Ruby was curious as to what the trailer was going to show about her, it could be anything. But, she couldn't wait to see what it looked like, she had her own trailer for crying out loud! The others have one too, but how cool is that? To know your own life has a trailer made just for you, it's so interesting!
Not being able to sit still, much to Weiss' slight annoyance, Raider announced for everyone to calm down and focus their gaze on the screen in front of them.
Red Like Roses Begins
Rooster Teeth Presents
Not even a few seconds in, someone was asking a question. "Who and what is a Rooster…teeth?" Jaune asked, his question slowing down at the end, wondering if he was even saying the name right.
Raider simply explained that they were the creators of all this, just like a movie and its writers and producers. That being enough of a good answer, the kids didn't question it any further.
The words turn into rose petals before flowing away, transitioning to a full moon.
A new series by Monty Oum
The words faced the same fate, then showing a girl in a red cloak, standing in front of a tombstone. Her cloak swings in the wind, leaving rose petals in its wake.
"That's me!" Ruby screams, her eyes lighting up with excitement at seeing herself on screen. Yang chuckled at her sister's wonderment with a fond smile.
"If the trailers are going to go the way I think it is, it's going to go in order from our team," Weiss assessed.
'Red like roses fills my dreams and brings me to the place you rest.'
Ruby turns around to reveal the tombstone of her mother. It read 'Summer Rose, Thus Kindly I Scatter'
The mood of the room quickly dampens as Ruby loses her enthusiasm and is replaced with sadness. Yang's chuckling stopped upon seeing her mother's tombstone, her once bright smile gone.
Ruby is now seen walking through a forest, still keeping her from view.
'White is cold and always yearning, burdened by the royal test'
The scene changes to Ruby being surrounded by countless Beowolves.
Weiss frowned when she heard the lyrics, a tad bit creeped out because of the words. They were a bit too accurate.
'Black the beast is sent from shadows, yellow beauty burns gold'
Three beowulves take the first move, jumping to land on the so-called defenseless girl, but Ruby easily dodges them and leaves a trail of roses. The grimm look around in confusion, Ruby is shown in slow motion as the word 'gold' is dragged on. Ruby takes out her weapon in normal time and fires at one of the grimm, easily killing it.
Blake's ear twitches from under her bow as she hears the part of the song that was meant for her. "That's my little sis!" Shouts Yang, cheering on her sister as she takes on the grimm.
The shot beowulf falls to the ground dead, another beowulf seeing his chance to attack charges, but he only ends up with the same fate. With each shot, Ruby is propelled. She back rolls after shooting a large hole in a grimm, then transforming her gun into a scythe. A grimm runs towards her, to which she wraps the blade around its neck. The grimm growls and Ruby gives a small smirk before cutting the grimm in half. The body is shown flying in slow motion with Ruby on one knee.
The nerds of the group marveled at the fluid motion of how Ruby moved. Even though Ruby had done this before she still looked at the screen in amazement, it was much more different if you're watching it from a 3rd person point of view.
The other half of its body falls to the ground, fading, dissolving into rose petals. Many more come to attack, Ruby simply swings her scythe, allowing the tip to stick in the snow. Ruby repeatedly fires at the grimm exploding many of them to leave them dead.
Ruby could only puff out her chest in pride as she continued to watch herself take out the grimm on screen. Yang feeling the same as she sees how her sister is taking out all of them grimm with pure ease.
Ruby jumped, dodging the grimm's attack and shooting it in mid air. This both killed the grimm and sent her farther back. She lands on handle as more beowulf come from deep within the forest. As each one approaches, Ruby effortlessly kills them. From slicing them into pieces to decapitating them.
Cries were heard from Ruby's friends, well the louder ones that is. Blake, Weiss, and Pyrrha sat silently, admiring their friend and leader's fighting abilities.
She flies up into the air, when the grimm leaps after her. She uses a sliced grimm as leverage to bring herself back into the air to slash at the others. One actually lands a hit sending her back. The screen expands and shows over the horizon where there are about dozens of grimm.
Yang and Ruby's friends aren't worried for the girl, knowing fully well the girl is more than capable of taking all of them on and winning.
Ruby replaces the current cartridge with a new one and fires it up. Sending her flying, slicing and killing grimm left and right. Scene changing to the view of the moon, grimm limbs and bullet shells flying everywhere. Killing the last grimm, she flips backwards, placing her scythe behind her. As she keeps her pose, it rains bullets.
And with that, the screen goes black with a silhouette of Ruby in front of a red blood moon. The screen changes showing four columns. Red, white, black and yellow. The silhouette shows its colors. Ruby in its place.
And with that, the screen goes black.
The lights in the theater room turn back on and all hell breaks loose. "My sister is amazing! Why didn't you tell me this happened?" Yang yells at her sister. Ruby figured her sister would have gone complete mom-mode on her, becoming overprotective of her.
This response got a couple chuckles from her friends, but Yang just pouted. What looked to others was a playful pout, but on her side it was a bit more genuine.
Raider, getting the students back on track, tells them to turn their attention back to the screen and that the next trailer is dedicated to Weiss. Hearing this, Weiss' posture straightens out of habit as Ruby bounces in the seat next to her, excited to see her partner's trailer.
The others were more than happy to watch, but Blake could sense Weiss' apprehension.
