe because Edward is there to see me.

I started opening presents one by one. Some were wrapped while most were in bags with tissue papers. Every gift I got, I loved it; shoes, outfits, designer bags, jewelry, books and lots of other things that everyone including my friends and family have gotten me. The next present was in a bag. Curious, I reached into it, and pulled out what appears to be three CDs. Looking at the titles of them, I wasn't familiar with any of it, but it looks promising.

"Who gave me this?" I asked the crowd. Everyone was looking around to see who it was, but no one spoke.

"OW!" Someone cried. "OW!" That's when I heard a commotion and saw Edward being pushed forward, causing him to stumble until he regained his balance. He looked up saw everyone looking at him. Wait, does this mean…

"Edward?"

"Um, yeah?" Edward asked as I came over to him.

"You got this for me?" I asked.

"Y-Yeah." He answered nervously. "Well, actually, I… compose them from my piano."

This took me by surprise. He actually made his own music?

"You did?" I asked in complete shock. Is there anything else about Edward I don't know?

Edward slowly nodded his head. My answer, I flung my arms his neck.

"That's so amazing. Thank you so much, Edward!" I said.

"You're welcome Bella." Edward said as we let go and I was smiling big. "Happy Birthday."

The rest of the night, the party went on with no misfortunes, other than Renee being upset over how I accepted Edward's present. Games were played where everyone participated and pictures were being taken at the photo booth. There I took them with my friends along with Edward, Renesmee and his friends along with all of us taking group photos with our phones. Gus was playing the music so most of us were dancing on the dance floor. The only person I was dancing with was Edward. This was the cherry on top to make this night perfect.

Even though I wasn't able to confess to Edward how I feel about him, I was happy with how things are going between me and him. Perhaps it's heading to the right direction from where we started. How Edward sees me as not as a celebrity and just me, how he actually listens to me, how he's been treating me, I can only hope one day I am able to build up the courage to confess my feelings to him. And hopefully, he feels the same way about me.

Alright you guys, we'll leave this for now! Hope you guys enjoyed reading this chapter. It was actually fun writing this out, especially how I added some new characters that you never saw in Into You. After all, this is all coming from Bella's perspective so she meets people in her world different from Edward's. Now that we are back in the works, you can expect updates from Light Me Up and I will have this completed. I don't know when exactly I will upload the next chapter but you can always follow me and this story here to keep up along with following me on social media. The links are in my bio.

Also, sharing you guys a quick story. Into You has gain some attention… by trolls. I had them leaving reviews on my story saying some hateful things about our favorite characters (I'm certain she's Team Jacob since she's insulting Edward in any way possible). Then she goes calling me out with some vulgar words that you don't need to hear. I wasn't offended or hurt, it was actually quite funny because she would spend all day reading something and leave insults of each chapter telling people my story sucks. If anything, it's only making me and my story more popular because when I shared it on my Facebook page, everyone rallied around and spread the word and it got me some new followers and more likes on Into You, so thank you trolls for making me look good. I wish I could respond but since you're just guest and scared to PM me about my work, oh well. You know what to do you guys, give this story a like and follow and I will see you in the next chapter. Please review.
