44Chapter 13: Epilogue
Arcadia Oaks, October 10th
"Good evening, Arcadia Oaks! The day is almost over, and a beautiful sunset is currently going on for you all to enjoy! Hope you all have a goodnight!" Spoke a voice on the radio for Arcadia Oaks' local radio station.
Currently in town some shops are closing, and others are preparing for the night. Outside of comic store named 'Excelsior Comics Toby stepped out of it with a bag full of the latest comic books.
"Thanks Stan." Toby said to the elderly comic store owner in sunglasses. "Jim's going to like these new 'Gun Robot' comics."
"My pleasure kid." Stan Lee called back before the door to his store closed.
Toby made his way through town until he got to the canals. He got down to them and waited beneath a specific bridge right before a certain wall.
SWOOM!
He turns to see a portal open behind him with Claire and Douxie, with Archie in his cat form perched on the master wizards' shoulder, stepping through it.
"Did you guys get them?" He asked the two sorcerers.
"Yep." Claire said as some younger teenagers stepped through the portal.
One was Rolf alongside Ed and Jonny 2/4 who was carrying his hunk-of-wood best friend Plank and two other teens who looked to be a twins and appeared to be only a month or two into their 13th year of life. One was a boy and the other was a girl, Dipper and Mabel Pines.
"I thought you said we were going to be in the Trollmarket place." Mabel asked as she saw that they were under a bridge.
"I said that we would be teleporting to the entrance mates." Douxie said as he nodded to Toby.
Toby then got out an object that was a bright yellow-orange angular gemstone set in what looked like a candle holder.
"You guys are going to love this." Toby said as he drew a semicircle into the wall in front of them. The line glowed blue and once the semicircle was finished, Toby pushed on it and a doorway opened for the group. Douxie, Claire, and Archie went through it first and then the others, who were amazed by it.
"Cool." Ed said as the wall put itself back together.
"If you were impressed by that then wait till you see the rest." Archie said to them.
The group saw a spiral crystal stairway appear in front of them that glowed blue and led downward.
"Far out!" Jonny said after seeing the crystal stairway.
"Watch your step." Claire advised the newcomers.
The group then made their way down the crystal staircase. As they made their way down the newcomers took notice of how the crystal stairs behind them seemed to disappear once they stepped onto the next crystal. Finally, the group made it to the bottom were the veterans showed the newcomers the entrance way. They stepped through it and wonder filled the eyes of the newcomers.
"Welcome to Heartstone Trollmarket!" Toby said as the group showed the newcomers the subterranean metropolis. Many buildings such as houses, bridges, trading posts, and many others could be found in this underground city. Different minerals and crystals could be found all over the place providing illumination for the residents. And at the center of this place was a giant glowing orange crystal, the Heartstone that provided life and sustenance for those who called this place home.
"WHOA!" Mabel, Dipper, Ed, and Jonny said at the same time as they walked into the marketplace.
"First time down here is always the best." Toby said to them. "And unlike me and Jim the Trolls won't be giving you the cold shoulder."
"This place is amazing!" Dipper said as he got out a pencil and notepad and started writing down notes. "I've been wanting to see this place ever since the Eternal Night event appeared on the news!"
"Just remember to say close." Claire advised as she pulled Dipper and Jonny back. "This is your first time coming down here and it is for a special event."
"Look at my new friends." Ed said as he brought back some Gnomes with him.
"Ed-boy put those down." Rolf said to Ed who reluctantly complied.
"Were those Gnomes?" Mabel asked a little creeped though. "They seem different than the ones in Gravity Falls."
"I read about this." Dipper said. "These Gnomes are actually a variant from Europe, they even have horns under their hats."
"Yeah, they came aboard the Mayflower and Gyre's once the Trolls here had their Gyre station set up." Toby said to the group.
"I met some unicorns in Gravity Falls." Mabel said. "Are there any different ones in Europe?"
"You've met North American unicorns?" Douxie said. "Yeah, those ones are knobs, the ones in Europe are the ones most like the ones you read about in fairytales."
"While I don't mean to sound rude you don't want to spend too much time sightseeing right now." Archie said to the newcomers. "After all you have a party to go to."

A little later…
The group had made their way to the Hero's Forge, an arena used by the Trollhunters to train. Up above on pedestals lining the circular wall of the arena were the petrified dead bodies of all the previous Trollhunters. While the arena is used for training today it was used for a different purpose, one that hadn't been used for a year ago and the previous year.
"HAPPY EIGHTEENTHEN BIRTYHDAY JIM!"
A crowd consisting of Trolls, humans, and Akiridions had gathered to celebrate Jim's 18th birthday. Jim was seen blowing out the candles of a cake his mom Barbara and her fiancée the former Changeling Troll Stricklander presented to him. Jim also saw Steve, Aja, and their septuplet children with Aja's brother Krel, Eli, and Nomura standing next to them.
"A wonderous celebration Master Jim!" Blinky said as he approached the Trollhutner with AAARRRGGHH! at his side.
"Are we late?" Claire said as she and her group got to the arena.
"I'd say you made it in time." Jim said as he hugged his girlfriend.
Jim turned to the newcomers to Trollhunters and said. "Rolf, Ed good to see you guys again!"
"Indeed Trollhunter Jim." Rolf greeted the Trollhunter. "You have helped Rolf during the fight against evil god Crom Cruach. And you gave Rolf the chance to be rid of demon wolf Fenrir."

Peach Creek, a week ago…
Jim had decided to take the marble that had held Fenrir's soul to Rolf just like he said he would. With Claire's help the two of them along with Fenris made it to the home of the teen in question. They were at Rolf's farm and informed him of their journey while nearby Ed was playing with the giant wolf Fenris.
"And if Rolf destroys the marble holding demon wolf Fenrir?" Rolf asked the older teenagers.
"According to Utgard-Loki, if the vessel holding a spirit is destroyed than the soul inside will be lost to oblivion." Jim explained. "No afterlife, no reincarnation, and no returning to their original body."
Rolf looked at the marble for a moment, in it was the very monster that killed his family and tried to kill him and his friends a few months ago. He then placed the marble on a rock before he raised the Shepherd's cane; after pausing for a moment, he brought it down onto the marble.
SHATTER!
The marble was destroyed, the only thing that remained was broken glass and the soul of Fenrir was gone forever.

Present
"Thanks again for inviting us!" Ed excitedly said as he, Jonny, Dipper, and Mabel were looking around.
"When you said that you wanted to bring in a few friends I didn't think they'd also be in California." Claire said to Ed.
"So, what can you tell me about Troll culture?" Dipper asked Blinky who was impressed by the young human's interest in Troll history.
"Ah, a scholar in the making, I can share with you what I can later though you may need to learn the Troll language in order to understand our books." Blinky said to the curious boy.
"You feel really smooth." Mabel said as she felt AAARRRGGHH! rock skin. The Troll in question laughed a little.
"Yo, Lake let's get to your presents!" Steve called out.
"That sounds like a good idea." Nari said as she approached the group. At her side was Jim's pet wolf Fenris. He was much smaller now thanks to an enchanted collar that Nari gave him that now made him the size of a dire wolf.
The group turned to a pile of presents that the guests had brought to the party.
"How about this one?" Krel said as he picked out a small one.
"Let me see it Krel." Jim said to the Akiridion prince. "That's strange."
"What is it, Jim?" Barbara asked her son.
"Doesn't say who it's from." Jim replied.
"Maybe they wanted to be anonymous?" Claire said as Jim started to open it.
"Why would someone not want recognition for giving a present?" Aja asked.
"I wouldn't want to be anonymous." Eli said.
Jim opened the box and took out the present that was inside. It was a silver necklace with a small black jewel hanging on it.
"Sweet bling." Toby said as he and everyone else saw it.
"I wonder who its from?" Jim said.
As everyone looked at the necklace Douxie, Archie, and Nari turned to each other with worried looks. Just by looking at the necklace they automatically knew what it was, more specifically the black jewel on it.

Flashback
"Thank you for giving us this spell Douxie." Mayor Sebben said to the master wizard who stood in his office alongside Nari and Archie. "This soul extraction spell presents a possible way to destroy Sammael."
"And the truth about Ragnarok." Douxie said to the mayor of GrimmFall. "Will Valhallen know as well?"
"He's been having doubts about Odin since the Battle of Nowhere." Sebben said. "He should at least know true Ragnarok Prophecy."
"Mister Sebben." Nari said next. "It is to my understanding that Sammael has a fake Gem of Destruction in his possession, correct?"
"We were able to deduce what he took was a replica yes." Sebben answered. "And with it he may already have an idea of where the real Gem of Destruction is."
"Assuming he has the right person." Archie said next. "Who knows how this fake gem even works."

Present
On the outskirts of Arcadia Oaks Sammael stood on a nearby cliff overlooking the town. His present to Jim has been delivered and the Trollhunter will now be his candidate for the Spiral Wielder of Destruction, more specifically the one who will find it for him. It may take a few years, but Sammael is nothing but patient when it comes to playing the long game.
"Happy birthday Jim." Sammael said with a grin before disappearing into a portal.

Alfheim, Temple of Light
After delivering the Sword of Summer back to Freyr, Roland got Freyr, Freya, Sif, Magni, Modi, and Thrud to come to Alfheim. He showed them the shrine he saw and the revelation that it held.
"Is this true." Freya said as she saw the images that appeared before them. "Ragnarök will only destroy Asgard?"
"It appears so." Sif said as she saw images of Surtr, and his wife Sinmara come together to form a titanic creature that burned Asgard to cinders. "If Odin knew about this who could try to destroy the other realms to keep Asgard safe."
"Then you know what you must do." Roland said to the Vanir and Aesir gods before him.
"Me and my children can secretly tell the other Aesir about this." Sif said. "The only ones who won't know will be Odin, Heimdall, Hodur, Hrist, Mist, and Gna."
"And once Ragnarök comes you can secretly transport your people to Vanaheim." Freya said next. "And if possible, can you try to…"
"I can try to bring Baldur, but I must remind you lady Freya that he may not let go of his grudge against you." Sif advised. "Your daughter-in-law and grandson have already tried to convince him."
"It doesn't hurt to try, after all he is still my boy." Freya said as a single tear left her eye.
Roland saw the scene unfold before him but said nothing as he felt that there was nothing else for him to contribute. With a simple thought a Todash portal opened before him, and he entered it.

Another end to another story of mine and a sequel hook with Jim receiving the fake Gem of Destruction. I am going to write that story but that will come after the one I write next. The one I'm writing next is called GrimmFall: Living Time. As to what it is, you'll just have to wait and see.
