It was almost 7 p.m. on April 3, approaching the last day of spring break for Advanced Nurturing High School's first year students.
Karuizawa Kei was walking alone towards the theater building that had been provided, a moment ago she and all the first year students were shocked by a message sent by the school to each of their cell phones.
The message stated that all first-year students were required to attend the theater at 7 p.m.
Of course it caused quite a stir among the students. Given their experience of the past year, the message sent by the school at an unexpected time was not a good thing.
They thought about the possibility that this was some other special exam or something.
There are various kinds of reactions experienced by students. Some are anxious, afraid, excited, happy, and some are irritated.
Karuizawa was one of the students who was irritated to hear this message. She's been in a bad mood lately, it started when she saw Ayanokouji Kiyotaka alone with a girl named Shiina Hiyori.
She knew that Ayanokouji was free with whoever he hung out with, but when she found out the boy she liked was alone with another girl, she became jealous.
Her thoughts stopped when she was in front of the theater building. She sighed and shook her head to shake off her irritation. After a while, she opened the door and went inside.
Inside the room she saw that almost all the students had already arrived. The room was similar to an ordinary theater room, only much wider, the seats reached 170 which was enough to accommodate 4 classes.
Karuizawa also saw that the class leaders had arrived, such as Sakayanagi and Ichinose who were surrounded by their class members.
As for the D class leader who will become C class back in the second year, Ryuuen doesn't even hide the fact that he's back to being the ruler of his class, he casually sits down and sticks his feet into the chair below him. The people sitting on the right and left are Ishizaki and Albert, Ibuki is sitting beside Ishizaki. That alone proved that Ryuuen was back.
For class C, Hirata and Kushida have come, but Horikita hasn't. There's still time before 7 o'clock, maybe Horikita will come in a bit.
"Karuizawa-san!"
A girl's voice caught her attention, she turned to the source of the sound and saw several girls approaching her. They were the girls in her group.
"Hello everyone. Sorry I'm late," she said as the girls approached.
"It's fine, Karuizawa-san. By the way, do you know why we were sent here?"
"Honestly, I don't know either. I'm just as confused as you," Karuizawa replied.
"C-Could it be another special exam?" another girl said nervously.
"Isn't that unreasonable!? In a few days we will enter the second school year, you know?" replied the other girl.
They all then discussed the possibility of what made them all sent to this theater building.
"What do you think, Karuizawa-san?" asked a girl in her group.
"I still don't know, but could this be an orientation? You know, like the introduction of our activities in the second year?"
"That could be."
Neither of them knew the reason they were summoned here, that probably also applies to all the students in the room.
Their discussion was cut short when a surprised voice caught their attention, Karuizawa and her group turned to the source of the sound and found the culprit was Sudou Ken.
Sudou didn't notice the commotion he was making, his attention was now on a girl who had just entered the room. That girl is Horikita Suzune.
Sudou's surprise is natural since he's seen Horikita have long hair all this time, but now she had cut her hair short so that she caught the attention of the whole room.
"S-Suzune, you… what happened to you?" asked Sudou in a panic.
"What do you mean by what happened to me?" Horikita replied to Sudou's question with a question, she didn't understand why he was panicking so much.
Before Sudou could reply, a girl who was as surprised as Sudou approached them.
"Horikita-san, you cut your hair!? I was really surprised," said Kushida Kikyou.
"Is it weird changing my hairstyle?"
"Well, that-"
"Ku ku ku, the interesting changes you made there."
Ryuuen Kakeru approached them with his entourage behind him, cutting off Kushida's words. He was grinning as usual, his eyes amused at Horikita's new style.
"Ryueen…" Sudou muttered warily.
"What do you want, Ryuuen-kun?" Horikita asked while crossing her arms.
"Well, nothing, I'm just interested. What's the matter, are you heartbroken or something?"
"It has nothing to do with you. Go away!" Sudou snapped.
"Isn't that the same with you? Ah, I forgot that you're Suzune's lap dog," Ryuuen said, trying to provoke Sudou.
"You!" growled Sudou, he clenched his fists tightly, but he didn't go to attack Ryuuen. If Sudou had been him one year ago, he would have directly attacked Ryuuen. It proved Sudou's self-improvement which was rapidly increasing.
"Not attacking? Looks like you have tamed him, Suzune."
"…!"
"Relax, Sudou-kun. Don't be fooled by cheap provocations like that," said Horikita, before Sudou's patience ran out. She then turned to Ryuuen. "And to answer your question, you could say it is my determination to be strong."
The real reason Horikita cut her hair was because she had let go of her past of always following her brother and turned to try to find her own way, also she started a good relationship with her older brother Horikita Manabu who just graduated.
"Hoo. Looks like dropping back to class D doesn't break you," Ryuuen said.
"Of course. Even though our class has dropped doesn't mean we're weak," Horikita said firmly, making several of her classmates widen their eyes.
"Ku ku, interesting."
"Putting aside about me, you seem more alive than the last time I saw you," said Horikita. She had been wary of Ryuuen ever since his enduring the In-Class Voting special exam, and suspected that Ryuuen wasn't finished yet. Her suspicions were right when Ryuuen won against class B in the year-end exam.
"Ha, I always look alive," Ryuuen argued.
"Last time you said you had no more purpose in going to school here," Horikita said, her tone demanding the truth. "What brought you back?"
Ryuuen looked deeply into Horikita's eyes, he felt that there was a big change in Horikita, as if she had found her own way. Maybe that's why she cut her hair. Therefore, Ryuuen gave an honest answer.
"You could say I've found a more interesting destination in this school," Ryuuen said, then he turned and left. He had rediscovered his goal of continuing to survive in this school, which led him to return and become the class leader. His only goal is to hold a rematch with a student named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka.
"Hah? What do you mean?" asked a surprised Horikita when Ryuuen answered honestly.
"Let's enjoy our second year, Suzune." With that farewell, Ryuuen and his party returned to their seats.
"Come and go as he pleases, that bastard really is an asshole.." Sudou grumbled.
"Don't think about it, let's better sit down. It's almost time," Horikita said.
"Horikita-saaan!"
Just as Horikita was about to make a move, someone called out to her. This time it was Ichinose Honami who approached her.
"What is it, Ichinose-san?" Horikita asked.
"Well, nothing. It is just…. Well, I really didn't expect you to cut your hair," Ichinose replies.
"I asked this earlier, but is it really that weird if I cut my hair?" Horikita asked with a sigh.
"No, nothing strange. But I don't think you're that kind of person before. Right, Kushida-san?"
"Eh? A-Ah yeah," said Kushida who had been pondering in surprise at Ichinose's question.
Horikita who heard Ichinose's words found something she didn't like about Ichinose's words.
"Ichinose-san, what do you mean by 'not that kind of person'? Are you saying I'm not one to pay attention to her appearance?" Horikita asked sharply.
"Eh?"
Ichinose's body stiffened, she felt like she had just stepped on a minefield. Then she realized her mistake from her words earlier.
"Aaah, n-no, that's not what I meant. What I meant was that….well….th-that…" Whatever Ichinose wanted to say caught in her throat, she frantically apologized to Horikita. "Forgive me!"
Horikita just closed her eyes and sighed. Actually she knew what Ichinose meant, her serious and stern demeanor might make people think that she wasn't someone who thought about something like beauty treatments. So she understood why Ichinose said that.
"Never mind forget it. I don't really blame that much," Horikita said. "Since childhood, I liked short hair more than long hair. Since my hair was already long before, so I thought about cutting it."
"I see, it looks like it suits you," said Ichinose with a smile.
"Thank you," Horikita replied.
"I see. Then… I think I'll try to grow my hair out," Kushida muttered quietly, but Horikita could hear it.
Even though Kushida said that in an innocent tone. But Horikita knew what Kushida's true intentions were.
Kushida Kikyou hated her. That's because Horikita used to go to the same school as Kushida, where Kushida used to have a very serious incident in middle school. Kushida hated Horikita for knowing about the incident, even though it was just a one-sided claim from Kushida but Horikita could no longer use that excuse, because Kushida had already told her and Ayanokouji the full details of her past. Making the two of them the absolute target of Kushida's hatred.
Horikita gave a sour expression, she wondered what other way she had to do to earn Kushida's trust. It's not like she wants to be friends with her or anything, but it really isn't nice to have a classmate who has such deep hatred for you. She couldn't even have a calm discussion in class about the special exam without risking being betrayed.
She shook her head, driving away the thought of Kushida. She then turned to Ichinose, she could see a big difference between the Ichinose she saw a few days ago and the current Ichinose.
"Hmm? What's wrong, Horikita-san?" Ichinose asked who sensed Horikita's gaze.
"Nothing, it's just that you look a lot more cheerful than the last time we met."
"Ah, that… ha ha, how should I put it. Well, I got some help," said Ichinose shyly.
"I see. It's good that you're back to normal, but you still remember what we talked about back then?"
A few days ago Ichinose and Horikita had a meeting to discuss about their class relationship, Horikita took the decision to break their cooperative relationship, which Ichinose accepted. But at that time Ichinose was in a depressed state after losing to Ryuuen, so Horikita didn't know whether what Ichinose said was serious or not, so now she asks again to confirm Ichinose's decision.
"I understand, Horikita-san. And I accept your decision to cut off our relationship. My friends and I will continue to advance and achieve class A together, even if we have to fight Sakayanagi-san, Ryuuen-kun, and you," Ichinose said seriously, this time there was firmness in her words.
Horikita watched Ichinose slightly surprised at her determination, then her expression returned to normal.
"I see, it looks like you've really made up your mind. Then, I look forward to the day we will fight," Horikita said.
"Me too," Ichinose replied.
After that exchange, they dispersed and took their respective seats. The time showed five minutes to 7, the students had filled the theater room.
After a while, 4 adults entered the room, they were the homeroom teachers of the students in the room. They were Mashima-sensei, Hoshinomiya-sensei, Sakagami-sensei, and Chabashira-sensei.
The students expected that whatever brought them here would be explained by the teachers, but they didn't expect that they would see the shocked face of their homeroom teacher.
"All of you, what are you doing here?" Mashima asked.
Mashima's question caused confusion among the students. They thought that the teachers knew the reason they were summoned here, but from Mashima's question, it seemed like the teachers didn't know.
"Um, sensei? Didn't the school send us here?" Ichinose asked.
"School? No, it shouldn't. During spring break, you don't have any schedule until the school year starts," Mashima replied.
"What!? Then what is the meaning of this message sensei?" shouted Ike in disbelief.
Mashima then asked Ike to show the contents of the message they got, Ike gave his cellphone to Mashima and Mashima checked it, after a while he also showed the contents of the message to another teacher.
"There is no mistake, this is indeed a message from the school," said Sakagami.
"But why didn't they tell us? As long as it concerns the students, it should be coordinated with the homeroom teacher," said Hoshinomiya.
It's true, whatever concerns the students such as special exams or other announcements, the school must coordinate with the teachers first.
"Mashima…" Chabashira said looking at Mashima.
Mashima looked back at Chabashira, he knew the meaning of that look and he was also thinking the same thing as Chabashira.
It was possible that Acting Director Tsukishiro was involved in this.
A few days ago, he had been informed that Acting Director Tsukishiro had directly intervened to interfere with the final year exams, which caused a huge loss to Chabashira's class.
While the teachers were discussing, a student approached them. It was Sakayanagi.
"Sorry to interrupt your discussion, sensei. But I want to ask you something, if the teachers weren't informed of the message we got, then why did you come here?" Sakayanagi spoke up.
"The same way as all of you, we also got a message that said there would be a meeting being held here," answered Mashima.
"So the school gathered us here, but for a different reason. What are their goals?" mused Sakayanagi.
Even though Mashima suspected Tsukishiro, there was one thing that made him doubtful, why do this in such a flashy and twisted manner? He could have used ordinary means like special exams.
Such thoughts confused him so much that he could not immediately conclude that this was Tsukishiro's doing.
While they were discussing, the clock finally hit 7pm and that's when something happened.
The light that lit up the room suddenly went out, but it was only for a moment because after that the lights lit up the room again. But that was enough to make a fuss. Some students were panicked and scared, but some were relaxed as if nothing had happened.
"Everyone, calm down," Mashima said in a loud voice, silencing the crowd. "I'll try to contact the school about all this."
Mashima then took out his cell phone and called the school, but no matter how many times he called, it was never connected.
"Not connected," said Mashima.
"Mashima, the door is also locked!" said Sakagami who was trying to open the entrance.
"What!? No way!" Hoshinomiya shouted, then she tried to open the door herself and as Sakagami said, it couldn't be opened.
Sakagami tried to break down but the door didn't budge at all.
"Mashima…" Chabashira called out in a worried tone.
"What happened…" Mashima muttered.
Panic began to reach the teachers, making the students in the room start to be filled with worry.
But before the panic exploded, a voice came from the speakers in the theater building.
"Hey, Hey! Hello everyone!
A cheerful voice came out of the speaker, heard from the voice it seemed that the owner was a female.
Everyone couldn't help but feel suspicious at this cheerful voice. They had experienced mysterious events in a very short time. A mysterious message was sent to students and teachers, locked in the theater room, and now a mysterious voice is coming out of nowhere.
"Hmm? What's with this tense atmosphere?" The voice asked, not feeling the vigilance of the occupants of the room.
Mashima decided to come forward, representing everyone. He then looked at the speaker because he didn't know where to look when the other person wasn't around.
"I'm sorry, but who are you? Was it you who sent us that message?" Mashima said. He deduced that the mysterious message they received was from someone who possessed this voice.
"As expected of Mashima-sensei, take the immediate initiative to make a move," the voice replied.
"As far as the safety of my students is concerned, I will do anything," Mashima said without hesitation. Many students were amazed after hearing him say that.
"How honourable. To answer your question, yes, I was the one who sent the message and gathered you here."
"What for? And who are you really?"
"Hmm, I guess we should start with introductions. Have you ever thought that your daily life, where you study, shop, exercise, and other things is being watched by someone? Like a martial master watching his students train?"
"Hah!? You mean like a supervisor?" asked Sudou who decided to ask.
"Yep, like that. I am the entity whose role is to oversee every living being, an Overseer. You can call me Eve."
The answer was given but no one reacted, they all froze when they heard the absurd answer of the person who called herself Eve.
"Oversee of every life? Overseer? What nonsense are you talking about, this isn't a fantasy!" shouted Ishizaki after a moment of silence.
"And that fantasy is now a reality."
"…"
They fell silent again. They were all wary of Eve's direct answer, because it didn't make any sense to them.
But that's not to say they all took it as a bullshit, there were some sharp-minded people who found the truth in Eve's words. Sakayanagi, Ryuuen, Horikita, and Kouenji could conclude that what Eve said was the truth.
But even so, they still need proof.
"Alright then, Eve-san. You're saying that you are an entity that oversees every living being's life, by the word entity does that mean you're not human?" said Sakayanagi, trying to extract information and evidence from Eve's words.
"That's right, I'm not human. I am an entity that is higher than humans," Eve replied.
"Hoo, so you're saying there are still entities higher than perfect humans like myself. Interesting. And how do you keep an eye on these living beings?" said Kouenji. He knew that Sakayanagi was trying to extract information and he had no intention of doing anything, but that all changed when he heard that Eve was an entity higher than humans.
"Of course with my power."
"And what do you mean by your power? Are you saying it's a supernatural power or something, because it doesn't make any sense," Horikita said. She tries to take the opportunity that Sakayanagi and Kouenji have created, by forcing Eve to show evidence.
"Hmm, I've sent you a message via school email that an outsider shouldn't be able to do, and now you're locked up and can't get out. Does that still not convince you?"
"Ku ku, a hacker could hack into the school's data and use the school's email to message us, and you might have someone block it from the outside door. Your evidence is still unconvincing," Ryuuen said, becoming the last executioner.
Many had no idea what was going on, but some people could feel the tension.
What's with this sudden combination!? They managed to corner that person in an instant. Thought Matsushita who was observing their conversation.
Oi oi, if they were in the same class and worked together, no one would be able to beat them. Hashimoto thought.
Eve certainly wasn't a fool. She knew that the four of them already knew that her words were the truth, so they cornered her so that she would provide solid evidence to gain the others' beliefs.
"Fu fu, what a terrible combination. All right, if you want proof, then I'll show you. I'll show you that what you think is fantasy is reality."
After that silence ensued, they could feel the change in the air around them. Then the room shook, sending the occupants into a state of panic.
"W-What happened!?" shouted Ike in a panic.
"I-I don't know," said Sudou who couldn't contain his surprise.
Seeing his classmates panicked and worried, Hirata decided to intervene.
"Everyone, stay calm. This is probably what Eve-san meant earlier," said Hirata.
After hearing Hirata's words, some people started to calm themselves and thought that Hirata's words had some truth. This was probably Eve's way of showing her strength.
Then like a cube that had all sides disassembled, the walls and ceiling of the room changed and became a scene they would never have imagined.
A boundless sea of clouds stretched below them and a pure blue sky above them. They were all speechless because in their entire life they had never experienced such an extraordinary event.
Ike approached cautiously against the now transformed wall, a cool breeze wafting over him as he approached.
"O-Oi, Kanji," called Sudou.
"Th-This can't be real, right? Yes, this must be a projection," Ike assured himself. Then he leaned his hand against what was supposed to be the wall, only to not touch anything. Because his balance point had been shaken, Ike plunged freely into the sea of clouds below him.
"A-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Ike's terrified scream took everyone by surprise, especially when they saw Ike fall down.
"KANJI!"
"IKE!"
Sudou and Shinohara shouted at the same time, they then rushed to where Ike fell.
"Don't move! Stop! You two can fall too," Mashima shouted, stopping the two of them.
"But, Ike…!" shouted Shinohara anxiously.
Their anxiety did not last long, because not long after that Ike appeared in front of them. His body froze in midair, motionless. Then Ike's body floated slowly and landed near Sudou and Shinohara. When he lands, only then can he move.
"Hah… hah… I-I thought I was going to die just now," Ike said shakily, sweat dripping from his face.
"You're an idiot!" Shinohara shouted while hitting Ike's head.
"Ouch, hey that hurts-" Ike shouted, but he stopped when he saw Shinohara's face that was almost crying.
"What are you doing!? You could have died earlier!" Shinohara shouted.
"I-I'm sorry," Ike apologized weakly.
Everyone watched the scene in silence and was speechless. Sudou breathed a sigh of relief knowing his friend was fine.
"Please be careful next time, because once you fall down you can't come back," said Eve's voice that echoed around them.
Then after that the room returned to normal, the usual theater room.
"Now. Do you all believe me?" Eve asked.
No one now refutes Eve's words, the incident just now has proven her words. Mashima came forward on behalf of everyone.
"A-Alright, we believe. So please don't hurt the students anymore," Mashima said nervously.
"…"
Eve fell silent hearing Mashima's words, she didn't mean to hurt anyone at all. But it seemed that the incident earlier had a big impact on them.
"I'm sorry, it seems that the previous one was too strong for you guys. Honestly, I didn't mean to hurt you at all when I brought you here," Eve said.
"Ignore their sentiments, quickly tell us why you brought us here," said Ryuuen who was not at all affected by anything that happened.
"Fu fu, as expected of you, Ryuuen-kun. You're always not afraid of anything, right? Well, not all of it."
Ryuuen's brows twitched at those last words, he was without a doubt certain that this being who called herself an Overseer knew of his defeat to Ayanokouji.
"Well, the reason I brought you all here is because I wanted you to do something for me."
"And if we refuse?" Horikita asked.
"You will be cooped up here until you all agree."
A commotion erupted upon hearing those words.
"What!? Isn't that too selfish? You brought us here by force and you want us to do something for you!? What are you doing all that for!?" shouted Karuizawa angrily, many people agreed with her words because what Eve said was so selfish.
"Hm, if you ask like that, then the answer is I'm bored."
"Hah!?" Karuizawa was flabbergasted, as were the other students.
"I'm bored, you know. There was nothing else I could do but watch your lives, so I got bored and tried something else to overcome my boredom. Ah but I'm not neglecting my duty, okay?"
Almost everyone couldn't believe what they heard. A mysterious entity brought them forcefully into this room and forced them to do something for her because she was bored.
An uproar ensued among the students, many of whom were angry and resentful of Eve. They had completely forgotten that just a moment ago they were frightened when she displayed her power.
"No kidding!"
"Who do you think you are!"
"Send us back!"
The students shouted showing their annoyance. If it continues like this, the situation will only get worse.
"We-"
TAK!
Before the protest continued, a loud thud echoed through the room and silenced everyone.
The culprit was Hashimoto who used Sakayanagi's stick and stomped the stick against the wooden floor. He then gave the stick back to Sakayanagi who looked like she had run out of patience.
"Can all of you just stop having this ridiculous conversation and get to the point? This is a complete waste of time," said Sakayanagi in a firm tone.
Sakayanagi knew that Eve would not grant their wish because Eve wanted to relieve her boredom. A person's strong will cannot change. Sakayanagi knew that very well, because she had also experienced the same thing as Eve.
She used to have a wish, a very strong wish and she would destroy anyone who stood in her way.
Her wish was a fight with a student named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka, and a few weeks ago her wish was granted and she was very satisfied with the result.
None of them could reply to Sakayanagi's words, even though on the outside she was just a weak, flawed girl, but the intimidating aura she gave off was not that of an ordinary girl.
She was Sakayanagi Arisu, the leader of Class A. She was the one who stood at the top level for the first year.
Ryuuen was amused to see those silent people, to him they were just weak people who knew only whining. Horikita just sighed and crossed her arms, she personally agreed with Sakayanagi. Ichinose remains silent with her friends, she decides to believe Eve's words that she won't hurt them.
"Eve-san, can you tell us what you want from us?" asked Sakayanagi.
"It's simple, we are in the theater room. What else should we do?" Eve said.
"You mean we watch?" Ibuki asked, somehow she felt a little excited.
"Yep. I want you to watch what I'm about to present to you."
"What are you going to show? Is it a Movie?" Ishizaki asked who was not very interested.
"Fu fu. No, it's not going to be a Movie, a documentary, or the like. What I'm about to broadcast is something that's very interesting even for Sakayanagi-chan and Ryuuen-kun."
"Oh!?" said Sakayanagi slightly surprised.
"Hoo, I hope your words aren't mere nonsense," Ryuuen said.
"Of course. So... Do you agree?" Eve asked everyone.
"Class D agrees," Ryuuen said without thinking about the approval of his classmates.
"Class A also agrees," said Sakayanagi following.
Now only Class B and C are left. Ichinose looks at her friends for discussion, after a while they finally make up their mind.
"Class B agrees," said Ichinose.
As for class C, everyone subconsciously looked towards Horikita. Horikita who sensed their gazes then turned to Hirata.
"What do you think, Hirata-kun?" Horikita asked.
"I think we should agree, since we've lost the vote now. And personally I'm also interested in what will be broadcast," said Hirata.
"I think so," Horikita said, then she made up her mind, "Alright, class C agrees."
"Very well. Now what about the teachers?" Eve asked the homeroom teachers who had been silent for a long time.
Mashima looked at the other teachers, seeing there was no other way out of here so they too made up their mind.
"Alright, we agree too," said Mashima.
"It has been decided! Now please sit in the space provided."
Those who were still standing went to their respective seats according to their class. Karuizawa and her group went to where class C sat, they talked to each other about what would be broadcast.
"What do you think will be broadcast?" said one of the girls.
"I don't know, but Eve-san thinks it's something interesting even for Sakayanagi-san and Ryuuen-kun," replied another girl.
"I can't imagine what they would be interested in."
"Me too. What do you think, Karuizawa-san?"
"Eh? A-Ah I don't know either, ha ha."
Karuizawa, who had been silent all this time, was taken aback by her friends' questions, causing her to stutter in response. Her mind wasn't focused at the moment, for some reason she had a bad feeling when she heard Eve's words about what the Overseer was about to broadcast. But above all there was one thing she was worried about.
Where is that idiot!? Where's Kiyotaka!? I haven't seen it at all since then! Karuizawa shouted in her mind. She had checked everyone since she entered this room, but she couldn't find Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's whereabouts at all.
Apparently, Karuizawa wasn't the only one who noticed that Ayanokouji wasn't around. In the back row, Ayanokouji's group was also worried about the same thing.
"Hey, hasn't anyone seen Kiyopon?" Asked a worried Hasebe.
"No, I've been watching all the students earlier but I didn't see them," Miyake replied, because they weren't seated yet so he could see everyone.
"Could it be that he still hasn't come?" Sakura asked.
"That's not possible. Eve said 'everything' has arrived, so there's no way Kiyotaka isn't around, unless he doesn't get the message," said Yukimura, all of whom thought Yukimura's words made sense.
"Gosh, where the hell is he?" Hasebe said crossing her arms.
"I'm here."
"Hwa!"
"Hya!"
Hasebe and Sakura both screamed when they heard a voice from behind them. They all immediately turned to the source of the sound and saw Ayanokouji standing behind them.
"Why are you guys?" Ayanokouji asked, confused by their reaction.
"K-Kiyotaka-kun!?" Sakura stammered.
"K-K-Kiyopon!? Y-You…. What are you doing that for!? I almost had a heart attack earlier!" shouted Hasebe in annoyance.
"That's right, Kiyotaka. Gosh, I almost screamed earlier too," Akito said with a sigh.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to do it," Ayanokouji said apologetically.
It took a while, but they finally calmed down from Ayanokouji's surprise earlier.
"Still Kiyotaka, where have you been? I haven't seen you at all before," said Yukimura.
"Oh, about that. You see the corridor over there, I was a little interested so I went exploring for a bit," said Ayanokouji while pointing to a corridor.
This room is similar to an ordinary theater room, only much wider and has a lot of capacity. The first seat is at the bottom and the last seat is at the top. And behind the last seat, right in the middle in front of the stairs where people walk to get their seats. There is a wide corridor.
"You went exploring? It's dangerous Kiyopon! What if something happened to you!?" Hasebe asked.
"Haruka-chan's right, Kiyotaka-kun," Sakura said worriedly.
"I'm fine, I won't do anything reckless. I don't want to end up like Ike," Ayanokouji said.
They all automatically looked at Ike who was currently talking to Sudou casually, it seemed he had recovered from the previous events.
"What's it like there?" Yukimura asked. The point of the question was what the corridor looked like, Ayanokouji understood that.
"Similar to a normal corridor, along the corridor there are 2 doors on the left and right. At the end of the corridor there are 4 elevators, judging from the floor buttons on the elevator, it seems that where we are now has 13 floors. Then to the right of the elevator, there's an automatic door but it's locked so I don't know where it leads. But what interests me is the door in the corridor," explained Ayanokouji.
"Why is that?" Miyake asked.
"In each of the doors in the corridor, there is a nameplate for the door room, the nameplate reads 'Class A Meeting Room'. I also saw that other signage also had the same name, only the class names were different. B, C, and D."
"I see. I think whatever Eve is going to show will allow us to discuss each other," said Yukimura while touching his chin.
"I think so too," said Ayanokouji.
It made them wonder what Eve was going to show, but that was a question that would be answered later so they ended the discussion.
"Well, the important thing is that you are here now, Kiyopon. With this our group is complete," Hasebe said, setting aside the complicated things in her mind.
"Then let's sit down, we've wasted too much time," said Yukimura.
That way a group of five people sat at the back of the C class row.
Karuizawa who saw their conversation earlier heaved a sigh of relief. When she heard Ayanokouji's name earlier, she quickly turned her head to look behind her. Almost broke her neck.
But now her anxiety was gone so now she could hang out with her friends in peace.
"Now, before we start there are a few things I have to tell you," Eve said when she saw everyone was ready.
"What is it?" Mashima asked.
"The first is that what I will be broadcasting is very much and it will take a lot of time for you to watch it all. That means you'll be here for days."
"WHAT!?" shouted the surprised students.
"Wait, days? We can't do that, the new school year is about to start. It will be dangerous for the students when they can't attend the first day," Mashima said.
It is true. The students in this room will be starting their second year of school in 3 or 4 days, if they all don't attend the first day of school, it will definitely cause a stir in the school and a massive investigation will begin.
"About that there's no problem, I already have a solution," Eve said in response to Mashima's concern.
"What's that?" Mashima asked.
"When you get out of here and go back to your normal lives, you only spend a minute out there. In other words, it doesn't matter how much time you spend here, you'll be back at 7.01 pm on April 3rd. And don't worry about your lifespan, it won't move for a second."
Eve's long explanation left everyone speechless. They were too shocked to find out the fact that no matter how much time they spent here, only 1 minute passed in their world.
"I-Is that something that can be done with supernatural powers?" stammered Shibata asked.
"Yep. Supernatural powers have an unlimited number, this is one of them. You already know about that right, Sotomura-kun?"
The silent Sotomura was surprised when his name was mentioned, "R-Right. I do know a lot about supernatural powers from the anime I watch, it's just that I don't know that those powers are real."
"Fu fu. I hope you guys aren't surprised anymore when I do something. Now let's move on to your second notice, which is your needs."
"Our needs?" said one of the class B students.
"Yes, your need to eat, drink and sleep. I did stop your lifespan for a while but not with your needs."
"H-How do we deal with it?" Ike asked nervously. For some reason, since what happened earlier, he's been a bit docile. Usually he will panic and immediately make a fuss. Maybe that incident made him like that.
"There's no need to worry about that matter. I'll explain it to you guys when tonight's session ends. Now let's move on to the final notice, which is about what I'm going to broadcast."
Everyone listened intently, previously they had discussed what Eve would be showing, but neither of them could draw any conclusions.
"What I will show is…. The life you've lived this past year while attending Advanced Nurturing High School."
For the umpteenth time, silence ensued. No one was able to speak. They were all too shocked to hear what Eve had to say, neither of them could have predicted that they would witness their own lives.
"Our… life?" said Hirata slowly.
"To be more precise, you will look back on events that happened during your first year, such as island exams, cruises, sports festivals, and so on."
"For what? Don't we already know the result?" Ishizaki said. Some of the students agreed with Ishizaki, they already knew the result of what Eve had mentioned earlier. So they feel no need to look at it again because it will just be a waste of time.
"Yes, you already know the result, but do you know the process? What happened during the exam?"
They couldn't answer. It's true what Eve said, they know the result but not the process.
"Also, this is good for you guys. This show can help improve yourself, for example, if you make a wrong decision during an exam, you can learn from your past self to become better."
Eve's words started to make sense to them, especially since it could make them make better decisions about their past mistakes.
But even though there are those who are excited, there are also those who feel dissatisfied. Ryuuen is one of them.
"Wait, I don't care what you say about getting better, what's more important is that I don't see what's interesting about this show at all," Ryuuen said.
"Fu fu, calm down. I'll get into that part. Since there are so many of you, it is impossible to watch it all at once, so I will make this video from one person's point of view only. Well, as for the point of view of the person we are going to watch I leave it to you guys to choose."
"Hah!? Why do we have to choose?" Ibuki asked crossing her arms.
"Yeah, why not just chosen at random? Girls will want a popular guy if we decide," said Ishizaki.
The girls sent sharp eyes at Ishizaki, but they didn't deny that the popular guy would be their pick.
"Well, I can do it randomly. But what if the chosen one turns out to be a pervert? Do you want to watch it?"
"What!? Of course not! That's disgusting," Shinohara shouted, representing all the girls' feelings.
"Ha ha, don't worry, the selection will be made by the class representative after discussion with your classmates. And now what you are waiting for Ryuuen-kun, you are free to choose whoever is in this room. Maybe someone caught your eye? It's okay to choose that person. There will be no problems, everything is allowed."
Some people are displeased to hear that their daily life is allowed to be seen without their consent. But Ryuuen didn't care about those people. He focused on Eve's words, there was some emphasis on her words that made him squint. He thought for a moment, before long he widened his eyes.
"Ku ku ku… ku ku ha ha ha ha ha!" Ryueen laughed loudly as he concluded Eve's words.
Everyone was silent when they heard Ryuuen's laugh that was so loose, no one knew why the D class leader was laughing.
"R-Ryuuen-san…?" said Ishizaki in surprise.
"Hey, what's wrong with you, Ryuuen?" Ibuki asked. She knew that Ryuuen laughing wasn't a good thing.
Not just Ryuuen, but there was one more student who had the same fun as him.
"Fu fu fu…" a muffled chuckle rang out. Sakayanagi Arisu covered her mouth with her hand as she concluded Eve's words, so happy that her body trembled.
W-What's with this girl? thought Kamuro who frowned her expression. She had the same hunch as Ibuki, she knew that the pleasure this sadistic little girl had was not something good.
"H-Hey, princess..? What's wrong with you?" asked Hashimoto. He had absolutely no idea why these two famous class leaders were laughing, but he knew that it had something to do with what Eve had said.
"Ku ku. I see. So that's what you mean, now I'm really interested," Ryueen said with his biggest grin.
"Fu fu. It's very interesting indeed," said Sakayanagi following with a smile.
Almost everyone couldn't keep up with what was going on, neither of them knew why Ryuuen and Sakayanagi were so interested in watching.
"I knew you would be interested. Now discuss among your classmates, I'll be waiting."
"No need. I've already decided," Ryuuen said. It took everyone by surprise when they started discussing.
"Fu fu. So hasty, isn't it Ryuuen-kun?" said Sakayanagi amused.
"Ha, there's no need for pointless discussions when I already know what to do. And what about you, you seem to have made up your mind as well," Ryuuen said.
"Of course, I agree with you," replied Sakayanagi.
Ryuuen's group that had been silent for a while finally released from their shock, Ibuki immediately snapped at Ryuuen.
"Hey, Ryuuen! Are you serious without discussion first? This could be our chance to uncover the secrets of another class," Ibuki said.
Ibuki's words made sense. If they used this opportunity to see the point of view of the important people in the enemy class then it would be to their advantage. But Ryuuen was only amused by Ibuki's words.
"Ku ku. You don't understand? That's exactly what I'm doing now," Ryuuen said.
"Hah? What do you mean-… Wait, don't tell me you're going to choose 'him'?"
Ryuuen didn't reply, but his grin grew wider.
"Him? You mean 'him'? Ohhhh, I'm excited now!" Ishizaki shouted when he knew what Ryuuen meant. Albert nodded several times, expressing his feelings just like Ishizaki.
"Looks like class A and class D have already decided. Alright, please state the name of the person you want."
After Eve's announcement, everyone focused their attention on the two of them. Silence ensued, the name of the person being mentioned would most likely be everyone's spectacle.
Ryuuen and Sakayanagi opened their mouths simultaneously.
And the name they mentioned was…
"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka."
"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka-kun."
Everyone was silent, no one spoke as if time had frozen.
A name had been mentioned, and it was something they would never have imagined. Except for a few people.
Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. A class C student, many people don't know about him. All they knew was that he was a loner, not very good at studies and sports, there were also some people who thought he was a pervert. In short their impression of the student named Ayanokouji Kiyotaka was mediocre.
Now his name was mentioned by two people who were none other than the leaders of class A and D. They couldn't help but be surprised and wondered why they chose such an ordinary person.
But not everyone who does not understand the reason. There are some people who feel suspicious and connect certain dots from what they know.
Horikita is one of them. She had a sour expression on her face, all her suspicions about Ayanokouji finally confirmed.
Ayanokouji Kiyotaka does a lot behind the scenes that she doesn't even know about. The proof is Ryuuen and Sakayanagi's strong interest in choosing him over everyone.
Now Horikita has an internal conflict. On the one hand, she really wanted to see what Ayanokouji did, moreover she wanted to know how great Ayanokouji really was to be admired by her older brother, Horikita Manabu. But on the other hand she's a little troubled, Ayanokouji really doesn't like talking about his past, plus if Ayanokouji is chosen then the secrets of her class will be revealed a lot.
Horikita then looked back, where Ayanokouji and his friends were sitting. When she looked back, she was surprised by Ayanokouji who had looked at her first, as if he had been waiting for Horikita to look at him.
No words were spoken, the two of them just stared at each other trying to understand each other. Then Ayanokouji gave Horikita a small nod. Horikita's eyes widened when she saw that, it was a sign that Ayanokouji had allowed Horikita to say his name.
She wondered why Ayanokouji would allow it, but put the question aside. She knew Ayanokouji wasn't an idiot who let his life be watched by everyone for no particular reason, whatever reason Ayanokouji had, Horikita didn't really think about it. Since this might be her greatest chance to find out who Ayanokouji Kiyotaka really was, she wasn't going to waste that opportunity. With the decision made, Horikita hardened her expression.
Shortly after that everyone was released from their shock, of course the furore ensued.
"Wait, wait, wait, Ayanokouji!? Are you guys crazy or something, he's just a loner!" shouted Ike in surprise.
"That's right, he's just a mediocre person. There's nothing special about him," said Shinohara following Ike.
"You should have chosen Suzune, she is more important than Ayanokouji," shouted Sudou.
Complaints continued, many calling for their opposition to Sakayanagi and Ryuuen choosing Ayanokouji. But no matter how many people complained, the two class leaders ignored them.
"Fu fu, looks like you picked an interesting person, Ryuuen-kun," said Sakayanagi.
"Of course. I'd rather die than watch a boring person," Ryuuen retorted.
"Hah? What does it mean?" Shinohara asked, but she was ignored.
Everyone was getting more and more confused especially for class C who didn't understand when they heard their conversation, why a loner like Ayanokouji could attract their attention like this.
"Class A and D have already chosen Ayanokouji-kun, now only Class B and C are left," Eve said. Forcing everyone to come out of their confusion.
All of the C class students simultaneously looked at Horikita, as the leader of C class she was the one who would decide who would be chosen.
"Horikita-san, I think we should discuss this carefully," Hirata said to Horikita.
"Horikita, I think we should choose someone other than our class," said Yukimura from behind Horikita.
"Hah? Why is that, why not just choose Suzune?" asked a protesting Sudou.
"That's just your personal wish, isn't it? We can't choose Horikita after all. He's an important person in our class, other classes will definitely take that golden opportunity to their advantage," Yukimura explained.
"That… well, I guess you're right," said a relenting Sudou.
"But who should we choose?" Kushida asked.
Horikita remained silent while listening to her classmates discuss. To be honest she had already decided who to choose, and that might be going against her classmates, but she couldn't back down now that curiosity overtook her. This time she had to be selfish.
"No need to discuss, I already know who to choose," Horikita said.
"Hah? Are you serious?" asked a surprised Yukimura.
Horikita nodded before facing the speaker where Eve's voice came from.
"I will choose… Ayanokouji-kun."
"WHAT!" shouted almost everyone in class C.
It went without saying that quite a stir was bound to happen, even more so for Yukimura.
"What are you saying, Horikita! Didn't I just say that we have to choose someone outside our class, and why did you choose Kiyotaka!?" shouted an annoyed Yukimura.
"T-That's right Suzune, why did you choose Ayanokouji!?" said a slightly impatient Sudou.
Horikita turned to Yukimura with a guilty expression.
"I'm sorry, Yukimura-kun. This is completely my decision, if this has a bad impact on the class, I will take full responsibility," Horikita said. Her eyes showed a strong determination as she stared at Yukimura, overwhelming Yukimura.
"Why… Why did you come that far?" Yukimura asked weakly.
"For my own selfishness, there is something I really want to know, therefore I have to choose Ayanokouji-kun."
"Why did you choose Ayanokouji-kun?" Hirata asked.
"That… is probably something you should see for yourself."
No one could go against Horikita's wishes, seeing Horikita being serious made them not know what to do.
"Alright, if that's what you want, then I'll follow your wishes," said Sudou after seeing Horikita's decision.
"Are you serious, Ken?" Ike asked.
"Yeah…" Sudou replied uncertainly. Looks like he's still not happy with Horikita choosing Ayanokouji.
"Alright, class C has decided, now 3 votes for Ayanokouji-kun. How about class B? If you have other options then it will be considered," Eve asked. After confirming class C had made their choice.
"You mean even though Ayanokouji has got 3 votes, our votes still have some influence if we choose someone else?" Ask Kanzaki.
"Yep. Like that."
All the students of class B started to gather around Ichinose to discuss their options.
"Ichinose, I think we should choose Sakayanagi. If we want to go to class A, we have to choose Sakayanagi so we can see the strength of her class," said Kanzaki.
"I want us to choose Ryuuen, you know I'm very upset that he beat us in the previous exam. So I want to know all of Ryuuen's secrets, so that we don't go through the same thing as before," said Shibata.
"Don't you guys want to choose Horikita-san? Her class has the highest number of class points earned among all the classes, maybe we can find out the secret," said Amikura proposing another candidate.
While all of her friends were discussing, Ichinose had a troubled expression on her face. Just like Horikita, she had actually decided who she should choose.
She wanted to choose Ayanokouji Kiyotaka. She wanted to know more about Ayanokouji, there was something more to Ayanokouji than just a quiet and ordinary student.
The Ayanokouji she knew was much better than that, Ayanokouji understood a person's feelings as he showed when he advised Ichinose not to fake a relationship. And Ayanokouji also helps Ichinone when Ichinose is at her worst.
But she can't just choose Ayanokouji, that's because if she chooses Ayanokouji it means she will see the boy's privacy, which Ichinose considers disrespectful.
Confused about what she should do, Ichinose subconsciously looked at Ayanokouji. Ayanokouji who sensed Ichinose's gaze turned to her, then as if understanding what Ichinose was going through right now, Ayanokouji nodded his approval to Ichinose.
The moment Ichinose saw that, a strong urge made all her confusion disappear. It was as if the overcast clouds covering her head disappeared and were replaced by clear weather, all the doubts she had were no longer needed. When she saw Ayanokouji nod, she immediately made up her mind.
"Everyone," Ichinose said to her friends who were discussing, her friends stopped and looked at Ichinose, "I know I'm asking too much of you, but can you let me make up my mind?"
"Have you decided who to choose, Honami-chan?" Amikura asked. Ichinose nodded.
"That's Ayanokouji, isn't it?" asked Kanzaki who guessed very well, surprising Ichinose.
"Y-Yes," said Ichinose.
"Ayanokouji again? Can you tell us why you chose him?" Shibata asked who was very confused by everything that was happening.
"I don't know, but… somehow I have a strong feeling that we should choose Ayanokouji-kun," Ichinose replies. But it seems that the reason is still not enough to convince her friends.
"To be honest I also have the same hunch as you," said Kanzaki, surprising Ichinose and the others, "Ever since Sakayanagi and Ryuuen chose Ayanokouji, I felt that something must have happened that we didn't know about so they chose Ayanokouji. Honestly it makes me curious."
"Come to think of it you're right too, I feel weird about that too," said Shibata.
"So, uhm, we… choose Ayanokouji-kun, then?" Amikura asked.
"I think so. It's a shame that we can't take advantage of this opportunity to spy on the Sakayanagi class, but it can't be helped, we have to face this uncertain factor first," said Kanzaki with a sigh.
"Well, at least he's not in our class, so I guess it's fine," Shibata said.
Ichinose who was listening to their conversation was surprised to hear that.
"A-Are you sure?" she asked to be sure.
"It's your choice, isn't it? Honestly, it's rare for me to see you making your own choices seriously, so I'll follow you this time," Kanzaki said.
"Yeah, I agree too," Shibata said following.
Then all of her friends nodded, agreeing with Ichinose's decision. She was very grateful that she had such good friends.
"Everyone… thank you."
After class B's long discussion, Ichinose came forward to name the person she would choose.
"I… will choose Ayanokouji Kiyotaka-kun."
No one else felt surprised when Ichinose mentioned Ayanokouji's name, if anything it was just a light shock. Everyone was tired of being constantly surprised by the news they received.
"It's been decided then, the point of view of the person we will be watching is Ayanokouji Kiyotaka from class C. The show will start at 8, there is still half an hour before the show starts, please make yourselves comfortable."
After Eve's announcement, silence fell over the room. Everyone tried to make themselves comfortable as Eve said. But the shock of all the news they received earlier was still there.
"Even Ichinose chose Ayanokouji…" said Ike as he leaned back on the soft chair, before long he stood up and faced Ayanokouji, "Hey, Ayanokouji. What's going on here, why did they all choose you? This all makes no sense."
Everyone expressed their agreement with Ike and looked at Ayanokouji. They had absolutely no idea what was going on. They wondered why a quiet person like Ayanokouji was the center of attention this time.
"Th-That's right, Kiyopon. Can you explain what is going on?" Hasebe asked.
With a lot of attention being paid to her right now, Ayanokouji didn't say anything, he just leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes. Then a moment later he rose from his chair and stood.
"K-Kiyotaka-kun?" said Sakura who was nervous seeing Ayanokouji's sudden move.
Everyone was silent when Ayanokouji stood up, they were silent not because they thought Ayanokouji would explain something. But they fell silent because of the look in Ayanokouji's eyes on them.
That's not a look you can get from a loner. The gaze that Ayanokouji was giving them right now was cold, emotionless and full of darkness. All the questions they wanted to demand from Ayanokouji were stuck in their throats. No one dared to speak in front of those gazes.
But there were some people who weren't too affected because they had seen those eyes before. Hirata and Karuizawa had slightly troubled expressions and they averted their eyes. Ryueen only gave a small grin, although he had been crushed by that gaze before, but that wasn't his focus now because now he was more interested in what Ayanokouji was planning to fully expose himself to.
"Horikita," Ayanokouji said. Horikita looked at Ayanokouji, curious as to what she would say, but Ayanokouji didn't stop there, "Kei, Yousuke, Airi, Akito, Haruka, and Keisei. Follow me, there's something I want to talk to you about."
Those who were named stared at Ayanokouji with puzzled looks. Ayanokouji then faced another direction, to be more precise at another class.
"Ichinose and Hiyori, I want you to come too. And…" he paused for a moment before continuing, "Satou, Kushida, and Sudou. You too."
After saying that, Ayanokouji turned around and walked up to the corridor at the back of the theater room. But he stopped when he was in the row of teachers sitting at the back.
"I want you to come too, Chabashira-sensei."
After saying that, he continued walking down the hall and into the room called 'Class C Meeting Room'.
Silence ensued after Ayanokouji left, but it didn't last long as the room exploded instantly.
"The hell! What just happened," shouted a confused Ike.
"S-Suzune, do you know what happened," Sudou asked as he approached Horikita.
Horikita didn't answer and continued to look in the direction Ayanokouji disappeared. Her gaze was sharp when she remembered Ayanokouji's gaze, it was cold and full of darkness. She wondered what kind of life Ayanokouji lived.
Horikita sighed. She put the question aside and thought about it later.
Horikita started walking and headed to the room that Ayanokouji entered. Seeing Horikita leave, Sudou followed her with his friends.
Horikita who noticed that many uninvited people were following her turned around with a sharp glare.
"You stay," she said firmly.
"Oh come on, we want to know too," said Ike.
"Yeah, that's right," Miyamoto said and was approved by his friends.
Seeing that they weren't listening, Horikita used her last card.
"Sudou-kun, get rid of them," Horikita said. She then turned and left.
Hearing Horikita's order, Sudou turned around and faced Ike and his friends with a cruel grin.
"Sorry guys, but this is Suzune's order. Come back or you'll feel my fists," he threatened.
Seeing Sudou's threat, Ike and the others backed away in fear. Satisfied that his threat worked, Sudou turned around and followed Horikita.
Seeing Horikita leaving, the Ayanokouji Group got up and started to leave as well, along with Hirata and Kushida.
"Sorry everyone, I'm leaving for a while," Ichinose said to her friends.
"Be careful, Ichinose," said Kanzaki seriously. Ichinose nodded and left, on the way she was greeted by Shiina and they walked together.
Satou was flanked by her two friends, Matsushita and Shinohara. They asked what was going on with her.
"I-I swear, I have absolutely no idea what happened," said Satou nervously while being interrogated.
"Well, I guess we can ask later when you get back," Matsushita said with a sigh. She could confirm that Satou didn't know what was going on from her reaction, meaning that her direct source was Ayanokouji.
Matsushita's expectations of Ayanokouji shot up much higher than before. Previously, she had thought of Ayanokouji as someone like herself, someone who held back.
But now that she felt unsure about it, she felt that Ayanokouji was more than holding back and the words that Ayanokouji had told her this afternoon were just the result of her being manipulated by Ayanokouji.
She sighed, for now she didn't need to think about that. She could see everything when the show started.
"I think so," said Shinohara who agreed with Matsushita.
Satou heaved a sigh of relief that they weren't pressing her anymore, but when she looked down the corridor where Ayanokouji had left, she felt nervous.
Satou doesn't know why Ayanokouji called her, they haven't spoken since Christmas Eve. But when she thought about the stares that Ayanokouji gave everyone earlier, she steeled herself, she had to know what Ayanokouji wanted to tell her and the others.
"Alright, then I'll go first," said Satou after preparing herself.
"Yeah, be careful," said Shinohara. Satou nodded and left.
In Karuizawa's group, the girls were having a heated discussion. After Ayanokouji summoned Karuizawa, her friends had circled around to question her.
"Karuizawa-san, do you know what happened?"
"Why did he call you?"
"He also calls you by your first name."
"Yeah, I heard it too."
A lot of girls stormed her with questions, but Karuizawa herself remained silent. She froze and her gaze remained on where Ayanokouji was aiming.
Karuizawa had many questions in her head right now, such as why all the class leaders chose him, what he had done, and most importantly why Ayanokouji exposed their relationship so openly.
But all those questions stopped in her throat when she saw Ayanokouji's eyes. She knew those eyes very well, they were eyes that had intimidated her in the past. That cold gaze was the true embodiment of Ayanokouji Kiyotaka's true personality.
Seeing Ayanokouji like that, proved that something serious was going on. So, whatever questions Karuizawa wanted to ask could be saved for later. Now she had something she had to do.
"Sorry everyone, I guess I have to go first," Karuizawa said to her friends.
"Are you serious, Karuizawa-san?"
"Yeah, I'll be back later."
Without waiting for her friend's response, Karuizawa walked away towards where Ayanokouji was.
Not long after, Chabashira also followed after discussing with the other teachers.
With that, everyone that Ayanokouji had mentioned went to the meeting room.
Little did they know… that the meeting would be the biggest change in their lives.
