First things first: I don't own My Hero—so boom, disclaimer done. And I sense one day in the far future that copyright may try to screw me over one day...

So... I want to make som'a stories for ya people—and sate my ideas—so screw it: Let's make a story based off a fic I legit just read ten minutes ago from now.

So bear with me, y'all, okay? ¿Por favor?

Trying this is to get me fired up a notch, so positive feedback (not excluding criticism of the constructive kind) would be lovely. But say whatcha gonna—'kay?

Also using mobile is just so convenient, albeit a bit wonky...

Oh, and before I forget: The fic I saw was "Deku of the Shield" by OneHighZergling. A quick read—was just glancing around fics when I found it. Reminded me I had've a tonna ideas, so... here I am...!

And before you actually read the story after this word splooge, I'm someone who loves to create my own kind o' thing, so the story will most likely diverge in some places, or many places. So... please don't get too offended that I'm changin' it up...? ¿Por favor, mí amigos?

Aaand don't read if you don't want manga spoilers. I ain't holdin' back—sorry.

'Ighty, enjoy now—hopefully. And gracias for pickin' this up.

Now time for my refresher on how to dooo wooords...

...

Enjoy deliciously!

Chapter One: The Emergence of a Green Boi— Hero

Imagine: It's a perfect day, not a cloud in the sky—humidity's at sixty perce—

In the local wilderness, two small children step out of a cluster of bushes, encountering a wide but shallow creek. The boy with sharp, blond hair—holding a flag with a mini explosion symbol stitched on—dashes forth, adventurously leaping across the stones.

"K—Kacchan! Wait—Wait up!"

"Urah! Hurry i' up, Deku!"

Now left alone on the first side of the pebble-paved creek, a boy with a mop of multi-shaded dark green hair—one that certain [readers] might typically expect as the [protagonist] of a [My Hero fic]—hops onto stones to cross the shallow creek, trying not to dirty his newly gifted shoes too much.

Enter his friend's—Blondeus explodius—ire, as he was waiting for the green-haired boy to cross but grew impatient enough to growl aloud fiercely and dash over to yank the meek green-haired boy over the creek, biting out a "C'mon now!"

If one were to look at the pair, one might question the juxtaposing personalities—one being facially soft-featured and meek, with kind green eyes; and the other sharp-featured and highly volatile, with blazing red eyes.

The volatile, spiky-haired blonde finishes with heaving the green boio off the creek stones, the boio tripping on his face in the process.

...One would likely question if this was even a friendship they were looking at. They might think it more impossible than discovering a non-virgin nun...

[...Ehem....]

But in this case, it's very possible.

...The friendship part of it.

"Kacchan, wh—how much farther are we going...?" inquiries Deku as they finally enter into the denser forest section

"Shut it, Deku. We're almost there." The blonde boy, who's name was Bakagou Katsuki, was a bit miffed his other lackeys were off visiting family rather than coming to join him. It was such a cool spot, one where he could even freely practice with his Quirk!

As for why Katsuki is calling Izuku "Deku" this early...

['Cuz I said so. Lo siento.]

The other boy—the meek one—was—you guessed it—Midoriya Izuku. He always came along with his friend Kacchan, or Katsuki, on their adventures. Katsuki seemed really thrilled about this one—about this open location near their neighborhood, however, so he really wanted to join, because what kid wouldn't want a really cool location for an awesome super hero base? Definitely wasn't Izuku, that's for sure!

Another minute later, they run forward—Katsuki, exciting and thrilled, pointing at a small river; and Izuku, afraid of being left behind in the forest, looking in the direction Kacchan was pointing at: A long fallen tree trunk spanning the width of the river.

"A—A huge tree bridge!" Izuku exclaims with interest.

Katsuki's excitement took a tinge of irritation. "No, look at that!" he aims Izuku's head upwards.

Above was a probably four-story-high cliff side that the river ran down, where a large cluster of large natural stone formations and small boulders at the bottom. Izuku's enjoyment flipped to apprehension. I—Oh no, please don't tell me he wants to go up the—

"See that, Deku? We're going up there!"

Oh... poop...

After a very risky (and reluctant on Izuku's end) climb up the cliff, Katsuki skids over to the edge of the cliff, eyes taking in the thrill of the height. Izuku waddles up near Katsuki but quickly scrambles away from the edge.

"Now that we're finally here... watch this." Katsuki cracks an ominously sharp grin, sweat with gleeful anticipation—

—before jumping over the edge, embracing the airtime.

"KACCHA—!" Izuku stops himself, seeing Katsuki readying his palms in his free falling. He eases his forward descend with small explosive puffs, roughly—but safely—landing on a soft patch of grass away from the cliff's bottom.

Dusting himself off, he triumphantly points up at Izuku, declaring, "YOU SEE THAT, DEKU! I DID THAT! WHOOO!"

Izuku stood frozen, comedically shocked still, looking like he might faint. But that wasn't all that might make him faint today—oh no.

"HEY DEKU! YOU EVER HEAR ABOUT HOW ALMOST DYING MAKES YOUR QUIRK STRONGER?!" Izuku snaps out of his shock, not liking the sound of this. "MAYBE YOU SHOULD JUMP IN CASE YOU GET A QUIRK!"

"I—No! I don't want TO—?"

Izuku felt no ground under his left foot.

Izuku was staring up at the sky, everything spinning in slow-mo.

Izuku was facing down, plummeting.

He saw Katsuki's face contort in fear, as the blonde tries to boost towards him with abnormally large and flashy explosions.

Izuku's mind continues panicking in fear and desire to stop as he guards his head with his arms, seeing the sharp stone formations closing in from below.

Izuku's world... began to shine green.

Seeing his Quirkless friend plummet to his death ignited something inside him, but even with this something, it just wasn't enough after he froze in shock.

Even as he reached out, he was just out of reach.

Izuku crashes in front of him in a large splash of stone and water and green light, a shockwave knocking Katsuki back.

Katsuki catches his balance as panic halts into apprehension, blocking the splashed water and pebbles trying to smack against his face. Something's off. That light—that crash: Odd.

On guard, Katsuki slowly approaches the dust-clouded crash point, unable to see Izuku, but needing to see what... remains.

"...errh..."

Katsuki's body and heart stops, mind on hyper alert. He grits his teeth and swings his arms to wave away the dust with explosions.

What remained was...

"K...Kacchan...? Are you... okay...?"

Izuku was lying there... okay? Albeit scraped up and worrying for him rather than himself, but... intact...?

"De— Deku, what the hell?" Katsuki could barely make out words. The nerd survived a head-on crash...? He looks up. From... that height...?

Izuku sits up and winces, rubbing his body in sore spots with his left hand. "I—I don't know wh— *sharp wince* ...what happened either..." Izuku rolled his right arm around since it felt particularly sore—

"Deku, what the hell is on your arm...?"

Izuku blinks. He looks at his arm.

On his arm was a small steel shield with a small, rectangular, thicc glass piece built near the top portion of it—but most noticably of all was the radiantly green-glowing gem in the center of the shield, one that was slowly dimming.

Both Izuku and Katsuki, that day, said, "What the f—"

Now rest assured, they didn't say what you think they said!

Anyway, yes, I feel the chapter was iffy, but at least tolerable and a but entertaining. But trust me, if all goes well, this'll be the perfect start needed to pump out waaaay more quality.

So yea, if ya interested so far, help me help you by giving some likes, follows, comments, or somethin' like that.

And for those of you who know what's goin' on: Perfect, you'll have a clue as to what the cinnaboi (as I hear 'im called) will be dealing with in future chapters if we get there—like, I wanna get there already!

If you got questions, I'll answer asap. Got requests? Ask 'em. Want longer chapters? Weeee'll talk about it. Just know that scheduling will be nonexistent. Unless I try to give a time. Like right now, I'm feeling another chapter within a few days.

¡Ciao!
