The Game.

Something that has slowly taken over genres when it comes to Isekai/reincarnation-like predicaments. I never once thought that's what waited for me in my eventual passing. If I have actually passed, that is as I don't remember dying.

I just remember closing my eyes, going to sleep and then waking up in a different bed and room than the one I owned back home. I opened my eyes to an unfamiliar ceiling and with an 'odd' feeling all over my body.

There's indeed a noticeable feeling when one just wounds up in a smaller body, and this one was… well, small. I was younger, that much I could say, but what gave me the most of what was going on was the two screens that appeared in front of my eyes as I fully woke up and started to panic.

Full Rest concluded! Your HP and MP have recovered.

So, first thing first, I am the 'Gamer' in this situation. And I am now inhabiting Shingo's body, which is, by the title alone, Tsukino Usagi (Sailor Moon)'s little brother.

Holy fucking shit, why?

Yes, I get it that there's not always a chance to decide where to end up with, but this was, absolutely, a massive mess to unwrap. I was one of the close-to-nonexisting characters in the show- Shingo barely appears as a staple character and he is missing most of the time.

Heck, the original creator of Sailor Moon didn't even give him a fate for the future- what happened to Usagi's family in the future? No one knows! They were all dead, that much I knew, but really- how much did Usagi care for them by the end of the day with how 'bad' some of them were?

I couldn't fully blame her, the brother was a brat but he was also in tune with their parents' 'worry little, bash always' kind of mindset they had for Usagi's own issues. I was one of those characters meant to be forgotten and ignored…

And that would be my future if I didn't do anything about it. Which is why I had to do 'some real shit' rather than just sit around and play the game. I pushed myself out of bed, glancing at the alarm clock sitting on the nightstand- it was five. School started roughly at eight-nine so… things should still be quite slow in this house at this point.

I walked up to the kitchen and found the source of the quiet humming, currently busy working up a breakfast for the entire family. Tsukino Ikuko, Usagi and Shingo's mother, was the perfect sight when it comes to traditional housewives, while the silent man sitting by the table, reading some papers while sipping from his coffee had to be the old man, Tsukino Kenji.

"Morning," I replied half-chirpily, and I saw both parents turn to me with a bit of surprise.

"Good Morning, Shin-kun," Ikuko greeted back, still sounding perplexed. "You woke up early compared to usual."

"Oh," I realized that could have been a thing but- I am good at improvising. "There's this manga I wanted to buy, so I wanted to do it before school."

They all eased down a bit at this, while 'father' shook his head and muttered under his breath something like 'silly manga' and 'teenagers'.

I couldn't blame him considering that Usagi was an avid manga reader at this point- of the trashy romance kind at that, which makes her even more receptive to the trashy romance born from Mamoru's awkward flirting.

"Well, breakfast is not ready yet. You can get prepared for school."

I nodded, but before leaving there was something I decided to probe about.

"Maybe I could also get Oneesan to wake up?"

The two adults paused again, but Kenji snorted this time around. "If you can do it… sure."

Ikuko remained quiet, but nodded in agreement at her husband's response. Meanwhile I was stunned when this response actually generated a Quest for me to deal with.

Oh well, that's… something.

It was still free EXP and it gave me an idea on how this 'playthrough' was going to turn into as there were 'Continuous Quests' ready to give me free EXPs in due time. Which means there were also going to be other EXPs with higher difficulty to keep an eye on.

Loot, EXPs, and so more to keep an eye out for…

First, I went to the bathroom to get myself ready for school. I fetched my school clothes, cleaned up, fixed my hair and then went to venture into the 'Usagi-Baka' Lair. The room was dark and there was only one thing sparkling from deep within.

The hopeless hope of a girl trying to sleep forever.

Sadly for Usagi, she ended up with a brother that now cared a lot for her and had plenty of experience in handling sisters with oversleeping-related issues. I am a malicious and yet benevolent individual, you see, and I enlisted the ideology of 'you will wake up, no matter what'.

"Neesan," I muttered quietly as I got close enough for her to hear. My voice instantly had her groaning and trying to dig deep into her bed for safety.

Sadly, much to Usagi's deep chagrin, her attempt to be a bed bug was ceased by a pair of fingers rushing towards her cheek and pinching her face upward. The groaning then was followed by the glaring as Usagi opened her eyes and aimed those at me.

"Scram, I need my beauty sleep."

"You could have had it if you hadn't wasted hours worth of sleep reading trashy manga."

She pouted. "They are not trashy. And it's too early."

"Well, if you don't wake up…" I trailed a bit, a coy smile appearing on my face. "I'll start kissing you awake."

Usagi's face hardened into a stone-like expression, eyes wide-open as her cheeks burned up red at what I just said. My eyes narrowed in a disgusted look as I caught up to what she was thinking.

"On the cheeks, Ero-neesan."

Her jaw dropped. "I-I am not- I was not."

"You were, but I will forgive you if you wake up now."

She was frustrated, pouting at me because of that but… still woke up.

Quest Completed: Awaken My Moon!

Neat.

I left her to her things as I returned to the kitchen with a winning smile. Breakfast was ready and it was scrambled eggs.

"So?" Ikuko asked, wondering how it went with Usagi and I.

"She's coming. I just had to pinch her awake."

"That's not nice," Mother chided quietly, clearly not meaning it as it worked for once and my Father just nodded happily at this turn of events.

By the time Usagi was out of bed and wandering to the kitchen, I was almost done with my food. I was hungry and I wanted to explore a bit before going to school.

I noticed one thing that I found surprising which was that Usagi was a bit more developed compared to other girls her age- damn Moon genes were already showing - but I didn't do much but briefly glancing there and then getting ready to leave.

Right as I was stepping outside the kitchen, Usagi stopped me with a bit of surprise.

"Don't you want me to walk with you to school?"

"Hm? Oh, my friends and I are going to check the manga store as there's some new things there to check," I remarked. "Plus, you should not rush your morning routine or you will be too sleepy in class."

That last comment took her by surprise as it felt less as teasing and more as a reasonable advice. But before she could have asked me about it, I was just out and wandering Azabu-Juban to get a proper understanding of where it was within Tokyo.
