Everything either belogs to J.K.R or Disney.
Before I started writing Harry Potter in Alagaesia I started this but never got around to publishing it. I have a few other ideas for other stories in the future and I might even get back tho this to further flesh this out, but I just have a hard time focussing on two things at the same time, so it will have to wait until I have finished my other story first.
Just a reminder that english is my second language, so any feedback is welcome!
Braum, a man with well-developed muscles and broad shoulders, strolled through the streets of London.
With dark brown hair that was already showing signs of greying, his eyes scanned back and forth as though searching for something. Making his way inconspicuously through the crowds, he turned onto a side street and eventually reached his intended destination. He pulled his cloak tighter around him and banged his fist on the door in a precise order.
It took a moment for the door to open, revealing a tall, dark-skinned man.
The man's eyes widened when he recognized Braum.
"Kingsley!" Braum greeted his old friend, but Kingsley shook his head.
"Not here... Come quickly inside."
Upon Braum's entrance, Kingsley quickly surveyed the streets before shutting the door. The two greeted each other in a tight hug.
"How are you? I haven't heard from you in a very long time." Braum asked as he sat down on the couch.
With a sigh, Kingsley filled a glass with whiskey. "Do you want one?" he asked his friend.
"I'll pass for now. I have pressing matters to discuss with you," Braum replied, shaking his head. Kingsley took a good sip of his glass and raised an eyebrow at his friend.
"What is wrong? We swore to each other we would only meet again in dire times," he asked concernedly.
Braum leaned forward and took a letter out of his coat.
Kingsley accepted the letter and opened the envelope. He read it through and leaned his back against the chair.
"Can you help us?"
Kingsley nodded determinedly. "Of course." He grinned at him. "I also know exactly who I'm sending with you."
They stepped through the fire when a house-elf greeted them.
"Minister Kingsley," Kreacher bowed slightly to him. "With a Mudblood. Mistress would be beside herself if she knew," Kreacher murmured.
"Kreacher, piss off!" Kingsley boomed. Kreacher bowed deeply to Kingsley and disappeared behind another door.
"Lovely," Braum said, looking around. The peeling wallpaper added a dreary atmosphere to the entire place.
"Indeed, it is. Follow me," he said, gesturing to lead the way.
Kingsley showed him the way to the dining room. What they stumbled upon was unexpected.
Lying on the floor before them, Harry was swaddled in a massive coil of dough, with a white-furred cat perched atop it, nudging Harry's nose with its paw.
"Harry, what on earth happened to you?" Kingsley laughed.
Harry glared at the man.
"Instead of just standing there, can you lend me a hand? My arms and legs are beginning to go numb," he requested.
Despite his efforts to move it back and forth, the scroll remained firmly in place.
Kingsley couldn't help but burst out laughing, and even Braum, who had not smiled in ages, couldn't help but crack a smile.
Drawing out his wand, Kingsley effortlessly made the roll of dough disappear into thin air. The white-furred cat, perched atop Harry's chest, shot Kingsley a furious stare.
Harry let out a chuckle upon catching the cat's glare and proceeded to scratch her behind the ears. "Aurora has a bit of a temper," he remarked, as the cat gave his cheek a lick before hopping down from his lap.
Rising to his feet, he stretched his tired muscles until he heard the satisfying sound of his joints snapping back into place.
"Ah, that's much better! I was stuck in that position for hours," Harry exclaimed, as he shook hands with both Kingsley and Braum in greeting.
As they settled down, Kingsley asked, "Was this another present from the Weasley twins?"
Harry nodded tiredly. "I only dated their sister for less than a month, and that was three years ago. You'd think they'd give up by now," he remarked with a grunt.
Kingsley chuckled. "Knowing those two, they'll never give up," he remarked. Harry put his hands in front of his face and desperately rubbed his face up and down.
"Or you could report it," Kingsley suggested. Harry looked through his fingers and replied in a hushed tone, "You know I can't do that."
"Then you'll have to learn to live with it," Kingsley countered. Harry sighed and eyed the two men in front of him.
"What brings the honor of your visit?" Harry asked the two men.
"I don't usually get a visit from the Minister and a Muggle when I take my first vacation in years," Harry scowled at Kingsley and added, "A vacation I had to take because of you." Kingsley raised both of his arms defensively.
"Harry, you've never taken a vacation! Since you joined the Auror Academy, you haven't taken a single day off. Andromeda would be sending me a howler every day by now," Kingsley exclaimed.
Harry maintained his scowl, but eventually responded, "I never took a vacation for a reason, Kingsley. I need to keep myself busy to avoid certain things. You know that."
Kingsley sighed in defeat. Braum cleared his throat, drawing everyone's attention.
"Perhaps we could talk about this?" He pulled the letter from his jacket pocket and laid it on the table in front of Harry.
Harry arched an eyebrow. "What is that?"
"A letter," Braum replied curtly.
Harry's eyes darted over to Braum. "I can see that. But it won't be an ordinary letter if Kingsley comes to me about it."
"That's right," Kingsley interjected. "You might want to know what this is about," Kingsley said, nodding to Braum.
"My friends call me Braum. I am captain of the Arendelle soldiers. We received this letter a couple of weeks ago."
Harry pulled out his wand and tapped the letter with it. It flashed briefly, but nothing else happened. He extracted the letter from the envelope and began perusing its contents.
Your kingdom will be ours. Should you refuse, your people will succumb to ominous pains beyond your imagination. You have been warned.
"I can feel a small tingle of magic on the letter. Do you know who wrote this?" Harry asked, while he put the letter back on the table.
Braum shook his head. "One of our soldiers picked the letter from an owl."
Harry exchanged a look with Kingsley. "The letter was not cursed, I checked that earlier." Kingsley said, leaning back. "What did the owl look like?" he questioned Braum.
"It wasn't a native owl, that's all I can tell you."
"It could be one of ours." Harry tapped a slow melody on the table with one finger. "I think before we go any further, you should tell me what this is about. As far as I know, there is no country called Arendelle. Neither in the muggel nor in the magical world."
Kingsley nodded in agreement. "I'll begin with the backstory, as that's where it all started," he said, gesturing towards Braum. "Before I can explain where Arendelle is, I need to go back a bit." Harry placed three bottles of Butterbeer on the table, and Kingsley gratefully took a sip, feeling the cold liquid run down his throat.
"Well, Harry, I was older than your parents by a few years. The time when Riddle and his Death Eaters were not even a rumor. I had good grades, and being a pureblood, all the paths were open for me, but nothing appealed to me." Kingsley rubbed his chin with his hand and took a sip of Butterbeer that Harry placed on the table. "Until one day, an old man came to visit me," he continued.
Harry furrowed his eyebrows. "Who did visit you? Was it Dumbledore?"
Kingsley chuckled. "Not quite. It was his brother Aberforth."
"Aberforth? Why would he visit you?"
"Aberforth came to see me," Kingsley continued. "I saw him a couple of times in Hogsmeade, but I have never spoke to him. Horrible what happened to him at the Battle of Hogwarts." Kingsley took another large sip of Butterbeer and gave Harry a serious look.
"Aberforth Dumbledore was at the time the head of the Unspeakables."
Harry's eyebrows shot up. His mouth is wide open in shock. "Aberforth was an Unspeakable?"
Kingsley nodded. "I was just as surprised as you. I always thought of him as a barkeeper. He took an interest in me and offered me a job."
"A job? I thought you'd be an Auror right away?" Harry frowned.
Kingsley smirked at him. "Not always. It wasn't until Voldemort and his idiot followers rose to power that I became an Auror. The years prior to that I was working with the Unspeakable," Kingsley explained.
Harry leaned back as Aurora jumped onto his lap and crouched there. He started stroking her spine, which she enjoyed immensely.
Kingsley continued, "And I began working with the veil of death."
Kingsley raised his hand quickly to calm Harry who had tensed up.
"I couldn't tell you because I was under an oath that wasn't broken until after Aberforth died." Kingsley rubbed his eyes. "I must be honest with you, I intended to keep what I knew about the Veil to myself forever." He looked over at Braum.
"If Braum hadn't come to me, we would never have had this conversation."
Harry inhaled deeply. He finally had accepted Sirius' death, so he could understand why Kingsley wanted to keep knowledge of the Veil to himself.
"And? What did you find out?" Harry asked interested.
Kingsley laughed quietly. "I had only spent a few months with the veil of death and was entirely unsuccessful."
"I was young, impatient and very frustrated... Out of frustration I approached the Veil and just wanted to throw something through to blow off some steam when another Unspeakable surprised me, when he called out to me."
"You were surprised?" Harry asked in disbelieve.
Kingsley let out a booming laugh. "I doubt you would believe me, but I wasn't always the person I am today... Anyways, the Unspeakable surprised me. I slipped and fell through the veil of death."
Harry gasped. "That's not possible. You wouldn't be here then."
"Indeed," Kingsley agreed. "If the veil was what I thought it was."
"You mean to tell me that the veil is something else?" Harry asked, with a hidden hope in his tone.
Kingsley rubbed his temples tiredly. "I don't know how it exists or where it even came from. I fell through the veil and ended up on the other side of it."
"And on the other side awaited Arendelle, my homeland," Braum added in a grim voice.
Harry knocked on the door and an elderly Witch opened it for him.
She blinked her eyes and looked as if she had just woken up. "Harry? What are you doing here at this time?" Andromeda frowned.
Harry opened his mouth, but no words came out. Her eyes immediately became more alert. "Come in. But please be quiet, Teddy is still sleeping."
Harry gave her a grateful smile and quietly walked past her into the living room. Andromeda closed the door behind him and sat down across from Harry. She stared at him for a moment before finally sighing.
"May I ask," she looked at the clock hanging in the room. "Why are you visiting at 2 in the morning? Couldn't it have waited until tomorrow?"
Harry put his hands in front of his face. "I'm really sorry about that, but I needed to talk to someone."
"Something happened?" she asked worried.
Harry shook his head. "Not what you're thinking. But I'd best explain it to you. Kingsley had visited me earlier with a muggle."
Andromeda raised an eyebrow in surprise. "A muggle? Why?"
Harry explained to her what Kingsley had told him. How Braum as a young man had found him in the woods of Arendelle and the two were then attacked by thieves.
Kingsley had to use his magic to defend himself and Braum. They spend months with each other's company and with Braum's help, the two found the veil on top of the biggest mountain.
"They both went through the veil of death and ended up back in the Department of Mysteries. Braum then stayed for a few months before wanting to return," Harry explained.
"And now years later the same muggle shows up at Kingsley's door asking for his help," Harry concluded.
Andromeda took out her wand and waved it in Harry's direction. Nothing happened.
She shrugged when she saw his expression. "I just wanted to make sure you weren't put under some spell."
Harry grinned at her. "Even Voldemort couldn't do it and you think Kingsley would be strong enough?"
Andromeda glared at him and pointed her wand at Harry's private area.
"I didn't say anything," Harry said, raising his hands defensively. Andromeda smiled sweetly at him and placed her wand on the table in front of her.
"What are you going to do?" Andromeda asked.
Harry blinked in confusion. "What am I going to do?" he asked uncertainly. "I haven't even decided if I'm going at all. Kingsley wanted to give me until tomorrow to decide."
Andromeda snorted and folded her arms across her chest. "Harry, I've known you for almost four years now. You have made your decision when you made your way here."
Harry ran a hand through his black hair. "I just don't know if it's the right one." At her questioning look, Harry added, "I can't leave you and Teddy alone."
Andromeda got up and sat down on the couch next to Harry and looked into his eyes.
"I want you to listen to me, Harry. You are now 22 years old, have grown into a handsome young man who has accomplished impossible things in his life." Harry flushed at the praise. "It's been four years since you rid us of that monster." A small tear ran down her cheek and Andromeda tapped his forehead with her finger. "But you're still trapped inside your own head. You became an Auror and started to immediately hunt down Death Eaters. You became the person that the public wanted you to become."
Harry gave her an angry look. "And is it wrong to want to help other people?"
Andromeda held her hands on the sides of his face. "No, not at all. But you didn't become an Auror to please the public. You wanted to become an Auror to help people."
She pulled her arms back and looked out the window as an owl flew by. "I've noticed for months how unhappy you are. You're just doing paperwork and are stuck in your office. Do I need to remind you that you've never taken a vacation? In three years?"
Harry opened his mouth to say something but couldn't say anything as it was true.
"Kingsley mentioned exactly the same thing," Harry muttered.
Andromeda gave him a smile. "Then you know what you should do, don't you?" she asked him.
Harry looked into her eyes. "And what about Teddy?"
"He would wish that his godfather would do what he thinks is right. It's not like he'll never see you again."
Harry tiredly rubbed his eyes. "Yes, you are right."
"Of course, I'm right," she said smugly, which made the two of them laugh.
Harry gave her a tight hug. "Thank you," he mumbled.
"Your welcome," she said as he pulled away from her.
Harry couldn't sleep and spent the rest of the day with Teddy, who luckily distracted him from any gloomy thoughts.
He was sitting in the garden with Teddy, who was showing him his new best friend. A little snail.
"His name is snake," Teddy announced with a big toothy grin.
Harry flicked Teddy's nose. "You know your friend is a snail and not a snake?"
Teddy rubbed his nose. "Sure, I know that Uncle Harry! I'm already four years old!" Teddy playfully called out and showed him three fingers.
Harry laughed and showed Teddy the correct number of fingers. Teddy's hair turned red for a moment, as he always did when he was angry or embarrassed.
Harry ruffled Teddy's hair, causing his cheeks to puff out.
Teddy got up off the ground and walked on shaky legs to the flowers where he hid his friend.
"Hide before grandma finds you," Teddy whispered to his friend, hiding him beneath a few fallen leaves.
"Andromeda will be thrilled about your friend hiding within her flowers," Harry murmured, taking Teddy in his arms.
"Oof," Harry groaned. "You've become quite heavy!" Teddy looked at him wide-eyed and pouted adorably. "I have not!"
They heard Andromeda laugh and Harry turned around with Teddy in his arms.
"Don't you have to leave soon Harry?" She asked him.
Harry nodded and kissed Teddy's cheek. The boy squirmed in his arms, and he let go of him. Teddy landed on his tiny feet and ran to his grandmother, who knelt down and wiped dirt from his nose.
When she was done, Teddy turned to him. "How long will you be away, Uncle Harry?"
Harry sighed and knelt at eye level. Today Teddy had reddish brown eyes.
"Maybe a couple of months. I can't say how long exactly."
Teddy wrinkled his nose like he smelled something bad. "I don't want you to go."
"I know, but I can help these people."
Teddy sniffled into his t-shirt. "Why can't anyone else do that? You promised me we would finally watch Star Wars."
Harry gulped when he saw Andromeda's scowl. He had promised her that he wouldn't show him movies like Star Wars until he was older.
Teddy put both hands over his mouth and looked up at his grandmother. "It's a secret, granny."
Andromeda covered her face to hide her grin.
Harry shook his head. "We're going to watch Star Wars when I get back, okay?"
Teddy nodded and wrapped his arms around Harry's neck. Harry held his godson tightly to him.
"Show 'em Uncle Harry." Teddy mumbled and broke away from Harry.
Harry wiped a tear from his face with his hand and took a deep breath.
"I'd better be going now," Harry said, hugging Andromeda one last time.
The next thing Harry realized was that he was falling, and the ground was getting closer and closer. He got close so quickly that Harry landed face down in the sand.
"And another victory for me!" Braum shouted with a triumphant grin. He walked up to Harry, sword in hand, and offered a hand to him.
Harry raised his head from the ground and spat out a considerable amount of sand from his mouth. He grasped Braum's offered hand and hoisted himself up with its aid.
"That was so close, Harry!" Another voice called joyfully and ran towards them.
Harry got up and bowed. "And next time I will defeat him, Princess Anna!"
The young princess chuckled and pouted at Braum.
"Why is Harry allowed to fight and I not?"
Braum sheathed his sword and said, "Harry is your guard, Princess."
Anna huffed but didn't let up.
"And if you aren't there? Wouldn't it be better if I could defend myself?" She glanced over at Harry who just shrugged.
Braum also gave Harry a sour look.
"Don't look at me like that, Braum. She's right about that. We can't always be with her."
Braum mumbled something unintelligible and looked into Harry's eyes. "With one condition."
Harry arched an eyebrow. "You will convince Princess Elsa to train as well."
Harry ruffled his disheveled hair with his hand. The topic of Princess Elsa was a difficult one.
It has now been two weeks since Harry walked through the veil of 'death' with Braum and arrived in the wilderness a little away from Arendelle. Braum told him that he always showed up somewhere else, but it was always near the castle.
It only took a few hours, until they reached the city. Braum had forewarned that Arendelle was several years behind technologically, but that turned out to be an understatement. For Harry, it was closer to the Middle Ages, which ultimately didn't bother him that much.
The city was breathtaking. Cheerful people ran through the streets, negotiated with each other and children ran through the streets.
Braum was greeted by numerous townsfolk who openly greeted Harry with a warm welcome.
Harry couldn't help but compare the people to those he'd met. Local residents in Surrey were snooty and cold, while wizards and witches were willing to lay the carpet at his feet wherever he went.
The people of Arendelle were like a fresh summer breeze to Harry.
Finally, they stood in front of the gates of the castle.
Harry frowned. "Why are the gates closed?" he asked curiously as they passed through a narrow door on the side.
"It has been many years since the gates were open. Why they were closed I cannot tell you. All I know is that the king gave the order. They will not open again until Princess Elsa is crowned Queen," Braum answered.
Harry nodded absently and the two walked towards a house set back from a small chapel and the castle.
"This is where the servants and guards live. Put your things down and a servant will take care of them and bring them up to your room."
Harry put his things down and took the cage with Aurora out of his pocket and enlarged his things with a tap of his wand.
"You shouldn't be doing this in public," Braum criticized.
Harry groaned in annoyance. He had sworn to Kingsley that he would not use magic unless someone's life was in danger.
"I didn't use magic, Braum. These are runes I can use without the wand."
"Anyway, please be discreet, Harry. Come on, I've got to announce I'm back. Remember the story we agreed on."
Harry nodded determinedly and walked after him. From the inside, the castle couldn't be compared to Hogwarts. It felt cold and there was something magical missing. As he followed Braum, Harry noticed how few servants and guards there were. He would later have to ask Braum why there were so few.
"Braum is that you?" a female voice asked from upstairs.
Harry looked up to see a beautiful woman. She had blond hair tied back in an elegant ponytail and was wearing a purple dress that buttoned up to her neck. She walked slowly down the stairs and with every step Harry could almost hear his heart beating.
As she approached them, she spoke to Braum, and Harry got a better look at her. She was around his age and her eyes… Merlin they were the most beautiful blue eyes he had ever seen.
Harry shook his head and drew in a breath. Unfortunately, this drew attention to himself.
'Get yourself together, Potter!'
"This is Harry Potter. He was part of the project I told you about and will be your personal guard from now on, Princess Elsa," Braum explained after a moment when neither Harry nor Elsa introduced themselves.
"A pleasure to meet you, Princess Elsa," Harry said with a small smile.
Her eyes met his and she inclined her head in greeting.
She turned back to Braum. "What about Anna? Shouldn't she have a guard too, especially since she's so…" Elsa looked like she was trying to think of a word that would best describe her younger sister.
"Adventurous?" Braum asked and Elsa nodded neutrally, but Harry saw a flicker of amusement in her eyes.
'Why is she holding back her emotions?'
But Harry didn't have time to think about it because Elsa said goodbye and Braum showed him the rest of the castle and introduced him to the other servants.
Since he had arrived, Harry had hardly spoken to Princess Elsa, let alone even seen her. She spent most of her time in the library or inside her room.
"Are you sure?" Harry asked as he looked at Anna's determined face.
She nodded determinedly. "I'll talk her into it."
Harry wasn't sure if it was a good idea, but he didn't know the two sisters very much and thought it would be better to just follow Anna on her way to the library, and maybe to stop a possible fight between the princesses. Because Anna and Elsa were very different from each other.
Whereas Anna was like a wild storm, exploring everything that interested her, Elsa was cold as ice and showed disinterest in everything but the affairs of the kingdom.
They reached the library and Harry saw Elsa sitting on a wide sofa near the window. She held a book in one hand and a fork in the other, absently jabbing at the piece of chocolate cake.
Harry hid a smile as Anna jumped onto the sofa with a loud battle cry.
Elsa jumped up, startled. The fork flew out of her hand in a high arc and Harry caught it before it clattered to the floor.
"Anna! How many times have I told you not to frighten me!" Elsa said angrily. She held her gloves tightly around her hands as if she was afraid, she was going to lose them.
Anna didn't notice her fear and just pouted. "You're locked in here all day. Wouldn't you like to come outside with us to the gardens?" she asked with hope in her eyes.
Elsa straightened up and looked down at Anna. "I don't have time for this, Anna. Please go now, I have more important things to do."
A shadow covered Anna's eyes, but it quickly disappeared again. "Braum promised me he would teach me how to wield a sword."
"That's nice for you, Anna. Please go now," Elsa said firmly.
But Anna ignored her sister and remained seated. "But he'll only teach me if you do it too."
Elsa stood rooted to the spot. "That's not possible," she said loudly.
Her powers were too dangerous for that. She couldn't let anything happen to Anna or Braum.
She packed her things and walked past Harry when they both heard a sniffle.
Elsa turned around and saw with wide eyes that Anna was crying. She sat huddled together on the sofa, holding a round pillow in her arms, which she hugged tightly.
"Anna?" Elsa asked as she cautiously approached her sister.
Anna turned away from her.
Elsa sighed. "What's going on? You know I have to prepare for the coronation."
Anna mumbled something unintelligible into her pillow.
Elsa grimaced. "I didn't understand you. Could you repeat yourself?"
Anna took the pillow from her mouth and glared at Elsa. "It's all you do now, Elsa! Ever since mother and father-" Anna's voice cracked and she took a deep breath.
"I miss you. We haven't spent time together in ages. Can't you take a day off from that and do something with me? For once?"
Elsa seemed to think long and hard, so much so that Harry was unsure if she would respond. Anna thought so too and got up with a sad face, but Elsa held her back. Both sisters locked eyes with each other. "I can take a break tomorrow, but after that I don't want to be interrupted," Elsa said firmly.
Harry chuckled when he saw Anna's sadness drain from her face and give way to a broad grin. Anna jumped around and her dress twirled around her. "Finally! This is going to be the best day ever!" she shouted loudly. But then her eyes widened.
"I have to prepare! It has to be the best day after all!" With that, she bolted out of the library and disappeared behind the doors of her room.
Harry chuckled as Anna ran by. Even Elsa had a smile on her face.
"You should smile more often, Princess Elsa. It suits you," Harry said as he helped Elsa put away her books.
Elsa's face froze immediately. "Keep your opinion to yourself, guard Harry."
Harry shrugged and picked up the plate of chocolate cake he had eaten. "If you would like another piece of cake, please let me know and I will take care of it."
He gave Elsa the Potter smile that even his father would have been proud of.
Something flashed before her eyes, but she took a deep breath and it vanished.
"I'm going to my room now. I don't want to be disturbed." She walked past him, and Harry could swear he could feel air was getting colder.
"Jane! Come with me! I want to show you something!" Sophie called a blonde girl with freckles.
Jane ran after her best friend, gasping for breath when they finally stopped.
"Why were you running so fast?" she asked Sophie.
Her best friend came closer to her. She looked around, but nobody could see her behind the bushes.
"I know how we can see Queen Elsa!"
Jane's brow furrowed in confusion. "But she's not even Queen yet."
"It doesn't matter. Do you want to see her now or not?" she asked Jane.
Jane thought for a moment and nodded eagerly. "Sure, but how do you know that? No one has seen her in years."
The two got up from the embankment and walked towards the castle.
"A big man with blond hair told me that!" She told her friend. "Do you see that wall over there?" She pointed with her finger at the wall in front of them.
"Yes... but how are we supposed to get up there?" Jane frowned.
"Look! There's a tree, the branch has grown over the wall."
Jane gulped. She had never been a great friend of heights, but she couldn't let her friend down.
Harry sat a little apart from Anna and Elsa on the meadow. The two of them were sitting comfortably in the warm sun and having a wonderful chat.
As the girls continued to laugh and the sound of the stream running through the garden filled the air, Harry closed his eyes.
"Harry! Come over here!" Anna's voice reached him.
As he turned onto his side, Harry opened his eyes to see Anna looking at him with a wide grin.
"Fine," he sighed and walked over to them.
Anna let out a cheer and quickly pulled Harry down by his arm, causing him to hit the ground hard on his bottom. "Ouch," he muttered.
Elsa gave Anna a disapproving look. "Anna, you should apologize," she said. But Harry shook his head and gave them a reassuring smile. "It's okay, no harm done," he said.
Elsa looked at him one more time and then started eating another piece of her cake.
Anna turned towards Harry. "Thanks for baking the cake, Harry! It's really delicious," Anna added with a smirk. As soon as Elsa heard from Anna that the guard had baked the cake, she choked on her piece of cake.
Elsa coughed repeatedly and gratefully took the glass of water from Harry's hand. "Thank you," she said, and Harry just looked at her with amusement.
"Soo," Anna began. "Would you tell us something about yourself, Harry? We haven't met anyone new in a long time as either Braum or Kai take care of most of it."
Harry agreed to her request and nodded slowly. "What do you want to know about me?"
Anna tapped her chin with one finger and lifted it in the air as if she had an idea. "I've got it! Where did you learn to bake? Gerda won't even let me wash a plate, let alone bake something in the kitchen," Anna grumbled.
Harry had to laugh. Gerda was Kai's wife, both of whom had served the former king and queen for years.
"Gerda didn't let me into the kitchen at first either. I had to convince her first." Harry looked at Elsa, who was listening intently.
"She gave me a task to bake a cake that was fit for a Queen. I didn't know if I could make one, but I tried my best."
"And then?" Anna asked curiously.
"I thought she would try it herself," Harry chuckled. "She had a wicked smile on her face and left. She walked out of the kitchen with the plate and cake in hand. I later found out that she gave it to Princess Elsa. Since then, I have had to bake the same cake for Gerda once a week."
Anna gave Elsa a knowing look, causing her to blush slightly. "It was delicious." She just said and averted her eyes.
"That's all a cook wants to hear." Harry expressed his gratitude with a nod.
"Hm. Yummy," Anna moaned as she stole a piece from Elsa's plate.
"Anna! That's mine! Find your own cook!" Elsa called out and took the plate out of reach from the eyes of her hungry sister.
Harry quipped with a wink, "I had no idea I was your personal chef."
Elsa blushed, but her embarrassment disappeared as Harry suddenly got up.
With a worried look, Elsa asked, "What's wrong?"
Harry's magic showed him the way, and he suddenly started running.
"No! Jane, hold on!" screamed a girl. Harry looked up to see a girl several feet off the ground, desperately clinging to a branch that reached over the wall into the garden.
The girl tried desperately to hold on to the branch, but then the branch broke under her weight.
"Jane!" screamed another girl who was still standing on the wall.
But Harry disregarded everything else around him and concentrated solely on the girl, as if he were chasing the Snitch in a Quidditch match. He ran around a small fountain and jumped forward.
As Harry landed, his shoulders hit the ground first, causing him to fall on his side. The impact made his head hit the wall, and he lost consciousness. Before blacking out, he saw the girl in his arms, staring at him with a look of shock.
Elsa finally felt relaxed again in a long time. Although she had to make up for the time, she spent with Anna today to prepare for the coronation, it was a nice change of pace, and she missed Anna dearly.
She wished she could just drop everything and go on an adventure with Anna, but her hands clenched in frustration.
She couldn't let anything happen to her sister. Not when her parents went away to learn about her powers and died on one of those trips.
A single tear rolled down her cheek as she struggled with the difficulty of the situation. She wished her parents would be there for her.
She wiped the tear from her eyes and observed as it gradually transformed into ice. Elsa would have locked herself in her room again immediately if the new guard hadn't come around the corner and seen her standing alone in the hallway.
"Are you all right, Princess Elsa?"
She took a deep breath. "Conceal, don't feel," she whispered to herself.
Elsa straightened herself. "Yes, I am fine."
She looked into his emerald-green eyes. So far, she hasn't seen much of the new guard, other than a few glances when she saw him in passing.
There was something unique about him. It wasn't just the looks, but that certainly helped him, she giggled internally.
No, it was the air that surrounded him. She felt comfortable and familiar in his presence, something she only had with her parents and once had with Anna.
"Do I have something on my face?" he asked her, and he tried to inspect himself in the window.
"No, you look good." Elsa blinked. She just didn't say that… Right? She could already hear the rumors that would arise among the servants.
"I'm sorry? I didn't hear you correctly."
Her eyes widened slightly. "N-Nothing important. Is Anna there yet?"
The guard shook his head. "Not yet. In the short time I've been here, I imagine that she's still sleeping. I was just going to check on her."
Elsa's lips went slightly up. "You observed correctly. Even as a small child, Anna had trouble getting up early..."
Elsa spotted Anna basking in the sun's warmth, and upon catching sight of her, Anna beamed with a broad smile and sprinted towards her.
Elsa hated to do that. She would love nothing more than to hug her little sister, but she couldn't endanger her, so she raised her hand to stop her.
The momentary pain in Anna's face broke her heart, but it was better than being touched by her curse.
But as Anna was, she quickly replaced her expression with a big smile.
"I'm so glad to do something with you, Elsa. It's been so long!" Anna said energetically and ran ahead with a little jump in her steps.
It warmed her heart that Anna still wanted to do something with her, even though she always kept the distance from her sister.
"What's in there?" Elsa asked when she saw a basket covered with a cloth.
Anna smiled mischievously and leaned forward to remove the cloth. Elsa enjoyed the smell of the freshly baked cake.
"Hmm," Elsa hummed as she watched Anna cut a large piece of cake and hand it to her on a plate.
She just loved chocolate and the taste was just heavenly.
"Does it taste good?" Anna asked amused, when Elsa relaxedly by closing her eyes.
Elsa's ears turned red, and her cheeks turned slightly pink, when she heard Anna's remark.
"Very much so... I'll have to go to the kitchen later and thank Gerda," Elsa said while slicing another piece of cake with her fork.
Anna said something to her, but Elsa was lost in thought until she saw the new guard move towards them.
Elsa didn't know what to make of him. Braum had explained to her that he was looking for a successor and that he had met Harry on a trip some time ago, but Elsa didn't want to have anything to do with him at first.
She didn't like it when something changed in her life, especially when it came to someone important to her like Braum, who she's known since she was a little girl.
Their first meeting was strange, but in their few conversations, he turned out to be a friendly young man.
Elsa watched wide-eyed as Anna grabbed his arm and yanked him down, and he fell to the ground. His hair was tousled, and his glasses were crooked over his nose.
Her cheeks flushed slightly as her thoughts went in a direction they were never allowed to go.
'Conceal, don't feel.' She repeated her mantra until she felt secure again.
As she was disciplining Anna, as it was her job as an older sister, she choked on her piece of cake when she found out the new guard was the one to bake her, her favorite new cake.
During the conversation she became more and more nervous for an unknown reason. In the end she even got red in the face. How dare he even flirt with her? She was the future Queen!
But her thoughts vanished when the guard suddenly stood up with a serious expression.
She saw him start running in a direction that led to the gates. She exchanged a look with Anna and gave her cake one last hungry look. She ran after him, but her panic rose as she saw two young girls who had climbed the wall. One of them was holding onto a branch with the last of her strength.
'Can I save them with my ice? But what if I hurt them like Anna?'
Her eyes widened and she shook her head as if trying to shake off the thoughts.
She must try. What good was a queen that could not protect her own people?
Elsa pulled on her glove, but before she could remove it, the guard jumped up and grabbed the girl with wide arms and landed in front of the wall. She heard a dull thump.
"Harry!" She heard Anna scream and pulled her glove back up. She took a deep breath and quickly ran after Anna. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see Braum running towards them.
Anna knelt in front of Harry and helped the girl up, shock on her face.
Elsa turned to Harry and looked shocked to find a wound on his head.
"We should take him to his room," Braum managed as he took a deep breath.
Elsa nodded and called for another pair of guards which took Harry by the arms and legs.
They picked him up and slowly walked away. Elsa looked up and the second girl was still on top of the wall. Tears were streaming down her face.
"Are you alright? Are you hurt?" Anna asked the girl. She just sniffed and shook her head. The fear was literally written all over her face.
She studied them for a moment.
"Maybe it would be a good idea to bring them both inside," Elsa finally decided. The girl looked up at her startled, but Elsa gave her a warm smile. "You don't have to worry. Would you like a hot cocoa?"
"Will he be fine?" Jane asked worried.
Gerda nodded confidently. "He should wake up soon."
Jane and Sophie sat next to each other, holding hands tightly.
Elsa sighed softly. This was really not how she had imagined the day to be.
She reached out and brushed a strand of hair out of the young man's face. Her eyes widened when she saw a lightning bolt shaped scar. Her skin tingled as she gently ran her finger across the scar.
"That feels good," Harry murmured and Elsa's face flushed. She immediately withdrew her hand from his face. She looked around and was glad no one had seen what she had just done.
Harry opened his eyes and groaned as he felt something cold against the pain in his head.
"I feel like I got run over by ten horses," Harry said, sitting up.
Harry had to swallow when he saw Gerda glaring at him. She reminded Harry a lot of Madame Pomfrey.
"I hope that doesn't happen again," Gerda said to him.
Before Harry could even answer, she turned and walked quickly out of his room.
Anna giggled. "Finally, it's someone else that Gerda is mad at. Thank you, Harry!"
"You're welcome," Harry said dryly, turning to the girls.
"Are you alright?" He asked the girl he had caught. If only he could have used magic... But promises were promises.
She nodded slowly. A tear ran down her cheek. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"It happened; you can't do anything about it now. In the future it would be better if you stay away from high walls, okay?"
She avoided his gaze for a moment, but then looked at him with bright eyes.
"Okay," she whispered.
"Good," Harry said, stretching. "I'm hungry now." It didn't take long for his stomach to growl loudly.
Everyone had to laugh, even Elsa had a small smile on her face.
"Guard Harry?" Elsa asked.
Harry turned to her and frowned. "Please just call me Harry. Anything else sounds too formal."
Elsa nodded after a moment. "All right. The same goes for you then."
Harry blinked. He hadn't expected that. "Of course, Elsa."
"How are you feeling, Harry?" Elsa asked. Anna didn't know where it came from, but she felt a strange feeling rising up inside her... Was it jealousy? She shook her head to get rid of the thought.
"I'm fine except for the headache," Harry answered.
Elsa stood up relieved. "I'm glad to hear that... will I see you tomorrow?"
Harry looked at her weirdly. "I think so."
"Good, I'll see you in the morning then." Elsa smiled softly and left the room.
"Sure," Harry said, a little uncertain. Anna looked after her sister with her mouth wide open.
"Wow," Anna murmured, walking out of the room as well. "I have to think about something." Was the last he heard from her before she disappeared around the corner as well.
"Are we in trouble?" Sophie asked. The girls had just introduced themselves.
Harry shook his head when someone knocked on the door. It was Braum. "No, you won't get in trouble."
The girls slumped, as if a heavy weight had been lifted from their shoulders.
Braum sat down in the chair Elsa had just been sitting on.
"But I'd like to ask you two a few questions," Braum said seriously. Harry had to laugh inwardly when he saw how pale the girls turned. They looked so much like Teddy when he screwed up.
"Why did you try to climb over the wall?" Braum asked the two of them.
Jane glanced over at Sophie, who took a shaky breath.
"We-" she began, but Jane shot her an angry look, and Sophie quickly corrected herself. "I wanted to see Princess Elsa."
"Princess Elsa? What for?" Harry asked in surprise.
Sophie got a glazed look. "I don't know... I just knew that I really wanted to see Princess Elsa."
Harry exchanged a disconcerting look with Braum. "Sophie, you have to listen to me carefully. Has anyone given you anything lately? Maybe as a gift?" Harry asked her.
Sophie nodded eagerly. "Yes! Just recently a man with blond hair gave me a letter."
She covered her mouth with her hand. "No! I had to give the letter to Princess Elsa!"
Braum jumped up and Harry raised an eyebrow. "Really? Do you still have the letter with you?"
Sophie nodded uncertainly. "Yes, I have it with me." She pulled the letter from a side pocket and Harry took it.
As soon as his fingers touched the paper, he felt a magical pulse.
The girls were soon escorted out of the castle by another guard with a request that they never climb over the walls of the castle again. If they really wanted to see the princess, they could ask about Harry.
Harry sat in front of the letter with his arms crossed.
"This isn't a normal letter, is it?" Braum asked.
Harry tapped his finger against the letter. "You're right. I can feel a spell being placed on the letter... In simple terms, whoever is holding this letter is being coerced into something. In this case, Sophie has been tricked into delivering the letter to Elsa."
Braum banged his fist on the table and knocked over individual cups.
"And? What does it say?" he asked after he had calmed down.
Harry snapped his fingers and the letter rose in the air, unfolding.
Pictured in black ink was the Dark Mark.
A weak sun threw faint light through the window. Harry looked up from his bed and saw the white clouds drifting over Arendelle. On a journey that only a bird could follow.
It didn't take long, and Harry was ready for his morning walkabout. It's been exactly a month since the incident with Jane and Sophie. Exactly a month since he found out that Death Eaters were lurking around somewhere, just waiting to conquer the kingdom.
"I won't let that happen," Harry promised, walking through the gates into the city. It was still early in the morning, but the first residents were already awake and getting ready for the day.
He moved outside of the city and found the first rune stone, which he placed around the city and castle. On the stone was a sequence of various Norse runes to warn him should anyone with ill intentions set foot in Arendelle.
He traced with his finger Algiz, the rune that represents protection and defense.
It glowed with a faint light and Harry closed his eyes as a faint magical pulse emanated from the rune and brushed over him like a warm summer wind.
He propped his arms on his knees and stood up. "Now, there are six more to come," Harry sighed and set off to walk off the rest of the runestones.
"You're back already, Harry?"
Braum shot Harry a concerned look.
Harry nodded. "Everything is quiet, if the preparations for the opening of the gates can be described as calm."
"I'll be so glad when this is all over," Braum lamented with a wry face. "I'm looking forward to finally having a Queen again but is it necessary to go through all that effort?" Braum grumbled.
"Braum, you know as much as I do that it is tradition," Kai said, the overseer of Arendelle.
"Tomorrow is finally the day that Princess Elsa has been preparing for years."
"You're right, Kai. I'm just too old for all the hustle and bustle," Braum growled.
Kai smiled at Braum's response and saw what Harry was holding in his hand.
"A little something to eat before work, Harry?" Kai asked, looking at the piece of strawberry cake with interested eyes.
Harry laughed and held his arm up protectively in front of the cake. "It's not for me, Kai."
"I see," he said with knowing eyes. "You shouldn't keep the princess waiting, Harry. She's waiting for you in the library."
Harry nodded his thanks and ran up the stairs at a brisk pace.
Both men watched him until he disappeared from their sight.
"Do you think she's going to give him a chance?" Kai asked Braum.
Braum just laughed and slapped Kai hard on the shoulder, who then rubbed the area.
"No one knows, Kai. Women are like magic. Mysterious and unpredictable."
"Magic?" Kai scoffed. "Everyone knows there's no such thing as magic, Braum."
Kai sniffed the air. "Have you been drinking again?"
Braum gave Kai a wide grin and bid him farewell.
Maybe when all this is over, he would ask Harry to show Kai some magic.
Braum roared with laughter as he pictured Kai's face.
Harry ran towards the guard and grimaced when he realized the guard had fallen asleep.
He playfully looked over at the guard. Harry placed the plate and cake on the window ledge and looked around. Nobody was in sight.
He picked up one of the pastries he had brought with him and placed it in the guard's open hand.
He then started tickling the side of the guard's face and it didn't take long for it to happen.
Smack!
The pastry was against his face and the filling was slowly running down his face. Harry turned when he heard laughter. Elsa stood in the library doors, tears in her eyes from laughing.
Harry really liked seeing her laugh. Not even the guard was mad when he heard her laugh.
"I guess I deserved it," the guard murmured.
Harry just hit the man on the back. "Clean everything up and I'll take your job for the rest of the day."
"Thank you, Harry," the guard smiled. "Princess Elsa," the guard bowed to Elsa, who was still trying to calm herself.
"I'm trying to concentrate, Harry!" Elsa scolded, but her eyes widened when she saw the piece of cake.
"Come in quick!"
Harry just laughed and followed her to her place in the library where some books and papers were scattered.
Elsa went about the piece of strawberry cake while Harry cleaned up the table.
"Hmm, almost as good as your chocolate cake. You can do better than that," Elsa said.
Harry arched an eyebrow. "Then it is good that I did not make it."
Elsa ate another strawberry off her fork.
"Who made it then?" she asked with curiosity.
Harry sat down in a chair across from her.
"I was in town earlier and one of the residents gave me the piece. They're all really looking forward to tomorrow," Harry explained, taking a bite of one of the smaller pastries.
"Cherry? I wasn't expecting that," Harry murmured as he ate the first one.
Harry looked up when he heard Elsa put down her plate.
Her face was emotionless, but her eyes were a sea of emotion. He always had to concentrate not to lose himself in her blue eyes. They had a beautiful icy blue about them that reminded him of the black lake when it was frozen in winter.
"Elsa?" Harry asked, but she didn't move.
He leaned forward and gently touched her hand. She felt freezing cold. Elsa flinched from his hand.
"Don't touch me! Leave me alone!" Elsa suddenly shouted.
Harry withdrew his hand from her. "I won't touch you, I promise, but can you answer me please?" Harry asked.
She met his eyes for a moment and Harry could see the pain in her eyes. With another blink of an eye, it was gone, and she turned away from him.
"I thought we had become friends," Harry said.
"We're not friends, Harry," Elsa answered.
"You're just a guard and I'll be crowned queen tomorrow."
Harry rolled his eyes, which angered Elsa even more. "I've been here for two months, Elsa. If I were just a simple guard to you, you wouldn't have allowed me to call you by your name." Harry crossed his arms.
"Maybe it was a mistake," Elsa countered.
That stung.
"I don't think Arendelle will need a queen tomorrow who behaves as childishly as you do," Harry remarked, and watched in amusement as Elsa stood up, her face angry. A cold breeze blew through the room.
Elsa was about to say something, but at the last moment she took a deep breath and slumped back in her chair.
Worried, Harry knelt down in front of her but kept his distance.
"What's the matter, Elsa?" he asked in a quiet voice.
But she just shook her head.
"Even if you don't see me as a friend, I see you as a good friend and I want to help you. But I can only do that if you talk to me," Harry said in a soft voice.
Elsa looked into his eyes. It seemed like forever before she finally said, "I'm afraid."
It was like a waterfall had broken; the words came out of her so quickly.
"I'm afraid of tomorrow. Who says I'm ready to be Queen? Arendelle needs someone who is open to all people and offers wise advice." She held her hands in front of her face. "They don't need a monster like me."
Harry was taken aback. Was that really how Elsa saw herself?
"You are not a monster, Elsa."
She glared at him. "What do you even know about me?"
Harry shrugged his shoulders. "I never told you about my family I grew up in, did I?"
Elsa shook her head. Her beautiful blonde hair fell loose on her braid and her strands framed her face.
"No, you didn't," Elsa acknowledged with a whisper.
"My parents were killed when I was one year old." Harry ignored her gasp and looked ahead. "A friend of my family then took me to my aunt. To put it bluntly, it wasn't a good time. I started cooking for my family when I was four, while only getting one slice of bread."
Elsa was shocked. Who would do that to a child? "Is that why you're so good at baking?" Her eyes widened in horror as she realized something. "And I made you bake something for me!"
Harry smiled weakly. "Not entirely correct. I didn't learn how to bake until I left my relatives... They didn't want a mess in the kitchen, so I wasn't allowed to make a cake." Harry took a strawberry from Elsa's plate and popped it in his mouth.
"And no, you didn't force me to do anything. I wanted to make you and Anna happy, which I hope I've succeeded in doing so far."
Elsa blushed slightly and just nodded silently.
Harry gave her a grin. "I'm glad. Would you say I'm a monster?"
Elsa was surprised by the question. What was Harry getting at?
"No... You're kind and you've become a good friend to me. Even if you annoy me at times," Elsa confessed with a soft smile.
Harry was relieved to hear that he wasn't the only one who saw her as a good friend.
"I thought my name was freak until I was five."
"What?!" Elsa raged.
"You heard me right. My own relatives called me a freak. It just happened by chance that I learned my name was Harry."
Elsa's face was pale. Harry was so friendly to everyone that it seemed inconceivable to her that he had been raised like this.
"Why are you telling me this?" she whispered while looking at him.
"Because I know how it feels when you are all alone. You are and will never be alone. You have your sister, Gerda, Kai, Braum and finally me. We will never leave you alone, Elsa and allow even less to call yourself a monster. You are a beautiful person, Elsa. Always remember that."
A sudden bright light appeared before his eyes. He was surprised to feel her head resting on his shoulder. "Thank you, Harry." Elsa whispered, as if a weight had fallen from her shoulders.
She closed her eyes, finally feeling safe for once in a long time.
"Princess Anna!" Kai's voice echoed through her room.
Anna woke up with a start. If you could call that waking up. Her hair was a mess, and her drool was slowly running down her cheek.
"Yeah?" Anna asked while trying desperately to wake up.
"Sorry to wake you up, ma'am."
"No, you didn't. I've been up for hours!" She yawned loudly.
"I'm glad to hear that. You should get ready. The gates will be open soon."
Anna wiped the sleep from her eyes.
"The gates?"
"Yes, ma'am. Today is your sister's coronation."
Anna was instantly wide awake.
"Elsa's coronation is today!" Anna called and started jumping around on her bed. "The gates are finally opening!" She collapsed backwards on her bed.
She's been dreaming of this day for months! The time of loneliness was finally over! Anna would meet new people, try new foods, and maybe dance with handsome princes!
She giggled and kicked her feet in the air like a little girl.
She stifled a gasp when she saw her hair in the mirror. "Oh, this is going to take forever!" She pouted and grabbed her comb. In no time she was done and hurried outside, where she met Gerda.
"Princess!" Gerda scolded when Anna raced past her.
"Sorry!" called Anna. She ran past the library but stopped when she saw something out of the ordinary.
She couldn't believe her eyes. There, her sister and Harry were sitting next to each other and apparently sleeping on top of each other!
Anna ignored the momentary pain she felt as she thought back to how long it had been since she and Elsa did something like this.
Elsa leaned against Harry and rested her head on Harry's chest. Anna had to suppress a sigh when she saw how tightly Elsa had snuggled up to Harry.
"Princess Elsa? Where are you?" Braum's loud voice broke the silence.
Anna watched, when Elsa woke up first.
"Good morning, Elsa. Did you sleep well?" Anna asked with a playful grin.
Elsa nodded absently and stretched her arms above her head, finally realizing where she was. She startled and jumped to the other end of the couch.
A moment later Braum came in and was relieved to find Elsa. "I've been looking for you everywhere, Princess Elsa," Braum said.
All the noise woke Harry up. He groaned as he realized his joints were sore from sleeping.
"Huh, that hurts," Harry said, getting up to stretch his limbs. He blinked when he saw everyone staring at him.
Braum had his typical grumpy face on, Anna was giggling while Elsa... Her face turned completely red.
Harry looked her in the face and Elsa yelped and swept out of the room so quickly no one could even say anything.
He blinked. Did Elsa just yelp?
Harry didn't think he'd ever heard her make a noise like that before.
Even Braum snorted in amusement.
"I-I'm going," Anna said, while she pointed to the door.
Braum followed after her while Harry just sat there, wondering what had just happened.
Oh no! What was wrong with her?
She couldn't believe what she was doing! She'd rested on Harry and even snuggled up to him and then managed to fall asleep on top of him!
Elsa groaned and held her head in her hands. She had spent years hiding her curse from everyone and now she did stupid things like that!
Risking Harrys life on top of that, she knew better than that.
She had no idea how she would ever look Harry in the eyes again. Elsa was sprawled out on her bed and had closed her eyes.
"He was really warm," Elsa mumbled. A small smile growing on her face.
She didn't notice how the ice spreading from her was slowly melting.
"Is everything ok?" Harry asked.
Braum slowly nodded his head. They stood in the shadows of the people preparing for Elsa's coronation.
"Were you able to track down the people?" Braum asked.
Harry was shaking his head. "No, unfortunately not." Through the runes he placed around Arendelle, he was able to identify two people who had come to Arendelle with bad intentions.
"Please sit down everyone. The coronation for the future Queen will now start," Kai called, who had just stepped inside the church. When Harry saw Elsa, he momentarily lost his brain activity. She really looked beautiful.
Kai stepped aside to allow Elsa to move forward.
Harry raised an eyebrow when he noticed that Anna seemed rather fascinated at a young man with brown hair.
He shifted his focus to Elsa and frowned at her when she had to remove her gloves. It was unlike her how insecure she seemed, and she even began to tremble slightly.
He couldn't fathom why that was and hoped there would be an opportunity to ask her at a later time.
After the ceremony, Kai and the other servants began leading the guests into the ballroom. While the guests were enjoying themselves, Harry helped Gerda set up a large chocolate cake at the buffet at the request of the future queen.
"Thank you, Harry," Gerda said, wiping the sweat from her forehead with a sleeve.
Kai chuckled next to her. "Come on, dear. There are still things to do." Gerda gave Harry another smile and began ordering two more servants around. Kai, on the other hand, positioned himself at the end of the room and introduced the guests who had attended Elsa's coronation.
"The Duke of Weselton. Hans Westergaard, prince of the Southern Isles," Kai announced.
The duke scowled and whispered something in the ears of his two servants. Hans was the young man Anna had looked at during the ceremony. Harry promised himself that he wouldn't take his eyes off the two of them.
The two entered the room, while Hans began to mingle, the duke quickly approached Elsa.
Harry had to stifle his laughter as the duke dragged Anna away and began dancing around her.
Elsa flashed him one of her rare smiles.
"Elsa, my congratulations," Harry said with a deep bow.
"Thank you, Harry. Everything seems fine, doesn't it?"
Harry followed her gaze and watched in amusement as Anna was mistreated by the duke.
"Is that meant to be dancing?" Harry asked amused.
A smirk appeared on Harry's face as he heard Elsa trying to hide a snort behind a cough.
"Harry, you shouldn't make fun of the duke," Elsa said in a stern tone. She held her face for exactly three seconds and together they burst out laughing.
After a few moments, Anna joined them.
"Are you alright?" Elsa asked.
"I've never been better," Anna said exhausted. "I wish we always had this much fun."
"That would be nice," Elsa replied with soft eyes.
But for some reason Elsa turned her back on them. "But it can't."
"Why not?" Anna asked confused. Harry could see Anna getting sad as Elsa pulled away from her hand.
"Anna, it just can't!" Elsa finished with a deep sigh.
Harry watched with sad eyes as Anna walked quickly away and disappeared into the crowd.
"Why would you do that?" Harry asked carefully.
"It's none of your business, Harry," Elsa answered coldly.
Harry just stopped himself from rolling his eyes.
"She did not deserve that."
"It's none of your business, Harry!" Elsa was now glaring at him. Harry was about to say something, when Braum appeared next to them.
He eyed them both worriedly. "Harry, come with me please. I need to tell you something." Braum bowed before Elsa and went outside, quickly followed by Harry.
None one of them saw the despair in Elsa's eyes.
"We would like- "They looked at each other and started to chuckle.
"We would like your blessing of our marriage!"
Elsa blinked. What?
"Marriage?" Elsa frowned.
"Yes!" Anna beamed at Elsa.
"I'm sorry. I'm confused," Elsa said in a dry tone.
Anna exchanged a lovely look with Hans. "Well, we haven't worked out all the details ourselves. We'll need a few days to plan the ceremony. Of course, we'll have soup, roast and ice cream and then- Wait. Would we live here?"
"H-Here?" Elsa stammered out.
"Absolutely!" Hans finally joined into the conversation.
"Anna- "Elsa tried to reason with Anna, but she was not having any of it. If Elsa didn't know better, someone had given her a love potion. But they didn't exist, right?
Suddenly, Anna's eyes lit up brightly, as if she'd gotten a great idea. "Oh, I know! We can invite all twelve of your brothers to stay with us- "
"What? No, no, no, no." Elsa was horrified. This was getting out of control! How naive could Anna be?
"Of course, we have the room. I don't know. Some of them must- "Anna started to ramble but was finally interrupted by Elsa.
"Wait. Slow down. No one's brothers are staying here. No one is getting married," Elsa had finally enough.
"Wait- what?" Shock was written all over Anna's face. She could not believe what Elsa was saying.
"May I talk to you please?" Elsa asked with a strained voice and added with a pointed look. "Alone."
Anna furrowed her eyebrows and was determined to argue with Elsa. She wouldn't let her sister scatter her dream.
She hooked arms with Hans, her future husband. "No, whatever you have to say, you- you can say to both of us."
Elsa hid her emotions behind a mask of coldness. "Fine. You can't marry a man, you just met."
Anna narrowed her eyes at her sister. "You can if it's true love!"
Just then Harry entered the ballroom with Braum. Anna saw the frown on his face when he saw them standing together. The guests were slowly realizing, something was happening and stopped dancing around them.
"Anna, what do you know about true love?"
"More than you," retorted Anna. "All you know is how to shut people out!"
Everything in Elsa wanted to scream. That Anna was wrong. That she cared for people. That she did care for her… for him.
"Conceal…Don't feel," she whispered. Echoing the words her father had told her all those years ago.
She steadied herself and looked upon her sister. The one she had promised herself to protect.
A chill wind enveloped Elsa as she said, "You asked for my blessing, but my answer is no. Now, excuse me."
She walked past them just as Hans tried to approach her.
"Your Majesty if I may ease you- "
Elsa stopped and turned her head towards her sister. "No, you may not. And I-I think you should go." Elsa kept on walking as she passed a guard, she gave him an order, "The Party is over. Close the gates."
The guard bowed and quickly walked off.
"What?" Anna's eyes widened when she heard her sister order the gates to be closed again.
"Elsa, no. No, wait!" She grabbed Elsa's hand and accidentally pulled off her glove. Elsa gasped and whirled around, reaching for the glove in dismay.
"Give me my glove!" Elsa called out.
Anna held the glove close to her chest. "Elsa, please! Please, I can't live like this anymore," Anna exclaimed in a desperate voice.
Elsa held back the tears that were threatening to leak out. She could not reason with Anna anymore. She was so tired of everything.
"Then leave," She whispered faintly. She saw the hurt in Anna's face and turned away. This was too much.
"What did I ever do to you?!" Anna shouted at her. Now each guest watched as the event unfolded.
"You've got Harry! Why am I doomed to be alone forever!" Anna yelled at her sister.
She wiped with her sleeve the tears away, that started streaming down on her face.
Elsa stopped in her movement when she heard Harry's name. "Yes, I saw you and him! All snuggled up together! Why can you have someone like Harry, and I not?" She shouted, desperate to make her understand.
"Why? Why do you shut me out? Why do you shut the world out? What are you afraid of?!" Anna screamed.
"I said ENOUGH!" Elsa screamed and whirled around. A wave of ice froze the ground in front of her.
Elsa ignored the gasps of the crowd. She had only eyes for one person, who stood still, with wide eyes, among the guests.
"Sorcery!" Hissed the duke of Weselton.
Elsa couldn't control it anymore because she was afraid. Fear her powers could hurt someone. She did the only thing she could think of and ran away.
"Are you okay?" Hans asked Anna in a worried voice.
"No," Anna answered curtly.
"Did you know about... you know?" Hans asked in a cautious voice. He had no intention of upsetting the princess.
"That Elsa possesses magical powers?" Anna snarled back. She took a deep breath to calm herself. "Sorry... No, I didn't know about it."
Anna held her hand in front of her face. "All these years... and I didn't know anything."
"She's a monster! We have to stop her!" cried out the Duke of Weselton. He addressed his followers. "Follow her! Put an end to this curse!"
Before Anna could intervene, someone hit the duke over the head, who fell limp to the ground like a sack filled with potatoes. In front of them stood Harry.
Harry tried to move through the crowd but there were so many guests in front of him blocking his way.
"Could I please come through here? Nice hat!"
"A lovely wife you have. Excuse me please!"
"I have to go through here! Nice earrings by the way!"
What felt like an eternity passed before Harry finally passed the guests when suddenly an older, chubby woman stood in front of him and blocked his way.
"You're a cute one! Why are you in such a hurry?" she asked with a hungry look. Harry swallowed deeply and tried to sneak past her, but she had another idea.
She grabbed his hands and spun him around, so they were locked in a tango position. Her face kept getting closer to his.
"Would you mind letting go of me?" Harry asked, a little fear in his voice.
The old woman pouted her mouth, her teeth slipping out of her mouth for a moment. "Don't worry darling. Nobody will miss you!" Her hands released his arms, and her arms began to slide down his body.
But Harry was faster and spun around and grabbed the nearest man and traded places with him. "Hey!" The lady behind him yelled, but Harry rushed forward when he suddenly heard Elsa scream.
"I said ENOUGH!"
Just as he emerged from the crowd, he saw Anna with a young man standing opposite Elsa. The crowd gasped, startled to see Elsa freeze part of the ground with a wave of her hand.
Elsa couldn't be a witch... It just wasn't possible.
Harry stared straight ahead, looking but not really seeing. He couldn't believe that Elsa possessed magical powers.
He took a step forward when he suddenly felt pain erupt on the side of his head and everything went black.
Harry woke up with a groan and gratefully accepted the ice pack from Braum.
"Ouch... What happened?" Harry asked as he straightened up.
"You were only unconscious for a few seconds. A lovely elderly lady just hit you on the head with her bag."
Harry rubbed the place on his head, where he could feel the pain coming from. "Why?"
Braum shrugged. "I would never claim to understand women."
Harry nodded and advanced with hasty steps. On the way he put the ice pack on one of the free tables in the hall.
"Did you know about it?" Harry asked with an unusual calm tone.
Braum, sensing the danger, answered quickly. "As far as I know, nobody knew that Elsa possessed these... powers. Neither Kai nor I." He scratched his chin and added. "I doubt even Princess Anna knew about it. She's not very good at keeping a secret."
"That's right," Harry muttered. They ran outside and Harry pinched his arms to realize he wasn't dreaming.
A few hours ago, the summer sun was still shining over Arendelle, but in its place there was now a black and gray sky and to make matters worse it was snowing. Everywhere he looked, Harry saw ice. Not only the water in the well, but even the whole sea was frozen.
"Wow," Harry exhaled. He couldn't put it into words any other way.
Beside him, Harry heard the word "Monster!" and Harry saw red. The word reminded him too much of his own childhood, where he was constantly being called a freak by the Dursleys.
He rushed over to the duke and tapped him on the shoulder.
"Who dares-?" The duke started but didn't get to finish his sentence when Harry punched him across the nose and he fell to the floor, unconscious.
Harry rubbed his fist in pain. "That was worth it."
"Harry!" Anna cried indignantly. "You shouldn't have done that!"
Harry glanced over at her and shrugged. "I have more troubles than an old duke, who thinks he can insult the Queen like that."
"You can be hanged for this," Anna said worriedly, but Braum cut her off.
"Harry, I'll see that the duke gets a room. But please, don't knock out any more guests. We've got enough problems without political ones."
"Fine," Harry said. "I just overheard him bothering Elsa all night and what he just said...let's just say it reminded me of something."
Braum nodded slowly and walked over to two other servants. The servants seized the duke's arms and legs and took him to a room. "If you see his guards, sent them up to his room...tell them he fell down the stairs or something."
The servants quickly took to work and disappeared with the duke beyond the crowd of people that were standing outside.
"Is that how Arendelle rules? A simple servant may knock out a duke from another country and it's covered up?" Hans asked angrily.
"What? No!" Anna replied indignantly. She couldn't believe what was happening around her.
"And you are?" Harry asked with a raised eyebrow.
"His name is Hans, Hans Westergaard. Prince of the Southern Isles," Anna introduced.
She turned towards Harry. "You will have to be punished for this, Harry. Braum, please take Harry to the dungeons." Anna demanded of Braum, but to her surprise Braum refused her request.
"I'm sorry, Princess. But I won't do that."
Anna looked shocked at Braum. She couldn't remember Braum ever denying her anything. Not even as a small child, when he was supposed to be keeping something from her father.
"Could we maybe focus on Elsa?" Harry asked annoyed.
Anna's eyes widened at the reminder. "Elsa! I have to go after her!" She was about to start moving, but Hans held her back.
"What are you up to?" Hans asked Anna.
"It's my fault. I put so much pressure on Elsa, so I'm the one who's going to find her too!" Anna explained.
"It's far too dangerous, Anna!"
Harry narrowed his eyes at them. What was going on between the two?
"Elsa is not dangerous, she is my sister. Bring me my horse!"
Just then Kai came with her horse and a coat for Anna, which she gratefully accepted.
"I'm coming with you!" Hans tried desperately, but Anna shook her head.
"No, you have to stay here. You have to take care of Arendelle."
Harry blinked. Did she really just hand over complete responsibility to a mere stranger?
Luckily, Braum got involved. "Princess, I can't in good conscience let you ride off alone." He looked into the distance, where otherwise the mountains could be seen, only darkness could be seen.
"You need to bring someone with you," Braum instructed, glancing over at Harry.
"No! I have to do this alone," Anna said, riding her horse through the gates and they watched the darkness engulf their form.
"Great," Harry murmured. "Do we have another horse?" Harry asked Braum, who shook his head in denial. "It would take too long. Except for the princess's horse, the rest of the horses have been settled on the outskirts of town for the celebrations."
"Fine. I will go after them. Take care of everything, Braum."
Harry closed his eyes and walked around Hans, who remained frozen in place, staring after the princess.
A few minutes passed before Harry finally stopped and bent down. He picked up a handful of snow from the ground and dropped it from his hand.
"Teddy would be really happy to see this," Harry said with a smile. He stretched once more and called for his magic. His arms and legs became shorter, his body shriveled, and white fur grew on his skin. In one fluid motion, he strode forward on all fours, following the hoofprints in the snow.
Anna held the reins with ice-cold fingers. It was simply unbelievable what she experienced that day. On the one hand, she accidentally found her future husband, on the other hand, she found out that her older sister had a big secret.
She had magical powers! Anna shook her head, still amazed that Elsa had turned all of Arendelle into a winter wonderland.
It was just like a fairy tale...
She was riding her horse in the direction Elsa had gone when suddenly a branch bent under the weight of the heavy snow. The horse bent over in panic and Anna fell off the horse.
She was glad the ground was full of soft snow, which cushioned the landing as if she had jumped in a giant heap of feathers.
Her horse ran away in a panic and no matter what she called after it, it didn't turn around.
Anna had a rare scowl on her face as she scrambled up from the snow. She looked down at herself and quickly noticed one thing.
"These clothes are not made for winter," Anna muttered with a frown. She sighed deeply and looked forward, determined to find her sister and to bring her back.
Hours passed and night fell as she stood on a small hill. All hope seemed lost when she saw a trail of smoke over the trees. She rushed forward, too hurriedly, and slid down the steep mountain into a small flowing stream full of ice-cold water.
Anna jumped out of the water when someone tapped her on the shoulder. She turned and took Harry's hand.
"Harry! What are you doing here?" Anna asked surprised, with a trembling voice.
"Anna," Harry sighed. "You really need to work on your priorities. If you're not careful, you'll freeze to death out here."
Anna bowed her head, knowing that Harry was right.
"That's just the way I am. I run forward and seek the face of adventure," Anna said as Harry helped her up the stairs to the cottage.
Harry said something unintelligible. All she understood was words like "Gryffindor," and "sorting hat." Though she had no idea what he meant by that.
Even the sign was too snowy, and Anna had to smack it lightly with a fist for you to read it.
"Wandering Oaken's trading post," Harry read out.
"And Sauna," Anna added longingly.
Harry raised an eyebrow. "So…would you like to enter the sauna or try to find Elsa?"
Anna spluttered and glared at him. "I will find Elsa and bring her back!" With that, she pushed the door open, and they were quickly welcomed by a small man with a small hat.
"Yoo-Hoo. My name is Oaken! Big summer blowout!" The man greeted them. "Half of for swimming suits, clogs, and a sun balm of my own invention, yah?"
The man placed a bottle in front of them and looked at them with an eager face.
"Uhm, that is…great," Anna replied as Harry tried to hide a snort behind a cough.
She glared at Harry, who held his hand up in defense and then faced the clerk.
"Do you have some winter boots and dresses?" She asked hopefully. She was determined to find Elsa, even in the dress she currently wore. She glanced at Harrys warm cloak.
Or she might just ask Harry to swap clothes.
"That would be in our winter department," Oaken gestured to the side. They followed his gesture and Harry frowned at the lack of choices.
"Thank you," Anna sighed disappointed.
"Did you perhaps see a young woman pass by?" Harry asked the clerk, while Anna changed into the warm clothes.
"Was it a beautiful woman in a royal cloak?"
Harry nodded eagerly in response. Anna had an amused smile on her face when she noticed Harrys dreamy face.
"Did she have white-blonde hair that shines like snow in the moonlight?"
"Exactly! Have you seen her?" Harry asked hopefully.
"No, I did not." Anna and Harry groaned in response.
"The only one crazy enough to be in this storm were you two," Oaken added with a small frown.
The doorbell rang and a man covered from head to toe in snow entered.
"You two and that fellow. Yoo-Hoo," Oaken greeted the man with a bright and friendly smile.
Harry shook his head in amusement. His greetings were certainly strange.
The snow-covered man stepped forward to the counter where Anna was standing.
Harry had his wand ready just in case, but it was for no reason as the man only wanted one thing.
"Carrots."
Anna was perplexed. "Huh?"
Harry stifled a laugh when he saw Anna's face.
The man leaned forward. "Behind you."
"Oh! Right. Sorry," Anna stammered and quickly stepped aside. He grabbed a bunch of carrots and tossed them on the counter.
"Heavy storm, isn't it? Where did that come from? It's only July," Oaken babbled on.
"From the North Mountain," the newcomer answered, as he gathered other tools.
Anna seemed to recognize the name as she put on a determined face.
"That will be 40," Oaken said as he counted the supplies.
"Forty? No, ten."
The salesman looked guilty and shook his head. "Oh, dear, that's no good. See, this is from our winter stock, where supply and demand have a big problem."
"You want to talk about a supply and demand problem? I sell ice for a living," he gestured outside the window.
"Ooh. That's a rough business to be in right now," Anna chuckled.
The man glared at her.
"I mean, that's really- unfortunate," Anna finished in a low voice.
"Ten is all I got. Help me out here," the man seemed rather stressed.
"Have you been to North Mountain?" Harry interrupted and the man nodded silently at him.
"What happened up there?" Anna asked. "Anything magical?"
Harry rolled his eyes. She couldn't be more obvious.
The man pulled his snow-covered scarf from his face and answered in an annoyed voice. "Yes, and now leave me alone." He turned back towards Oaken. "I still have to talk to this crook here," the man seethed.
Harry blinked as the 'little' salesman stood up.
"What did you just call me?"
Harry had to look up to see Oaken's face. The man towered a few heads above him similar to Hagrid. He grabbed the snowy man with one arm and kicked him out of his shop.
"Bye-Bye!"
Oaken came back looking angry. Anna and Harry avoided his steps and the tall man sat down with a loud sigh.
"The clothes are 30," Oaken said.
Anna blinked; she had no money with her. She looked at Harry and batted her eyelashes.
"Please, Harry. If you help me, I'll help you with Elsa too!"
"W-What?!" Harry turned towards her with a red face. "Fine."
He turned to Oaken and gave him the money. "I'll take the guy's stuff, too," Harry said. "And I do not like her that way," Harry added with a look on his face.
"Sure, Harry," she smiled at him. "I never mentioned you liking Elsa."
Harry looked after her dumbfounded.
Anna grabbed the sack of supplies while Harry grabbed the carrots.
"Where do you think he's gone?" Anna asked, eyes narrowing as she tried to see through the night.
"We could follow in his footsteps," Harry suggested. The footprints were deep in the snow, and they had no trouble following them to a small hut.
Kristoff was having a really bad day. It had started so well! But then came this lousy snowstorm in the summer! And everything went down the drain. First this woman got on his nerves and then he was thrown in the snow.
Kristoff sighed and was startled when the door suddenly opened.
Have the owners of the cabin returned? Luckily for him, it was only the two from the store.
"What do you want?"
"I'm Anna and this is Harry. I want you to take me to the North Mountain."
"I don't take people places," Kristoff declared. Her red hair was gorgeous, Kristoff mused to himself.
He lays back down and closes his eyes.
"Let me rephrase that," Anna announced, and a sack of supplies landed in Kristoff's lap.
"Take me to the North Mountain," Anna's expression softened. "Please. It is really important to me."
Sven, the reindeer, huffed at him and he lied down, pulling his hat over his eyes.
"We leave at dawn… And you forgot the carrots for Sven."
A bag of carrots hit Kristoff in the face.
"Ow!" Kristoff groaned.
"Harry!" Anna snapped, while Harry tried to not laugh at Kristoff's misfortune.
"What?" They both glared at him. "I wanted to do that as well," he argued with her.
"I guess I deserved that," Sven mumbled.
Harry nodded with a friendly smile. "You did. Can we leave now?"
Harry smiled as the wind passed his face. Sven was pulling the sled at top speed up a narrow cliff. Kristoff was manned the reigns while Anna and Harry sat next to him.
"Hang on! We like to go fast!" Kristoff yelled to them.
"I like fast!" Anna responded without any fear and put her feet up the dashboard.
"Anna, get your feet down!" Harry and Kristoff exclaimed together and even went so far as to push her feet down.
"This is fresh lacquer. Seriously, were you raised in a barn?" Kristoff chuckled at his own joke.
"No, she was raised in a castle," Harry answered with a snort.
Anna glared at Harry. Kristoff spit on the dash to clean it. Unfortunately, for Anna at least, they drove so fast that the wind spat the spit straight in her face.
"Ewe," Anna cried out. She grabbed part of Harry's mantle and wiped it off her face.
"Hey!"
"Sorry," Kristoff apologized.
Silence followed, and only the cold wind rushed past her eyes. In between, they could see some animals desperately looking for a shelter.
"So," Kristoff started. "What made the Queen go all ice-freaky?"
Harry clenched a fist. Anna noticed this and quickly began to tell her story. It wouldn't be good if Kristoff and Harry started banging each other's heads.
"Well, it was all my fault...I think. I got engaged, but then she freaked out because I'd only just met him, you know, that day. And she said she wouldn't bless the marriage-"
"Wait- That happened?" Harry asked confused. "You got engaged to that idiot?" Everything finally made sense.
"Hans isn't an idiot," Anna tried to defend her fiancé, but Harry just rolled his eyes.
"If he's not an idiot, he's either using you," Harry decided and continued. "Or you're the idiot, Anna."
Shock was written all over Anna's face. Harry had never spoken to her like that before. Let alone anyone in the palace.
"Anyway," Anna gulped. "I got mad and so she got mad and then she tried to walk away, and I grabbed her glove-"
"Hang on." Kristoff slowed the sled to a halt. "You mean to tell me you got engaged to someone you just met?" He asked her. He exchanged a look with Harry.
"Did you not warn her about strangers?"
Harry snorted when Anna eyed Kristoff up and down. Only to slide away from him.
"I joined the castle guard only a few months ago," Harry explained in his defense.
Kristoff nodded and Sven slowly started to move forward.
"My parents told me," Anna interrupted the two men with a fierce glare. "But Hans is not a stranger."
"Oh yeah? What's his last name?" Kristoff probed.
"Of the Southern Isles," Anna replied pompously.
"Favorite Food?"
"Sandwiches."
"Eye color?"
"Dreamy."
"Foot size?"
Harry blinked. "I think you guys can stop fighting like an old married couple," Harry muttered in a dry voice.
Anna crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Look it doesn't matter; it's true love."
Kristoff scoffed. "Doesn't sound like true love."
"Are you some love expert?" Anna asked annoyed.
"No," Kristoff answered truthfully.
"Do you trust him?" Harry asked suddenly.
"Huh?" Anna turned to him.
"Do you trust him," Harry repeated. "I don't want to talk you out of it, Anna. I have a good friend who met someone, and they got married within a year."
Anna's eyes glittered in the darkness.
"Same as us then!"
Harry shook his head. "You don't understand. There was a war where I come from. A lot of people were killed and the two found comfort in each other in that time."
"What does that have to do with me?" Anna asked in a cautious voice. To this day she didn't know where Harry came from, so she couldn't imagine him in a war. Kristoff stayed silent and listened to Harry. He wanted to know what Harry was going to tell her.
"I'll get to that now," Harry sighed. "Their names are Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour. Bill was something of an archaeologist. He was looking for danger and adventures, while Fleur was a few years younger than him. She was the best of her year and had so much she wanted to do."
"Due to the war, the two rushed into marriage, even though they had completely different ideas about each other," Harry explained.
"What do you mean? What did they want?" asked Anna confused.
"Bill wanted a housewife. Someone he could come home to and feel comfortable with, while Fleur wanted to learn and see the world. She's a fiery person who wouldn't feel comfortable in one place."
"Oh...What happened then?"
"The war passed...and the two started fighting. Months of fighting eventually led to them breaking up. They had never fully articulated what the other wanted."
"But… they loved each other, didn't they?" Anna asked confused. "Why would they split up over simple fighting?"
"Because no one wanted to change who they were. Fleur wasn't going to give up on her dreams to become Bill's wife and Bill wasn't going to drop his job for her."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because, if you really love Hans, you need to speak with him about your goals. Don't rush into it. Especially since you have a responsibility for Arendelle. You and Elsa cannot marry just anyone," Harry finished with a shrug.
Anna thought long and hard about what Harry had said to her. She thought about Hans and what she knew about him. She was surprised that she could count everything she knew about him on one hand.
Was it really love?
When she thought back to her parents, who always had a smile as soon as they looked at each other. It was obvious to everyone that the Queen and king were in love with each other.
But had she and Hans progressed that far already?
Anna shook her head absently. No, they definitely weren't.
Sure, she found Hans attractive and might consider marrying him, but she'd have to spend more time to be sure. She glanced over at Harry, who was sleeping quietly. She wanted to have what Elsa and Harry have.
Was she jealous?
No.
After all the years she was alone, it was her sister who found her prince first. She was sure of that.
Fine, she might be a tiny bit jealous.
Harry was amazing after all. He was handsome, had an air of leadership and didn't shy away from saving people. He was the full package!
She was happy for her sister, even if she would have to convince both of them of it. If nothing else, she would put them together inside a room and throw the key away, until they cleared the air between them.
After all, she was a good judge of people, and she immediately knew that the two were attracted to each other.
She was snapped out of her thoughts when suddenly the sled with Sven stopped. Harry threw it forward and almost fell off if Anna didn't grab him at the last moment.
"Thanks," Harry coughed, looking around. They were surrounded by snow-covered trees, and they could see nothing but the blackness of the night that swallowed even the snow.
"Why did we stop?" Anna asked confused.
"Stop talking," Kristoff ordered.
"What is going on? Tell me-" Kristoff clamped his hand over Anna's mouth, which silenced her.
"I mean it. Shh!"
Kristoff stood there with his lantern, lighting up the darkness. He sensed something behind him, and they saw the lantern light reflecting off eyes in the darkness... dozens of them.
"Sven, go. Go!" Kristoff called and the reindeer ran.
The monsters ran after them. In the darkness, Anna couldn't see what was chasing them.
"What are they?"
"Wolves," Harry whispered.
Kristoff grabbed a torch and lit it.
"What do we do now?" Anna asked nervously.
"I have this. You… just don't fall off and get eaten."
"But I want to help!" Anna screamed angrily.
"No," Kristoff said.
"Why not?" Anna asked in a heated voice.
"Because I don't trust your judgment," Kristoff explained.
"Excuse me?" Anna called. She wasn't useless. Braum had taught her the way with a sword. She knew how to fight!
She was about to continue arguing with Kristoff when a wolf jumped on her. The wolf grabbed Harry's arm and he fell off the sled.
"Harry!" Anna screamed.
"We have to turn around!" Anna shouted at Kristoff who was busy getting rid of a wolf. She grabbed his lute and struck the wolf square in the face.
"Thank you," Kristoff said, impressed.
Anna struck a pose. "Can we turn around now?"
Kristoff nodded quickly and tugged at Sven's reins as another wolf jumped onto their sled. This one had snow white hair and emerald, green eyes.
Anna was about to swing again when the wolf transformed into Harry.
"W-What? Harry?" Anna asked dumbfounded.
"That was close," Harry said, looking over at the two of them.
Both stared at him open-mouthed.
"Did you just transform into a wolf? That's so cool," Kristoff said with big eyes.
Harry grinned at him. "Yep, I'm an Animagus. That means I can transform into an animal, in my case a wolf. It was bloody hard to learn," Harry explained, just as Sven cried out.
They rode at a fast pace towards a chasm.
"Get ready to jump Sven!" Anna shouted.
"You don't tell him what to do!" Kristoff screamed back and Harry rolled his eyes. Kristoff tossed Anna onto Sven, while Harry cuts Sven with a quick spell from the sled.
"Jump Sven!" Kristoff shouted.
Sven jumps the chasm with Anna on his back and land safely on the side. Kristoff and Harry were flying behind them, still on the sled.
Due to the heavy weight of the two, the sled lost on height and Harry was sure that they would not make it.
"Give me your hand!" Harry screamed.
"What?" Kristoff called, but it was already too late. Kristoff jumped off the sled and waved his arms like a bird in the air, hoping to fly. Harry groaned in annoyance and jumped after him. He was able to grab Kristoff's leg and they both disappeared in a loud pop.
"What?!" Anna called. "Where did they go?!"
She and Sven searched the edge frantically when they heard another pop and a loud groan. Anna turned and saw Harry lying in the snow with Kristoff.
"We did it," Harry breathed out.
"You can use magic?" Kristoff asked.
Anna and Harry looked at him in surprise.
"You know about magic?" Harry asked.
Kristoff sat up and gratefully took Anna's hand.
"Not exactly," Kristoff said. "I grew up with trolls."
Anna nodded in agreement. "That makes sense," she said. There were some stories about the trolls in Arendelle.
"Trolls?" Harry asked worried. "Big, ugly trolls?"
"What no!" cried Kristoff. "Trolls are small and round and can curl up into rocks."
Harry raised an eyebrow in disbelief. "This are news to me. The trolls I know are... shall we say, anything but harmless."
"My friends wouldn't hurt anyone," Kristoff said firmly.
He sighed when he saw his wrecked sled.
"I'm sure it can be fixed," Harry said encouragingly. "That's no problem for me-" Harry had to stop when the sleigh suddenly burst into flames.
"It wasn't even paid off yet," Kristoff groaned.
Anna had a pretty guilty conscience. "I can understand if you don't want to show us the way anymore," she mumbled and started to run, but Kristoff grabbed her arm.
"Wait a minute. I didn't say anything about that." Anna looked straight into his eyes. They were a bit large, but they possessed a kindness that she could see in few people.
"I will continue to accompany you. It's too late now anyway," Kristoff explained and pointed towards his old sled.
"And you wouldn't get a new sled," Harry added dryly.
Kristoff nodded in embarrassment. "That's right," he admitted.
Harry laughed and slapped Kristoff on the back. "At least you're being honest," he said with a laugh and the two followed with Sven, Anna running ahead.
"You're coming with us?" Anna asked excitedly at first, but she quickly caught herself and answered in a lower pitch. "I mean, of course you're coming with us. I'll give you permission to tag along with us."
Harry and Kristoff exchanged an amused glance and followed Anna through the snow.
"So, you can use magic, Harry?" Anna asked curiously.
Harry nodded and picked up a handful of snow. He concentrated and blew over his hand. The snow swirled around like a small storm and finally revealed a small bird.
Anna and Kristoff watched in fascination as the bird looked around and eventually flew out of his hand and perched on a tree.
"Amazing," Anna exclaimed. Kristoff nodded in agreement. He had never seen anything like this.
"And before you ask what else I can do, let's find Elsa. Then I can calmly tell you all my story over a hot cocoa," Harry said.
Anna sighed theatrically. "You're right… Why didn't you tell us that before?"
Harry ran a hand through his windblown hair. "I promised Braum. Neither he nor I knew that Elsa had magical powers. If I had known…"
As they emerged from the dense trees, Anna saw something far below.
"Arendelle," Anna whispered.
"It's completely frozen," Kristoff said. Even from this height they could see the ice-covered roofs. The castle was completely covered with snow.
"But it will be okay. Elsa will undo it," Anna explained proudly.
"Will she?" Kristoff asked.
Anna was unsettled by the question. If she was honest with herself, she had no idea what Elsa would do. In the last few hours, everything in her life had turned upside down.
"I'm sure Elsa will do it," Anna said with renewed confidence.
Harry was sure that Elsa would be able to melt the ice, but he also knew how tricky magic could be and how difficult this task would be for her.
Together they passed under frozen willows. The drooping branches shone like tiny diamonds in the sunlight.
The view was breathtaking. Not even Hogwarts in winter could give you a view like this.
"I never thought winter could be so beautiful," Anna explained.
Harry smiled. "Then you haven't seen much." He could think of one or two even nicer things. And he certainly wasn't thinking of a specific Ice Queen.
Suddenly, a voice comes in from nowhere. "Yeah. It really is beautiful, isn't it? But it's so white. You know, how about a little color? Must we bleach the joy out of it all? I'm thinking like maybe some crimson, chartreuse…"
Meanwhile, Harry was looking around, searching for the source. Anna and Kristoff were looking rather strangely at Sven, as if they were preparing themselves, that at any moment, he would start talking.
Just then, a nose less snowman came out from behind them.
He stopped between Anna and Kristoff. They all looked down at him, when he suddenly looked up at Anna.
"Am I right? I'm Olaf."
Anna started screaming and out of reflex, kicked the snowman in the head, who introduced himself as Olaf. The head flew off his head and landed in Harry's arms.
"Hi," Olaf greeted him with a cheerful smile.
"Hello," Harry greeted him, gently patting Olaf's cheek at the dirt left by Anna's shoe.
"Thanks! Can you please not drop me?" Olaf asked.
Harry was overwhelmed. In front of him was a talking snowman who, by all appearances, had a mind of his own. Something he'd learned in Transfiguration wasn't possible.
And here he was, holding the head of a talking snowman.
Olaf's body ran towards Harry, swinging his arms around.
"Stop!" Olaf commanded and his body immediately stopped running. Harry took the opportunity and placed Olaf's head on his body.
Olaf smiled happily. "Thanks," he said, hugging Harry around the legs. To Harry, Olaf was very reminiscent of Dobby.
"You smell good," Olaf said and Kristoff had to suppress a snort.
"Um-thanks," Harry replied confused.
"Now I am perfect," Olaf declared to their amusement.
Anna looks over his innocent face and suddenly reached into Kristoff's satchel. She held up a carrot, just as Olaf turns to her.
Harry had to hide his laughter behind his hand, at the face Anna was making. Kristoff wasn't much better off. The carrot accidentally slammed all the way through Olaf's head.
"Woo! Head rush!" Olaf exclaimed.
"Oh," Anna gasped. "Too hard. I'm sorry! I-I, I was just… Are you okay?" She eventually settled on.
Olaf's eyes light up, when he saw a tiny bit of carrot sticking out between his eyes.
"Are you kidding me? I am wonderful! I've always wanted a nose," he raised his hands to touch the carrot.
"So cute. It's like a little baby unicorn."
Anna reached behind Olaf and forced the other end of the carrot forward.
"What? Hey! Woah," Olaf uttered as he saw his now big nose.
"Oh, I love this even more! Hah… All right let's start this thing over. Hi everyone. I'm Olaf. And I like warm hugs."
Olaf opens his arms wide to Anna, which triggered something on her face.
"Olaf?... That's right, Olaf," Anna murmured.
"Anna?" Harry asked.
"It's nothing Harry," Anna replied. "I just…remembered something."
"And… you are?" Olaf asked, as if he would have to remind Anna of her courtesies.
"Oh, um…I'm Anna."
Olaf nodded happily. "And who is the funky-looking donkey over there?"
"That's Sven."
"Uh-huh. And who is the reindeer?"
Harry couldn't help himself and started to laugh loudly. Even Anna had a smile on her face.
"That is Sven," she said after a few seconds.
"Oh. They are-oh, okay…," Olaf looked over to them. "Makes it easier for me."
He then looked towards Harry. "Who are you? Can I have a hug?"
Harry looked towards the eager snowman and shrugged his shoulders. "Sure. My name is Harry Potter."
Harry leaned down and Olaf quickly embraced him.
"I like your hug." Olaf broke away from the embrace and turned around.
"Olaf, did Elsa build you?" Anna asked.
"Yeah. Why?" Olaf answered.
"Do you know where she is?"
"Yeah. Why?"
"Do you think you could show us the way?"
"Yeah. Why?"
Kristoff started to bend one of Olaf's arms. "How does that even work?"
The arm Kristoff was holding, started to move and slapped Kristoff across the face.
"Stop it, Sven. Trying to focus here."
Olaf turned back to Anna. "Yeah. Why?"
"I'll tell you why. We need Elsa to bring back the summer," Kristoff responded.
"Summer?" Asked a shocked Olaf. "Oh, I don't know why but I've always loved the idea of summer, and sun, and all things hot," Olaf added wistfully.
"Really? I'm guessing you don't have much experience with heat," Kristoff said sarcastically.
"Nope."
Olaf quickly moved onward and grabbed Harry's hand. "So, come on! Elsa is this way. Let's go bring back summer!"
"You really are pushy, you know?" Harry said and Anna followed laughing.
"I'm going to tell him." But Kristoff quickly stepped back when he saw the angered glance from Anna.
"Don't. You. Dare."
The air was freezing cold. People ran around and helped where they could. People huddled around small fires. The concern of the people could be felt in the air.
Braum walked through the palace deep in thought. How had he not noticed? Why hadn't the king and queen confided in them?
It pained him to see the people suffer, but it hurt even more knowing that queen Elsa had to fend for herself with her powers all these years.
She had no one, and yet she remained strong. Till today.
Footsteps echoed the halls. Braum turned around and saw Hans marching towards him with some soldiers.
Before Braum could even draw his sword, two soldiers lunged forward, their swords pointed at him.
"What is this supposed to mean?" Braum asked in an unusually calm voice.
"You are arrested for aiding and abetting this curse," Hans explained with a malicious grin.
"Aid?"
"Of course. People are upset. Imagine how people reacted when I told them you were in cahoots with the queen."
Hans walked slowly to the window and turned his back on Braum.
"You won't get away with this," Braum promised. "Whatever you want in Arendelle, you won't get it."
Hans raised his hand to the soldiers, who immediately escorted Braum away.
Braum shouted, "The Queen will be back! Arendelle won't let a weakling like you get her down!"
When the soldiers took Braum to the dungeons, the duke moved quickly towards him.
"Prince Hans, are you sure this is the only way to save Arendelle?" The duke asked him.
Hans turned and gave the duke a friendly smile. Tall and confident, he stood before the small man.
"Exactly, it has to be," he whispered to himself.
"What was that?"
"Nothing," Hans answered quickly. "Arendelle will be saved. Princess Anna will take care of that. In the meantime, we can be sure that nobody will help this witch," Hans said with a low bow.
"I would appreciate your help. Your generosity is well known, Duke."
The duke seemed pleased at the praise.
At that moment, they heard a loud noise and quickly ran outside. A crowd formed and they saw Princess Anna's horse return.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa, boy. Easy. Easy."
Someone in the crowd shouted, "That's Princess Anna's horse. What happened to her? Where is she?"
Hans looked from the horse to the many faces of the people who looked at him hopefully.
"Princess Anna...is in trouble," he exclaimed. "I need volunteers to go with me to find her!"
It wasn't long before a line of Arendelle volunteers and guests from faraway lands stood in front of him. He nodded to the duke, who immediately whispered something to his own people.
Hans looked up at the mountains. It wouldn't be long before Arendelle would finally be his.
Harry stood with the others in front of the ice castle. It was amazing what magic could do. The air was still filled with magic.
Harry closed his eyes and felt his magic. It encircled the castle like a cloak of fine silk.
"I think I'm going to start crying," Kristoff said. "I've never seen such perfect ice."
Harry snorted. "The whole castle was built with magic. You won't find this ice anywhere else."
"I'll go in there now," Anna said firmly.
Anna started to climb the steps with Olaf. Sven tried to follow, but Kristoff held him back.
She hesitated at the doors and turned to them. "I should go alone."
"Why?" Olaf asked confused before Harry could comment.
"I have to do this alone. It's my fault that all this happened. If I hadn't pushed her, Elsa wouldn't have escaped," Anna said.
"Don't you think it would be good if I was there?" Harry asked. "After all, I'm someone who knows about magic." As if to remind them all, he pointed to the castle in front of them.
"And that calls for magic to me," Harry said slowly.
"He's right," Kristoff admitted.
But Anna shook her head. "She's my sister...give us a minute...please. Alone."
Harry looked into her eyes as if he were looking for something. He must have found it because he slumped his shoulders and sighed.
"All right. We're waiting for you out here. If anything happens, shout out loud and we'll be right there."
Anna nodded gratefully and knocked on the door. The sound reverberated through the castle and the doors of ice open.
She took a deep breath and went inside.
Harry hated waiting. It didn't help that Olaf and Kristoff were counting alongside him.
"You do know that she didn't mean the minute literally?" Harry asked sarcastically.
"45.46...What?!" Olaf called in surprise. "Then I'm going now!"
Harry blinked. "Wait, Olaf! That's not what I-" Olaf disappeared through the door, just as Harry was about to follow, it slammed shut. "-meant," Harry finished.
Anna entered a large entrance hall. Everywhere she looked she saw perfectly formed ice. It was stunning, but also spooky at the same time. How could a single person... your sister… even make something like that?
Anna shook her head. It wouldn't bode well to think of Elsa like that.
"Elsa?" Anna's voice echoed in the castle of ice.
"It's me...Anna-" She had to stop when her sister appeared. Anna couldn't help but be struck by Elsa's beauty.
"Elsa... You look different. A good one," Anna added quickly. "This palace is amazing."
Elsa took a step forward and said in a polite voice.
"Thanks. I never knew what I was capable of."
Anna began to climb the stairs. "I'm so sorry about what happened. If I had known..."
Alarmed, Elsa takes a step back. "No, it's okay. You don't have to apologize...But you'd better go."
Anna looked confused at her sister. "But I just got here. I came all this way to see you!"
Elsa made a face. "You belong in Arendelle."
"As do you," Anna retorted.
She took another step forward, while Elsa immediately took another step back. "No, I belong here," she waved her hand around. "Alone. Where I can be who I am without hurting anyone."
Anna frowned. "Actually, about that..."
"Hi?!" a voice called.
"Wait. What was that?" Elsa asked uncertainly. Had Anna come here with someone else?
Olaf comes running and waves his arms.
"Hi, I'm Olaf and I like hugs."
Elsa was shocked. "Olaf?"
Olaf was a little intimidated by Elsa.
"You built me," he said shyly. "Do you remember?"
"And you are alive?" Elsa asked in astonishment. She looked down at her hands in awe.
"I... I think so," Olaf mumbled.
Anna knelt down to Olaf. "It's just like the one we built as little kids. We were so close... We can be like that again."
Elsa begins to smile, but then a memory appears before her of how Anna was struck by her powers when she was a small child.
Elsa grimaced, pained, as if the memory was causing her physical pain.
She turned around. "Goodbye Anna."
Anna's eyes widened. No! She wouldn't give up.
"Elsa, please wait!"
"I'm just trying to protect you! Get it!" Elsa yelled.
"You don't have to protect me. I'm not afraid of you. Please don't shut me out. Not again."
They reached the top floor, where Elsa spent most of her time.
Elsa pushes open the balcony doors.
"What?"
She looks into the distance and saw the snow-capped mountains.
"It's like... an eternal winter," Anna explained uneasily.
"All over?" Elsa asked worried.
Anna nodded. "It's okay. Nobody's mad at you. At least that's what I think," Anna murmured quietly to herself. "You can just melt it again."
"No, I can't. I don't know how," Elsa said in a fearful voice.
"Sure, you can. I know you can. Harry can help you!"
Snowflakes begin to whirl around the room, stopping momentarily when Anna mentioned Harry's name.
"Harry?" Elsa asked quietly. What would he think of her? It didn't matter, she would be alone forever.
"Exactly! He's a magician or something." Elsa's eyes widened. "He didn't tell us what exactly he was, but it doesn't matter. He knows about magic." Anna beamed at Elsa.
The snow swirled again. A blizzard formed. "Stop lying to me, Anna," Elsa said angrily.
"I'm not lying to you! He's waiting outside and can explain everything to you! He can help you-" Anna's voice trailed off in the blizzard.
Elsa's fear and anger was so strong that she sucked in the blizzard, and it erupted from her like a big snowflake.
Anna was hit right in the heart. She clutched her chest in pain and stumbled back.
Elsa gasped when she saw Anna. Exactly, then Olaf came running after her and helped Anna up.
"Anna, are you okay?" Olaf asked worried.
"I'm fine." She stood up, determined to hide the pain.
Elsa was scared. "Please just go Anna. Leave me alone."
"No! I know we can find out together!"
"How?" Elsa asked hopelessly. "What power do you have to stop this winter. To stop me?"
Anna couldn't answer her. She had tears in her eyes.
"No, I won't leave without you. Not without you, Elsa."
"Yes, you do," Elsa said firmly. She waved her arms and built a golem out of ice.
Her heart broke when the golem took Anna and Olaf away. But it was better that way. Tears fell down her face as she crouched against a wall. She heard a noise but ignored it.
"Go away, Anna," Elsa cried.
She heard small footsteps and was startled when warm fur touched her hand. She looked up to see Aurora, Harry's cat, sitting in front of her. She mewed and licked her hand carefully.
"You should leave me alone," Elsa said, rubbing the tears from her eyes.
She gently stroked Aurora's head and for a moment forgot everything around her.
"How did you get up here?" Elsa asked as she hugged Harry's cat. Aurora snuggled up to her, stretched, and closed her eyes.
"She was always a little bit stubborn," Harry smiled.
Elsa's eyes widened and she looked towards the entrance. There Harry stood with windblown hair and covered in snow like he'd just come out of a snowball fight.
"Can we talk?"
A few minutes earlier.
Harry sat at the bottom of the stairs. While Anna was talking to Elsa, he formed little snowballs. Harry wished he had his gloves with him because his fingers were starting to freeze.
Kristoff paced restlessly in front of Harry.
"Why did I let her go alone? That was so stupid of me. Who knows what's going on in there," Kristoff muttered under his breath.
Harry picked up one of the snowballs and examined it closely. "Looks more like a hen's egg," Kristoff observed while he paced around.
Harry snorted.
"Your right," Harry replied, as he gazed at his work.
They all looked very strange and looked more like a pile of rocks than snowballs.
Harry waved his hand over his creation and little perfect snowballs formed.
"Incredible," Kristoff murmured in awe.
"Can you do something else?" he asked curiously.
Harry nodded absently. Kristoff then scowled from Harry to the castle.
"Do you like her?" Harry asked suddenly.
"A-Anna? What? No!" Kristoff stuttered, his ears turning red. Or it was because of the cold, Harry couldn't tell.
Harry looked at Kristoff in amusement. "I didn't even mention Anna."
Kristoff sighed and covered his eyes with a hand. "Why? Do you want to make fun of it?"
"Make fun of it? Why?" Harry was confused.
"I'm an ice harvester, Harry. No princess would get involved with someone like me."
Harry hummed to himself. "Maybe you should give Anna a chance to decide," Harry advised. "Then to decide beforehand that you're not worth it. Maybe she sees something about you that you can't see." Harry sat back and looked up at the sky where dark gray clouds looked back at him.
"If she can't accept who you are, she's not worth it either."
"Those are harsh words," Kristoff said, also looking at the sky.
Harry shrugged. "I've had bad experiences with people who just had the wrong expectations of me. Even friends of mine hoped that I would solve all their problems."
"And? Did you do it?" Kristoff asked.
Harry slowly nodded his head. "At first yes. But then they kept wanting more and I got to a point where I couldn't give anymore," Harry explained.
"Her sister...Elsa. Do you think she would hurt Anna?" Kristoff's question confused Harry.
"I can't imagine Elsa hurting Anna," Harry sighed. Kristoff raised an eyebrow at Harry's sigh.
"Oh? Does someone have the hots for the Ice Queen?"
Harry's face went completely red. But before he could answer, the door was forced open. Kristoff and he immediately got up to see an ice golem holding Anna and Olaf in his arms.
"Anna!" Kristoff cried.
"Put me down!" Anna yelled and the golem nodded as if he agreed with her and threw her towards the stairs.
Anna was lucky that Kristoff caught her while Olaf landed in the snow.
Enraged, she broke away from Kristoff and stomped after the golem.
"It's not nice to throw someone!" she called after him.
"Calm down, calm down!" Kristoff tried to hold her so she wouldn't run after the golem. Anna was just too unpredictable.
Which turned out to be true. Because Anna took one of Harry's snowballs and threw it at the golem, which stopped immediately.
"Great," Harry groaned and they heard a loud roar.
"Now he's mad!" Kristoff called, pulling Anna with him.
"I'll distract him. Go without me," Harry shouted, throwing another snowball at the golem. His head turned to Harry and ran after him. Harry jumped forward and transformed into his wolf form.
Four paws landed on the soft snow and the golem ran after him with surprising speed. Harry ran across the countryside and heard a loud sound like wood breaking.
He heard a hiss of air and had to stop when a tree trunk landed in front of his eyes.
Harry transformed back and gulped when he saw the golem running towards him.
"We can talk," Harry tried, but the golem just roared again.
"Well, I tried," mumbled Harry, drawing his wand. The golem ran towards him, and Harry shouted, "Reducto!"
A blue light emanated from his wand and struck the golem in the right leg. The leg was pulverized.
"Oh-oh!" The Ice Golem growled, realizing his leg was missing and losing his balance. To Harry's horror, he fell to the ground and a giant snow globe rolled towards him. Harry ran for his life and he slid down a small incline hoping the snow globe would roll over him.
He crouched down and saw a dark shadow fly overhead. Harry looked up and only saw how an arm of the golem stuck out of the ball of snow and changed the direction on the slope and the snowball fell towards him.
"By Merlin's underpants!" Harry could be heard screaming as the snow fell on top of him.
"Can we talk?" Harry asked.
"What are you doing here?" Elsa shook her head.
"No, go away. I don't want to see any of you again!"
Elsa started pacing back and forth. "Get it together. Control it. Don't feel. Don't feel. Don't FEEL!".
They hear ice cracking and Aurora jumped out of her arms to hide behind Harrys legs. Elsa looked around and saw a number of ice spikes behind her on the floor. They grew up the wall, taking over the castle.
Harry looks at her. "Who told you that nonsense?" He asked in a sharp tone.
Elsa is surprised by his tone. She never heard him that way before.
He took a step forward and she a step backwards.
"I ask you again, Elsa. Who told you that you should not feel? To hide your emotions?"
"My father," Elsa admitted quietly. "When I was a little girl, my parents took me somewhere and they explained my powers to us."
Harry sighed and waved his hand around them. "That happens, when you close yourself off from your magic, Elsa. The spikes are growing because of your anger and fear. Your father was wrong when he told you that."
Elsa was angry. How dare he talk about her father that way? She had always lived with her powers and her parents were her strength. Her home.
"Don't you dare talk about my father, Harry! You know nothing! Nothing!"
Harry took a step forward. "Nothing?" Harry asked and took out his wand. He flicked the phoenix wand and a circle of fire erupted around them.
Elsa was speechless. She never thought that she would see someone else with powers similar to hers. But here he was, standing right in front of her.
The warmth of the fire was battling the coldness from the ice.
Harry flicked his wand once again, and the fire disappeared.
"I know a lot more about magic, than you do, Elsa." He looked at her and stepped another two steps forward.
"And I can teach you everything you need to know, but you need to let me in."
He took a final step forward and stood in front of her. She looked beautiful, even with a tearful face. He could see a spark in her eyes, a spark of hope.
Harry reached out and gently touched her cheek. She felt cold, yet her skin was incredibly soft. Her eyes widened when Harry touched her, and he could see the fear in her eyes.
She struggled with herself and after seconds that passed like an eternity, she leaned into his hand.
Harry withdrew his hand and gave her a roguish smile that Sirius would have been proud of and held out his hand to her.
"Come on. Let me show you what magic can really do!"
Elsa gulped and hesitantly took his hand. If she were to look back a few years from now, it was that moment that changed everything for her.
She took his hand in hers and she stifled a swallow when she saw his bright smile.
Anna rode Sven with Kristoff and Olaf. She suddenly started shaking.
"Are you cold?" Kristoff asked worried.
"A little..."
He was about to put his arm around her but decided against it at the last moment.
As he watched her, another strand of hair turned white.
Kristoff hesitated for a moment, but when Olaf nodded, he plucked up courage and pushed the strand of hair out of her face.
Anna gasped in surprise and looked wide-eyed at Kristoff, who lowered his eyes to a clearing.
He has a nice smile, Anna thought.
"Where are we?"
Kristoff helped her down from Sven. "This is my family."
Anna and Olaf looked at each other. "He's crazy," Olaf realized.
"I'll distract him while you run away," Olaf whispered to Anna.
For they were surrounded by stones.
Harry told her about his world. How Braum had come to him and asked for his help. He told Elsa about his first meeting with Hagrid. How, with Ron's help, he saved Hermione, and a friendship grew out of it.
Elsa was overwhelmed. Here she sat with a good friend and talked about magic! Magic! She gasped when Harry told her about the Chamber of Secrets. As proof, he rolled up his arm and she saw the scar left by the basilisk's bite.
Elsa's eyes filled with wonder as she heard Harry speak. It was like a world made for her and she had no idea it existed.
"But I'm not a witch, am I?" Elsa whispered desperately.
"I am different." She pulled her legs to herself.
She felt Harry sit down next to her. The familiar scent that she identified as Harry and she looked up from her legs.
She looked into his emerald, green eyes and met his gaze. It felt like she was losing herself in his eyes.
"I'm not sure, but it's not bad to be different." Harry said, running a hand through his hair in thought.
Elsa thought it was cute. "There are rumors about elementals. They had only powers, about their own element, but I haven't heard of any living ones," explained Harry.
Before Elsa lost hope, Harry had an idea. He quickly got up and helped Elsa up.
"I wanted to show you why you shouldn't close yourself off."
Elsa watched as he took out his wand and took a step forward.
She shivered and rubbed her arms as she felt Harry focus his magic.
"Expecto Patronum!" Harry incanted.
The Magic waved over her like small breeze of summer air. Something white swirled in front of her eyes, forming a stag. The stag galloped across the room, but it's hooves made no sound. It was as if the stag was looking for something and when it found nothing, he turned to Harry.
He approached Harry and bowed his head in front of him.
Harry turned to Elsa. "Come closer. He won't hurt you," Harry promised.
Elsa trusted Harry. She slowly approached the stag and held her hand out. The stag trotted forward, ducking it's head towards her. She reached out with her hand and felt a familiar warmth return… something she had thought she had lost when her parents were lost to the sea.
She closed her eyes and let the feeling fill her up. A single tear ran down her cheek, until a warm hand brushed it away.
"It took a long time for me to learn it myself, but it's not bad to be different, Elsa," Harry whispered.
"I'm s-sorry," Elsa cried, and Harry took her in his arms. He knew she was not apologizing to him. After all, there was nothing to apologize for. Tears began to fall, and she cried for the first time in years.
She cried for the loss of her parents.
She cried because of the time she missed with her sister.
She cried because she had missed the warmth, that Harry provided. The first hug she had gotten, since she was a small girl.
Her shoulders stopped shaking and she broke from their embrace.
She wiped the tears from her face and started to feel calm for the first time in years.
"Thank you, Harry," she said shyly.
"Your welcome," Harry answered with a smile, that sped up her heart.
Elsa sent him her brightest smile and did something that she would never have done before. She jumped into his arms and started to laugh.
Harry loved to see Elsa smile and was happy to see her laugh. He twirled her around the room, both gazing into their eyes.
Elsa sighed contently and leaned her head onto his shoulder.
"You have the perfect height," Elsa whispered.
She heard him chuckle. "I'm glad, to be useful then."
Elsa leaned back and saw his sparkling eyes. "Thank you, Harry. I mean it. For everything." They slowly moved forward. Her eyes focus on his lips, when suddenly her stomach started to growl.
They jumped apart and she was mortified, about what she was about to do.
I was going to kiss, Harry!
She felt giddy. She never thought she could feel these feelings! Her heart pounded in her chest when she looked at him.
Suddenly, a thought came back to her. Did he even like her? Wasn't she a monster?
"Stop thinking like that, Elsa."
Elsa frowned. "Can you read my thoughts?"
He shot her a look. "No, I cannot. There is magic that is capable to read the thoughts of another person, but I am really lousy at it."
He shook his head. She really wanted to run a hand through his hair.
"I've known you for a few months now, Elsa. And you are quite similar to me."
"What do you mean?" Elsa crossed her arms above her chest. She shot him a smug look, noticing briefly where his eyes were going.
"Ugh- You will be the death of me," Harry groaned and this time his stomach was growling.
"I think I better find us something to eat."
"Can you not use your magic?" Elsa asked.
"Nope," Harry answered. "Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. It's impossible to make food out of nothing."
Elsa sighed. "Alright, I trust your word of it. So, what now?"
"Now?" He smiled at her. "I will find us some berries and then we will think about this whole winter situation."
He started to turn around, but she grabbed his hand. She needed to know.
"Do you think I can do it?" Elsa whispered softly.
"Yes, Elsa. I am certain of it." He looked into her eyes with such conviction that she believed him.
"Go then, Harry," Elsa demanded. "The quicker you'll be back."
Harry smiled at her and ran outside. As he ran, Aurora jumped onto his shoulder and Elsa couldn't help but stare after him. Even from behind he looked extremely good...
She smacked herself against her cheeks and stomped on the ground to get rid of those thoughts.
Elsa looked at her hands and took a calm breath. She focused herself on everything that happened since Harry came to her.
With red cheeks she twirled her finger in a circle.
The ice spikes slowly disappeared…
Anna watched as Kristoff acted with the trolls. He looked so carefree when suddenly Anna collapsed.
She started shaking badly.
"Anna?" Kristoff looked cute; his brows creased as he worried about her.
"Her body is freezing," Kristoff said, looking up as Grand Pabbie emerged through the crowd.
"Bring her to me, Kristoff," Grand Pabbie instructed.
He looked into Anna's weak eyes.
"Anna, your life is in danger. The ice in your heart is from your sister. If it is not removed, you will become solid ice forever."
"What?" Anna asked shocked.
"Can you remove it?"
Grand Pabbie shook his head. "I can't. If it was her head, that would be easy. But only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart."
"An act of true love?" Anna asked.
"Anna, we've got to get you back to Hans." Kristoff helped her back on her feet.
"Hans?" Anna whispered weakly. Her heart felt heavy.
Did she really love him?
"We are here to find Princess Anna. We have no idea what we are up against. Be on guard," Hans advised the men.
Hans and the men move cautiously toward the door. He was about to reach out when the door suddenly opened.
Hans recognized the man. It was the guard with the name Harry.
Harry's thoughts were filled with Elsa as he opened door. In front of him stood a group of men, led by Hans.
He was about to say something as two thugs appeared behind Hans and jumped at him.
Harry was knocked over in surprise and was able to deliver another punch when the second wrapped his hands behind his back.
"What are you doing? Let me go immediately!" Harry shouted angrily.
He struggled, but the weight of the two men was too much for him.
"Getting this kingdom is easier than I thought," Hans whispered to Harry. His eyes widened and he gestured with a hand behind Harry where Elsa was standing.
"Elsa run!" Harry screamed. "He wants-" But suddenly everything went black for Harry, and he fell limp to the ground.
"No!" Elsa screamed desperately.
"Stay away!" She shot spikes of ice at Hans and his men, who had to jump out of the way. Seeing how close the ice spikes were getting to Harry, she held back, giving the two thugs enough time to approach her.
In two quick moves, Elsa trapped one thug in a cage of spikes that threatened his throat. The other one was pushed back with a wall of ice. The doors of the balcony shattered, and the thug was pushed to the edge.
"Queen Elsa! Don't be the monster they fear you are!" Hans shouted as he and the rest of his man surrounded her.
She saw the frightened looks of the man and hesitated just enough for the first thug to aim his crossbow over Elsa's back. Just as the arrow released, the man was jumped by Aurora, when she did bite into his arm.
"Argh!" The man screamed, holding his arm up. The arrow released and hit the ice chandelier, that Elsa was standing right under.
Elsa dived out of the way, just as the chandelier came crashing down.
Elsa's eyes fluttered open and sat up.
"The dungeons." She recognized the stones around her.
As she looks to the nearby window, she heard a familiar groan.
"Harry?"
"I-I am wake!" She heard him mutter. If the situation wasn't so serious, she would have smiled.
"Where are we?" Harry groaned.
"In the dungeons," Braum answered in a cell next to Elsa's. The man was sitting right in front of Harry.
"What?" Harry asked confused and Elsa tried to look through the window but she was pulled back by giant shackles that were around her hands.
She could see Arendelle. And it was buried under a huge blanked of ice and snow.
"No…What have I done?" Elsa's lip was trembling.
"Elsa, whatever you are thinking right now. Stop it!" Harry demanded. "This might have happened because of your powers, but we can reverse it! I know you can do it!"
"I can't," Elsa whispered.
"You can. And I will help you as soon as we get out of here," Harry declared.
"Listen to Harry, your highness," Braum voiced. "The people of Arendelle are worried. Worried for their Queen."
Elsa shook her head. The chains rattled on the icy ground.
"I do not deserve to be Queen," Elsa murmured.
"That is right," Hans said as he stepped inside her cell. Elsa turned to him.
"Why did you bring us here?" Harry yelled through the cell.
"And you better get us out of here, or I will knock your teeth out!"
"So much anger," Hans chuckled. He looked over at Elsa with a strange gleam in his eyes.
Was it greed? She couldn't be certain.
"I am glad you are awake Queen Elsa. I would like for you to stop the winter,"
Elsa meets his eyes desperately. "Don't you see…I can't!"
Hans sighed. "If you can't do it, then maybe we need to get rid of the roots."
"The roots?" Harry repeated angrily. "What exactly do you mean by that?"
"You're really pushy for a simple guard, you know that? But I'll answer your question. After all, it's for the greater good of Arendelle."
Hans cleared his throat. "The Queen is the reason we are in a winter. If she can't bring summer back herself...then we'll have to do it ourselves."
"And how do you imagine doing that?" Braum growled.
"Quite easy," Hans smiled. "Without the Ice Queen, there is no winter."
Elsa gasped at what he was hinting at.
"I won't let that happen," Harry yelled across the cell.
"Unfortunately, the simple guard won't be able to do anything about that," Hans mocked. "There will be an unfortunate accident that will kill the queen. With no queen and no princess, Arendelle will have to turn to someone new."
"And you want that someone to be you?"
Hans nodded happily.
"Indeed. The people of Arendelle will look towards their savior. Me," Hans bowed before Elsa and walked out of the door.
Anna was waiting alone in the library when the door opened.
"Anna," Hans said.
Hans hurried to Anna, who fell into her arms.
"You are so cold."
"Hans, you have to kiss me." Anna looked up with weak eyes. She put all her hope in him.
"What?" Hans asked in surprise.
"Now please!"
She tries to kiss him but is too weak to pull herself up on his arms.
Hans helped her to sit down.
"What exactly happened out there?" he asked.
"Elsa hit me with her powers," Anna admitted.
Hans raised an eyebrow. "You told me she would never hurt you."
Anna lowered her head. "I was wrong. She froze my heart and only an act of true love can save me."
Hans quickly understood. "A true love's kiss."
Anna started to shiver even more as Hans takes her chin and gives her a tender smile. She leaned in, only for him to move away from her.
"Oh Anna," Hans laughed. "Do you really think I love you?"
Anna was stunned. "What?"
"Alright, let me repeat that. I do not love you. Never have. As thirteenth in line in my own family, I didn't have a chance. I knew I'd have to marry into the throne somewhere."
Anna was speechless. "Was everything an act?"
He smiled at her. Only this time, it was not fake. "Of course!"
How could she be so wrong?
He starts to pour water on the fireplace. "I thought I would have to stage a little accident for you and the current queen…But this was just too easy." The flames extinguished and the room quickly turned cold.
Anna attempted to halt him but collapsed onto the floor, feeble. "No…Stop! This is not you," she tried again. This was a nightmare for her.
Hans chuckled to himself. "You never knew me, Anna. All that's left is to kill the current queen, and to bring back the summer and Arendelle will finally be mine."
He approached her slowly. "Harry and Elsa will take you down," Anna declared strongly.
Hans bent down and took her chin roughly. "I am the hero, who is going to save Arendelle from your sister. A mere guard will not stop me."
Anna yanked her face out of his hands.
"You will not get away with this," Anna declared angrily.
Hans rose and moved to the door. "I have already won. There is no one who can stop me."
The duke looked out the window and rubbed his arms to warm himself.
"The storm outside is getting worse. It's getting colder every minute, my prince. We must do something, or we will freeze to death."
Hans looked at him annoyed. "Leave that to me. I know men with special powers that can bring us out of this nightmare. Then Arendelle will be mine."
The duke gasped. "But the queen-"
"The Queen is a monster, Duke. Princess Anna is death and Arendelle needs someone capable. Someone with the willpower to move this country forward!"
"With a heavy heart, I charge queen Elsa of Arendelle with treason and sentence her to death!"
The duke shook his head. He knew the old queen and king very well, although they were never close friends. They were always fair to him because he knew in his heart how direct he could be. Even when his subjects were not doing well because of a storm, the then king immediately offered his help without wanting anything in return. The duke watched helplessly as the young prince left for the door to summon his people.
"It's all my fault," Harry heard Elsa say. He tried to get up, but the chains around his hands held him back.
"Any idea how we can get out of here?" Braum asked.
Harry nodded confidently. "Give me a moment."
He concentrated and Braum saw Harry transform for the first time. Fur grew over his body and his arms narrowed. The chains fell to the ground with a clatter, and in Harry's place stood a wolf.
"Wow," Braum exhaled. He had never seen anything like it.
Harry transformed back and rubbed his hands, which were just wrapped in the chains.
He walked over to the wall and felt it and found a good spot. "Elsa, please move aside, we can get through now!" Harry shouted.
Elsa was startled. Everything seemed hopeless when she suddenly felt something. She quickly stepped aside and not a moment too late as the wall collapsed in front of her eyes.
The dust settled, revealing a gasping Harry and a Braum, staring wide-eyed at the pile of rocks.
"Wandless magic is really exhausting," Harry gasped out.
Harry quickly ran to Elsa and looked at her chains.
"Hm... Can you use your powers?" Harry asked.
"You should leave me here," Elsa argued.
Harry rolled his eyes. "I won't leave you here. Who knows what that idiot has in store for you." Harry looked out the window.
Braum got on his knees in front of Elsa. "If I had known what you are going through, your Majesty, I would have supported you in every way."
Elsa looked down at him. "Aren't you afraid of me?"
"Fear?" Braum chuckled and his eyes lit up. "Why should I be afraid of the young girl sneaking into the kitchen at night to get herself some chocolate?"
Elsa blushed. "H-How do you know about that?"
Braum smiled and got up. "I promised your father that I would protect you. And I will continue to do so."
Elsa didn't know what to say and had tears in her eyes. "Thank you... Braum."
Harry held out his hand to her. "Ready to rid Arendelle of some idiots?"
Elsa gave him a gentle smile. "Yes!"
"Good, because I hear the guards coming," Braum said, listening with one ear to the door.
The door swung open, and the guards blinked at the situation before them. Queen Elsa and Harry stood close next to each other.
Braum stood in front of them with a disappointed face.
"I'll give you three seconds to explain yourself before I smash your heads in."
The guards exchanged looks and quickly explained what Prince Hans had said to them.
"Princess Anna is dead?" Braum growled.
Harry held Elsa tightly.
"She can't be dead," Elsa whispered desperately.
"I'm sure she's not dead. Anna can take care of herself," Harry reassured her. "Even if she can be a little clumsy." Harry smiled when he heard Elsa's giggle.
He drew his wand when he saw one of his rune stones to glow.
"What is that?" Elsa asked when she saw the light up on the stone Harry was holding in his hand.
"It's a rune stone," Harry explained, looking at Braum, who was listening. "It means someone evil has crossed the line into Arendelle."
They ran through the wind and could hardly see anything.
"Keep going, Anna!" Olaf cried as a storm of wind grabbed him and knocked him off his feet.
Anna moves forward blindly. Her hands had started to freeze an icy blue. She stumbled but pulled herself together decisively.
"Kristoff," Anna whispered through the storm.
"Anna? Anna!"
Elsa and Harry fought side by side through the storm.
"Are you sure she's out here?" Elsa asks.
Harry nodded and pointed to his wand, which was pointing in a certain direction.
"Very sure. Come on!"
A dark shadow followed them through the storm. They were followed by Hans.
"Elsa, you can't run away from this!"
Elsa let go of Harry's hand and turned to Hans. "Shut up! I'm the queen of Arendelle and you don't have anything to say to me!" A prison of ice sprang up around him.
"Wow," Harry said, giving Elsa a funny look.
"Harry?" she asked cautiously. Was he disgusted with her after all?
"That was really hot. If the situation wasn't so serious, I would kiss you right now," Harry admitted.
Elsa's face turned red, at the same time the storm abated, and they could see Anna.
"Anna!" Elsa called and ran to her. Anna looked up to see Harry and Elsa running towards her.
"Elsa," she whispered weakly. She saw a group of men appear out of nowhere. They wore black coats and weird masks. One of them pointed at Elsa and a green bolt of lightning flew towards Elsa.
Anna took her last strength and jumped forward. With arms outstretched as if to protect Elsa, she lunged at Elsa and Harry and the beam of green light hit her.
Harry turned as Anna jumped past them.
"No!" Elsa screamed and threw herself on Anna and touched her frozen face.
"Oh, Anna... no... no, please don't," Elsa cried, hugging her sister.
Kristoff looked at her in shock. Citizens and dignitaries watched sadly from afar.
Harry put a hand on her shoulder when he suddenly gasped. The ice started to melt!
Olaf and Kristoff saw it too and their eyes lit up.
Anna bent her arm and embraced Elsa.
"What? Anna?!"
She smiled with relieve at Anna.
"Oh, Elsa!" The two sisters embraced with each other.
"She saved you, Elsa."
The sisters turn to Harry, who was looking, his wand raised towards the group of people in black cloaks.
"The spell that was supposed to hit you, is called Avada Kedavra. The killing curse. Only one other person has survived it," Harry explained. He glances at Anna. "Welcome in the club. I congratulate you Anna, you are the first person after me to do it."
"I-What?" Anna was confused.
"You sacrificed yourself for me?" Elsa asked.
"I love you," Anna said and turned to her sister.
Olaf's eyes widened. "An act of true love will thaw a frozen heart."
Elsa quickly realized something. She looked at Anna and glanced to Harry, who was firmly looking at the group of people.
"Love is the answer." She lifts her arms, and the snow rose high into the air.
You could hear the villagers laughing, as they felt the warmth returning.
With a final wave, Elsa drew all of the snow into a giant snowflake in the sky, and then waved it away.
Elsa was smart enough to not melt the ice of the fjord, just yet.
"I knew you could do it," Anna said in awe of her skills.
"Hands down, this is the best day of my life… and quite possibly the last," Olaf said.
"Oh, Olaf. Hang on, little guy." Elsa waved her hand and surrounded Olaf with a swirl of cold air, and he stopped melting. Above his head she left a little, snowing storm cloud.
"Amazing!" A voice yelled. "This power will be mine."
They all turned towards the intruders.
"Who are they?" Anna asked weakly.
"Death Eaters," Harry spat. "They are the reason Braum asked me to come here."
One of the men took of his mask. "Potter! I will gladly kill you this time." The man eyed Elsa with a strange gleam in his eyes. She shivered and moved closer to Harry.
"You will be mine," the stranger called.
"I am glad I finally found you, Malfoy," Harry shouted back. "Finally, I can stop looking for you. Your mother is worried about you, you know."
"Shut up Potter! It took us three years to find out what was beyond the veil. The dark lord had left us his notes on the veil of death." Draco Malfoy waved his arms around.
"This is our land, Potter! My future kingdom!" He pointed with a hand towards Elsa. "And you will be my queen! Nothing will stop us!" His face turned red in excitement.
"My sister will never marry you- you ferret!" Anna screamed.
Elsa snorted and Harry sent her a smile.
She turned towards the blond-haired man. "I will never marry a ferret like you." She quickly high-fived Anna.
"You heard the queen, Malfoy. Hold up your hands and I will have a cell ready for you."
Malfoy laughed and nodded towards the others. "Potter, you are alone. Do you really believe you can beat us all? Not even you are that powerful."
Harry raised his wand. "We will find out I guess."
A blinding light of flashes erupted from his wand and flew towards his enemies.
Two of them screamed and a shield appeared in front of them. The spells were blocked, and several Death Eater screamed "Avada Kedavra!". Countless Killing Curses flew at Harry. He couldn't dodge the spells out of fear they would hit Elsa or someone else.
Elsa could sense Harry focusing his magic. She felt for the first time how much power he possessed. The snow around them began to rise and snow swirled in front of them from all directions. From them formed lions and serpents that intercepted every single curse.
"Bombarda!" Malfoy called out from the crowd and the spell landed squarely on the ice at Harry's feet.
Harry just managed to cast a protego, so he only had to take a few steps back.
"Elsa, you have to help Harry!" Anna looked at her and Elsa nodded resolutely.
She pulled up her sleeves and waved her arms. A massive ice golem formed and immediately started to attack the Death Eaters. The Golem took a deep breath, and two Death Eaters were heard screaming helplessly as they froze to ice.
Harry, on the other hand, used his wand to form a large ice sword. The golem was surprised and beamed gratefully at Harry, who now began pushing the Death Eaters back with his sword.
"Wow," Anna exhaled, leaning on Kristoff's shoulder. Elsa and Harry worked in perfect harmony, as if the two had fought side by side for years.
While Harry made sure no spells hit them, Elsa was quick to attack any Death Eaters. With each hit, another froze to ice. She would worry about melting them later.
"Blonde hair and green eyes," Anna said suddenly.
"What?" Elsa called.
"I just realized what your children will look like."
Elsa and Harry blushed, and he glanced over at Elsa, distracting him long enough to be hit by a spell from Malfoy.
"No!" Elsa screamed as she saw Harry thrown a few feet in the air.
"I won." Malfoy shouted in disbelieve. "Finally!" He looked around to celebrate his victory with his followers, but all he found were countless ice sculptures, sparkling in the warm glow of the sun.
"What?" Something tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up wide-eyed to see a giant hand of ice.
Elsa walked forward, hips swaying. "No one hurts my Harry."
The hand of ice clenched into a fist and Draco had to swallow. Maybe he should have listened to his mother and stayed at home.
Elsa punched forward and the fist slammed Malfoy hard into the ground.
She quickly turned and ran to Harry. Her dress swirled in the wind, and she knelt down next to him. She took Harry's head in her hands and placed it on his lap.
"Harry, wake up. Please." His eyes were closed. Apart from a few scratches on his face, she couldn't see any injuries.
"The spell that struck him sent him into an endless sleep. Only a princess' kiss can wake him up," Olaf mock whispered next to her.
Kristoff snickered at them, but quickly stopped when Anna glared at him.
"Sorry," Kristoff apologized.
Anna tapped him on his arm. "Good boy."
Elsa looked down at Harry. She was nervous and her heart was beating quickly.
"I know that you are awake, Harry," she accused him.
She saw him smile and he opened his eyes. "You are amazing, you know."
Elsa blushed slightly. "I know that now. My powers are a blessing. Not a curse."
With Elsa's help, Harry quickly sat up. His heart almost thumped its way out of his chest when he saw her.
Her blue eyes were focused on his own. He looked down and saw that her lips were slightly parted. His heart pounded in his chest, and he licked his dry lips.
Her hair was slightly disheveled from the fight. A single strand came loose, and Harry raised his hand to put it back. She leaned slowly into his hand.
"Do you want to try this?" He asked her and Harry leaned forward. He could feel her breath on his lips.
"Yes. More than anything," Elsa whispered. She closed the gap between them and kissed him.
All coherent thoughts were lost, and his only focus was the woman in front of him. He tightened his arms around her and deepened their kiss.
He never wanted to let go of her. It would leave him in deeper misery than during all the lonesome years before Hogwarts.
The urge to breathe became too great and forced them to break the kiss. Their foreheads leaned against each other.
"Wow," she whispered. She broke into a wide smile that was mirrored by Harry.
They heard a sniffle, and both looked towards the others. Kristoff was looking elsewhere, and Olaf was beaming at them.
Anna was silently crying, and Elsa quickly moved to embrace her.
"What is wrong?"
"N-Nothing," Anna exhaled. "It was just yesterday that I thought, you would never be happy and now you're here and found your truth love!" She embraced Elsa who glanced towards Harry, who was talking with Olaf.
"Yes, I found it. Thanks to you," Elsa laughed and quickly moved over to Harry.
She grabbed his hand, and he could not help but laugh.
"What are we doing?"
"I want to dance," Elsa declared.
"Now?" Harry smiled at her.
Elsa nodded and curtsied in front of him. She raised an eyebrow when she saw his elegant bow.
"Who taught you that?" She asked him when he put an arm around her.
"My aunt. She said a lord of my standing should know how to bow," replied Harry and he twirled her around.
Elsa hid her surprise well. She didn't know that he was a lord, but this would make it easier, once they would marry.
Together they danced around the fjord. Hans and any Death Eaters forgotten, as Anna and Kristoff joined them.
It didn't take long and even the villagers started to join them as well. They saw Jane and Sophie dance with each other. As well as Kai and Gerda. Even the protesting Braum was seen dancing with someone.
All was well for Arendelle.
The future was bright for Arendelle.
Harry would go back to England once more. He would visit England one last time with Elsa. One, to turn Draco and his followers over to the Ministry and the other to visit Teddy.
It didn't take long for them to persuade Andromeda to move to Arendelle. She had long since stopped wanting to live in the house where she was constantly reminded of her dead husband and daughter.
Teddy quickly made good friends in Jane and Sophie, who were his own age, and went on countless adventures together.
Hans was locked up until one of his brothers would pick him up. To Harry's surprise, the eldest brother was accompanied by none other than Sirius, his godfather. There was a heartwarming hug, and many manly tears were shed.
Three years later.
Elsa stood in front of the church and looked down at herself. Anna helped her with her crown.
"Perfect," declared Anna. "You look beautiful, sister."
She was wearing a white gown that fit her perfectly.
Elsa looked down at herself. "Do you think he will like it?"
Anna wiggled her eyebrows. "He loves you, Elsa. You could wear nothing, and he would still marry you. Actually, he would prefer you that way." She wriggled her eyebrows at her.
Elsa blushed. "You are right."
Anna huffed. "Of course, I am."
Elsa let out a breath. Her nerves were getting to her.
Anna beamed at her. "Then let's get you married to Harry. When I visited him earlier, he was about to faint. The poor man."
She opened the doors to the church and the noise inside stopped.
Everyone looked at her, but she only had eyes for him.
She eagerly grabbed Anna's arm and the sisters stepped inside. The doors were closed by Olaf. Elsa and Harry would continue to embrace their future together and live their lives to the fullest.
The End
