Sekirei (セキレイ, lit. Wagtail) was a Japanese manga series by Sakurako Gokurakuin. The premise was that a spaceship crashed, and on board, two people found 108 life forms, described as "One pillar and 107 baby birds." Minaka, one of those who found the ship decided on a game. This competition would have Sekirei and their Ashikabi, individuals who, with a kiss, could 'power them up' and have them fight for survival until the last one of each remains. In most HP stories, he steps in to stop this ridiculous game.

Another one that has bounced around in my head for a while, and I set the scene for its start.

Asama Miya, the landlady of the Izumo Inn and Sekirei #01, did not like the strange feeling in the air. At first, she thought only her guests at the inn noticed, but even those non-Sekirei she met while shopping appeared affected.

As she drew closer to the home she once shared with her late husband, Takehito, the air around her began to move unnaturally. At that moment, she wished to have her beloved katana in her hand when the street in front of her exploded in a sphere of bright light.

Although caught up in the explosion, there was no heat or pain. Instead, the strange light swirled around, caressing her before it vanished.

In its place in front of her floated a young man, at least four meters above the ground, covered in long black robes, hovering motionless for a moment before dropping out of the sky.

Without a thought, Miya moved to grab him before he hit the ground. At that moment, his eyes opened to reveal the brightest green eyes she had ever seen.

He spoke one word to her and gave a half smile before closing those beautiful eyes. At that moment, she felt something she had not felt in years. Moreover, something that she had been told would never happen to her. Still, what to do with the young man who suddenly became very important to her?

Hiroto Minaka, the eccentric chairman and founder of MBI, wouldn't have a problem hunting him down if she placed him in a hospital. With all their technology, the incident that had just occurred would have been caught on at least a dozen security cameras. However, what Miya did not know when the green-eyed man appeared was that all electricity, not just in the small area around her but within half a kilometer, went out.

Soon the Sekirei jumped impossibly high, catching herself on the roof before leaping to the next. The black-cloaked man was held protectively in her arms as she made her way home.
