Sorry for being out of contact for so long, but I bring important information for the heroes summoned to Earth Bet. I was able to make contact with a member of the same species as the entity holding that area of space-time hostage and managed to learn quite a bit about their purpose.
Unfortunately, things escalated when the entity suddenly attacked me. While I was able to prevail in the ensuing battle, it will take a long time before I fully recover from my injuries. On the bright side, I have ample time to study everything I need to know about its body now that I have its corpse on hand.

I never intended for a confrontation to occur.
At first, it was a bit difficult to communicate with the creature.
But eventually, I found a workaround with magic so that we could talk.

I was able to glimpse briefly into the memories of the entity I encountered.
Apparently, it once did a sort of exchange with the entity on Earth Bet several years ago.
The entity it traded with was regarded as the Warrior entity while it had a partner that it used to follow.

It's not really a name, but I suppose that's as good of a title as any.
The one I met liked to travel by itself, so I'm referring to it as the Loner entity.

Supposedly, the partner entity was the "thinker" of the pair.
If you split them into standard party roles, it's basically a knight and magician.

Don't quote me on this, since I'm not sure the translation spell was working properly.
Apparently, the Thinker entity accidentally killed itself somehow when it landed on Earth.
The details are pretty sparse, but the other entity went into a bit of a shock once that happened.

These are aliens we're talking about.
Instead of humans or demons, it's better to think of them as spirits instead.
I'm not even sure if they have a concept of gender or romance in their species.

If you're asking for confirmation, I barely understood most of what the Loner entity was saying.
I did confirm that they had no understanding of magic or magical worlds though.
Otherwise, it seems that these entities are the source of every parahuman power there is.

Well, I'm not sure.
I'm trying to fiddle around with the Loner entity's corpse right now.
My goal is to see if I can somehow recreate the process in which these entities grant powers.

Good news, it worked.
I now have a new superpower.
It's almost like I'm invoking the power of a spirit through my body.
Except that instead of magic, I'm using some sort of dimensional energy.

Don't know how it works, but it seems that my entire body is now made of metal.
It's a strange sensation, but not something I'm unfamiliar with.

Usually, I would observe the effects of such experiments in a proper workshop.
But since I'm stuck in a magic pocket dimension I made to recover in, my options are limited.

Even with all of my abilities, I was barely able to score a victory.
If you guys are thinking of fighting someone as strong as the Loner entity, you're screwed.

Unless you have a magician extremely skilled in manipulating space-time, not much.
It should take a specific set of abilities to take down one of these entities.
But as for Manager and the rest of the Earth Bet heroes, I dunno.

If you want my advice, try recruiting some of the local parahumans for help.
Maybe some of them will be the key to defeating the Warrior entity.
If you only rely on yourselves, the chances of winning are slim.

Things are slowly progressing in the story. While Manager is still getting used to seeing herself as a hero, Wayfarer is introducing the possibility of Union heroes having the potential to get powers like parahumans. Not sure if that will come up again in the future, but it's a nice plot bunny to ponder about while I figure out how to write future chapters.
The entity that Wayfarer defeated is the Loner entity, also known as Abbadon. I only wrote minimal details since this will be his only mention in this story. The powers that Wayfarer got were inspired by Grue, Weld, and Imp.
