"Pokémon: Kanto Redo"

Summary: After finishing in second place in the Kalos League, Ash Ketchum and his trusted loyal Pikachu decides to once again take on the Kanto League. With him on this journey is his good friend Serena who decides to travel with Ash and take on pokémon contests and become top coordinator and Brock, a pokémon doctor in training.

Author Notes opening statement: Hello, I decided to give writing a pokémon fic again. This will be an armourshipping fic by having Serena continue traveling with Ash. Also, I'm going to have Brock travel with Ash as well once again and don't worry, Brock will get a girlfriend.

I will need help though; I am not good at writing battles at all. So if anyone wants to volunteer to write out battles, contest appeals and contest battles for me it would be helpful.

Also suggestions for Serena and Brock's team will be helpful as well.

I already know what Ash will catch and due to the fact I won't adapt Alola or Journeys at all, Ash will get Dragonite and Gengar in this fic. He will get Riolu as well. Also if you guys want to add an oc for a rival to Serena for contests, let me know in a pm.

Prologue: The Return Home

Location: Kalos Region, Lumiose City.

The night before Ash Ketchum was scheduled to leave to go home, a certain honey blonde female was on the video phone talking to an older lady who suggested she go to Hoenn to try Pokémon contests there.

VanivilleTown, the day after seeing her friend Ash off:

"Serena, wake up. It's time for breakfast." An older voice said.

"Yes, mom, I'll be down there in a moment." the young female named Serena yelled out.

As Serena came down stairs, she looked at the table to see the food left and the older woman sitting there.

"So, you decided to go to Kanto instead of Hoenn, is that correct my dear daughter?" Serena's mother asked.

"I already talked to Palermo about it. She wasn't too happy with the choice but I want to find Ash and continuing to travel with him."

"What made you decide to male that change?'

"It was after I kissed Ash. I made the realization that I am in love with him."

"I see. In that case, I'll see about booking you a flight for Kanto. In the mean time, there's an unruly Rhyhorn that is refusing to listen to me when I try to train it to race. I need your help with it."

Serena nodded and finished eating then went upstairs to change.

Kanto Region, Pallet Town the previous evening:

There was a young male about 17 years of age was walking out of a forest with a yellow pokémon on his shoulder. He had messy black hair that was covered by a hat.

"Look, Pikachu. We are almost home. I can't wait to have my mom's cooking." The young man said as he and the pokémon Pikachu continued on.

"Do you have any idea of what we will do next?" The yellow mouse pokémon Pikachu asked.

"No I haven't, Pikachu. For now, I just want to get home. Tomorrow, we can figure out our plans." The young man said as they walked down the road towards Pallet Town as the sun started to set.

When they made it home, they entered the home but it looked like it was empty.

"Mom, I am home!" The young man yelled out.

Author notes closing statement: I'll end it here but I promise you, chapters will be longer. I do want to point out Pokémon speech will be in italics. It makes it easier for me to type out. To all the grammar nazi reviewers like Farla or anyone else, don't bother reviewing, I'll ignore you.

If you want to add a recurring oc as potential rivals for Ash and Serena, pm with teams no legendaries allowed. Also, I will take Pokémon suggestions for Serena and Brock to catch. Rhyhorn is already confirmed for Serena. As I mentioned at the beginning for Ash, Dragonite, Gengar, and Riolu are confirmed. I will also take suggestions for what Ash to catch. I will not accept legendaries.
