Oh, Flower of Death
PrologueIn a Schicksal facility dedicated to the Overseer's Projects lay a room with a tank with an adult woman her age looked to be about thirty at the oldest to twenty-six at the youngest the room was inhabited by researchers studying her for some reason that was unknown by the world and by her but she would soon discover her situation.
POV Cecilia
In Cecilia Schariac's mind she had a few questions: how was she here and was she in a tank as open her mouth for the first time in seemingly forever? Meanwhile, the scientists in the room reacted with shock at her awakening, noting that Cecila in her current state could understand them soon the tank she was in was filled with an unknown liquid and she was put to sleep.
This was the state of affairs for some time for Sckisal's former S rank Valkyrie she would wake up they would put her to sleep and rinse and repeat until she could not tell for how long it had been since first woke up the vat in the lab.
Cecilia eventually learned to pretend to still be asleep then she thought about what she believed were recent events the 2nd Honkai war and the Herrscher of the Void that poor little girl Sirin thought and all that happened to her she remembered the dream world that she and her husband been trapped in, a world without the Honkai where her daughter got to grow up as a normal girl and they were a normal family. She remembered what Theresa had told her and what they found at Babylon Tower. She lamented to herself how the 2nd Herrscher was just an innocent child taken from her home likely after losing everything, then experimented on and abused until the Honkai turned her into a monster. She regretted not being able to save her in the end all she could do was comfort her until her death as Schicksal tried to kill them along with Siegfried with atomic fire.
As she went over her thoughts she opened her eyes and then she realized no one was in the room this time. "No one is here," she tried to say out loud in the tank after which she soon regretted it as the liquid that had been sustaining her soon flowed out and into her mouth. After briefly gasping or want seemed to be gasping to her she took a look at her surroundings first the room was empty meaning no one was going to knock her out for god knows how long again the eighth to hundredth time she admitted it herself head she honestly really lost count of many times that happened to be honest with herself.
She soon realized she had a very good opportunity to escape all she needed to do was get out of the tank. With that, she began to use her enhanced strength to break out of the tube she assumed Otto had put her in. Due to it being a rather small tube, she didn't have the space to use her legs the way she wanted. So she relied on her fists. She punched the glass repeatedly to the point her knuckles startled to bleed not she cared it was a small sacrifice to see her daughter and husband again.
Little did she realize her knuckles already began to heal themselves from her endeavor. As what seemed to go on for an hour she finally cracked and broke through the glass. After that, she made a hole large enough to jump through. She quickly fell onto the floor with a loud thump. After vomiting the fluid that had made itself home in her body during her time in the tank she then finally spoke out loud for the first time in seemingly forever.
"I'm out," she spat out into the room despite the risks as some part of her wanted to hear her voice after so much time.
She got up off the floor and looked at herself. She seemed to be wearing a white medical gown. She moved to the door. After opening it she made her plan first to get out of the room she knew the alarms would go off soonish or at least they should. First things first we're to get out of her current outfit, second, get out of the building and find out where she is, third figure out where to go, and finally find her husband and daughter.
Her first step was getting some new clothes, which she thought to herself if this was the average Schicksal base that meant every other floor had at least one security room/locker which stored spare equipment for on-site Valkyries and security. She just needs to find the room and use her codes as an S rank to open the lockers.
Surprisingly it didn't take as long as she thought as she explored while trying to avoid cameras. The building seemed older than most of the bases she had been in over the years. That thought stayed in her head as she swept the floor with absolute caution looking for hopefully an empty security locker.
She eventually checked the whole floor there wasn't one on this floor so following regulations she knew that should be one on the floors above and below she quickly and carefully went to the stairs she could have used the elevator but it was more likely to cause her to run into someone even if there were eight of them.
She tried to get down the stairs as quickly and quietly as possible but she didn't go too fast as much as wanted to get back to her family, she didn't have any shoes despite having an enhanced body due to her Stigma and other such augmentations she has gotten as a child she still didn't like the feel of running with bare feet on cold metal. Second, it was distracting, which was the last thing she needed.
She got to the lower floor and unlike the previous one had windows she soon recognized where she was. "Kolosten," Cecilia whispered in a hushed manner hoping she wasn't heard.
She was at Schicksal's old HQ the whole time she looked at the snow outside that she could see even at this height.
With that information both a surge of hope and concern first she now was she was which made escaping indefinitely easier second it meant Otto Apocalypse had his hand in this which she had already assumed but this confirmed it. Valkyrie knew that if he was involved that her life after getting out of the building much harder even if she found Siegfried and Kiana was she was most likely going to be on his most wanted list and if the Overseer had one thing it was patience so the likelihood of getting out his crosshairs was unlikely to happen in her lifetime. That unnerved her but all of that was for later she needed a change of dress and a weapon.
She soon found the locker room/floor armory. The room was standard two rows of storage space with it all empty with the back wall facing the outside containing spare weapons and equipment. There were no windows in this room, only artificial lights. Everything had been planned for an attack depending on the floor and situation so personnel always was able to prepare for the worst while this was one of the smaller rooms most likely.
She looked at the consoles on the storage lockers and put in her codes. Then there was the moment of truth they would go off if they were read as incorrect and the whole building, no the city would know she was here. For what seemed to be an eternity it loaded them in. Then the acceptance tone sounded with a green light. She opened it in a hurry she knew that even if wasn't caught opening it she knew she l had limited time before her access was logged into the system once they checked with the combat personnel on the base and went over the cameras they would know she was there.
She went through the lockers, thankful it had everything she needed: weapons, uniforms, and spare battle suits, even if she didn't recognize models. It seemed Otto had everything updated after Sirin was defeated by her husband and he dropped a nuke on the three of them. She tore off her medical gown they had somehow put on her while she was asleep then put on her new gear.
Cecilia decided to put on a spare battle suit, a winter weather security jacket for the cold along with some nice comfortable snow boots. She decided not to leave the gown she was in on the floor where she left it while she was changing. She wasn't planning on taking it with her so she did decide to put it into a trash bin in the room so it hopefully wouldn't be seen for a bit in case someone came in here soonish. She honestly didn't like how she was feeling at the moment. She wasn't wearing anything under her new clothes and they weren't meant to so they stung in the worse places. She also managed to find a pistol she was familiar with. She could grab a larger weapon but she needed to get a pass from any local law enforcement. She was already going to be on the run for the next few weeks at best, more likely months so she really couldn't afford it.
She left the room in a hurry unlike earlier she now had a pair of somewhat comfortable shoes on her the goal now was to get to the ground floor and the hangers and hopefully steal a transport. Also maybe raid one of the funds' boxes for some crash.
She continued to move down the stairs of the building heading to the level connected to the administration wing of the labs to hopefully find one of the bases of the books' slush fund boxes. That was the next step of the plan but there was a general question if the base still had any Otto might gotten rid of them in the last couple of years. She didn't know she had spent the last few years raising her daughter; she only managed to stay up to date with regulations due to her role as the only S rank even then it was mostly as a Valkyrie she only had to learn a lot of the border regulations, for her plans for Saint Freya her knowledge on the subject was expanded. Said plans were now dead in the water and she doubted that the Overseer would enact those plans now.
She got to the floor she wanted to get to only to find the entrance locked for some reason…
" Well, that was completely unexpected," she thought to herself. It was the door to the office block of the building as the main labs were semi-isolated from the rest of the building for security and health reasons so a floor designed to link the two without issue would be true. From what she can tell the floor was blocked off by the electronic locks on doors here somehow from the inside. That changed her plans quite a bit.
So after that and double back to the previous floors to check the other entrances were also blocked. For some unknown reason. Which was annoying due to the fact she spent a good 20 minutes doubling back and slipping past the cameras to check all the mandatory staircases that led out and into it.
Ultimately she decided to skip the part of her plan which required her to look around and steal an unknown amount of money from an on-site Schicksal shush fund that might not exist due to updates on how non-project funds are handled. This was due to getting into that part of the building so she decided to leave as it was for her good.
So the only S rank of Schicksal went to the next step of her plan to get transportation out of Kolosten and hopefully get in contact with her family.
About half an Hour after deciding to move on with the next part of her plan she got to the transport and garage section of the facility. In her head, as Cecilia thought to herself she was glad that all Schicksal was designed to be easily navigable by personnel for the most effective use of resources. She went through her plan once again she got a new set of clothes and a weapon she wasn't able to get into the bureaucratic wing of the building so the getting crash was a bust she had the issue of having no crash meaning she would have to pick pock it forms passer-byes she didn't like the idea more so with Second Eruption probably putting most people these days on an ill footing with their finances.
The third part of transport she was on to doing right now. She would preferably avoid anyone's private car and steal one of the "company" vehicles instead she could grab an aircraft but that would probably tell everyone what she was doing quite quickly if she was honest. She would need to hotwire said car without the key but Ziggy taught her how to do that and why her husband knew she didn't know and had no intention of finding out. She continued to walk down the hall.
As she walked down the hallway to the base's garage she thought of what she was planning to do next. Cecilia went over it in her mind first she thought to herself she needed to get as far away from the old HQ as possible within reason, of course, she added in her head "The second was to find a way to contact her husband" she listed off. The last part she told herself was to get funds she had planned to steal from any on-site crash stores which existed in case funds needed to be transferred off the books locally. Since she got locked out by the electronic locks of all things she had to scrap that idea in fear of someone seeing her or being spotted in whatever caused it. She ran her head over her plans over and over again thinking about how her best bet of Berlin due to how to close with was and the fact that its status as a national capital meant it was unlikely Schicaksal would risk its soft power setting up monitoring stations and such despite her former employer's power he still couldn't fight multiple nation-states backed by international alliances. As it would put too many Valkyries in a dilemma about loyalties. There was a reason why AE was able to break off from Schicaksal, one of which was that the United States preferred a local organization to an international one that had no way to regulate or have any checks on. After getting off subject in her head Cecilia went back to a topic she realized she was going to need money or rely on whatever non-Schicaksal social services existed to find her husband if he had left which was likely. her opinion the other option was Theresa would be problematic due to how fast the Overseer would find out but it was granted to work.
She was thinking how annoying not being able to check for those one-site funds boxes was once she got out of Kolonstein thinking about how she was going to make the idiot who messed up the electronic systems rue the day they did it.
After that, some time passed Cecilia continued down the hall until she reached a hall with a single left turn there she finally ran into someone.
When a few orange shoots fired out onto the wall at the side on her right as the turn in the hallway was on her left. At that moment Cecilia Schariac stopped as she recognized the rounds she knew what weapon and who should be firing them unless something had happened there was only one weapon to which they could belong.
Knowing that Cecilia stopped took out her pistol, put it on the floor then kicked it down the hall to the point that a person coming up could see it and she waited. After a couple of minutes she slowly continued to walk down the hall and make the turn there she saw something was expecting to see in months.
"Cecilia?" said Siegfried Kaslana with shock and suspicion in his voice and face as he saw his dead wife again as he held what appeared to be the two's daughter in his left arm with one-half of the seventh divine key in the other hand.
POV Siegfried
At this moment all Siegfried Kaslana could say was his formerly dead wife's name. To which he got an answer.
"Siegfried, what are you doing with our daughter here? Did the Overseer put her here too?" she asked him
Sieg took a deep breath and spoke to his wife " Cecilia first this isn't exactly Kiana" he told her slowly. "I came to rescue her but I do have a question, how are you alive?"
"What?"That was the only reaction Cecilia had to her husband's words to her.
Siegfried blinked and had a look of resignation and spoke again "Cecilia it's been over a year since the 2nd Eruption as far as everyone knew you died when Otto dropped that nuke on our heads".
"You thought I was dead, Siegfried? I've been in this lab for over a year!" She said with a bit of worry and shock but she quickly regained herself and spoke again "And what do you mean she isn't exactly our daughter?" She pointed to the sleeping girl who was being carried in his left arm.
Siegfried decided to explain things to his wife in a calm manner as well as he could "She's a clone like Theresa, Otto made her be the second Herrscher of the Void". After finishing that bombshell to his spouse he hoped she wouldn't be too mad about the other surprise he had in store for her.
"Is Kiana safe?" Cecilia Immediately asked him.
"Well about that" Siegfried began but stopped after he saw the white-haired blur that was coming to the both of them.
"Mommy!" a girl about 6 to 7 years old said as ran up and hugged Cecilia.
"Kiana, what are you doing here!" Cecilia said with extreme worry and surprise. Meanwhile, the Ivory-haired little girl was busy trying to give her mother the biggest hug possible, with not much effect due to her being below her waist in height.
"As you see I had a tag-along," Siegfried said diplomatically to his wife or tried to.
"A tag along?" Cecilia responded with a look that could kill.
"Yes," Siegfried said back to her, fearing his wife's wrath and anger more since he just reunited with her.
"I see" she blinked as Kiana slowly stopped clinging to her.
"You should probably pick up your gun," Siegfried told her due to the probable need for it if things go wrong.
"Right," Cecilia said back to him as she separated herself from Kiana then picked up the pistol from the ground she stole, and holstered it at her hip all with Siegfried's eyes following her as she did it.
"Well next thing is to get out of the building," Siegfried said out loud but not really to anyone in the hall.
"Right but Ziggy," Cecilia asked her husband.
"Yes dear" Siegfried responded to her.
"Perhaps you should give our other daughter to me. We would all be safer if you could use both halves of the Shamash" She finished.
"Probably" Siegfried agreed with her then he handed her the sleeping child he was carrying and upholstered the other half of the divine key he owned all with a bit of hesitation.
" I hope you have a plan to get us out here and some safe and preferably far away," Cecilia said as was adjusting herself to carry the sleeping girl now on her shoulder.
" Don't worry I do," Siegfried said without much thought.
"Yeah, it's a cool jet!" Kiana stated completely as she missed the seriousness of her parents' conversation.
" A jet?" Cecilia responded to her daughter's comment as the family of four followed Siegfried down the hall that connected a bit further back behind where Cecilia had come from
"It's better than it sounds", Siegfried began " Einstein, and Tesla designed it, it is for stealth so Otto and the rest of Schicksal hopefully wouldn't notice until we are gone" he finished.
"I see where it is?" Cecilia asked wanting to know the Anti-entropy craft she was supposed to be entrusting her family with.
"Where I left it in the woods near the lab," he said with confidence hoping to soothe his wife's nerves.
"I take it we're talking the safest way there," Cecilia asked him.
"Fastest actually but that's the same thing in this situation" Siegfried responded. As they continued out of the building.
"Ok," Cecilia said back to him, but not in the way that would assume she was calmer like Siegfried hoped she would when he told her his answer.
"Mama, why did everyone say you were dead?" Kiana asked not that things seemed that they would be going soon.
"Honestly, I don't know, I think everyone just thought I was after the Second eruption," Cecilia said to her daughter not explaining the full truth of the matter but indirectly telling her confusion on the subject.
"Then how did everyone think you were dead Mommy?" Kiana responded with a bit of confusion due to her mother's non-answer.
Before Cecilia could say something, Siegfried spoke up "Well baby doll the bad man you put your little sister and mommy here and told everyone your mom was dead meanwhile I was in the hospital with your uncle Welt so when I got back everyone told me that your momma was dead" Siegfried finished.
Kiana responded to her father "So the reason I ever thought mommy was gone was because of a bad man?"
"That's right kiddo," Siegfried said to his daughter with a faint smile. The former Knight of Schicksal continued to his planned exit point with his family before he spoke again "Cecilia we should be about ten minutes away from getting out of here".
"What?" Cecilia said a bit surprised at that statement.
"We almost missed Mom?!" Kiana said loudly, joining her mother's shock.
"Pretty much girls, also Kiana remember what I said we got here?" Siegfried said to both of them.
"We have to be quiet," Kiana said seemingly from memory. Siegfried nodded at his daughter and continued down the planned escape route.
"So, Ziggy, I am asking to get an idea about the rest of the journey. How far is your jet away from the lab?" Cecilia asked her husband.
Siegfried took a deep breath and spoke to his wife "Well it's about a mile off the flight will take about three hours at best probably five due to it being a different landing site than take off it's a bit further also I had most of our stuff get moved but its likely Otto might take it. I also disposed of most of the data for this op before leaving for the same reason".
"I see" Cecilia replied to him, meanwhile her eyes went back and forth between her daughters.
As she did that Siegfried thought about what they were going to do once they got to Anti-Entropy well first was getting his new kid looked at second was ensuring Otto didn't do anything to his wife in her mostly forced stay here at the Kolosten labs, third was probably getting them all something to eat it would have to be nice since it would his younger daughter's first meal, on that he noted to ask Cecilia to figure out a name for her. He wasn't calling her Kiana-B despite his eldest's ideas about clones.
The four continued their careful move out of the labs until they got to an exit
"Well everyone from this point onward we will be running," Siegfried Kaslana said matter of factly.
Cecilia spoke up guessing " I guess using this door will tell everyone we are here?"
"No," Siegfried told his wife bluntly.``that virus Tesla and Einstein worked on will probably be dealt with by now and everyone will probably notice we're here soon" he finished.
"A virus?" Cecilia said with a face telling her husband she already knew the effects of the malware AE had infected labs with.
"Yup a virus it disabled the security systems, cut off the administrative wing from the rest of the building, and kept the labs from contacting the rest of Schicksal. It has probably been deleted by now." Siegfried said. He explained probably knowing his wife already knew the effects but said so in the hope whatever inconvenience didn't make her too mad.
The rogue head of house Kaslana opened the rather heavy door outside revealing the Winter Austrian snow lying outside it blowing into the building after that the family of four stepped onto the winter snow outside revealing it be the early evening. Following which following Seigfried the four of them shot straight out of the grounds of the lab and into the woods surrounding the area heading into the forest to the stealth jet Anti Entropy had prepared and given him due to it being about a mile away from their current location it took a bit to get there.
When they did. "Momma, Daddy I'm tired, are we there yet?" The small girl asked her mother and father, tired from moving/walking/running for an extended period since she had tagged along with her father on this mission in the first place.
That is when Cecilia spoke up in response to her exhausted daughter "Kiana sweety I know you are tired but can you wait a bit longer?" Cecilia asked her tired child who had been at this point moving around for an undisclosed amount of time since she had gone to Kolsten with her father. Meanwhile, her unnamed little sister/clone moved around a bit in their mother's arms as had been done from time to time since was placed in her arms when her mother took over carrying her from her father. The young child mainly moved her head blinking looking at the bare trees in the winter forest.
That is when Kiana spoke again to her mother " Ok, Momma but can I sit for a little bit" saying was a bit dejected.
Before either of the mother-daughter pair could continue their conversation Siegfried spoke up " Well Kiana you don't need to walk that much since we are here" He finished pointing to the clearing in front of them.
"Siegfried there is nothing here" Cecilia started looking at space in the middle of the forest.
"Well, that's what you think it is but not how it is," Siegfried said a bit smugly to his wife as clicked something that he had taken out of his pants. Then a blue simmer happened over the majority of the field leading to the reveal of the previously invisible stealth fighter.
"Yay, no more walking" Kiana responded with a new sense of energy now knowing she wasn't going to walk for the next bit of their journey. Meanwhile, her mother blinked a bit as she had to deal with the fussy five-year-old in her arms that was now amazed at the new sight before her eagerly trying to reach to see what it was.
"Well daughters and my lady I present to you all air Kaslana," Siegfried said to his wife and children as he opened the cockpit while his wife was fussing over their children.
With that, the three got in with Ziggy into the jet with Cecilia despite the fact she was unfamiliar with the plane they were now getting into spent most of their pre-lift-off time making sure both her daughters were secure in their seats and then getting situated in her own as her husband got the jetfighter ready for take off.
As the parents got ready for that, not too far away the labs of Kolsten realized what happened and were searching for them. Unfortunately for them, they were too late. Siegfried was done getting their ride ready and already made the plane unseeable once more with that the stealth fighter took off with vertical lift into the air beginning its long flight.
Siegfried was weary his day was not going to plan outside of one thing first his daughter had slipped aboard with him on his trip to Kolsten, second, he had met what he wanted to believe was his dead wife returned to him. Then said wife was pissed off at him by revealing he had let Kiana ``tag along" on his mission along with that virus Tesla and Einstein had made her day less easy during her escape he probably shouldn't have gone into detail about it. Finally, it was the fight itself. The whole thing was 6 hours going from the base he and his daughter had left to Kolsten to the base in the middle of the ocean that AE had wanted him to go to. Yup for Seigfried ``Ziggy" Kaslana his day was not going as planned outside of one thing he got his other daughter out safe.
Before he began touching down to the runway and spoke to the operator at the control tower "This is dark wings one to Iron Nest over" he said with clear exhaustion in his voice.
"We read you, Dark Wings 1 clear to begin to touch down and welcome to Pacific base Orlando," the base air traffic controller said over the commons.
"Thank you we also need an additional med team Iron Nest," Siegfried said
"We read you Dark Wings telling a relaying request" responds the man at the commons.
With that, Siegfried took the plane in a loop around the visible sea base and landed in the middle of the night. After that, he got the plan to roll up and down to near where everyone would enter. As he slowed down and opened the hatch he was greeted by Dr. Tesla and two teams of the base's best medical staff.
"Siegfried, you said you need an additional team. What did you do, you meathead? We already need to worry about Welt due to the heroic nonsense he pulled during the Second Eruption!" She yelled angrily at him in her lab coat as he was getting out of the jet they loaned him.
"Well Kiana and I are fine it's the fourth passenger you need to worry about" the former knight had responded to her in a drowsy tone as clearly started to relax after this entire debacle.
"Fourth? You brought someone else with you outside the second Herrscher of the Void. Did you grab Kiana's godmother, a scientist who defected, a random Valkyrie who decided to join in a rare moment of common sense after seeing their Overseer's actual face?" Tesla questioned the man as he walked out of the plane.
"Well I wouldn't call myself a random Valkyrie who gained common sense but I guess that's pretty close to what happened in the end," Cecilia said to the scientist with her sleeping daughters as she got with her husband and down next to the doctor.
"Aren't you dead?" Tesla said quite bluntly with a fair bit of surprise in her voice next to her as the medical teams went over the woman and her children.
"That is what people think," Cecilia said, a bit drained as Siegfried helped take Kiana so the Anti Entropy base medical staff could go over to her mother and sister and usher them inside.
After a bit, Siegfried was sitting in a room at the edge of his bed waiting for medical work to be done he was tried very tired even after taking a nap and putting his daughter to sleep he was tried he wanted to be there with his "new" child and wife but Tesla said he needed some sleep so he tried to get some but he couldn't stay that way so here he was sitting in a room that was assigned to him on his bed in a shirt and shorts he had put on after getting his daughter diner and putting her to bed, honestly he was ready to collapse but he couldn't one thought went through the Kaslana head "what is happening with Cecilia" it when though his mind over and over again to the point he couldn't sleep and he was sitting at the edge of the bed thinking because that was all he could do.
That is how Siegfried was for a while until Tesla came back into the room again. "Siegfried, you're still awake," she asked. Then she turned and saw him on the bed "I thought you would have fallen asleep by now," the doctor asked.
"I couldn't have too much on my mind, might I ask why you are here?" The former Schicksal Knight asked the Anti-Entropy scientist.
"Well we're done with Ceclia's exams and we have done a full look at her. I wanted you to see first and also are done with your daughter as well but both of them are asleep right now," She told the man.
"Really," was all Seigfried said upon learning that news.
After that, he left with the doctor to find out what the medical team had learned about what the Overseer had done to his wife and second child.
Now in a room with both Tesla and Einstein, Siegfried sat at the end of the table in a set of pants and jacket rather than walk around the base in what amounted to pajamas as he stared to look at the medical files the two of them had given him.
"So she isn't a perfect twin of Kiana and has eight percent of the original Herrscher of the void?" Siegfried asked semi-rhetorically.
"Yes that is indeed what our staff has determined after the initial blood sample was taken from after we put her to sleep to do our medical evaluations," Einstein told him clearly without malice or much emotion.
"That loon of an Overseer probably added it to make her more compatible with the core. On the bright side, she is perfectly healthy for a child for her age. besides on mental faculties, we haven't figured out that one yet" Tesla added.
"Cecilia is who she says she is, she is my wife and Kiana and her sister's mother she isn't fake or a clone right?" Siegfried asked rather abruptly.
Tesla made a hard look at Kaslana's head and spoke "Well based on everything we tested so far, yes, no genetic markers in her DNA or cells that would mark her as a clone her hand and fingerprints are the same as well. There is only one thing that is different from Cecilia that "died" during the second eruption" She finished before handing over a tablet with Cecilia's medical information on it.
Siegfried looked at the tablet and looked at the information checking if Tesla didn't skip anything other people would view as important. Then he spoke, "She has one of Sirin's gems in her body!"Siegfried said with a mixture of shock and an undercurrent of rage. "That mother fucker first tries to kill her with a nuke then shoves want amounts to undeveloped Herrscher core inside her after telling everyone she is dead what for his amusement?" "Some sort of sick joke?' He added.
"Seigfried," Einstein said, "I understand your shock and rage at your situation. Honestly, you are handling it better than most people in your situation would but if you need to take a moment to get your emotions out please feel free to leave the room no one wants to force you to do anything". The descendant of one of the world's greatest minds finished.
"Thank you but I'm fine, I just had a lot on my plate," Siegfried said tiredly.
"That is understandable you probably haven't had that much sleep in the last few days and it was a minor miracle that your rescue of your wife and child went as well as it did," Einstein said in a voice that expressed her empathy for the man's situation.
"Thank you," the head of house Kaslana said simply.
"No need I'm just giving the logical summarization of your situation," Einstein said back to him.
"It still helped," Siegfried replied to the scientist.
"Well that is everything since Cecilia and the child are still asleep, perhaps it's time we all get to bed and take care of the rest of this in the morning" Tesla injected "Also feel free to keep looking at those until your head to bed Mr. Kaslana," Tesla added.
Which did for about an hour then he went to bed a bit better than the first time. He woke up around the same time as his daughter. They both got ready for the day and went to the base's cafeteria.
"Dad," Kiana asked her father.
"Yes, babydoll?" Siegfried respwaned to his daughter.
"We should get food for Mom and little Sis too!"Kiana said confidently
"Well Kiana if they're awake we can get them food too but first let's get some breakfast ok" Siegfried respawned to his daughter.
"OK!" Kiana said back to her dad cheerfully.
With that, the pair ate breakfast together at the AE base with Siegfried grabbing some cereal while Kiana ate a good helping of fruit and other foods. The two ate quietly for about ten minutes sitting at one of the tables at the side of the room once they finished they left.
After that, Siegfried decided to see his wife and brought his daughter with him. Tesla had told him where her room was via the info tablets he gave him last night so he decided to see her.
"Dad, are you sure this is Mommy's room?" Kiana questioned, still remembering how she found out how they almost missed her mother she was a bit nervous about losing her again.
"Don't worry I got her room from Dr. Tesla, you remember her right?" Siegfried asked his daughter.
"Yes," Kiana answered.
"That's good," Siegfried said to his daughter, glad the young girl remembered his friend.
After they finished walking towards the door and opened the room. In it, they found what amounted to be a quarantine chamber built to monitor the woman inside as she sat on her bed. Cecilia Schariac was in what amounted to a room inside of a see-through cube winch and was in turn surrounded by various monitoring equipment and medical devices. She had been in a different room at the start but she had been moved after the gem implanted in her chest was found. So here she was Cecilia Schariac mother, formerly one now two, wife, S-rank Valkyrie and someone assumed dead by the whole world sitting in what amounted to a high-tech quarantine room.
That is when Siegfried walked in with their daughter. "Can we go in?" he asked one of the doctors in the room.
"Yes Mr. Kaslana, She has also been cleared against any surprises and we gave her some clothes outside of the medical gown we had her wear," respawned back the doctor that Siegfried was speaking to.
"Thanks," Siegfried said to the man before walking in with Kiana in tow.
"Momma," Kiana said as she went to her mother, hugging her, blitzing past her father for the second time in the last 20 hours.
"Good morning Kiana," Cecilia said to her daughter with a warm smile comparable to the sun.
"Morning Mommy," Kiana said to her, still hugging her and smiling as she said it.
Siegfried watched all of this still in the door of his wife's "cube" and smiled for the first time in a while his family finally felt whole.
"Well, Kiana asked me this while we got breakfast about thirty minutes ago. Have you had anything to eat? Kiana wanted to get you something but I wanted to check?"Siegfried asked his wife.
"I'm fine Ziggy I had food when awoke, and then they gave me the clothes I'm currently wearing it seems I got up a bit earlier than the both of you as well it seems that hasn't changed" she finished causing her husband to take note of what she was wearing which was a simple long-sleeved white shirt and a pair of black pants.
"What about sis?" Kiana had now asked after separating from her mother.
POV Cecila
What about her new daughter that was thought in her head now after her daughter said it? That question went through her mind along with others. "So Ziggy, how did Kiana tag along?" she decided to ask first knowing that things had calmed down for a time.
"Well that is an interesting story," Siegfried said awkwardly.
Thus began the current wielder of Seventh Divine key explanation of how his 7-year-old daughter managed to stow away onto an advanced fighter jet provided by one of the most powerful organizations in the world in a matter that didn't enrage his newly returned from seeming dead wife.
"Well, now that it's done, how about we visit our new child?" Cecilia asked her husband while indicating she wasn't satisfied with his explanation.
"Really," said Kiana who hadn't been paying attention at this point despite her intelligence she still found her parents' adult talk boring even if it was about her.
"Yes," said Siegfried matter-of-factly.
"Well I have been meaning to meet my second child properly now that you are both here I have no reason to stay in this room other than continue to prove my good health to Anti Entropy," Cecilia said in a slightly teasing way.
After that, she walked to the door of the rooms with Kiana following like a duckling following its mother. Meanwhile, Siegfried took slightly longer if only to ensure it was fine for his wife to leave. Soon Siegfried took the lead as Cecilia didn't know the facility and Kiana didn't know where her sister was.
After a bit, they got to where the second Herscher of the void was resting." So that's her", Cecilia said to herself in her head. Looking at the girl looked identical to Kiana outside of her looking a bit younger compared to her sister and the dead empty look in her eyes like she was in an almost completely unaware situation.
"Hello, do you know me?" Cecilia said as she approached the bed K-423 was sitting in. The girl blinked and tilted her head, recognizing the woman that had carried her around for the last leg of her escape from the Overseer's private labs.
"Hi sis," Kiana said a bit louder than her mother's induction, causing the girl on the bed to look at her rather than the woman that was currently hovering over her.
"Siegfried has given any thought to what to call her? Cecilia asked her husband.
"Yes but I honestly haven't come up with any names Kiana has come up with but we aren't using those for obvious reasons," he said while looking at his daughter.
"I see, hmmm what should we call you little one," Cecilia said as she put her closed hand under her lip to think for a moment.
"I think I got it," Cecilia said shortly after thinking for a bit. She then got down to eye level with her younger daughter on the bed and spoke.
" Your name is Stella, do you like it?" Cecilia asked. Stella sat there emotionless for a moment then surprisingly nodded accepting the name given to her by her mother.
With that, the second child of the void was named forever more. History would tell an interesting tale as well.
