•Rose Hathaway•
"Kiz wake up we're almost at St. Basil's. You're gonna wanna get dressed." Abe says gently nudging my shoulder.
I blink my eyes open and yawn loudly. "Did you really let me sleep the entire time, Old Man?"
"You looked like you could use the sleep Kiz. I'm guessing you haven't been sleeping well lately?" Abe offers me a shrug and a smile.
"You're lucky you're right. You have food yes?" I ask stretching as I stand up. He nods and I grab one of my bags before heading back to the bathroom. I slip off my clothes before reapplying some deodorant and a little perfume. I then brush my teeth and apply a little red eyeshadow and a small amount of eyeliner. I apply red matte lipstick and smile. I pull on black stockings before pulling on a dark grey skirt. I then slip on a red long sleeve blouse and slide my feet into my red Doc Martens. I slip my red heart necklace around my throat before putting on a gray watch and red star earrings. I take my hair down and fluff it up before pushing a dark grey headband into my hair. I throw everything else back into my yellow Hufflepuff backpack and take it back out with me.
I sit down and recline back in my seat. "You look nice Kiz. Are you feeling better now that you've changed? Oh and I had Pavel bring you this." Abe smiles before offering me a tray with an omelette, hash browns and a fruit salad.
"Yes, I feel a little bit more like myself now. And the food is definitely appreciated. Thank you." I smile and take the tray before digging into my food. I'm quiet while I eat.
"Do I need to have a conversation with Mr Belikov and Miss Dragomir?" Abe asks seriously.
"No Old Man, you don't need to threaten them. I left to give Dimitri space. And as for Lissa, she hasn't been a good friend to me in a long while. I left for space from her as well. I don't want to end up resenting them. Maybe one day I'll be to the point where I can be around them again and forgive them. But right now it hurts too much. So just leave it please?" I ask looking him in the eye.
He sighs deeply as if he would rather I ask him to do anything other than that. "Alright, fine Kiz. I will respect your wishes. Seni nasıl incittikleri için onları incitmek isterdim, kıymetli kızım. Yapmayacağım, ama sadece yapmamı istediğin için." Abe sighs looking grumpy.
"I have no clue what you are saying Old Man. Though if you promise to teach me all the best swear words I will gain a healthy appreciation for Turkish." I smirk.
Abe lets out a loud laugh and clutches his stomach. "Ah Rose, bana çok neşe getiriyorsun. Size Türkçe öğretmek benim için bir onurdur." Abe grins sharply. I tilt my head in confusion. That sounds like acceptance to me.
"Would you be willing to visit whenever you have an opportunity? I want to get to know you better but I don't think I'll be leaving all that often. If ever. We could make up for the lost time. Dad." I say in a moment of seriousness testing out the new word. It actually feels really nice.
"Oh Kiz I would love that. I will visit you so much you'll get sick of seeing me. The word you're looking for in Turkish is Baba." Abe smiles before opening his arms up. I allow him to hug me and I wrap my arms around him. It feels really nice actually, I feel safe in his arms. Though not like when Dimitri held me in his arms. It's different but a little similar.
"Thank you Baba." I say with a small smile. He chuckles and then releases me and we sit in a comfortable silence the rest of the flight. Once we land he leads me to a car while Pavel loads our bags in the trunk. Once everything is settled we drive for hours before we arrive at St. Basil's. "Alright Baba until I see you again. Thanks for helping with the flight. Bye Pavel." I smile hugging them both. Pavel helps me bring my stuff in before I'm lead to the Head Guardian's office.
"Ah Guardian Hathaway, I'm glad to see you arrived. I'm Guardian Marina Volkova. Please take a seat and I'll inform you of your duties while here." A tall female Guardian with short blood red hair and turquoise eyes says gesturing to a seat in front of her desk. I sit down and get comfortable. " Alright Guardian Hathaway, so besides patrolling. Your job will have two parts you have been assigned a charge who works here, Miss Yelena Zeklos. So you will not only be her Guardian. But also you will help mentor the female Novices. Specifically Novice Viktoria Belikova. We have received reports of you and your bond with Princess Dragomir so we know you have experience dealing with a charge who has Spirt. Thus we have paired you with Miss Zeklos. You will meet her tomorrow after you have settled in. Any questions Guardian Hathaway?" Guardian Volkova says handing me information packets to take with me.
"Umm no I don't Guardian Volkova. Thank you for this opportunity." I say taking the packets.
"Guardian Hathaway, I've heard plenty of you over the years. Guardian Petrov speaks extremely highly of you. It is a please to have you working here. Now I'll show you to your rooms after I give you a tour. Oh an in private you may call me Marina." Guardian Volkova smiles. She then stands and leads me out the door before leading me on an extensive tour of the Academy. Once that is done she leads me to my room and I walk in only to be met by Viktoria.
"Roza, what are you doing here?" Viktoria gasps before running to give me a tight hug. I hug her back and smile. Guardian Volkova says her goodbyes before leaving.
"We'll it's a long story Vika. How about I tell you over got chocolate?" I ask. She nods and leads me into a kitchen that's apparently connected to our room.
¥Lissa Dragomir¥
Today has been really quiet, weirdly enough. I'm used to Rose always crashing breakfast with me and Christian. Wait where is Rose? I walk to the door of our apartment and look down and see a letter written to me in Rose's handwriting. I run back to the kitchen and sit at the table and shakily open the letter.
Dear Liss,
By the time you'll have gotten this I'll already be gone. I can't take this anymore. Between Dimitri constantly pushing me away after everything I've done to restore him and then being told "I've given up on you. Love Fades, Mine Has" and you always taking his side and not even hearing me out I can't be here anymore. And I've ruined my career and certain friendships all in the name of love. But if it happened all over again I wouldn't change a thing. But I've been reassigned.
I'll always love both of you but I need space before I go crazy. I've given up so much for you Liss. So I thought you would understand me finally wanting something for myself. But I guess that was too much to ask huh? I've given up so much for you over the years and it's never bothered me before cause I would do anything for you Liss. You know that. But this this is too much for even me to bear. I've finally found love after years of thinking I would never get to have love. And you keep trying to take that from me Liss.
Maybe in time it won't hurt as much and I'll be able to come back and be around both of you. But for now I can't. So this is goodbye Liss. I love you and I'll be keeping an eye out through the bond but I can't be around you and him. Until I see you again Liss. Who knows maybe it'll be next year.
Love,
Rose.
"No! She promised she wouldn't leave again. How could she do this to me? I need her!" I yell throwing a coffee mug at the wall and cry. Christian runs in the room and sits next to me and holds me to his chest while I sob.
